Chapter Text
— Well… well… it seems it’s time for us to leave, Eleven.
Said the female figure, who stood on top of one of the rooftops. The strong winds and the sea breeze made her colorful hair flutter. She held an umbrella, wearing jeans, a white top, and a denim jacket with two unicorns drawn on it.
— Yes, but the boss won’t be happy at all to know you didn’t kill him — said the small man, who looked more like a rodent, with large round eyes, rosy cheeks, and a black hat on his head. He wore a white dress shirt and brown shorts with suspenders.
— We reached the Straw Hats, but you can’t say no to him, well… well… — the girl smiled, placing a hand over her mouth. — He himself said I could destroy his life and his soul in exchange for his companion… well… well… in exchange for Monkey D. Luffy.
The girl let out a sharp, eerie laugh.
One hour earlier
Luffy was already on the ground, panting, while smoke rose from his body. He groaned from exhaustion.
— Damn… she’s too fast — the boy said, holding his left arm.
— Well… well… what a pity that, now that you rescued your companion, you have to die.
— Hey, bastard! — Zoro shouted, charging forward. — Santoryu: Oni Giri!
He launched a sword strike at the girl, the three blades slicing through the air in a cross attack.
— Don’t interfere, this is between me and Luffy. Reflectir bloo!
The girl counterattacked, reflecting the swordsman’s strike and sending it back at him. Even trying to defend himself, Zoro ended up getting injured. From the force of the counterattack, he was thrown backward, a cut opening across his chest.
Meanwhile, the woman skipped forward until she reached the Straw Hat captain.
— Well… well… now it’s your turn!
She raised her hand to touch the brunette, but a swift kick forced her to step back.
— Diable Jambe… Concassé!
Sanji spun in the air, his leg nearly striking where she stood, stopping just short and forcing her into a backward flip.
— I wouldn’t fight a lady, but I can’t let you attack our captain — said the blond, smoke drifting from his cigarette. — Even if you’re as beautiful as you are… marry me!!!
— Hey, focus on the fight, you idiot! — Zoro shouted from the ground.
— What did you say, you shitty marimo?!
— Focus, both of you. Over Down!
The girl brought her hands together and released a distorted sound wave. Sanji jumped back and Zoro rolled aside, barely dodging.
— Damn, fighting her won’t be easy — said Sanji.
— Speak for yourself, ero-cook.
— You were getting your ass kicked just a moment ago!
The two started arguing.
— Oh, Zoro! Sanji! — Luffy called.
— Yes! — they answered together.
Luffy stood up with effort, stretching his arm back.
— Let’s finish this already… Gomu Gomu no… Pistol!
The elastic punch shot forward at high speed, but the girl simply spun her body, letting the attack pass by her side.
— Give up. It will be easier for you.
— Never! After all, who are you?! — Luffy shouted.
— Well… well… I am Okasan, and I was sent to
kill and destroy Monkey D. Luffy.
— Then come at me! — Luffy charged again. — Gomu Gomu no… Gatling!
A sequence of elastic punches rushed toward her, but the girl dodged.
Meanwhile, the swordsman tried to attack her — Santoryu: Oni Giri!
— Pause bloo!
A bubble appeared between her fingers, and Zoro was paralyzed before he could help.
— Damn it! — Sanji tried to attack. — Collier Shoot!
But he was also struck by her power, becoming unable to move.
— What the hell are you?! — Zoro shouted, unable to move.
— Well… well… I already told you, you cannot defeat me. I ate the Uchu Uchu no Mi, the universe fruit. I can control your space, that’s why your attacks don’t affect me…
She opened a cruel smile.
— Now I will finish what I came to do.
— Wait! — Usopp shouted, aiming one of his pellets with his slingshot.
— Haa! What the hell are you? — the girl asked, confused by the sniper’s outfit.
— I am the legendary Sogeking!
— What!!! — the girl shouted, startled.
— Huff!! — the two men let out a disappointed sigh.
— Don’t you dare attack Luffy… I mean, the captain of the Straw Hats, because he is a friend of the great warrior Usopp.
— Hummmm!!! Sogeking, it’s really you — Luffy said, excited.
— He actually believes it!! — the two men said, shocked.
— I don’t know who this Sogeking is, but I don’t care, so don’t interfere! — she shouted, irritated, moving toward the brunette.
— Smoke bomb!
When it hit the girl, smoke spread everywhere, but the curly-haired man lost sight of his enemy.
— Hah! Damn it, where is she?
Then the girl cut through the smoke, moving toward him and appearing at his side at a superhuman speed, startling him. The brunette had no time to react.
— Over Down!
Bringing her hands together, she released the sound-based power, hitting him.
When he was struck, Usopp’s mask broke, sending him flying.
When the smoke cleared, the girl was already beside him.
— You really are weak. I’ll do your companions a favor and finish you, over—
— Wait… I’m your opponent! — Luffy shouted, still restrained. When the girl turned to look at him, he continued: — Hoooo!!! Usopp, where is Sogeking?
— He actually believed it! — this time, all three were shocked by Luffy’s innocence.
— It doesn’t matter, you’re right, this is taking too long! — the girl said, impatient.
Before she could move, she felt someone grab her leg.
— Wait! — the brunette whispered weakly, dragging himself across the ground, injured, blood running from his forehead and lips.
— Let go of me, you bastard!
The girl kicked him, sending him crashing down again.
— Usopp! Get out of there! — Sanji shouted from a distance.
— Get out of here, you weakling, you don’t have to fight with us — Zoro said, though his face showed more concern than contempt.
— No! I may not be the strongest in the crew, but I won’t abandon Luffy!! — he shouted, dragging his words, tears in his eyes from the pain. Because of the blow, his jaw was probably dislocated, but that wouldn’t stop Usopp.
— No! Get out of here, Usopp — Luffy said, trying to stay steady. — Go away… go.
The girl simply watched the Straw Hat members argue.
— You heard that, they don’t want your help. Someone weak like you is really their partner? Well… well… — she said, laughing.
— No, I will never abandon a wounded comrade!
“What a strange boy… even while giving off all that fear, he still tries to protect his friends, even when they tell him to leave… how interesting,” Okasan thought, as a devilish smile formed on her lips.
The girl crouched down until she was at the same height as the brunette.
— Really? Then what are you going to do to stop me from killing your captain?!
The sniper’s eyes widened, but no words came out—only a strangled sound.
— Are you willing to suffer in Luffy’s place, and give your life? — the girl asked, her gaze dark.
— No, Usopp, don’t listen to her! — Sanji said. — Hey, we’re your enemies.
— I… am… you’re only going to destroy my life? — the curly-haired man asked, stuttering, afraid. — You’re not going to kill me?
— That’s right! You’ll only suffer a little, in exchange for your little friend’s life!
— Heeey, Okasan!! — Luffy shouted, trying to break free from the girl’s power.
— Tch… my life is already a mess — Usopp said, holding back his tears, his voice trembling.
— This is nothing — he added, clenching his teeth.
— Great, then that’s a yes.
The woman extended the palm of her hand, touching his cheek. He felt his face tingle, while Luffy’s screams continued in the background. Then the assassin used her power, causing the sniper to be swallowed by a glow, disappearing before his companions.
The wind blew between the buildings, filling the emptiness left by Usopp’s disappearance, as the girl prepared to leave, releasing the Straw Hat crew.
Luffy was still staring at the space where he had been, his fists trembling.
— What did you do to him? — the captain asked, stunned. — Bring him back… — he murmured, his voice low.
The girl only smiled.
— I made a deal. He accepted.
Zoro stepped forward, his expression hard.
— He has nothing to do with this… so send me in his place — the swordsman said through clenched teeth.
She raised an eyebrow, looking him up and down.
— You? — she let out a short laugh. — Well… well… no… you wouldn’t do. Even if you did, you wouldn’t be able to help him.
Zoro frowned.
— What did you say? — Zoro said, clenching his teeth.
She opened her umbrella, spinning it between her fingers, unconcerned.
— My fruit feeds on fear. And you… —
she tilted her head — seem to face pain as if it were nothing. You’re no use to me.
The silence grew heavy.
Luffy stood up, still staggering.
— I’m the one you want. Send me… and release Usopp! — he said, his breathing unsteady.
The girl’s expression twisted with irritation.
— You still don’t get it? — she shouted. — I made a deal with him! I can’t just send you, idiot!
Sanji, who had been silent and thoughtful, spoke up, irritated.
— Then take me! — he growled. — If someone is going to suffer for this, it’ll be me.
The girl’s smile slowly widened.
— Ah… so you would sacrifice yourself for him? — she asked, tilting her head toward the blond. — He’s not even such an important member of your crew.
Sanji’s eyes widened for a second before a serious expression took over.
He lit another cigarette, trying to stay calm.
— Yes… he sacrificed himself for our captain.
— Hm… then I suppose you’ll do — she said, smiling.
She extended her hand and touched the cook’s chest.
The space around Sanji began to distort, and a light engulfed his body.
— You feel fear — she continued, speaking slowly. — Fear of losing your friends… fear of not being able to protect them.
— Wait! — Luffy shouted, trying to move forward, but he staggered and fell to his knees.
— Hey! — Zoro also tried to reach him, but it was too late.
Sanji turned his face toward them, his hair covering part of it as he was swallowed by the light.
— Make sure to find us, captain…
— SANJI!
The girl closed her hand.
And Sanji’s body was swallowed by the distortion and disappeared.
Zoro remained still for a few seconds, his eyes fixed on the place where Sanji had vanished.
His jaw tightened.
— …Bastard!
The green-haired man charged forward, trying to attack the girl, but she easily dodged, leaping onto the roof of a house.
— Well… well… — the girl let out a sharp laugh as she jumped away from the two men.
She disappeared soon after, leaving only the wind and silence behind.
Luffy and Zoro remained there, devastated, after losing two crewmates.
