Chapter Text
“Leon—knock it off…” Claire giggled softly while trying to lightly shrug Leon off of her shoulder as he planted teasing, little kisses from her shoulder up to the crook of her neck—tickling her while she was in the middle of changing into her outfit for the event they were attending at R.P.D. Where he worked as a police officer alongside Chris Redfield, who was Claire’s older brother and his brother-in-law.
“I can’t help it, you’re just so beautiful…and sexy…” Leon’s soft and warm lips were now trailing back down from Claire’s neck back down to her shoulder where he even lowered her bra strap, slowly sliding it down to plant more sensual kisses against her skin.
“Mmm…that feels nice. Really nice…” She admitted while stopping midway from changing into her black, pencil skirt. Leon said nothing more as he attempted to try and trail his kisses even lower along with her bra strap but was stopped by Chris, who was in the middle of bottle feeding his niece and Leon and Claire’s daughter, Charlotte.
“You two keep that up and Lottie will be a big sister.” Chris announced out loud and watched Leon jump slightly as he pulled away from Claire and Claire couldn’t help but chuckle while adjusting her bra strap by pulling it back over her bare shoulder.
“Good timing.” She responded to her brother while Leon glared over at Chris with an unfriendly and slightly annoyed look on his face.
“Yeah, good timing…” Leon muttered softly, repeating Claire’s statement as his attention shifted from Chris down to Lottie, who looked over at him with her large, sparkling, and expressive blue eyes.
“Is Sherry here yet?” Sherry Birkin was their neighbor who lived not too far from them and she was only a teenager, around fourteen years old, and she was also their daughter’s babysitter.
“Not yet. Leon, how about letting my kid sister finish changing instead of trying to impregnate her again?” Chris was very overprotective of Claire, has been since Leon first met Claire…and then met him through her. He liked Chris most days, but sometimes he drove him crazy with him constantly lingering over their heads and acted more like a dad than a brother at times.
“We’re married, Redfield, I can ‘impregnate’ Claire as many times as I’d like.” He emphasized one particular word, shooting a shot at Chris, and earning a soft giggle from his wife as she was now changing into a pretty, silky, long sleeved blouse that was the color of deep and rich ruby-red before she then pulled her hair out from a ponytail, which was her signature hairstyle, and Leon watched her long, brunette hair fall and flow over her shoulders and her hair touched the very center of her back. He often forgot how long her hair actually was when she wore it down and it made her look even more beautiful if possible.
“Keep it up, Kennedy, and I’ll be sure you can’t make another baby.” Lottie softly cooed and gurgled in his arms, her mouth still over the rubber nipple of her baby bottle as she was now looking up at him. Chris smiled down at his niece while brushing aside her bangs which were the same color as Leon’s hair which looked between either dirty-blond or light brunette, much lighter shade than Claire’s. They all could overhear the doorbell ringing from outside their apartment front door.
“That must be Sherry. Hurry up, lovebirds.” Chris teased them once more as he stepped out with their daughter to greet Sherry, leaving the married couple alone once more as Leon finished getting dressed himself, which was only him having to put on his tie, while watching Claire brush her long and pretty hair before applying on a little makeup.
“Your brother is a royal pain in the ass, no offense.” Leon admitted to Claire as he slowly put on his tie around his neck and over the collar of his navy blue dress shirt and occasionally turned his head to watch Claire doll herself up in front of the mirror hanging above the dresser in their bedroom.
“Oh, I know. He’s my brother, I grew up with the guy.” They both chuckled together in unison and once Leon had his tie on and he straightened out his clothes…he walked his way over towards Claire, who was now in the middle of applying on earrings which were simple and small, garnet studs and the metal was sterling silver—a gift from Leon she got for Christmas one year before Lottie was born.
Once Leon was close enough to Claire, he wrapped both his toned and muscular arms around her thin and petite waist…pulling her close against him and kissed the back of her head while inhaling the sweet scent of apples and sweet smelling perfume radiating from her hair.
“You look so stunning, Claire-bear.” Claire looked at Leon in the reflection of the mirror and smiled at him while placing her hands down against his.
“You’re not so bad yourself, Leon.” Her smile widened across her angelic and pale face. Leon planted another kiss against the back of her head, taking in more of her scent from her hair, and his hands were gently rubbing her belly through her silky soft blouse.
“Your body is so gorgeous, god…you look like you didn’t even have a baby.” Lottie was only 9 months old and she was already smiling, cooing, babbling, crawling, and had so much personality. She was almost a year old and both Leon and Claire couldn’t believe it when it felt like just the other day she was just born.
“Is that a compliment?”
“Absolutely.” He moved his face forward and managed to reach his lips over to kiss Claire’s warm and rosy cheek, making the blush more noticeable and prominent now as she turned her head to look directly at his face. He leaned forward and caught her lips with his and they kissed each other sweetly and tenderly…Leon even slipped his tongue inside for a brief moment; gently flicking his tongue over Claire’s, and Claire pulled away and giggled mischievously before telling him, “If I didn’t know any better, I think you’re trying to seduce me and get me pregnant again.” Leon winked half playfully and half seriously at her while trying to stifle back a smirk forming over his lips.
“Lottie is almost a year old…it would be nice for her to have a little brother or sister.” Claire snorted softly while raising an eyebrow at him.
“We’ll get her a puppy or a kitten. Or maybe a pet goldfish. Or even a bird…”
“Aww, you don’t want another baby? I’d love a second one.” Claire rolled her eyes playfully at Leon while trying to look serious but Leon noticed the faint smile over her lips.
“Easy for you to say, you’re not the one who has to carry it and go through morning sickness and hormonal changes for 9 straight months…but I would love another baby with you, someday.” Claire assured her husband as she leaned her face forward once more to kiss his lips and then added in, “But not yet. We still have a baby to take care of…and she’s quite the handful already.” Leon knew she was right. He couldn’t help it though and loved their daughter so much that he wanted another little rugrat of theirs running around and getting into shenanigans with Lottie.
“Doesn’t mean we can’t have a little fun together, still…you have to admit that making the baby is the best part of…well. Y’know.” Leon playfully moved his eyebrows up and down at a quick pace before playfully winking at her and even making a soft clicking sound with his tongue sucking through his teeth. That made Claire smile and giggle once more at him while shaking her head at him.
“You have such a high libido, I swear…” Claire moved a hand up to touch Leon’s hair and pushed back his signature bangs.
“Are you going to comb your hair? Try to look a bit more professional for your own work event?” She teased him while running her fingers through his thick and soft, shaggy hair and gently scratching her average length fingernails across his scalp, making Leon sigh out softly through his nostrils as he closed his eyes and enjoyed the feeling.
“Mmmdon’t want to…” Leon slurred his words a bit while getting lost in the feeling of Claire’s touch and she smiled softly to herself while admiring every detail on Leon’s handsome face and moved her other hand over to gently touch his right cheek and stroked it, watching his eyes slowly open back up to look at her. Claire leaned her face forward this time and kissed Leon’s lips.
“Want me to do it for you?” She offered and Leon couldn’t help but let out a whine as his shoulders slumped over a bit.
“I hate combing my hair back, especially for stupid events…” Claire couldn’t help but chuckle at her husband’s distaste towards having his hair combed back when he liked his bangs where they always were as she moved both hands down to his shoulders to give them a squeeze before moving away to grab a hold of the small, spray bottle of water and his comb from their bathroom to help him with his hair.
“Leeeooon! Claaaiiirrre!” They both overheard Sherry’s voice calling to them in a sing-song sort of way from a not too far distance as she made her way down the hallway leading to their bedroom with baby Charlotte in her arms.
“Hi Sherry! Good to see you, sweetie.” Claire greeted and waved a hand over at Sherry before proceeding to spray water into Leon’s hair and accidentally sprayed some water in his face before she helped him comb his bangs back and away from his face—revealing his entire face now and his serious, blue eyes.
“Hehe, hi Leon. Your hair looks funny like that.” Sherry walked up closer to the couple while playfully bouncing Lottie in her arms and making the baby both smile widely and coo at her while reaching out her little, chubby hands to grab Sherry's golden locket necklace around her neck.
“Aw see? Even Sherry thinks I look stupid…” Leon whined again and his shoulders slumped over again while Claire laughed and shook her head at him.
“You look fine, she didn’t mean it in a bad way. Did you, Sherry?” Sherry was smiling as she shook her head no in response to Claire’s question.
Chris came waltzing back in and he had his own tie on now as he adjusted it around his neck before asking, “Are you two ready yet? Or were you trying to make Lottie a sibling?” Leon rolled his eyes after overhearing Chris’s dumb question as he turned his head to look over at him and Chris’s face went completely blank once he saw that his hair was combed back and broke out into full, bellowing laughter that startled both Sherry and Lottie.
“Shut up, Chris.” Claire waved her hand at her older brother and Leon added in, “It was Claire’s idea to comb my hair like this, don’t say anything…” Gaining a sympathetic look from Claire as she turned to look back at him and placed a hand over his cheek.
“You look fine, Leon. You’re so handsome as always.” She smiled sweetly and lovingly at him before leaning forward to kiss his lips once more before interacting with Sherry; asking her about school and her grades and her friends as well as her parents before reminding her of the numbers to contact in case of any emergencies and showed her where she kept all of Lottie’s bottles and baby food inside the refrigerator in the kitchen as Chris and Leon exited the bedroom together and were all ready to head out with Claire over to the Raccoon City Police Department, famously known as R.P.D., hoping that the event wouldn’t be too long and that it would go over smoothly.
