Chapter 1:
Bakugo was waiting in the train station for his ride, he leaned against the wall looking at his phone. Yawning as he saw the same old boring news, south korea was a boring place, nothing much going on. While he was waiting a guy in a black suit and a case walked up to him, he looked up at the guy and started rubbing the end of his shirt slightly. The guy offered if katsuki could beat him in a game of ddakji he could win 100,000 won. “Seriously? That easily?" the guy in the suit nodded, and replied nicely. “Yup, that easily. So, are you ready for a match?”.
Bakugou nodded, they started playing but every single time he lost. He gritted his teeth and said one more time.. But that every single time he lost, soon the sun slowly went down and the moon started to rise. “Lets try tomorrow, and i forgot to ask.. Whats your name sir?" bakugo looked up at the man and replied quickly, “you can call be katsuki." the guy nodded. “Well katsuki, you can call me salesman.”
Bakugo gets a bit confused then nods. “Well salesman, see you tomorrow." bakugo sighed and realized the train already passed and started walking home. Once he got there he walked into his small house and sat down by the table. His mom walked in, “hey, did you get the groceries?" bakugo sighed, “no i didnt.. Im sorry." bakugos mom sighed. “I dont have work tomorrow so I'll go get them, you can go to work." bakugo nods and goes to his room, he lies down in his bed and soon he falls asleep.
At 5:30 am his alarm goes off at a loud buzz, bakugo groans and uses his wondering hand to look for the alarm, his finger clenches onto it and turns off the alarm. He sits up in his bed rubbing his eyes as he stretches his arms. He gets onto his knees then stands up and goes to the bathroom. He stares in the mirror for a second then turns the faucet on. The cold water pours down from the silver faucet as he cups his hands and washes his face with the cold water.
A shiver goes down his body as the freezing water touches his face, he grabs his toothbrush and puts toothpaste on it. He starts brushing his teeth as his eyes droop a bit, the blinding light shines down in the bathroom. After he brushes his teeth he spits out the toothpaste mixed with a slight brown, ew.. A slight string of saliva drips to his chin which he quickly wipes off.
He turns on the shower to a lukewarm before taking off his clothes, he gets into the shower and starts washing himself. After his shower he wraps a white stained towel and wraps it around his waist before walking to his room. He gets dressed into his work uniform and goes back to the bathroom and blowdrys his hair a bit before brushing his blonde spikes out. He looks at the clock and its already 6:25. He goes to the front door and puts his shoes on, he grabs his bag and heads out.
The walk to work was pretty cold, even though it was summer it wasnt that warm. He soonly gets to work and clocks in, his job was nothing special, just a fancy restaurant that he probably couldn't afford, but time to time his boss feeds him the leftovers and gives him a raise if he does flawlessly, which he does. He yawns and waits for a customer, the place wasnt only for dinner, they have a breakfast menu too. A short girl with black hair walks in, with her pet cat on a leash? Weird but who cares.
Bakugo sighs and looks at the woman, “sorry ma'am but we don't allow animals."
The lady picks up the small cat and nicely replies with."oh im sorry i know, but your boss.. I was.. “
Bakugo cuts her off,"if you know then please step out. “
The lady shyly looks down then back up at the blonde spiky haired boy.
“Can i.. Just see your boss real quick?. “
“My boss isnt here yet. So please put your cat outside and order or just leave with your cat. Im sure your cat is very well behaved but we dont allow animals in here unless they're service animals.. “
The lady slowly nods and smiles awkwardly. “Right, sorry for disrupting you.. I'll just wait outside." the lady turns around and starts walking to the exit before bakugo tells her to wait, the lady turns around. Wondering what he wants.
“Its pretty cold outside so if your gonna wait outside please take my jacket, once my boss gets here you can return it…"
The ladies eyes light up and grabs the jacket from bakugo politely. “Thank you sir, thats very kind." the lady puts on the jacket and sits outside on the bench. Once the boss got there he let the cat and lady come inside, which the lady gave the jacket back to katsuki and politely said her name, which was nabi. She was the bosses girlfriend and comes here often with her kitty. 30 minutes pass and customers start to fly in, bakugo starts to serve people as usual. After his shift he goes to the train station. To meet the salesman again, then again, he sees the guy sitting down. He goes over to the guy and greets him. They start playing ddakji again, try after try bakugo keeps losing.
The moon starts to rise again and the salesman waves goodbye to the blonde boy. While katsuki walks home in a alleyway he hears a loud scream.. He jumps at the sudden noise and jerks his head around, looking for where the sound came from. Then he looks up to see a kid on his balcony with a phone in his hand, giggling at the blondes fright. Bakugo gritts his teeth, pretty pissed off.
“Kid dont fucking do that! I thought someone was actually in trouble!!"
The kid giggles and responds with words that are muffled with his laughter. “I really got you! I really got you too jump! Hahaha!" katsukis eyes lower as his mouth groans. “Dont do that again kid." then he walks away sighing,
“Stupid kid, doing stupid fuckin tricks." he gets home and locks the door to see dinner premade on the kitchen table. He sees a note by his food that says, “hey katsuki, when you read this im probably already asleep. And dont wake me up im tired, but eat your food and try to get some sleep, k? Love- mom. “ he chuckles at the note, mumbling under his breath, “alright ma, i won't wake you up.” he quietly eats his food then washes his plate. He goes to his room and changes into something for comfortable. He lays down in his bed setting his alarm for tomorrow. He wakes up to see its 8:50 am. He bolts to his feet. “DAMN IT! WHAT HAPPENED TO MY ALARM!!" katsuki quickly puts his clothes on, brushes his teeth, and puts deodorant on. He grabs his bag and puts on his shoes and rushes out the door, forgetting to close it on his way. Then, once he gets to the cross way, he was waiting for the sign to give him permission to walk across the white striped road. Then, he sees a little girl run in the street. His eyes dart to the girl as a car appears behins her. He rushes to the road and grabs her in a flash, he hits the other sidewalk with a loud bang as his upper body hits the rail. The little girl begins crying, shaking the blonde boy to wake up.
Soon a crowd forms, some people help the two. A small blood puddle begins around katsuki. After an hour he wakes up in a hospital, seeing his mom by his side. Worried eyes and a shaking mouth. “KATSUKI! Y-youre a-AWAKE!..” a smile forms on her face while tears run down her face, she hugs katsuki tightly as katsuki stiffens at the sudden hug. A nurse taps his moms shoulder. “Ma'am, please let go of him, he needs to heal carefully.." she pulls away from the blonde boy and wipes her tears. “Im so glad you're awake.. I was so worried.."
Katsuki mutters a bit, he wants to get everything out but theres a huge lump in his throat. “I.. Hows the.. Kid..”
The nurse smiles under her mask, “shes doing fine, all thanks to you..”
Katsuki nods slowly, he tries to touch his face with his arm, but that sudden shift shakes a huge sharp pain in his chest, which he winces at.
The nurse looks down a bit, “and a couple bones in your ribcage are broken from impact.. And you tore a muscle in your back.. And also.. Your left leg is broken.. So you'll have to stay here until your back heals.. Which wont take long." katsukis eyes widen at the sudden news, “but.. But my job!”.
“Dont worry, your boss understands. You'll still keep your job."
Katsuki relaxes. Glad to know he'll keep his job. The night at the hospital was a bit eerie, the sudden beeps of the machines, the noise of small snoring of the other patients. He turns on the tv, putting on a random movie. He soon falls asleep to the noise, then. He wakes up to a nurse standing by his side.
“Good, youre awake.. While your awake, will you mind taking this medicine? Heres a bottle of water too.."
He groans a bit before standing up, he grabs the pill and puts it in his mouth while chugging the water.
“Nice, the pill will help your healing process, every morning you'll take one of these.
He nods before mumbling thank you, his voice is still very sore and quiet from the incident. The nurse walks out slowly closing the hospital door. He shifts a bit in the bed where it doesn't hurt.
He spent most of the day in the bed, he would sometimes go to the hospital kitchen and get some crackers or water. He didnt have much appetite, because he grew up in a house with barely any food, soon his stomach adjusted to that little of food. Sometimes the nurses and doctors worried for him, saying hes not eating much. Or that he has a eating disorder, but he didnt. He was just poor and will always be poor.
The moon slowly crept up into the sky, katsukis quiet mumbles in his sleep, and the crickets chirping. A nurse quietly walked into his room and putted his pill and bottle of water next on the counter. She quicky walked out and carefully shutted the door. The next morning katsuki woke up, he looked around to see the pill and water on the counter, he stretched out to the counter from the bed and grabbed the pill and the half-filled cup of water. He threw the pill in his mouth and drunk the water. He grabbed the remote on the side of him and putted a movie on, he layed back in the bed watching the random movie, nothing much else to do. Soon a nurse walked in with some food, it was just a sandwich and water. Nothing special,
“Hey, have this. Eating helps your healing process!"
Bakugo nods and takes the plate." thank you alot ma'am..” the nurse nods and walks out the room. He slowly eats the food, his stomach feels full at the first bite but he wants to heal faster, so he manages to eat all of it and throws the plate into the trash. His stomach starts to rumble with uncomfortableness. He clenches his stomach a bit and moans quietly as his stomach moves and twists.
Soon he gets discharged from the hospital, he goes back to his house and goes back to work as normal, and still playing that stupid game with that salesman. He still havent won yet..

Bakugo lazily rests his head on the counter, the day was long, work was long. 45 more minutes until the shifts over.. He groans and stands up straight as a customer comes in, nothing special. Just a single mother and her daughter. The mother orders tteokbokki and ramyeon for her daughter. He tells one of the chefs, and soon the food is done and he grabs the food and puts it on a big plate and walks over to the mother and kid. He hands them their plate and goes to the back, another waiter goes to take the other customers order. And he rushes to the back and tells the chef. Bakugo leans against the wall, daydreaming about money of course.
One of the waiters named Ochaco Uraraka taps Bakugos shoulder, he jumps a bit and looks over at Uraraka.
“Hey uh the food.."
He nods and goes over to the chefs, “yeah, right.."
He grabs the food and heads over to the other customer, handing them their sundubu Jjigae and kimchi with a side drink, which was sujeonggwa. Weird meal but okay.. Another waiter goes over to the customers, which they give the waiter the money for the meal. He goes to the back and puts the money in. After awhile katsuki clocks out. And heads to the train station. He sees the salesman and plays the game, and again, and again. After that day he gets the whole week off, which was weird because he never gets that much of a break, which he finds out the electricity has been acting up and won't turn on. And now they're working on it. The whole week he goes to the train station, and plays the game, again and again. And soon.. On sunday.. He.. Wins. He wins the 100,000 won.. He wins the MONEY.. hes finally RICH.!
