THEMES AND PLOT DEVICES
CROSSOVER
This book is primarily based on a crossover between Modao Zushi [MDZS] and Tian Guan Ci Fu [TGCF] by author Mo Xiang Tong Xiu [MXTX]. This theme will run throughout the work and is the basis of it. Everything is built around both systems, primarily by MDZS.
DEVOTION AND DIVINITY
Devotion is the tether of existence here. One moment, it makes a person desperate, and the other, it anchors them. Whereas Divinity is the goal. A goal that would define lives and destroy them, only to rebuild them again. Everything here falls back to them, even you.
GODS AND IMMORTALS
Immortality here feels like a shackle and Godhood, a curse. A life long enough to breathe will leave footprints of blood. A Godhood worth worshipping would need to beg.
JOY AND GRIEF
Every joy would feel earned while every grief, unnamed. When has there been a name for grief?
What even is a joy unearned, and what even is a grief hollowing?
LIFE AND DEATH
The inevitability of living is life and death. Different faces of the same coin, but at which point does living become harder than death?
REBIRTH AND RESSURRECTION
A death faced, is not a life ended. Not when the world will not let you go. A cycle never interpreted, and wholly unturned. A call, and a desire. I wonder what it took to defy the inevitable.
LOVE AND ROMANCE
Love is the language of humans, and romance is the act upon it. When love stands in front of fate itself, how much blood will destiny drink?
SACRIFICE AND LONGING
This work contains sacrifices that may ruin you, but will certainly build you again. The longing here would leave you hollow to the bones. But when longing starts to turn into the world, sacrifice is wanted.
FLUFF AND DRAMA
Life without fluff is nothing, and drama just fuels it. It is to be expected that some characters are meant to turn into drama incarnate. And I live for it. Certainly, you too.
