It was late probably like 1 am. Will was still working on those stupid reports, the same ones he’s been working on for the past few hours.
He knows he promised Nico to spend time with him in his cabin (Nico’s) but right now that’s the last thing on his mind. Right now the only thing he’s focused on is the reports, because in his mind, he’s the only one keeping this camp going.
He just finished one for Percy. He broke his arm… again.
Sigh
“I’m so tired” Will whispered to himself.
He ran his hands over his face then moved the freshly complete report to the bottom of the stack, then was about to start the untouched one underneath it. He only got his name down when a hard knock came on the door.
“WILL! OPEN THE DOOR!”
Will froze. That was Nico’s voice. Why would- SHIT he forgot their plans. He skittishly walks to the door and carefully unlocks it.
“H-heyyyyy sweetheart” Will says trying to smile, but he looks more like a nervous wreck.
“Non chiamarmi "tesoro", brutto stronzo del cazzo!”
(Don't call me "sweetheart," you fucking asshole!)
Huh it’s been a while since he’s been cursed out in Italian
“I know I know I’m sorry I just need to finish a few more” Will admitted sheepishly looking at the ground.
“no the hell you don’t” Nico spat back “ what you need is to go to bed!”
“I’m really not tired”
Will was never good at lying but he just couldn’t stop. He had to finish just a few more reports.
“Fine.” Nico said coldly.
Will finally looked back up on his face. Instead of the expected, Nico was… crying?
“Nico, baby I’m sorry-“
“Please just go to bed. It isn’t about me right now. This isn’t healthy will!”
“I-I know… I’m sorry.”
“just please come to bed” Nico said softly.
“I will”
And with that Will gently took Nico‘s hand and they left for his cabin before anyone caught them.
