Long ago, there were only stars, god-like entities with urges to create. They created many things. Planets, moons, other celestial bodies, and people. It was a beautiful time but it was also chaos. Stars kept creating, and creating, and creating until it was too cramped for everyone. So, to fix this problem, the stars picked out the eight strongest stars of them all. Helios, Sirius, Canopus, Centauri, Arcturus, Vega, Capella, and Rigel. Together, they became,
THE RADIANT.
The Radiant destroyed the works that were deemed useless and left the others that were deemed useful. Half were disheartened by the sight of their creations being destroyed but accepted that it was for the best, while the other half were outraged and fought with The Radiant for three centuries. Of course, they failed and surrendered to The Radiant. Since then, the universe was more peaceful and less crowded.
Nobody likes a story like that.
A story where the titular protagonists do not appear? How deceitful!
