The frantic knocking on the door woke Bob up, he slowly got out of bed trying not to wake his wife Helen.
he walked down the hall his walk slowed due to his sleepiness.
the knocking only grew more frantic as he reached the door.
Bob almost yanked the door off its hinges forgetting his own strength, he saw two mean in helmets with government looking symbols of their uniform the stepped back and agent dicker walked up the steps smiling fondly.
”what’s going on dicker” Bob said with a cautious chuckle.
dicker just stepped forward handing Bob an envelope. Bob took it nervously, he opened it all it said inside was supers meeting and a date 3 days till then.
Bob looked up dumbfounded, dicker had a warm smile on his Face, “welcome back Bob” he said proudly.
”when… did we become legal again?” Bob queried dropping his arms to his side.
”it’s been going on behind the scenes for a year now, you can thank Simon on the 27th for its success personally” dicker said turning to leave.
Bob just stood in shock a wide smile slowly creeped onto his face as he watched dicker give a polite nod farewell as he stepped back into a limousine.
Bob had to sit down for a second processing what had just happened, the rising suns shine finally snapping him out of his day dreams, he jumped up slamming the door (most definitely cracking the wood and squashing the knob) he ran back to his bedroom practically knocking down the door,
”Helen wake up” he shouted overjoyed.
his wife, Helen sat up quickly her hair sticking out in all places.
”look” Bob thrusted the letter in her face, she grabbed it reading quickly.
”wait what’s going on Bob?” She said looking lost, Bob was currently pacing the room looking rabid.
”it was insane, dicker was at the door and he said the bans being lifted, we all be back and it’s on the 27th, and guess what Simon was the who got it banned and!” Bob was cut off from his rant, as Helen stretched an arm out covering his mouth, she shook her head.
”okay what was that?”
violet woke up to the sound of arguing, she sighed it had become far more common in her house recently, she sat up grabbing a jumper and opening her door, no matter the fight she wanted water. Until her little brother grabbed her back.
”what is it” violet hissed.
”this isn’t an ordinary argument, we should listen in” he said smiling and creeping to behind the couch which connected to the kitchen.
violet felt confused before she gave in making her head invisible and sneaking behind the couch joining her brother.
“How could you do this to them!” Her dad motioned angrily.
”first of all I know you mean, how could I do this to you, and secondly I’m trying to keep them safe” her mother seethed.
”this could be our only opportunity to..”
“to what put everyone in danger, to put the kids in danger!”
“they would actually get to be themselves for once they wouldn’t have to hide” Bob threw his arms up.
”they’ve been fine without it there whole lives!”
”no they haven’t they could be so much more, and they, we have all been dying to use our powers, I’m just asking to here them out.” Bob ranted.
”our powers?” Dash said standing up breaking their cover, he zipped over to the counter grabbing the letter.
”dash NO!” Both parents shouted, mum stretched to grab the letter as Bob pulled dash back, he chucked the letter to Violet.
she revealed herself grabbing it and reading it before her mum could snap it out her hand.
she gasped “a superhero meeting” she looked up in amazement.
”what!” Dash shouted going over to look at the letter.
Helen just put her hand to her face dragging it down as she sighed. Bob looked extremely sheepish glancing at the pissed of Helen.
”it doesn’t matter, we won’t go” she said snatching the letter out of violets hand.
all three of them protested.
”mum this would be great for us” Violet said.
”yeah, I could be a hero” dash said pumping the air and running in a circle.
Bob looked overjoyed at his kids reactions, Helen however looked worried taking both the kids hands.
”look I know this my seem exciting, but it could put us all back in mortal danger” she looked at the both with tears in her eyes.
”but when could we ever get this opportunity again” Violet said quietly.
”look honey I’m just saying to at least she what the meetings about” Bob said stepping forward, placing around them all.
“Fine” Helen said defeated standing up to check on Jack-jack.
Bob pumped the air, dash ran a victory lap around the house, and Violet smiled nervously.
3 days later.
the parr family drove along the coast in a car with Lucius beside Bob, there was an air of nervous excitement in the car, dash was practically jumping out his seat. Helen was in the back with them.
“You guys really didn’t need to give me a lift” Lucius joked leaning back.
”it’s no problem it’s amazing honey let you go” Helen joked back.
Lucius had a nervous chuckle over honeys name mentioned. It had been quite the convincing to let him go.
”ugh I wonder how everyone gonna be” Bob said drumming on the steering wheel.
”who’s gonna be their?” Violet asked
”well I’d assume everyone, there’s gazerbeam also known as Simon I think you’ll like him vi” Bob said Turing and smiling.
”there’s also apogee, blazestone, plasmabolt, stratogail, stormocide, physcwave and macroburst” Helen listed off her friends the female supers plus macroburst.
”don’t forget Jackson/gamma Jack, everseer, phalange, downburst, thunderhead, universal man, hypershock and fironic” lucious listed.
”WE’RE HERE” dash shouted slamming his face to the window looking at the large government building ahead of them its glass panels shined looking as inviting and imposing as the mood called for.
they parked easily being quite early for the meeting, and headed in, dash continued to run back and forth between them and the front doors.
the guards let them through as they walked through the building it’s massive lobby even had two waterfalls, the parr’s and Lucius walked through and where directed to an assemble hall.
“Bob, Helen, Lucius” a voice called behind them they turned to see Simon paladino walking to catch up with them.
