"Don't you dare." | Protective | Revenge | Collared.
Wemmbu really really hated the collar Lettuce put on him. I mean, who wouldn't? He isnt some fucking dog, to be kept on a leash.
It probably has a tracking device in it too, supposedly notifying Lettuce if he got to close to escaping. Probably also the reason why there were like 5 different teams of Lawmen chasing him down, too.
Maybe the water had fucked the electronics up a bit, hopefully it wasn't working anymore. But there was no way Lettuce would be that sloppy, let his prized prisoner escape just because of some water.
Once the adrenaline of the fight had passed, the collar started bothering him off again, not that it ever didn't bother him, it was just that Wemmbu had too much time to think. Jaden had saved him and Egg, despite everything Wemmbu's done to him. And Wemmbu really hated owing people.
Not that he could really say anything right now, using riptide tridents made him a bit disoriented and it was hard to talk while spinning in wide arcs through the air.

Now safely at Jaden's Pirate Civilization, Egg was looking over Wemmbu, assessing the various injuries he managed to acquire. Jaden gave them a room in his base, with large windows overlooking the civilization, and left to make them food.
Jaden returned shortly, carrying a tray with fish and rice and tea, as well as a first aid kit. Egg thanked him repeatedly, for giving them a safe and welcoming place to stay, Wemmbu begrudgingly admitting he was grateful. Jaden smiled, assuring that they could stay as long as they wanted, amd left, giving Wemmbu and Egg privacy.
Not long after, however, they could see the telltale signs of a fight happening, down below. death messages appeared in chat, it seemed the LAW had found them. Jaden and his pirates defeated them, most of the LAW consisted of random chungies who newly joined and were forced into joining.
"How did they find us?" Egg questioned, concerned. As much as he trusted Jaden, there was no telling what he would do if they were a threat to his civilization, Wemmbu thought.
"...The collar has a tracking device, probably." Wemmbu muttered, morose. It wasn't like Egg hadn't noticed it, there just wasn't really time to properly adress it. He'd been stupid not to realize though, of course Lettuce knew where they were.
Jaden returned to their room, looking how one would after a fight, tired and wounded. He sighed, silently grabbing the first aid kit and bandaging himself. Egg tried to help but Jaden waved him off, eating a golden apple.
"So," Wemmbu started, grimly, "Any idea how the get this thing off me?" He gestured with disgust toward the collar. The collar itself was made of a combination of nertherite and iron, enchantments-- probably mending and unbreaking-- shimmered across the surface. He had hoped that the water had stopped it from working and that it would fall off, but apparently no such luck.
Jaden retrieved lock picks from somewhere, and they began to pick apart the clasp at the back of the collar. It took a monumental amount of patience and restraint for Wemmbu to sit still, with two people poking about his neck, the most vulnerable spot possible. He wholeheartedly trusted Egg, and mostly Jaden too, but it was hard to ignore the instinct to protect himself anyway.
Eventually, the collar shattered, redstone dust filling the air. But the important thing was that the fucking collar was off.
