I will be calling Dazai, Osmau, because otherwise it will low-key get super confusing. But Im sorta flakey with this so bear with me. T-T
So Osamu's parents have a different last name because I needed a reason for Dazai to go by Dazai and not Shuuji Tsushima because I headcanon that he changed his name. But what is going on is his parents decided not to change their last names when they got married because they kept their last names. I don't know how common it is in japan but it’s pretty common here in the west.
I figured that Dazai would start by going by his fathers name but then he started using his mothers name. I imagine his sister would use their fathers name, for her first name I used irl Dazai’s sister’s name.
But anyways they are upper-middle class and he goes to a good school but not an overly prestigious school.
His parents are very loving and kind.
Mori is his uncle on his moms side and is NOT a pedo, and sees Elise as his daughter. He’s infertile so that's why he needs to use his ability.
Dazai is still in the Mafia and so is Chuuya. Dazai got in through his grandfather who is the old pm boss. So Dazai is technically is the “heir” but we all know how that will go *cough* ADA *cough* but yeah.
Dazai’s parents aren't homophobic but they're not really “liberals” so like he hasn't come out to them yet but they think he’s at least bi(which he is). They essentially look at him and Chuuya and are like ??HOMO???.
Osamu is still suicidal but its toned down a lot because hes actually happy rn.
Him and Chuuya are like early 16 but after stormbringer so stormbringer happens a bit earlier and they meet at 14.
Sorry if this doesn't make sense lolz. This fic is purely for my self indulgence.
