Girls Paradise: Discovering the Fruit I craved is actually forbidden.

Summary:

Rose had loved Nina and Mona a whole lot. So much she couldn't decide between them and married both of them. Nina and Mona were always fine with this arrangement, but secretly they also liked each other. Nina does what feels like the obvious thing and confesses her attraction to Mona, eventually leading to a small moment of passion before learning the reason Mona was so hesitant.... The two of them are secretly related.

A short story about our favorite thrupple with a unique complication.

Obviously CW for incestuous themes.

Notes:

This story began when I was drafting a Rose/Nina/Mona story and someone dropped the little factoid that Mona's father is Nina's Grandfather... This caused me a moment of pause, before I decided nah. Screw it. Writing it anyway!

Again, if these themes bother you please do not read. I can not emphasize enough.

Work Text:

"Huh??" Mona thought she misheard Nina for a second. What she said, couldn't be right. "You… have feelings for me?" The older woman looked away, her face was a fierce red. Nina couldn't help but smile.

"I do… I know we both promised to be there for Rose- but… I can't help how I feel about you too…" The two of them were very much in love with Rose and well… they had an arrangement. They had for the past 6 months worked mostly separately when it came to moments of intimacy. Nina never felt jealous, Rose was someone with a lot of energy and love. She was able to give time to both of them. But now, now Nina wondered if… she could close this gap some more. "I like you Mona… I have for a while."

Mona looked down and sighed. "Nina…." She looked away. "I… love you too… But there- we can't.. we-"

"Mona I know you see me as a little sister." Nina interrupted. She took her hands and held them in hers. The green haired young woman of about 21's eyes sparkled. "But you saw Rose the same way… what's different?"

Mona sighed, her hands gripped. Nina could feel her pulse practically from her palms. She knew Mona felt the same way as her. "Nina…." There was a moment where it looked like she wanted to say more. But she only smiled. "But…we can't… I… can't explain- maybe one day."

Nina's grip weakened. She looked down. "…Okay." She sighed. "But… tell me. Is it because you don't feel the same way? Or…?"

Mona had a weak smile on her face. "…Nina. I think.. I've loved you for a long long time. When you and I entered a relationship with Rose, I… was happy you were in my life. There's just.. other things."

"….Kiss me."

"Pardon??"

"Mona… I want one kiss." Nina said looking up. "I…already asked Rose if it was okay for us and she said she would be happy. Please. One kiss."

"You don't know what your asking-…" Mona bit her lip. "….One… One kiss…."

Nina couldn't help but smile. And the two girls leaned. Their lips met. It was soft, and a slightly wet kiss. Both women's lip gloss rubbing against each other. Nina loved the taste of Mona's… There was a soft moan, and soon Nina found hands around her.

The 'one' kiss turned into multiple. The two women just… lovingly kissing each other over and over again. Nina was in heaven. Oh her lips had a different taste then Roses, a different feeling. Not necessarily better but… she loved it all the same. The two kept the kiss going for several minutes, at some point their tongues were mixed into it. Mona holding Nina tightly before pulling away.

"I shouldn't have done that- oh my god I shouldn't have done that…"

"Hehehe." Nina had a zoned out look on her face. "W-we don't have to stop. Please- I-"

"We CAN'T do this… we just…. we just-" Mona felt like she was on the verge of tears.

"Why not?" Nina said, she started to look frustrated. "Just- tell me why. Why can't we-"

Mona let out a long sigh. Her hands were against her lap. "If you knew…. you'd… you'd never want anything to do with me. You'd want me gone… I… I can't Nina… I just can't… We can't…"

Nina reached and held her hand. She gripped it tight. "You really, really think I'd leave you for something like that?" She said with a small smile. "Come on. What is it? Is it that you use to call me your little sister? You know I'm not actually your sister….right?"

Mona turned her head.

"…Wait, I'm… not your…sister right?"

Mona's squeezed her own hand,biting her lip. "Nina… I… No… You're not my sister."

Nina let out a sigh of relief. "Phew. Don't scare me like that-"

"I'm your aunt…" Mona said, still facing down.

Nina blinked. "H-huh?"

"Your grandfather, is my father. I was never supposed to tell you this. If you ever knew, if I ever told anyone,I'd have been removed from the family. And… then we both fell in love with Rose… I…" Tears were dropping down her eyes. "And… I thought its fine we- we can keep things separate but… I never… I never once thought.."

Nina covered her mouth. She seemed shocked to be sure. There was silence, and Mona began to stand.

"I'm sorry Nina, I wish- we should never have-"

"Hold on…" Nina said, reaching and tugging at Mona's sleeve. She wasn't facing Mona at the moment, she bit her lip. "Just… let me… I need a moment Mona please. Don't leave…."

"I shouldn't have said anything. I'm sorry Nina…" Mona walked out of the room. Leaving Nina by herself. Nina bit her lip, and folded her arms into her. She just… she needed a little time to think.

"Giiiirls." Rose called out, still in her knight gear as she walked into her home. "I'm home!" She noticed there was no sound or smell of dinner being cooked. Not that it was something she pressured any of her wives to do, it's just Mona almost always did so without ever being asked. Rose did give Nina permission to romantically engage with Mona though, leading the blonde haired girl to have a small grin.

"Ooooh- I bet they're busy in the bedroom hehe-" She said with a smile. She really enjoyed the idea of her wives loving each other too. She loved them both to death but always felt selfish monopolizing them. Them being with each other would at least mean the power balance was equal. That is, the thought that went through Rose's mind. Up until she found a note on the kitchen table.

"Eh?" She picked it up. It was from Mona. Her flowery penmanship and sweet smell practically jumped off the page before any name did. A

'Dear Rose,

If you are reading this, then I need you to understand I have committed a great atrocity that can never be forgiven. I have not been truthful. There is an aspect of me and Nina's relationship that I never spoke out on, one that jeopardizes the very core of what we have. I do not think I can stay, so I have gone back home. When you see Nina, (or if Nina is reading this)… I am truly sorry. I don't ask to be forgiven. I understand we may never see each other. I'm sorry. I love you Rose. And Nina, I love you too… I'm sorry'

Rose had to put down the page. She blinked and put a hand on her mouth. "Mona…" She let out a sigh. No way in hell she was gonna let THIS come to pass. There was some problem with her lovers and she was gonna fix this. It didn't matter how, didn't matter what she had to do. First things first.

"NINA!" She cried out, walking through her house. Eventually finding their shared room. Nina was sitting, gazing at the floor. She seemed lost. "Nina There you are! Is everything okay?"

"H-huh?" Nina said, blushing bright. "Y-yeah… Everything… no… sorry It's not…."

"Nina, Mona left. Do you know why?"

"She left…." Nina said, covering her face. "Because of me…"

"Tell me what happened Nina. Please."

"I… don't know if I can. It feels wrong to spill her secrets." Nina said, rubbing her neck. "But- I don't think it would work between us."

"Hmmm…" Rose let out a sigh. "You two are making things tough and I won't accept that… She did something to make you hate her?"

"I… well.. No."

"Do you still like her?"

"There's something that came up… That makes that- kind of hard."

"Yes or no Nina, do you still like Mona."

"…I…" Nina blushed. "I do… I do like her but I don't think- I don't think she'd ever want to be in a relationship with me. And she's right. I'm so….disgusting. So gross for still wanting it even after… she told me."

Rose let out a long sigh. "And your not gonna tell me what that is…?"

Nina bit her lip. "I… I want to talk to her. Apologize if nothing else. I pushed this, and she felt pressured to return my feelings. I just, I need to talk to her. We can go back to the way we were and things would be fine!"

Rose smiled. "Okay, let's go work things out then yeah? How long ago did she leave?"

"I think… a few hours ago. I just, I've been thinking about stuff you know…?"

"When we find her I am gonna demand you two tell me what's going on."

"I don't know if you want to know…"

"….This isn't about Mona being transgender right?"

"No! That's fine obviously. She told me when we first became friends."

"Okay, just checking. She told me in private and I never knew if you knew. Not that it matters really, she's a girl."

"Obviously." Nina said with a smile. "No this is…something else. I'll tell you about it with her blessing, but we do need to get her back."

Rose smirked. "Then lets go. We're gonna go get our wife back!" She took Nina's hand, and ran off with her.

In a small cottage at the edge of the village, a lone woman with light brown hair and gray streaks was standing in her kitchen making some food. This woman's name is Lilia and she used to be a waitress with big dreams. Dreams that were taken advantage of by a certain lord. Almost 30 years ago now, the man offered her a relatively sizable amount of money for a single night of passion.

Well, if you can call it passion… That money sadly never went to her dreams to be a singer, instead they went to raising the daughter that came in response. When the years became hard and the money went thin, she was able to press Master Handel to take her daughter in as a house servant. There, she would eat better then she ever had in her life, and be offered her means to live her life. While her daughter visited from time to time, it was clear she was happy with her own life.

However, she still thought back several years ago… to a conversation she had with her. Her daughter had fallen in love with the Handel girl. She kept going on and on about how beautiful and sweet she was. It hurt Lilia to have to tell her the truth. The truth of her father and the fact that the girl she was crushing on was in fact her Niece. She didn't want her daughter to have any regrets. Had she learned about the affair on her own she likely would have resented Lilia. Though the conversation seemed to be a rather sore spot for her, as her visits slowed down… Which made her sitting at the table with her surprising. The woman poured her daughter a bowl of stew, noting defeated look.

"Okay…." Lilia said sitting down on the other end of the table. "You gonna tell me what sparked this visit?"

"…Do I need a reason to visit my own mother?" Mona said, looking away. She noticed besides soup her mom also poured her a glass of something else. "What is this?"

"Beer dear, have a drink and we'll get to the bottom of this." The woman said picking up her own glass. "Whenever I was stressed about something, I use to down a glass." She said with a smile. "Now, lets talk okay? Something happen at home? Last time you talked to me you apparently were sharing a wife with that one girl you used to have a crush on…"

Mona gripped her glass and looked away. "I… hm…"

Lilia sighed. "Come on relax I'm not gonna bite your head off. What did you do?"

"I ruined everything."

"Yeah? What? Kiss another girl besides your wife?" Lilia said, arms folded. "News flash, your wife is ALSO doing that-"

"No- well… sort of…." She pouted. "Nina had feelings for me."

"Ahhh…." Lilia sighed a little. "Does she now? Well. You probably should explain-"

"We kissed."

"…Look, a little peck isn't that big of a deal-"

"For 5 minutes straight."

"…."

"It was….Passionate."

"I get the hint." Lilia leaned into her hand. "Alright. Keep going what happened next?"

"I… felt absurdly guilty about it. She demanded to know what my problem is so… I told her."

"….Yeah- okay. That's a good way to make a mess of things your right."

Mona put her hands on her face. Lilia knew she needed to tread carefully about what she said next. The middle aged woman rubbed the back of her neck. "Alright. So. You kissed her and told her. Did she kick you out after?"

"No I left… I know I ruined everything there's no reason to stick around." Mona said looking down. "And… I know I'm not going to be welcome here either. I just wanted to tell you that I'm moving-"

"Park your seat. I'm not kicking you out. Goddess, your jumping this gun way too much."

"I… kissed my own niece. Deeply. I liked it. I'm a monster."

"Yeah your kind of gross. I won't lie. I'm not gonna kick you out for it. You're my daughter. I thought your arrangement was weird to begin with. Yeah this adds a bunch of extra problems with it but honestly its kind of gravy to the whole thing."

"Mom…" She pouted. "That's not the same thing at all."

"Probably not no. But my entire life you brought things to me that I struggled to understand. When you asked me if you could be a girl, it was a hard adjustment." She said holding her glass.

"I…still thank you mom." She said looking away. "I'm glad you never told anyone. And… I'm also always thankful you got me in touch with that one guy for… you know… My potions."

"You work diner work as long as I have you start knowing people." She smiled.

"But that's still also not the same thing, please…"

"Right right. Look. I'm always going to love you. If you come here with a dead body, I'll help you bury it. If you need money to leave the country I can see what I can arrange… And if you come and told me you just kissed your biological niece…" She thought for a moment. "Well. I can give you a place to stay until it all blows over okay? I love you Mona."

"…I love you too mom." She sighed happily. "Thank you."

"Does your wife know?"

"I'm sure… Nina is telling her all about how I practically assaulted her… I don't think she wants to see me."

"I somehow doubt that."

"Why? Mother intuition?"

"No I see her and that Niece of yours out the window approaching."

Mona jumped out of her seat. "O-oh. Oh no!" She said, her heart was beating. "W-why… why are they-"

"Probably because you married at least one of them?" Lilia once again leaned her face against her hand. "They probably love you and want to know if your okay."

There was a knock at the door. Mona froze. Lilia decided she'd best answer it and get things over with. She opened the door as casually as she could, staring at the two girls who just approached. "Well, hello girls."

Rose stood in front of Nina, she gave a small bow. "Hello. I uh- I don't know if you remember me."

"From my daughters wedding yes. You two were the brides." She said in a slight sardonic tone.

"R-right." Rose said a bit sheepish. Nina seemed a bit embarrassed to.

She looked back, she could see her daughter just, slowly shaking her head. Lilia sighed, "So what is it you two need?"

"Have you seen Mona…" Nina said, stepping up. "I…really really need to apologize to her."

Lilia groaned. Of course its something like that. Both of these girls thinking they wronged the other and both feeling a cycle of guilt. And before she could speak, a voice came from behind her.

"Nina…" Mona pushed besides Lilia, her face still stained from tears. "You have nothing to apologize for- I won't accept it."

"I do!" Nina said blushing. "Please, hear me out?"

Lilia sighed. "Why not take this to Mona's old room. I've kept it dusted over the years. I'm gonna go and get some more food. I barely had enough for one."

"Thank you, Miss Albercht… and uh." Rose said. She reached into her belt and put a small sack of gold coins in Lilia's hands. "This should cover the expenses… I hope."

The mother looked down and opened the bag. Her eyes practically became disks. "That uh- you sure this is okay?"

"I make good money."

"Yeah- okay. Sure. I'll be back with a whole roast chicken and… maybe a new dress." Lilia said that last part to herself, leaving the girls to their talk.

Mona didn't know what to say. She was sitting on her old childhood bed with Nina on one side and Rose on the other. The bed was a hand-me-down that someone was tossing, so thankfully it was plenty big for her.

"I… Does Rose know yet?"

"I am incredibly in the dark." Rose said with a bright smile. "I'll leave if you guys need to talk about this alone."

"No." Mona said reaching her hand out. "I think you do need to know."

"Yeah-" Nina agreed. "It's… well… A lot."

"Then I shall stay and hear you two out. I just want the two of my loves in my life."

The girls nodded, and Mona spoke first. "I've… loved Nina my entire life. She was such a positive person, and someone I loved doting and being close to." She could see Nina embarrassed. "And… I loved her… in more then just platonic ways."

"H-huh? Y-you did…?" Nina said, her face bright red.

"Ooh. My lovely angels love each other that's the best!" Rose cried out.

Nina and Mona however both looked away, Mona rubbing her arm. Nina was the one to speak out. "It turned out to be a little more complicated then that dear…"

"Yeah-" Mona said swallowing. "Because… I was told man years ago a very secret truth about… who my father was."

Rose tilted her head. "Oh?"

Nina nodded. "Yeah… uh… turns out. Her father… is my grandfather."

"….Oooooooh." Rose said giving her head a small turn.

"Yeah. Nina didn't know though, and she confessed and… I… I practically jumped at the chance."

"That is NOT what happened." Nina countered. "You were the one denying me! You told me over and over again that you weren't interested and I pushed you! I was the one that manipulated you into kissing me…"

"I wanted to kiss you… So bad…" Mona gripped the hem of her skirt. "And if I'm going to be honest, I still kind of…want to."

"Yeah… Well… So do I." Nina replied, causing Mona to look back up.

"Huh??"

"The kiss was amazing Mona. And the worst part, is that I felt very happy about it and want to do it again. It's just- it also feels wrong."

Mona couldn't bare to look at her, "I know. But I knew the whole time, and you didn't. No matter how amazing the kiss was. We can't. Rose I'm sorry. Please. Nina is innocent take her."

"No Rose, take Mona. I'm the gross one!" Both other girls grabbed Rose's shoulder. Her head was turned and not facing either of them so they assumed she was ashamed of them… When they actually did see her face, both girls had a very similar look of confusion.

Rose had an incredibly large smile, a huge blush and… her nose was bleeding??

"W-wow…" Rose said, wiping her face a little. "Haha… y-you two are… related? That's… Wow…"

"…"

"…"

"Can I…see the kiss?" Rose said sheepishly.

"I can't believe for a second any one of us thought we were the biggest perverts." Nina said with a sigh.

"Somehow she's made this weirder." Mona agreed with a slow head shake.

"I-I'm just being supportive!" Rose pouted. "I love you both and I don't want a little thing like this getting in the way."

"A… little thing like INCEST???" Mona cried out. "Rose, for goodness sake you are treating this like a very small problem. If I ever got Nina pregnant-"

"Then don't get her pregnant." Rose said with a shrug.

"…Are you sure your fine with this Rose?" Nina asked, putting a hand on Mona's back. "Like, this is incredibly weird."

"It's… well…" Rose seemed lost in thought. "It reminds me of when I was a teenager and I use to help the Princess and her brother out a lot. I use to see the two of them interact and be so sweet to each other and- sometimes my thoughts began to bubble and it made me think.. you know- That they would be cute-"

"I'm tapping out." Nina said. "Please don't tell us your fantasies about the royal siblings adult things with each other…"

"Okay okay- I'm just saying that uh- well." Rose had a small genuine smile. "This isn't something I mind okay?"

Nina and Mona both looked at each other, and then back to rose. "Okay." Mona said finally. "You not minding certainly is a useful factor but… Nina." She turned. "We can't be together. Your entire family knows we're related."

"….Oh Goddess." Nina said with a hand on her mouth. "My entire family knows but never saw the need to tell me. So- if we kissed… They would know we're relate but suspect I don't know??"

Mona was a little confused but suddenly understood, "…Yes, oh they would think its revolting and yet- they would never come out and say anything. My father would be forced to stay silent and pretend its not a problem." She couldn't help but smile. "Oh they' hate us, but have to keep up appearances!"

"Yeah!" Nina said, reaching for Mona's hand. "You just have to make sure your mom never tells anybody she told you."

"I think she'll honor that… I do… worry about her."

"Well she doesn't have to know right away." Rose said, "I'll go check if she's downstairs-" No sooner did she open the door, then did they find the woman in question just standing behind it. Rose jumped back in surprise and Nina and Mona both reached forward to catch her.

"Sorry!" Lilia said. "I came up to tell you girls foods down and uh- well. The door is pretty thin and I was catching the end of that. Didn't mean to eavesdrop."

"I…suppose your disappointed in me than mom…" Mona said hanging her head.

"I'm not gonna lie, this does really ick me out." Lilia said, arms folded. "But, I think its gonna ick out that old pervert even more…" She couldn't help but to grin. "Maybe even give him a heart attack."

"He might honestly like that." Nina said, it being well known her grandfather is being kept alive far passed what most people would have been.

"So see? Win win." Lilia said.

"Mom…" Mona walked up to her mother a hug. "I love you so much."

"I love you too Mona." Lilia said giving her a hug back. "I'll say it again, this relationship of yours is weird to me and part of me just..wishes you'd settle down with ONE person, preferably someone not related… but this is the path you choose, and if so. I'm not gonna ditch you no matter what okay?"

Mona let out a deep smile and just kept holding onto her mom. Next thing Lilia knew, another pair of hands wrapped around her, and then another. Lilia had 3 whole women surrounding her locking her into a hug.

"Thank you Miss Albercht." Rose said.

"Come on… your my daughter in law. And I guess, so are you." She said to Nina, giving both of them pats on the head.

Nina couldn't help but to smile. "Oh… this is so weird. I had to pray So much after you left Mona."

Mona nodded."I know, I prayed for forgiveness too."

Rose blinked. "A-ah?? You girls….did what?"

"Dear…" Wood said, sitting at the table with his wife Luca. "Why have you been laughing this whole time?"

"Oh- uh…" The goddess hears every prayer at every moment of the day. She's good at listening to all of them casually. But the news she just heard. "You wouldn't get it honey. It's fine."

"If you say so. Rose and her wives should be in town soon, do you think they sleep in separate beds or?"

"I think one will do." she said with a knowing smirk.

Rose sighed happily. Arriving back home and flopping into bed. "Alright- I'm glad we got all that squared away. And it was nice Seeing your mom Mona!"

"Thanks." Mona said sitting on the bed. Nina was sitting besides her.The two of them were holding hands. "I do love you Nina. And however this goes, know I'll always love you."

"….Same." Nina replied. The two of them leaned in and gave each other a kiss.

Rose couldn't help but grin. "You two are so cute… Mmm, I hope my mom is okay with this."

"Do your parents need to know..?" Mona asked with a blush.

"Well- My moms… good at sniffing things out. We'll hide this from dad though. For the time being."

"You keep implying your mom knows a ton of things Rose… your not keeping secrets from us now are you?" Nina asked squinting her eyes.

"M-me?" Rose said, scooting back in the bed. "Nope… I'm… a perfect angel." She said sticking her tongue out.

"…" Nina looked over at Mona. Mona looked over at Nina. The two of them very much agreed with a single smirk. Mona had always kept her intimacy and Nina's separate, for the obvious reasons… If there's no reason to do that…

"Girls what's with that look?" Rose said, her heart thumping in her chest as she saw her two wives crawling over to her. "G-girls!"

Rose would find herself pinned to the bed and suddenly a pair of lips peppering her face and neck. She giggled as clothes were discarded and the three lovely wives spent the rest of the night entangled in love making. The love of a taboo sort thrice over, each taboo more so than the last. The furthest possible from a normal relationship. And yet, to these girls, there wasn't any other relationship they would rather have.
