Skeppy laid on his bed, eyes drawn to his ceiling as he took a swig of alcohol. A familiar burning sensation irritating his throat, tho he didn’t feel it as his mind was in a completely other space. He took a glance at his bedside table, taking note of the lamp, the alarm clock, and. . . an old picture with bad. His expression immediately soured as he moved his arm to grab the picture and place it face down so he wouldn’t see the happy face of his—now ex—best friend and the also happy boy standing right next to him. He made a sound of displeasure as he turned his head back to look at the ceiling, his mind going foggy then blank after a while.
A few days ago. .
It was a normal day, a day full of happy memories, a happy picnic, and small fits of laughter. Who knew that this would be the very day everything went wrong? Well, Skeppy and Bad didn’t know.
Skeppy laughed as he watched and listened to Bad’s ranting about Rat’s unintelligence as she ran around the grassy lands, eventually losing her intense energy and plopping down on the grass.
Skeppy chuckled as he watched Lucy rest, knowing a small dog like her was bound to get loads of energy again. Tho, the happy silence only lasted for a few seconds as Bad’s phone went off. He glanced over to the slightly vibrating phone and took notice of the caller’s id, it being from Quackity
“Oh, Quackity’s calling!” He stated, picking up his phone and answering the call. Meanwhile, the calm expression on Skeppy’s face immediately soured as he listened to Bad and Quackity’s talking. . For some reason, he felt something more than what a friend would feel about their friend talking to someone else. A feeling similar to jealousy, tho more than jealousy.
Skeppy glanced over and narrowed his eyes at the phone screen, listening intently at the subtle flirting and lewd jokes directed to the very oblivious bad. He sighed internally as Bad ended the call with a ‘bye’ that sounded way too friendly for his liking.
“Sorry skep-“ Bad started, before getting rudely interrupted by Skeppy
“Bad. I don’t like how friendly you are with Quackity.”
“. . .” There was a small moment of silence as Bad took in the words Skeppy said. “What?”
“I said I don’t like you being friendly with Quackity. Don’t you see the jokes he makes? They’re obviously sexual, Bad.”
“ ‘Geppy. . There’s no way you’re jealous right now!” Bad chuckled, clearly finding the thought of Skeppy being jealous very amusing
“Jealous? Why would I be jealous? That’s. . a stupid accusation.” Skeppy replied coldly, a pout clearly visible
“ ‘Geppy, its okay to be jea—“
“No, Bad. I’m not jealous. I’m just annoyed with how close you and Quackity have been lately.” He cuts off Bad once again. His tone frozen cold with how much he’s pissed
“Skeppy, that’s stupid.” Bad groans, starting to get frustrated with how skeppy is starting a fight out of nothing.
“Stupid? You think my feelings are stupid?” Skeppy says, twisting every word Bad just said
“No, Skeppy—“ Bad sighs as he runs his hand through his hair, trying to calm down “Don’t twist my words. Of course i don’t think your feelings are stupid.”
“Isn’t that what you said tho? You said, me being annoyed about you and Quackity hanging out is stupid.” Skeppy’s voice rose as he started to stand, planning to walk away
Bad grabbed Skeppy’s hand, preventing him from walking way, “No— Well, yes. But that’s not what i meant!”
“Yeah? What’d you mean then?” Skeppy asked, pulling his hand out of his grasp and glaring down at him with an emotion he can’t name.
“Skeppy. . Don’t act like a child!” Bad stood up also, his eyes tearing up.
“. . Fuck you, Bad.” Skeppy mumbled as he turned his back and began walking away. He turned his head back to look at his once ‘forever’ best friend, “I hate you.”
