YEAR 20XX.
Hoards of treasure, undiscovered wealth, mystical creatures and mythologies, ancient scrolls and artworks, uncovered frontiers, secrets entailing the truth of mankind…
…in an open world, this is what all Spectrals are captivated by.
Captain Toad, but why just that? Toad is merely a social name for Mushroomians that are born male. His actual name, unheard by anyone in the castle, is Enoki Va Foraged White Button. The birth of this boy is mysterious, but his earliest memory is a dream.
A dream… to find the Power Star, and this year it was the perfect chance for the Mushroom Kingdom to send a representative to find it, while Hyrule was still trying to find a rumored "Fourth Secret Triforce".
Enoki has travelled every inch of the Mushroom Kingdom, and even the world, leading to the discovery of many fossils and creatures.
“This fossil on the Cascade Kingdom could indicate that there were dinosaurs even before the Yoshis!” Last year's revolutionary discovery!
The absolute high of encountering species and trying to understand them. Koopas, Goombas, Bullet Bills, Thwomps— he could be friends with any of them.
Only by the legendary ship known as the Odyssey did he experience the air, for he refused to jump. His feet against the snow, grass, or sand anchored him to the world. It was as if he was so close to the core of this world.
A hero would need to jump, right? Perhaps that's why no one paid attention to his journey…
But he wouldn’t want to be anywhere else.
Creatures are not enemies on Quests, they're just existing like the rest of us!
I don't care if they're Koopas or King Koopa himself, they're all… fascinating!
East, south, west, north.
Summer, winter, spring, fall.
To the moon, to the skies, to the ruins.
Grabbing coins, collecting Shells, flying with clouds.
Just enjoying the journey, even if he's still searching for what he dreamed of.
He knew all these experiences would culminate in the moment he found the Power Star. It is the representation of a Blessing in the Mushroom Kingdom, so he could only wonder what he'd be blessed with.
A wish? What would it be? A million coins? More Power Stars? A Power Up?
He couldn’t wait to see!
And at the other edge of the continent, inside of the legendary Thwomp Cave, he found it. After conversing with the King, he was granted access to the Eastern Tunnel, and there upon the crystal peak, there it was, basked in glory!
“Haha!”
But, he wasn’t the only one after it.
Toadette, but not just that. Her actual name, unheard by anyone in the castle, is Morel Yu Cultivated Chanterelle! The exuberant adventurer, with a mysterious birth and an early dream.
A dream… to find the Power Star.
And that dream brought them here— at a crossroad of destiny. Their courageous hearts connect instantly, their expressions in pure awe, for before them was something greater than even the unknown.
Capturing their kindled spirits… is love!
And so, together, they jump high into the sky for the first time, and touch the Power Star.
The climatic ending of this journey only fueling room for another.
Together, they'll soar to the moon.
Together, they'll encounter danger.
Together, they'll jump.
Together, they'll grab coins.
And if the dark clouds start to swirl, they won't shed a tear, because both share the same thought.
“You… are my One-Up!”
The world’s calling out to them, and with love they'll be able to achieve heights unseen.
Two superstars, taking a chance and shredding their cares away, to begin their own personal Odyssey!!!!!
