Power Joe had been begging for it for weeks. He could be very persistent when he wanted to be, and perhaps Shadowmaru should have expected it; he was nothing if not a team player. That didn’t make it any less irritating, though. (Shadowmaru had her own agenda to worry about.)“‘Maru,” he whined into her neck. They were close enough that his ventilations were hot against her mesh, and she could sense the faint reverberation of his throat working as it struggled to swallow. “Please? Won’t you give me a chance? I’ve been practicing…”
This momentarily distracted Shadowmaru from her original objective of crowding Power Joe into the training mat.
“Practicing? On whom?” Shadowmaru’s engine revved, before she deemed the prospect unlikely. She narrowed her optics. “Or perhaps the better question is on what? Don’t tell me you’ve been tonguing fuse boxes.”
