Work Text:

Dojo let out a vicious sneeze as he landed on the ground. Clay was grateful for the years spent riding a horse, which kept his grip from wavering and sending him flying off before the dragon shrank back to his smaller size—moving to claim Omi’s shoulder for himself. Taking the first closest monk he could see. Sniffling and rubbing at his eyes, which just continued to fill with tears. Dojo might as well be lacking sight; the flyover had been pretty choppy thanks to another bad reaction from an active Wu. Making it so all Dojo could really gather was that the Wu was somewhere nearby. Raimundo decided it was best to split the group to cover more ground. The sooner they found it, the better. Just to make use of their numbers over Jack, who they knew would be on his way if not already near, looking around with Wuya. And, with Dojo’s condition, they couldn’t count on the dragon giving them an edge.

Clay gave a simple nod of his head before taking in the current location they found themselves in. Mostly grassy rolling hills for miles, and some rocky tunnels.

“I’ll take the cave up yonder.” He pointedly stated before heading through the grass, thinking he might have the best luck in a place like that. A cave had a lot more options on where to stash something you didn’t want others to just find by chance, after all. The rest of the team followed and called out where they would take their own searches. Kimiko decided to hit the hills, the tall grass seemed like it could make for a good terrain to check out, Raimundo offered to join since it made the area h easier. Though Clay had a bit of an idea, it was more to stay in Kimiko’s company. Clay understood that desire all too well. Part of him even hoped he might get the chance as he heard Omi tell the others he would check out by the river. Mostly at Dojo’s request, hoping the water might be useful to either wash off his face for some relief. Or just drinking some to thin out the ever-growing mucus. Something that got a shared ‘ew’ out of everyone.

They took off in their own directions. Planning to look for a few hours before meeting back where they landed. Omi even offered a challenge on who would find it first, Raimundo being the first to accept it, while Clay accepted it himself.

It would be a more satisfying win if he did it under everyone’s noses. Even if his stride picked up suddenly.

Overhead, a good few miles away, though the hum of hovering blades from Jack’s backjet went unheard as Jack peered through his binoculars. Watching the group as they started to split apart, but only really keeping track of Clay’s movement once they had all broken away from their landing spot. Veering his sights, Jack was trying to guess what Clay was heading towards. Spotting a cave in the distance, he took a guess that had to be where the cowboy was going.

“Gotcha,” Jack said, chuckling to himself as he lowered the binoculars, keeping his gaze aimed in the direction he had last spotted the cowboy. Nothing but a distant dot, without the help of the binoculars to help him see Clay more clearly at the time.

Only for his sight to be blocked by Wuya's sudden appearance before him. “JACK!”

Jack startled and shrieked as he clutched his chest, feeling his heart start to race at a rate that felt like it could be a thousand miles a minute. The initial shock faded as Jack’s face twisted and scarlet eyes fixed on the ghastly witch before him. It was always such an uncomfortable sensation. When Wuya just phased right through him, he could ‘feel’ her do it. Like a chill down the spine and a rush of cold, worse, he could feel the ends of her tendrils ghost across his organs and more. Like a tickle or a scratch going across his liver. Like an invisible force was grabbing onto his innards. Even sometimes scraping across his heart. “Would you STOP doing that!” Jack squealed out, making sure his discomfort came through on every word.

Wuya didn’t care; her face was emotionless, almost bored even. If Jack didn’t know her, he would buy it, but he was all too aware that she did, in fact, get some sick enjoyment out of messing with him like that. Ignoring his shrillness, she instead made mention that the Wu was close.

Jack half-tuned her out; her grating voice scratched at his ears, like nails on a chalkboard, as he looked back towards the cave. He was sure he could cut Clay off at. Rolling his eyes, knowing she was already on his case for being incompetent or whatever, she was already ready to start nagging him about it. Only to praise Katnappe, who was off to the side, enjoying the show.

“Then why not go with her? I don't need help. I'm Jack Spicer, evil genius. I got my own tracker anyway, and litter box breath there can use all the help she can get, I bet.”

Jack puffed out his chest as he displayed said tracking pad to Wuya, watching her face sour at the mention, but she seemed to agree. Ego bruised with the reminder she wasn't the only way to track down Wu. Jack smiled, though watching the pair head off before he departed himself.

Tucking his tracking pad away once he was far enough from Wuya and Katnappe. Wu wasn't his target today.

As Clay made his way through the cave, the only sound he could hear was the echo of his boots against rocky ground and the faint splash from water droplets. It was like no life existed in the cave. Something about it just unsettled even Clay’s rock-solid nerves. It was jarring, or maybe Clay was just used to all the noise that came from being around his friends all the time. All that came to a halt. The moment Clay heard a faint buzzing sound, the cowboy himself came to a full stop. Standing still as he tried to understand what it was and, more so, where it was coming from.

Clay’s whole focus was tuned towards that sound, like he knew what it was. Something metallic? A hovering sound, he should know it. The way the sound bounced around the cave walls made it seem it was closer than it was. Clay was thankful for his elemental connection, which made narrowing the source of the sound far easier.

Clay just bit back on his teeth, annoyed because he knew something was here, or someone. Clay huffed a stream of hot air from his nose before he blew it out, using the air from his mouth to push up his bangs for a better look around. Clay could just feel eyes on him; it didn't take long to spot a flash of bright red. A shade he only ever associated with one person.

Swallowing past the beating of his fluttering heart, he gritted his teeth and crouched with a soft bend at the knees.

“Nice try, Spicer!” He claimed that as he stomped into the dirt, grounding himself the following second, he saw Jack come around the corner smiling as if all was going according to their plan. Clay was always one to charge right in. Because to the Texan, it was the best way to handle a problem after all was to tackle it head-on.

And in Clay’s cause? He meant that literally.

As Clay used the force of his lung to send himself flying towards Jack, letting him collide right into the self-titled evil genius. The contact was more than enough to knock Jack clear off his feet. Jack’s back slammed into the dirt, mouth parting on the impact as the air was forced out of him with an audible ‘oof’ being the only reaction the buy genius could give as he needed the next few seconds to recover from being on the receiving end of all of Clay’s weight being thrown right into him.

“Fucking hell, Clay.” Jack idly complains as he tries to ride out the slight sting to the back of his skull.

“Alright, Jack, where's the Wu at?” Clay demands planting his hands to the ground to cage Jack in. They had no chance of getting away from him now. It did nothing to settle Clay’s heart rate; if anything, the choice just made it spike.

Which was exactly what Jack wanted.

Jack opened an eye and smirked before reaching up, taking hold of Clay's face, and taking advantage of the situation. Clay had no time to make a move before he found himself being tugged down towards Jack. It happened so suddenly that Clay had no clue it happened till his mouth met Jack’s. The sensation of Jack’s lips against his own had Clay’s eyes widen. Suddenly, his hands dug into the dirt, giving him the leverage he needed to lift and break away as he yanked his head back like the contact had burned his skin. In truth, it was all he could get himself to do without melting against the sensation of Jack’s mouth pressed against his own.

“Jack, are ya nuts what about-”

“Chill, babe,” Jack swiftly interrupted with, “I gave the hag the slip the second I saw you head this way. We're all alone.” Jack points out as he shifts his weight, propping himself on one elbow to free a hand so he could rub at the back of his head. “Though I feel you could ease up a bit on the tackles. Gonna end up with a bump as big as that cheese ball Omi’s head if you keep that up. And ya know? If it ain't from hitting a headboard, it’s just not worth the pain.”

“Sorry,” Clay offered with an apologetic smile, “ ‘am not the best with the whole datin’ our enemy in secret thing is all. Speakin’, which ain't this kind of risky, Jack? I coulda been with my friends. Or Wuya could just pop up suddenly? Darn Dojo coulda been hunkerin’ down under my hat even.”

Jack shrugged as he let his fingers find their way into the thick blond hair that covered the back of Clay’s neck. Enjoying the feel of the light blonde strands moving between his fingers. Clay felt a faint shiver race down his spine from the all too familiar motion, a sensation Clay had grown to love, but one of them had to use their head; his heart had to stay out of the moment. Clay only gave a faint huff of air to try to get Jack back to the topic. Though if Jack was worried about the risk, then he sure wasn’t showing it at this moment as he instead made himself comfortable under Clay’s weight, letting his legs get in a better recline so they weren’t straining against Clay’s weight. As arms slipped around Clay’s neck, tugging them down just enough to gently bite Clay’s bottom lip. The faint moan that was given in turn was short-lived as Clay spoke against the so-called evil bad boy’s lips. Only by voice could Clay seem to show any resistance since his body seemed happy to throw out the resolve if it meant even a second of affection from Jack.

“Jack.” A simple demand in their name alone. Clay was a man of few words, but those few words were all he ever needed to get his point across. Even if it was just openly ignored. Clay figured it would be, though he wanted Jack to do anything but. As he breathed in the smell of metal and wires coming from Jack, they must have been busy tinkering with something before the Wu became active. One Jack, the smell was almost alluring to Clay, settling onto his elbows. His heart and mind were at war, but his heart seemed to take control over his body. Soaking in the warmth of the body under him, ready to just drop the hold on his neck to let his face burrow into Jack’s neck. But it seems his argument was sound. Before he could even show, he was just going to give in.

Jack gave a roll of his eyes and a shrug of his shoulder before letting his arms drop from around Clay’s neck, letting them fall to the ground as he gave out a huff of his own. Clearly, setting a mood wasn’t going to happen here, and any hope it would be enough to distract Clay. Clay had a point for sure, but Jack’s point should matter more, he felt. That he wanted to make out with Clay’s dumb face.

Clay was way too stubborn at times. As stubborn as handsome, if anything, Jack did have to say, after all, those strong looks are what kept Jack so fixated on them after all.

“Well, maybe if I got to see you more, I wouldn’t feel the need to take a risk just to get some time alone with my boyfriend. My supposed boyfriend, I should say.” Jack spat out. Long has given up on using any of his charm. It seemed like it wasn’t affecting Clay today. Far as he was aware, that was. Jack wasn’t sure which hurt more, but the fact that he wasn’t charming enough seemed to be the real pisser in the moment. Accepting his defeat, he didn't even care to leave and go for the Wu just to be petty.

Clay felt a ping of guilt at that, as he looked down at Jack, seeing the hurt they were hiding behind the wording there. It had been some time since they had seen each other. Clay just hadn’t had a chance to sneak away to see Jack. Between all the training Master Fung had them busy with, honing their elemental skills. Trying out team building as well. Sneaking away just hadn’t been possible.

Clay shouldn’t have been so harsh.

“I missed y’all an awful lot, too.” Clay started hoping it would be enough to express his own longing.

”Pfft, yeah sure.” The self-pity was strong in Jack's tone as he kept his attention fixed on anything that wasn’t Clay.

Jack was in one of those moods, it seemed. Fine Clay had learned a few tricks that worked well on him. Clay softly told them sorry once again as he lowered his head and pressed a kiss to the corner of Jack’s frown.

Jack didn’t offer much in terms of reaction, short of a twitch of his mouth. Well, that was fair. He wasn't all too welcoming when all Jack wanted was to see him. That did make a warmth bloom in Clay’s chest, Mister Evil Genius here risking losing out on a Wu. Heck, even Wuya is getting after him for another missed chance, all because he missed seeing Clay that much. Now Clay felt lower than a snake on their belly. Clay missed him just as much. It wasn’t one-sided. Every day, every day, training ran long, he felt his motions grow sluggish because he knew he wouldn’t get a second with Jack once they finished for the day. Just a text to tell them they wouldn’t make it. That wasn’t even close to being able to pretend it was fine. Clay wanted to see Jack just as much, just be with them.

“Jack Darlin’, I'm really sorry for makin’ ya feel all sore just now.” Clay lay in thick as he pressed another warm, lingering kiss to the corner of Jack's mouth.

Jack really wants to just give in, so Jack could just throw his arms around Clay again and press his body up against Clay’s own. Enjoy how warm and hard their form was against his own, how curves seemed to slot in perfectly together. Jack had to bite his tongue to draw a bit of blood just to stop his imagination from getting the better of him. As he jerked his head away from Clay, turning his head to the side to take his mouth out of the monk’s pathway. It would have been easier to stick to his guns without the temptation being so close after all.

Of course, now Jack was the one acting as the roadblock. A taste of Clay’s own bitter medicine left an awful aftertaste. Now he could better understand Jack’s side of things.

“No, no, you’re right, we should get back to looking for Wu, you clearly don’t have time for me after all,” Jack said, allowing the clear signs of manipulation to come out clear as he spoke, though Clay could pick up on the undertone of hurt present in the wording there. “I’ll just whip out my tracker pad, and we can race to see who gets there first. Have a showdown and be done with it, back to our own thing. At least during a showdown, I’ll get to see my boyfriend.” Jack snied a bit before letting red eyes flicker over to look at Clay. “Or is that maybe not the case anymore?”

The look in Jack’s eyes was enough to pin Clay in place as he blinked behind his bangs. “What of course not!” Clay answered in panic, loud and clear, in the moment he clocked on to what Jack was trying to insinuate just now.

Jack's lips pursed into a pout as he looked away, crossing his arms over his chest, clearly getting the pity party all ready to go. “Yeah..sure, whatever. Get off me so we can go different ways, don’t want anyone getting the wrong idea after all.”

Clay quirked his mouth at that. He felt his heart get heavy from how Jack sounded just now. Clay knew it had been some time since they had been able to see each other, after all, with all his current training going on. Sometimes being a monk just took a lot of personal time away from him. Clay couldn’t recall the last time he made sure to check in on his folks on top of it all. Guess he had been neglecting Jack an awful lot lately. No wonder they were so well hurt.

Though Clay felt it was justified overall. But Jack was also giving Clay a hard time now. Clay just offered a faint smile.

“Jack,” he said softly, warmly as he lowered himself down, letting his forehead rest against Jack’s, the rounded tip of his nose meeting the pointed end of Jack's. Softly rubbing them together as he got Jack to lower his defense some before he slipped his hand under the moody self-proclaimed ‘Prince of Darkness,’ back. Then again, when did Jack get like this? Prince of Darkness did seem fitting. Clay’s moody Prince.

Pulling them in till they were flushed against himself, Clay rested his forehead to Jack's own as the brim of his hat bent upwards, letting him have a better look at Jack’s face. It seemed enough to get Jack to finally, at least to stop pretending to ignore him.

“Yeah?” Jack answered, trying his best to act as if Clay was not affecting him. But his pale complexion worked against him at that moment. It made it so easy to see how his face warmed and stained his cheeks crimson.

Red was such a nice color on Jack.

“I was hoping I could get ta see ya’ll too.”

That seemed to soften Jack as he smiled and let his hands rest on Clay’s biceps. “Yeah? You did? Not just yanking my chain here?”

Clay breathed out a soft laugh as he tilted his head up to set a kiss between Jack’s eyes, making him close them on reflex. The smile that broke out from the action, though, had Jack just about melt; it was all he wanted. Attention from his boyfriend. 30240 minutes since he had last seen Clay, heard their voice, even. Breathed in that mixture of Earth and hay that just seemed to come from the Dragon of Earth naturally. To soak in their warmth as he let his arms once more coil around Clay’s thick neck, legs locking around Clay’s waist. Jack finally had Clay where and how he wanted him, and he wasn’t willing to give up a single second he could squeeze out from their limited time together now. Melting as Clay’s lips started to trail kisses down the bridge of Jack’s nose, before finally reaching his lips.

Clay’s soft lips moved against Jack’s own. The kiss was firm but gentle as Jack parted his lips, swiping his tongue across Clay’s bottom lip, a silent demand for Clay to open his mouth. That Clay was more than happy to obey, parting his lips, his own tongue welcoming Jack’s. The kiss grew deeper as Jack’s fingers plunged into Clay’s thick blond locks, holding their head in place as he slightly tilted Clay’s angle to the side. Following the direction that Jack’s hold was telling Clay to go, like reins on a horse. Leading the dance, their tongues were ensnared with. So engrossed in the moment, Jack hadn’t even noticed as Clay managed to sit up, bringing Jack along with him, adjusting his hold from Jack’s back to settle his hands on their hips as he kept them stable in his lap. Finally, parting their lips when the need for air was too much to ignore. Nothing but a thin string of saliva kept them connected as Jack let his tongue hang out for a second as he caught his breath. Cly’s face grew hot as he swallowed back his thoughts from the dazed stare in Jack’s ruby red eyes. Or just how pink Jack’s tongue was, or how red their bottom lip got, Clay managed to work past all of that as smile at Jack as they seemed to be coming back.

“Told y’all I missed you,” He managed to say breathlessly.

”Well, I guess I can forgive you this time.” Jack said with a soft hum of approval. Before he rested his head on Clay’s shoulder for a moment, taking all of him in. Trying to remember every important detail he could set into a category in his mind. The rhythm of Clay’s breathing, the hold they kept on to Jack.

“This is…a nice feeling,” Jack said softly, lips brushing against the side of Clay’s neck as he spoke.

It was nice.

That one thought just repeated in Clay’s own mind, he agreed. Chances were, though? Jack was just anxious. It had been 3 weeks, 21 days, and 504 hours. Since Clay last saw Jack.

Jack wasn’t the only one who kept track of their time apart. Clay was just as bad. But seeing each other wasn’t exactly easy to do. At best, they saw each other whenever a new Wu appeared and made itself known. Sneaking around his friends' backs wasn't impossible, sure, but it sure wasn’t easy to do either. Clay kind of hated keeping it all secret. If they didn’t have to sneak around, then they wouldn’t be in this kind of situation. Jack was upset he hadn’t seen Clay, and getting sore with him the second they could only for Clay to still be on edge about everything.

“Why didn’ yall try seeing me then?” Clay finally mustered up to ask. Jack did have a bit more free time; it always felt that way at least.

“Clay, come on, we've been over this. The temple is not the best meet-up for us. The second one of your monk buds sees me? I’m getting the tar kicked right outta me.”

“But ya’ll workshop in the basement of where you live, with a ghost witch that can pop in at any moment when we try to be alone, isn't it?” Clay said all in one simple breath as he fixed Jack with a look, his eyes just barely visible through their long blonde bangs.

“Okay, is this because I pushed you off my couch and threw the shroud of shadows over you? Cause in all fairness, you did get to take that one back when you snuck out so Wuya wouldn’t spot ya?” Jack was quick to try to cover with logic. As if that somehow made up for the whole ordeal.

“Why hide it?” Clay finally came out and said. An edge to his tone, “Why sneak and keep secrets about us?”

“How do you think your friends would take you dating me, Jack Spicer Emperor of Darkness, uh?”

Clay quirked his mouth if he were honest. It wasn’t really his friends at the Xiaolin temple that he was worried about finding out who he was dating. More what his Daddy back home set in his old way might say about him hooking up with another guy and all. That twisted his guts around himself more than his friends, learning what he had been getting up to lately. Though that likely wouldn’t go over any easier, well, not like they didn’t have an odd dynamic with Jack in the first place. Maybe it was dumb, but Clay just thought maybe they would accept it and things would be the same, just with the addition of the fact that Jack was also Clay’s boyfriend? But he still would like to think they might take it better.

“And can you imagine what the others on the Heylin side would say about us?” Jack had kept running his mouth well Clay was lost in thought, but this part did stand out more than maybe even Jack figured it might.

”Are you embarrassed to be datin’ me?” Clay finally spoke up, cutting Jack off mid ramble of whatever his mind had him rattling off about in the moment. And it took that to make Jack shut up for once. Wuya wished she had that ability, Clay thought as he took in the expression on Jack’s face.

“Me being the embarrassed one? Why would I? If anything, I’d think you were embarrassed by me?” Jack seemed to consider what he said, retreating from the words, but the need to tell Clay the truth mattered more at the time. “I mean, of course I’m not. Just ya know evil boy genius and all? People would not understand that I’m dating one of the monks. More so, you specifically. Raimundo? Maybe get a pass there cause he turned traitor once, and well, a lot of us are still taking bets on him doing it again. But you? Of course not, please, I could brag about you for looks alone, that I managed to bag you. You are clearly the catch of the group.”

Despite himself, Clay found it in him to smile softly at Jack before he thought to focus on the slight mention Jack made that Clay should be the one between them who should be embarrassed. “Why would I be embarrassed?”

Again, Clay seemed to be the only person alive who could get Jack’s mouth to stop, as he seemed to hit Clay with an expression that said it all better than Jack could ever voice in that very moment. The look they gave when Omi butchered common phrases. Or the look Kimiko gave Clay when he used Texanisms. Or how they all looked at Raimundo when he lost focus the second a pretty face came around.

“Come on, you know why, Clay.”

Jack saw no reason for anyone to lie. But, Clay kept the clueless expression fixed, and Jack sighed out before finally moving out of Clay’s hold and lap. Taking up the space beside him. Jack didn’t really feel the mood to keep trying for more romantic activities happening between them at the moment.

”Jack.” Clay said anything that could or needed to be asked seemed to just be in the tone alone.

“Clay,” Jack answered drily. Trying to halt the direction of the conversation.

Clay wasn’t so easily deterred, though. Clay found Jack’s hand and took it in his own. When Clay didn’t wear his gloves, it was easier to tell how rough the pads of Clay’s hands were. And how gentle their grip could be despite that. Guess that came with working with his hands on a ranch, and when needing to become more in tune with his element of earth. Jack thought as Clay rubbed his thumb across their knuckles.

“Why do ya think it’s so hard for me to keep this quiet? When somethin’ makes a fella happy enough to make his tail wag like a dog's. Of course, all he wants to do is tell his friends and such. Share what makes him smile for no reason, or who always fills up my thoughts.”

Jack had to force himself to blink as hard as he could so as to chase away the tears that were threatening to break free when hearing Clay refer to him. In a way, Jack never thought anyone ever could when it came to him.

But Clay was.

“Alright, you can stop the sap, I ain’t mad anymore.” Jack tried to offer the excuse to Clay even as he tugged his hand away from them. Wring it together with his left hand as he found something off to his side to stare at and not Clay. It was easier to think it was an attempt at sucking up to earn back Jack’s favor after he expressed some hurt feelings with them.

“You’re the best thing to ever happen to me. I mean it, Jack.”

Jack offered a laugh, but it didn’t sound genuine, like Jack found it funny in a good way. It was painful when it came out. Clay furrowed his brow and quirked his lip at the sound.

“So you are embarrassed by me?” Clay asked once more. He knew what Jack told him before he was being honest, but that didn’t mean Clay had to like how Jack was being now after that.

“Jack I-“

”I know,” Jack cut in right away, “I know when you say that all you mean it. I’m not that stupid. I just can’t understand it, okay.”

“You- You can’t understand that I feel that way?”

”I hear what everyone says about me!” Jack exclaimed as he threw his hands in the air to add some emphasis. “You’re friends, the others like Katnappe or even pandabubua? Hell, you should see the shit Le Meme writes online! They have a whole cheating space that I’m not allowed to join, yet they happily love to mock me on.” Jack sighs, “Hell, look at my own parents. Dad’s always away, and it’s pretty rare when my mom is, and they hardly bother to in the least recall that I’m alive.”

Clay stared for a moment, then two. Wondering if the secret wasn’t because they were on opposing sides. No, the secret never was because Jack was Heylin and Clay was Xaolin. That was too simple to be easy. Despite it, the line between the two paths was never that wide. So many times, they have had to work together for one reason or another. Jack partnered with them because he couldn’t take over the world if someone else had. Chase had even worked with them when a greater threat came about. It was a different reason, something closer to Jack’s fragile heart. As Jack wraggled his hands together, needing to keep them moving and busy. Something to focus on that wasn’t this conversation, this cave even.

Clay took hold of Jack’s hand, prying them apart from the other, replacing their hold on the other with his own grip around each one. Lovingly stroking the back of them with his thumb to ease Jack. Offering a nice soft ‘shhh’ as he moved forward till his forehead rested against Jack’s. Ruby red eyes flickered and stared into Clay’s own blue ones. Clay tried his best to reassure Jack with the gesture. Hoping it was just the answer that Jack needed in the moment. To ease away all those tangled and messy thoughts in his mind. Not wanting him to grab one of those threads of thought that gave logic to ‘why’. As far as Clay was concerned, after all, he had no reason to feel that way when it came to Jack.

Clay lowered his head to let his lips meet the holes of Jack’s gloves that showed his knuckles. Letting his lips linger for a moment as he pressed his kiss against the bit of uncovered skin.

“You’re my secret to keep Jack.” Clay voiced against them.

Hearing the words set Jack’s face a blaze, the softness of Clay’s voice when he made that claim. Swallowing back the rush that one action from Clay brought on, Jack seemed to find words.

“Sneaking around is exciting, right? Guess the dragon of earth ain’t immune when it comes to finding that thrilling uh?” Jack asked with a slight nervous chuckle. Having nowhere near expected Clay to call him theirs, but it felt. Good.

Almost as good as Clay’s soft laugh that followed

“Yeah, got me, ‘m getting real into the whole taboo of it all.” Clay snaked his arms around Jack’s midsection, holding them firmly, but it was never with force, despite his strength. Clay was nothing but gentle with Jack, like he was made of glass. Maybe he should hate it, but Jack didn’t. It might make him less than manly, but he couldn’t care when he felt that warmth radiating off from Clay. Soaking it in before he settled into Clay’s hold. This was what he wanted before. Burying his face into the crook of Clay’s neck, listening to how Clay breathed as they stayed in the comfort of their own world for a moment. Jack shifted his legs so he could straddle Clay’s thighs. Returning to sitting in their lap, Jack let his eyes close for a few seconds as he took in the peace that Clay just seemed to provide.

But Jack couldn’t hold back the temptation as he parted his lips and let his teeth clamp down on Clay’s tender skin. Even as Clay flinched, he didn’t dare throw Jack off or even change how he held them. Only uttering out a harsh ‘hey now’ the second Clay felt teeth clamp onto his neck. Well aware this was a get-back bite.

”That’s for being rude and denying me a hot make-out session behind everyone’s backs.” Jack explained that once he felt he had delivered a good enough bite to Clay’s neck.

“Alright, alright, I give. Least keep the bitin’ to the softer ones.”

Jack just smirked at the request. “Hmm, maybe, only if you make up for it before, and I might consider the terms.” Jack tilted his head to the side, leaning in for a proper kiss, stopping just short so his lips brushed against Clay’s own well, he spoke. “Or it’ll make the secret harder to keep from getting out.”
