Coming to Nevermore had initiated as nothing more than a hurdle Wednesday was yet to get over in her path to success. She had already gone through 4 schools this year and 4 more the year before, yet somehow her grades never suffered. She was now starting her junior year with little interest in the people around her, given half of them seemed to lack half their brain. With all the pains being autistic brought her she's glad it blessed her with the ability to think circles around everyone around her (also often overthinking) she had long since left her peers behind intellectualy. This left plenty of time for her hobbies and as much as she appreciates her cello, her writing has always taken priority in much of her life and she believes that to be an accomplished author one must experience an exciting life.
After the loss of her beloved Nero, and subsequent expulsion from the ridiculous normie school that allowed such awful people to walk around unpunished, nothing seemed to drive Wednesday more than her favorite hobby. Specially after being separated from one of her first friends.
Tyler had come into her life after her return from summer camp where she had met Joel her first kiss. She had started her Freshman year on the wrong foot, her outcast nature and upbringing clearly forming a barrier between her and everyone else at the school. Her then naive nature had made her actually approachable given she had yet to gain the ruthless nature that came after Nero's passing, but even so no one around her seemed to want to actually do that. Except during one of her usually quiet lunches in her then normie school Tyler had approached her not knowing the difference that they would make in each other's lives.
He was the first person not to be put off by the macabre way she preferred being.
"I'm not used to people engaging with me, most people see me coming and cross the street" she had said
"You're not scary, you're just kinda kooky " she looked at him then and was surprised by the softness in his eyes that she thought were brown but soon found to be hazel which contrasted weirdly with his short military cut hair and braces.
They had bonded over being cast aside, her by her unpredictable peers due to her autism and him by his father after his mother's recent passing.
Though it had taken time for them to get to the point they shared that with each other the journey had certainly left its mark on Wednesday.
They had a short 6 months together as friends before Nero passed away and left her making one of the few impulsive decisions she had come to regret. She had avenged her beloved pet during school and subsequently gotten caught due to her emotional carelessness.
Accidentally losing a step and catching herself last minute she realized she had once again been lost in thought about the only person that seemed to understand her.
