"Remember? What are you talking about? You're not going anywhere!"
Kai stood still watching in shock as what was left of his sister Nya walked away from his and to the edge of the building. He watched as Jay ran up to her, telling her to stop, but he himself couldn't move. What had happened to his little sister? She climbed up to the edge of the building. Wu stepped forward and also tried to talk about her town, but she didn't listen. It's like she didn't know any of them. Her mouth opened. She talked but Kai couldn't hear anything and then Nya turned around and dove into the water.
[A few days after Nya's funeral]
Drip drip drip
Kai was sitting on the couch of his and Zane's apartment, the lights were dimmed down to only a soft glow. The couch dipped as another person joined Kai on the sofa.
Drip drip drip
"Kai." Zane said softly. As he set a glass of water down on the side table. Kai didn't respond he didn't even acknowledge his boyfriend. Zane sighed softly. Kai had been like this since Nya died and Zane had no idea how to comfort his grieving boyfriend. He himself had just turned off his emotions at the start but had turned them back on after seeing how it hurt Kai to see Zane drained of his feelings.
Drip drip drip
Zane awoke from his thoughts and focused back onto Kai, who hadn't moved the entire time the nindroid had been there. Zane stood up and grabbed Kai's hand in his.
"I'm going to bed, love, I want you to join me." Zane kissed Kai on the forehead before looking into his eyes as the brunette shook his head.
Drip drip drip
Zane let out a sigh. "I love you." Kai nodded his head before focusing his eyes back to the ground.
Within a few minutes, Zane had gone to bed. Leaving Kai alone with the sound of the faucet in the kitchen.
Drip drip drip
Kai grabbed the water glass that was put there by Zane.

He brought the drink to his lips

He took a sip

"God FUCKING DAMMIT!"
Glass shatters against the wall. The glass cup that was once on the table laid shattered on the ground. Water dripping off the wall it was thrown against.
"THAT FUCKING SOUND!"
Kai stood up looking at the mess he made. Rage filled him. He started heading for the kitchen. The sound of the bedroom door being thrown open behind him didn't make him pause in his stride.
"KAI!" Zane's voice loudly filled the room but didn't make it to Kai's ears
He entered the kitchen. Zane was close to him
"Kai, what's going on?" He didn't respond as he went over to the sink, grabbing the head of the leaky faucet, but before he could do anything, Zane grabbed his hand and pulled it back, turning his entire body to his own.
Zane took a step away from Kai, taken aback a bit by the rage that filled his eyes enough to turn them fiery orange. He quickly composed himself and grabbed his boyfriend's hands into his own
"Kai, your body temperature is way too high. You need to calm down. Zane started cooling his hand down in an attempt to help regulate his temperature. It didn't work as Kai ripped his hands out of Zane's and pushed him away. Zane stumbled back with a surprise clear on his face.
They stood there looking into each other's eyes because of hatred, the other with fear and worry. The silence was thick.

Zane glanced over at the faucet, shaking slightly before the head flew off. Water went spraying everywhere. It grabbed both boys' attention fully and, without a second thought, Zane waved his hand and froze the entire stream, stopping the water in its tracks. The sink looked like it had exploded with ice encasing its entire body.
Zane looked over at Kai, the fiery, seeming to have left him. He stood there, soaked water dripping from his hair. The nindriod, ignoring whatever had happened to the faucet, turned his attention back to Kai, quickly moving back to him and grabbing his hand and pulling him into a hug. The other man continued to just stare at the icy mess of the kitchen before his legs felt like they had gone out, and he fell into his boyfriend, his shoulders shaking with sibs, all his balled up emotions, leaving in one go. Zane simply held him. After a minute, Zane helped Kai out of the kitchen silently just taking him to the bedroom helping him get out of his wet clothes. His tears were gone. He was just quiet as the nindroid got him into bed.
"I'll be back, I love you, Kai." He went to turn off the lights, stepping out of the room, but right before he shut the door he heard the slightest sounds.
"I love you too." A smile crossed the ninja's face as he shut the door, going back into the kitchen to find out how to fix this mess because what the fuck just happened?
