Notes:

Hello, this is my first ever fanfic.
This fic story has been in my mind for awhile and finally I thought about bringing it to life.
I'm a total amateur writer with tons of reading experience atleast.
First of all, English is not my first language so if there's any grammatical mistakes, please ignore those. I will try my best to make this fic as beautiful as it is in my head.
Again, this will be my first time writing so bear with me
Lastly any recommendations to improve or to add some new ideas are appreciated.
Thank you!

Chapter 1: Routine

Chapter Text

The alarm ranged as usual. Dekisugi woke up. His room was neat and clean for a ten year old. From his bed sheets to his shelves, especially his study table was laid with much books for his grade, "Extra knowledge." his father says . He always brings him such books for any occasion; his impression was that it will help him in the long run but he was quite accomplished..wasn't he?

He had the top grades for his class. He was also quite good looking. Silky smooth dark hair that's neatly combed, his clothes were freshly washed and ironed and it smelled of fresh autumn dry leaves.

He strolled down for his breakfast. He was already ready for his school. His mother called from the kitchen,"Dekisugi, get down. Breakfast is ready!".
"I'm coming down!" He hurried up to the kitchen.
They were already at the table. His parents. His father sat at his chair, waiting for their son to come. Mother was serving food on their plates. Dekisugi sat down across his father.

His father, Yukimitsu Hidetoshi, a very organised person, dark eyes with a hint of hazy brown. His speech was well mannered, never had Dekisugi heard him raise his voice. He had that calm and emotionally restrained face. He was an well accomplished researcher, mainly in the development of medical technologies. He valued excellence and discipline from his near perfect son.

His mother, Kanata Hidetoshi, was also socially refined and a quite perfectionist herself. She had dark waist length hair, long eyelashes that suited her pale complexion, she also had a graceful posture. She was a lecturer by profession at an reputed university. It kept her constantly busy, from being close to her son too. But she never raised her hand on him. She expected perfection, top grades from her son and no less than it.

Their breakfast completed in silence, as usual, none were too much of a speaker they talked if it was necessary.
As they finished their breakfast his father called out,"I will be away for a while. I have a project that will keep me busy for a bit." He continued as he stood up from his chair, wiping his mouth, "So, I think it may take a week at best. I won't be home for a while then."
It wasn't unusual. His mother nodded, " Well I myself have some private lectures to give so I think I will be late today and the follow up days too."
His mother completed waiting from an answer from her son.
"Alright, mom.", He said.
" Don't worry, food will be at the fridge as always just make sure to heat it up.", She completed and stood up too putting the dishes in the sink.
His father left with no word to him. Well he was indeed busy.
He paced up to his room to get his bag. It wasn't unusual, his parents were quite busy as always. Money was provided for any difficulties faced.

He left for school. It was comparatively near to his house so he walked to school. Dekisugi entered the classroom. It was clean no doubt., The sunlight was reflecting through the windows making the chalk dust visible. It smelled of fresh leaves that was carried by the gentle breeze from the open window. Dekisugi strolled and sat down on his respective seat and took out his books. He was going to review the notes from yesterday.

•••
It was past ten minutes since the class started. Nobita Nobi, rushed into the class with a piece of bread in his mouth. His short dark raven hair was stuck out in some places. His big round glasses nearly slipping from his face. He seemed to be slightly sleepy on how he entered, as though he rushed from his home as soon as he woke up. His clothes were wrinkled in some areas, his backpack falling but balanced at his elbow.
"Nobita! You're late again today! What's your excuse now?!", The teacher barked out. It wasn't something new, Nobita was always late to the class. It was once a blue moon that Dekisugi saw him before the class stared.
"I'm sorry! I slept! My alarm didn't rang up? Or I shut it..." Nobita answers truthfully.
Each person in the class started to laugh, most blunt laugh could be heard by Takeshi and Honekawa. Girls were giggling silently, trying not to be rude. Dekisugi didn't felt like it was an laughing situation, he was focused on Nobita.
"I'm warning you, you kept getting late to class." The teacher signed. " Go ahead and sit down, we are starting the class." The teacher commanded.
"Yes sir!", His eyes widen as though he expected to be stood out of the class.
Nobita went and sat down on his seat near the window. His raven hair was displacing a brown colour under the sunlight. The teacher started the class. Dekisugi could hear his neighbours whispering about how clumsy Nobita is. And well that's true he's an idiot.

•••

Classes were finished. Low giggles and conversations could be hear near the corridors. The classroom was flowing in a shade of light orange. It felt like autumn. The low breezes could be felt. Dekisugi noticed Nobita was taking with Takeshi, Honekawa and Shizuka Minamoto. For a second Nobita caught sight of dekisugi's eyes lingering on him. Their eyes met for a split second but Nobita broke that contact as though it wasn't something unusual. Dekisugi stood at the entrance of the classroom. He never understood how is Nobita, a clumsy and an idiotic person could be getting so much love and attention fron his friends. He was the defination of imperfect, improper but he was surely surrounded by friends he blindly trusted especially Shizuka.. well he needed to go anyway now. He had cram school to attend to.

•••

It was late nearly past 10 pm. Dekisugi entered the house. It was silent as expected, his parents weren't home. Food's in the fridge, his mother said. He went and washed himself up. The drops of water could be echoed in the empty house. He heated up the food and ate. He had no appetite for anything but it's better to sleep after eating something. He entered his room, clean. Not a single thing has been misplaced. The moon's soft glow could be seen on the floor along with the shadows of the tall trees. It was a calm and soothing atmosphere. He took out his homework given respectively by the school and cram school teacher. Nothing was unusual, it was a routine. As always.
