Every living being has its own fate, whether good or bad. Some say it cannot be changed, while others say it can. No one can understand how fate works except the gods. However, some gods cannot understand it. But it's not difficult at all to the god of fate.
However there's some exceptions and variables that he cannot see one's fate. One of them is a reincarnators. Reincarnators are the souls who live multiple lives in different bodies and timelines. If a reincarnator lives for a thousand years, their annual rings will usually be wider than ancient dragon who lives for a thousand years.
Each god has their own responsibilities for what they ruled, an example is the god of death who ruled the death and able to see the date of a person's death. Abyss is his mortal name before he becomes a god.
Now as the god of death, he watches over soul who break the dragon lord's vow of death to become reincarnators. His name is cale barrow, but he called him the punk. Apparently cale barrow is the last decesdant from the dragon slayer.
After breaking the vow of death with dragon lord sheritt, he is condemned to live a life of solitude. In which case, he will be unable to die as he will always reincarnate into a new body each time he dies.
Unfortunately, the gods couldn't interfere in human affairs and could only watch. He couldn't do anything, even though he desperately wanted to beat the bastard up. Abyss, the god of death, had seen the bastard die countless times before reborn in new bodies.
Now the reincarnator's soul stole the body of another soul that should have been them, the soul was even pushed before they was born. The god of death thought of having the child reborn in a different world, but due to an accident, the vessel that was supposed to occupy the poor soul was destroyed.
The soul came into contact with the soul of the reincarnator who had a curse that caused the soul to have half the curse of the other soul. What a unfortunately fate for that soul, after his body was taken he is now a lost soul.
Abyss took pity on the poor soul, he took the little soul to his domain. The other gods learned of this and held discussions in the divine realm. Some of the gods opposing this are the god of balance, the sun god and the god of fate.
They have different reason, the god of balance thinking abyss will break the balance with his stupidity and the god of fate thinking abyss will destroy the fate of the soul by taking the little soul with him. But for the sun god, she think abyss is insane for taking the soul to his domain that full of death that didn't sit right for the little soul.
” Hey abyss are you going insane? ” Angelina, the sun god ask him with annoyed tone.
Abyss didn't answer it but instead he just stay silent making the other gods mad at him for not answering it.
” What's going on with the shitty head of your abyss? ” The god of balance looked at him with a sharp gaze.
But the abyss wasn't afraid at all, he just kept quiet before finally speaking up. “ You guys wont understand it all. I cannot leave the soul alone. ”
The god of fate gritted his teeth, “ And why is that? ”
Abyss sighed, “ It's difficult for me to explain it but you guys should now i do this for the sake of that lost soul. ”
Angelina twitched, " What do you mean? ” She ask him.
Abyss took a second breath then answered, “ The soul is a lost soul, it has no vessel or body to occupy. Their body was taken by the soul of a reincarnator, causing them to be pushed before they was born. ”
The god of fate was silent for a moment before asking him again , “ Then why don't you just move him to another body? ”
“ I don't think it's as easy as you think raev. Even though we are gods, we still have limits in terms of power. I did anything i could to make them born even in another world but everything was ruined when the body that this soul was going to use was damaged and could not be used anymore. ” Abyss was silent for a moment before he continued his words.
“ I can't do anything anymore. This soul will completely disappear if it's not handled immediately. ” Abyss explained to them.
The gods fell silent again, hearing abyss words made them completely unable to say anything. However, the god of balance still could not accept this and asked again, “ Then what do you want to do with that soul abyss? Is that soul that important to you? ”
Abyss frowned, “ Important or not, I don't want this little soul to just disappear. And.. It's none of your business Inara. ”
Inara, the god of balance, gritted her teeth and stared intently into the abyss. “ But this against the law! The gods cannot interfere directly in human affairs! Actually, what are you doing all this for, abyss? ”
The other gods silently watched the two gods bickering, no one dared to interrupt.
The god of life sighed with the two gods who could not get along, “ Calm down, Inara. I'm sure Abyss has his reasons. ” He said to her.
Inara clicked her tongue, “ Okay. But I hope he has a clear reason for this and it's not thinking this just a game. ”
The god of life smiled then turned to look at abyss, the god of death. “ So, can you explain this more clearly abyss? ”
Abyss let out a smile and nodded, “ Very well. As you can see, I do interfere a bit in human affairs. But I did all that not without reason, but I just wanted to correct my mistake. ” He said.
The god of war who had not said anything asked, “ What do you mean you want to correct your mistake? ”
“ This soul contacted with the soul of the punk who had my curse, making this soul shared the half of my curse. So I won't let this soul just disappear without taking responsibility to remove the curse. ” Abyss said to them.
The gods were silent, abyss words really explain everything because they know the abyss never bring any souls into his domain except those who have passed away. The god of life smiled and nodded in understanding.
“ Then you will take the responsibility for this right? ” Angelina ask.
Abyss nodded, “ Yes. ” He answered briefly.
The god of chaos who had been enjoying the drama, smiled. “ I think that's a pretty obvious reason, but I'm still curious. I don't think that's your only reason, do you? ” He said then grinned mischievously.
Abyss groaned hearing the god of chaos, he was really annoyed with that god. He sighed for the third time and nodded his head. “ Yes. I was thinking of creating a new body for that soul with the help of the god of life. ”
“ Yeah I guess I could do it but what for? ” The god of life asked him.
“ I thought about taking care of them. ” Abyss said making the other gods surprised to hear it.
“ Taking care? You mean like treating them as your child? ” The god of life said hesitantly.
“ Yeah, like that. Maybe I can make him my successor when i retire. ” He said with a smile.
The other gods were too shocked to say anything about it. The atmosphere in the room became silent before the god of hope coughed and replying to the god of death.
“ I see. In that case, that's okay. I don't think we should stick too closely to existing laws or rules. ” She said while smiling.
Inara furrowed her brows, “ But- ” Before she could say anything the god of chaos cut her off.
“ I think there is nothing wrong with that. I agree with rowine, we don't have to follow the laws or rules too much. ” He said nodding his head in agreement.
The other gods also had no choice but to agree with the two gods, making the discussion won by abyss with clear arguments. Inara, the god of balance gritted her teeth and said nothing more.
Raev, the god of fate didn't say anything also and just agree with them. The god of life smiled, “ Well since the problem has been solved with abyss having a clear reason then we can end the discussion. ”
with that the gods returned to their activities on their own perspective domain.
After the discussion was over, the god of life met with the god of death to discuss a vessel for the little soul.
“ I can't believe you actually want to care for that little soul like your own child abyss. ” He said in awe.
“ Yeah, what else? Oh yeah, about the vessel, can you make a body for that little soul with white hair like mine? ” Abyss asked him.
The god of life stared at him without blinking and then he nodded. “ Okay but can I make his eyes blue like mine? ”
Abyss widened his eyes and then looked at the god of life with a questioning gaze. The god of life has black hair with bright blue eyes. Abyss frowned and then asked, “ What for? ”
The god of life smiled, “ Just think of it as payment for me. ” Said the god of life with a grin.
Abyss sighed and had no choice but to nod, “ Do whatever you want. ” He said to him.
The god of life's grin widened, “ Alright~ nice working with you abyss. ” He said with a giggles.
Abyss groaned, the god of life's nature was indeed a bit similar to the god of chaos, making abyss feel a headache.
“ Right. Now go back to your domain. ”
The god of life chuckled and then disappeared from the god of death domain.
Abyss then turned his attention to the small orb on his desk which he kept safely, inside the orb there was a small soul inside.
“ A child huh? ” Abyss then unconsciously smiled, gently touching the orb carefully so as not to damage it.
“ Not bad. ”
And that was the beginning of the lost soul becoming the child of the gods.
