Chapter Text
Wifie's head thudded softly against the bus window as his vision started clearing up. Oh, he fell asleep on the bus again. Whatever, who cares?...But god, what is that soft, soothing voice? He blinked once, twice, and finally saw it: a boy, a brown-haired, brown-eyed boy with green and blue wings around his hair and back. They looked soft...whatever, probably just another new kid.
"Um…E-Excuse me, is this seat taken?"
"No," Wifies said bluntly. Usually he'd say yeah and put his bag there, but at this point…why even care anymore? Besides, maybe it'd be nice to make new friends… yeah, who's he kidding? His only friends are Wato and Kenadian, and he had to try so hard to even build up the courage to speak to them. Whatever, he could at least try…just this once. The boy didn't look particularly stupid or mean.
"I'm Parrot. I'm new here. What's your name?"
He said timidly..there!, again with that intoxicatingly soothing tone god his voice was obnoxious, not in a bad way of course but it was incredibly hard to ignore despite being so quiet. Wifies shoved his AirPods in his ears.
"I'm Wifies. Call me whatever you want."
Parrot nodded softly; it looked more so to himself than anything. The rest of the bus ride was peaceful and quiet, finally, Wifies thought to himself…though it would be nice if Parrot spoke. Wifies liked his voice, which was strange since he usually always wanted people to just shut up.

Parrot hopped off the bus.
"Thank you."
Parrot said firmly...well, he thought firmly, but it sounded more like a mouse speaking. The bus driver gave him a slight nod. Wifies just started walking...well, until he heard rapidly hurrying footsteps behind him, of course. He turned around and slammed right into Parrot running straight at him; they headbutted as he stumbled back a few steps.
"Watch where you're going, bunny."
"Bunny?" Parrot questioned carefully.
"Yeah, bunny, you hop like...a lot."
He flicked Parrot's already sore head…what a jerk. An absolute jerk. Parrot clutched his forehead, wincing in pain. Wifies snickered but quickly checked if Parrot was okay…he seemed fine.
"Come on, you want a tour or what?"
"I thought…the student council president gives tours?"
"I AM the student council president, dummy."
Wifies teased playfully, earning a pout from Parrot; he chuckled at that.
"I thought the president was supposed to be nice…"
"Who told you that?"
"I don't know…I was assuming."
"Yeah, I thought so."
Wifies continued walking, expecting Parrot to walk behind, but as he looked over his shoulder, Parrot was like a whole 15 feet behind. What a slowpoke Wifies thought to himself as he waited for Parrot to catch up.
"Slowpoke," he teased.
"You're just walking too fast," Parrot whined.
Cute, Wifies thought to himself. Parrot was cute. He continued walking, this time slowing down his pace so the Parrot could catch up.
Here they were, finally at the principal's office...well, in front of the principal's office at least.
