Entrapta hadn't intended this to happen. It hadn't been her original goal, but she was enjoying herself immensely. Bow was dumbstruck with a blush causing their brown face to turn a bit lighter in certain areas, particularly their cheeks. Catra was laughing her head off. Adora was completely surprised, as she had no idea that the vaulted Bright Moon queen had these feelings for the ex-princess. They were all flabbergasted this was happening at all. None of them had ever expected it. How long it would last no one knew, except for Entrapta of course. In order to understand how this all started, you have to rewind to twenty minutes earlier, in Entrapta's workshop.
Glimmer had gone looking for Entrapta, who had begun combing through the wreckage of the Fright Zone in the aftermath of the victory over the Horde, and Horde Prime, for anything useful. She finally found the now-ex-princess, who no longer wanted to run the kingdom. In fact, she had turned over governance to the population of Dryl, saying they deserved it much more than her. Seeing the lavender-haired princess scrounging around the rubble that she's brought to the lab, she raised her voice. At first, the woman didn't raise her head. She then said, "uh, Entrapta, can we talk?" The scientist lifted up her mask. "What is it, sparky one?" she asked. Glimmer was a bit embarrassed to admit this. Should she even go to her with this issue? Was she even the right person? She had no idea, honestly, but she thought that maybe she could help since she had studied so many social interactions over the years. She was pretty desperate.
"I-I-I was hoping you could help me with something romantic." The ex-princess was surprised. Why did Glimmer come to her, of all people? She shrugged. "What do you need help with?" She spoke softly. "I-I-I want to ask out Bow...but I am really nervous to do so." The scientist laughed. How could she not do such a thing? She couldn't believe what she was hearing. "That's funny, they asked me the same thing." Glimmer stopped for a second. Did Entrapta use the "they" pronoun for Bow? Wasn't he a man? Putting her hand on her mouth, then sighing, she apologized. "Sorry, it just slipped out." Now Glimmer was even more curious. She wanted to know. She had to know.
"Why did you use 'they' when talking about Bow? Isn't he a man?" She shook her head. Why hadn't Bow said anything to her? Why hadn't they told her? It wasn't really her place. "Well...Bow has been experimenting around recently...and has been loudly declaring that gender doesn't matter anymore...and told me to use they/them pronouns." She paused. "I don't mind though." She didn't want to say anything else. She put her head in her hands. "I-I-I've said...enough already...Bow can explain the rest of it themselves." After this conversation, Glimmer resolved to certainly talk to Bow about it. She had to know what in the world was going on. Before she left, the scientist handed her a small white pill. "Take this. Maybe it will help you...so you aren't as nervous." Glimmer smiled. "Thanks, Entrapta."
Unfortunately for her, Bow wasn't around. As she began thinking about everything and held the pill in her hand, everything kept swirling in her mind. Why hadn't Bow told her? Weren't they friends? How could she trust them? What if Bow was hiding something else from her? As she thought about it more, she realized that Bow certainly had a justified reason for not telling her. Maybe they felt scared to say something to her. These thoughts were immediately interrupted. For all this time, she wasn't watching where she was going and she smashed into Adora's forehead. The blond-haired woman had been perusing the halls with Catra and chatting up a storm. As a result, Glimmer's hand went up to her mouth and she swallowed the pill. She hoped it wouldn't have any negative effects. How wrong she would be. She soon realized it would affect her deeply, in ways that she never guessed were possible.
Scratching her head, as it started to hurt, she came back into the lab. "Entrapta, I accidentally ingested the pill you gave me and..." She stopped mid-sentence. Something in her brain almost flipped over. She felt herself running toward this scientist. She wasn't sure why. "I want to kiss you, now!" she shouted. The scientist ignored her, until she pulled on her hair. She lifted up her visor and saw Glimmer right in front of her. What in the world was going on? "Um, are you...okay?" she asked, clearly concerned about the queen. "I swallowed that pill and now I have sudden urge to kiss you!" she exclaimed. Entrapta shook her head. She should have informed her before giving her the pill. She should have told her that this might happen. Maybe she should have tested it out herself first. But she didn't do that. Oops.
She was surprised by this result, however. The drug was supposed to bring your hidden desires to the surface. Did the princess have the hots for her? She never would have guessed that. Apparently, she had pushed down her feelings a lot. While she wanted to kiss her, she also didn't want to make Bow, Adora, or Catra angry. After all, with everything, she wanted to maintain the friends she had, without any issues. "Well, Miss Sparkles, I don't know..." The queen came closer. As she saw her dusty-pink eyes so close to her, she grumbled. She wanted to run away. At the same time, what other opportunity would she get to kiss a woman like this? The answer was she wouldn't be able to do this otherwise.
"Fine. As long as we don't hurt anyone." Glimmer pulled her close and began intensely kissing her, so deeply. She almost found herself lost in what the queen was doing. In a case of terrible timing, Bow, Catra, and Adora happened to enter the room not long after. All three were stunned to see these two women locking lips. Adora wasn't sure what to think. Catra suddenly started laughing. Bow felt embarrassed and perhaps a tad jealous. Eventually, Entrapta pushed Glimmer away, her eyes wide, and her mouth a bit dry. "That was amazing, Entrapta. I know I've always wanted you, but I couldn't say it until now." Entrapta cleared her throat, trying to sidestep what the queen had just said.
With that, we get back to the present. "So, Sparkles, I mean Glimmer, accidentally ingested some drug I gave her...and she is acting out her deeply-held desires." She didn't want to say this, but she had to. She knew this would be hard for Bow to take, especially. "Apparently she had a crush on me." Catra's laughing had died down. Bow didn't know what to say. Adora had a question. "But why did she go to you? Isn't she in love with...Bow?" They nodded. They knew she was right. Entrapta didn't think she had to explain this too. "Well, it's the desires for the last person she saw...and she was talking to me about you, Bow." They looked at her funny. What did she just say? Talking to her about them? Why?
"She wanted ask you out on a date. And I accidentally told her about you, Bow...I'm so sorry." Bow sighed. They knew it might come out. Bow never knew it would happen like this, though. They looked at her sternly, clearly judging her. "Entrapta, that's pretty messed up...but I know you only said it by accident." She was very apologetic. "I'll do anything to make it up to you!" They scratched their head. Bow had a request. "Okay, well, reverse the effect of this damn drug!" She nodded. "I'll try. The drug only lasts for thirty minutes...as long as she only stays in this room, and we tie her to a chair, she'll be fine." Just as soon as she was about to throw a rope around her, Glimmer teleported away.
She snagged Catra's arm. Despite Adora trying to hold onto her, Glimmer's magic got in her face and she couldn't see. She carried Catra like a princess, floating in the air. "Now, I'll get back at you for what you did to me that one time." She started licking her arms, while spitting out the fur as she went, and was making her her way to the catgirl's face. Horrified by what was happening, Catra was able to jump away in time. She was furious. "What the fuck was that for, you damn unhinged woman!" Adora wasn't happy with this either, but she felt bad for her girlfriend. As she attempted to flee, she saw Glimmer descending from the air toward her. Catra told her to get out of the way.
Instead, she wanted to take one for the team. "Catra, I'll be okay. I-I-I just need to do this." As much as she wanted to disagree, she felt that Adora had a point. If they had thirty minutes of this, Glimmer would tire out eventually. She nodded uneasily. "Glimmer, nice to see you so spry," the blond-haired woman said. Glimmer's eyes sparkled. "I'll give you a proper kiss." Entrapta continued furiously writing down notes, wanting to collect more and more data, even though she also wanted this to be over for the sake of her friends. "Uh, okay," Adora said, unsure what her friend meant. She pulled in Adora closely, giving her a kiss that was so sensual, so soft. She could feel her friend's tongue. She leaned into it. Perhaps she wanted this to continue. Her girlfriend was not happy about this as it continued as the minutes went by. She was about to push Glimmer away when she collapsed onto the floor and fell asleep. They were all puzzled.
Entrapta was jubilant. "This experiment was a success!" They all looked at her funny. What in the world was she talking about? "What success do you mean, Entrapta?" Bow asked, trying to understand. Entrapta laughed uneasily. "The pill worked so much better than I would have hoped! You should all take one of these drugs too! Since it has now been tested!" Catra growled. She pulled the ex-princess closer. "What do you mean? Are you saying you never tested it before you gave it to her?" She shrugged. She pushed the catgirl away and huffed. "A scientist never gives away her secrets." Adora didn't want to challenge her on that. In the minutes followed, they worked together to carry Glimmer to her room. It was now all over. Bow was relieved, as was Catra, while Adora was puzzled by what had just occurred, as she had never expected it.
On the way to Glimmer's room, Bow teased Catra. They always liked to rib her. Since this was resolved, for now, they didn't mind it either. "What Glimmer did you was...a bit intense...are you sure you don't want to be with her? You could be Sparkle Kitten!" She looked at them strangely. What in the living hell was Bow talking about? "Sparkle what now?" Adora couldn't stop herself from laughing. "It's a nickname that people call you and Glimmer when you are together." Catra didn't like this one bit. All the while, Entrapta muttered about wanting to do the experiment properly next time, with better parameters. She didn't care if they told her that a kiss wasn't a science experiment. It was for her.
"You know, when Glimmer kissed me, it was so amazing. It felt like it gave me energy. I wish I could do it again." They all stared at her like she had a thousand heads. Was she out of her mind? "You want to go through this whole damn thing again?" She nodded. Catra shook her head. "Seriously? Isn't this enough? You aren't supposed to want more!" Entrapta ignored the snide comment. They all went their separate ways. Bow went with Glimmer. Catra and Adora retired to their room. Entrapta returned to her lab. She wasn't done with experimenting yet. She wanted to try something else. She had somehow gathered, through surreptitious means, DNA samples from each of them. She had a plan.
A few hours later, Glimmer opened her eyes. She saw Bow sleeping by her bedside. She touched their head. Bow opened their eyes. "Oh, you are finally up." Glimmer nodded. "It all seems like a blur. Can you fill me in?" Bow was a bit nervous to do so, but decided to tell her anyway. What choice did they have? "Well, you kissed Entrapta, licked up Catra's arm and would have kissed her, then you had a keep kiss with Adora...it was the effects from some pill that Entrapta gave you apparently." She felt totally humiliated. She wasn't happy with the ex-princess until she remembered that she had helped her and that had been understanding. She sighed. "I-I-I'm sorry...Bow...you had to go through all that...I just wanted to ask you out on a date and I thought she'd...assist me with it."
Bow couldn't hold back their laughter, which made Glimmer a bit annoyed, even though she still saw them as incredibly adorable. They quickly stopped, not wanting to offend her. "Apology accepted. She said that she told you about me...and..." Their voice trailed off. "That you use they/them pronouns now?" Bow nodded. She wrapped her arms around them. "Why didn't tell you me, Bow? Aren't you my friend?" They almost cried. "I...was...so scared...I thought you might think of me differently." She shook her head. "I...would never...you will always be Bow to me...no matter if you are a woman, a man, or something else entirely." Bow grinned and hugged her. They whispered in her ear. "I'm trying out they/them pronouns now, but...if it is more comfortable, you can still use he/him/his...if..." The queen shook her head. "No, silly. I want to respect you...like any other person...even if it takes some time to get used to it."
They spoke softly back to her. "Thank you, so much," and smooched her on the cheek. She giggled back. "Are we dating now?" They weren't sure. What should they say? "Do you want to be?" Glimmer nodded. She responded enthusiastically. "I very much want that." Both were happy and glad to be together. While everything was quiet and peaceful, that would not last. Entrapta's next experiment would threaten to pull all four of them apart in ways they couldn't even imagine or contemplate. None of them were prepared for what was coming next. They would be somewhat caught off guard, in certain ways, even with her warning them about it.
A week passed. Catra, Adora, Bow, Glimmer, and Entrapta had all gone about their business. One day she sent them a private message. "Please be on the lookout. I made some robotic copies of you all, as a test, but they escaped the lab. Subdue them. I'll reprogram and disable each one." Each one replied on the group chat to her. It wouldn't be that simple, however. The robots looked exactly like humans. It was very hard to tell them apart. It wouldn't be easy to do so. They shared so many attributes, they could easily fool someone. The first one who encountered these robots was Catra. She was putting away her clothes and tidying her room when she heard someone knock.
"Glimmer, are you okay? What are you doing here?" the catgirl asked. The robot smiled. "I only wanted to spend some time with you. Isn't that what friends do?" Catra was a bit wary, but also thought that this was okay. Maybe she really wanted to be with her. Maybe she should be more friendly to her, maybe she should... She started to feel a bit lightheaded. She wasn't sure what it was. She realized something was wrong when she heard the voice. "I have dreams about kissing you, Catra. And you are kissing me back in those dreams." Now she knew something was clearly wrong. She had to get out of there. She had to escape. The robot stopped her. "Come on, haven't you always been attracted to me? Don't you want to try?" The catgirl wanted to say no. Suddenly she felt her opinion changing. She wasn't sure why. She blurted out her reply. "Yes, I do." She found herself making the first move. She kissed this Glimmer.
The robot kissed her back, with all its force. She started to feel certain sensations. Her body was getting warm. She didn't why she was reacting this way but it felt so good. The robot was effective and so lifelike, she almost thought her lips were locked with the real queen. The robot cooed her as it moved its face away from hers. "I can make you feel pleasure like you have never felt before." Catra, still in a bit of a daze, only said, "I...don't know..." She was about to finish what she was saying when her girlfriend, in She-Ra form, bust into the room. "Get away from my Catra, you fiend!" She sliced across its wrists, exposing its circuitry. The robot attempted to defend itself, but she sliced it into tiny pieces.
As the room cleared, Catra came to her senses. "Adora, thank you so much for saving me!" This was an unusual thing for her to say, something she would never be caught saying under usual circumstances. She had even grumbled about Adora saving her in the past, pushing her away. She threw her arms around her girlfriend, who de-transformed out of her She-Ra form, who did the same. "I'm so glad you are safe." As she guided her out of the room, she held a sword in her hand, and handed Catra a weapon. They were en route to the safe room, where they'd ride this out. She teased her a bit. "Did that robot turn you on by chance?" Catra was almost offended by the question. Should she be honest or hold it in? She decided that lying would be much worse. "I guess so...I mean she only kissed me and..."
She wasn't sure she wanted to say the next part aloud or not. She didn't know if she should. So she said it softly. "I think she...uh...wanted to go further with me...if you know what I mean." Adora's face became beet red. She scooped up Catra and began running as fast as she could. She wouldn't let that happen to her ever again. Had Catra been weak? Or...did she really want it? She didn't know how she'd feel if Catra admitted she had wanted it. On the other hand, she was a free woman. She didn't control her every movement. If she felt that doing that with a robot was good then... Her thought process was interrupted. Catra said, under her breath, "I might have done it with her...but...she sprayed some gas or something in the room...I felt a little lightheaded when she was there." Adora understood. She then boasted. "Well, I took down the robotic version of you. She never did anything to me." She wasn't telling the full truth. The robot had nearly done the same to her until she finally came to her senses, transformed into She-Ra, and stabbed it through the chest. It had taken her a while though. She would probably tell her someday, but now wasn't the time for that...
They finally made their way to the safe room. Glimmer, Bow, and Entrapta were there. "Are you both okay?" Bow asked. They nodded. Bow breathed a sigh of relief. "Entrapta says these robots will tire themselves out, but for now...we have to protect ourselves." They understood. Emily had been walking around, firing on the robots, easily destroying each one. So far only one remained: it looked like Glimmer. It had evaded capture. Entrapta had her head in her hands. She didn't want this happen! "I only wanted to practice kissing you all, but then they escaped and..." She bowed their direction. "I'm so sorry for all of this." Her prehensile hair wrapped around herself, almost a little like a cocoon. Glimmer pulled the hair aside. "It's okay. Why don't we all give you a peck on the cheek now? Would that make you feel better?" she proposed, to everyone's surprise. She didn't want to admit it, but Entrapta looked very pretty.
Entrapta bounded out of her hair cocoon and clapped her hands together. "Okay, let's kiss. For science." Glimmer went first. She planted a kiss on Entrapta's hand, then her cheek. Bow did the same on her other hand and followed up with her cheek. Catra and Adora begrudgingly did so on her cheeks at the same time. The scientist couldn't stop smiling. She couldn't be happier with this result. "Well, this is a welcome addition to our friendship." She snickered. "And it's very hot." Bow shook their head at her comment, while Adora and Glimmer looked at her funny. Catra laughed again at the absurdity of what she said. She saw this as hot? What other thoughts was she hiding? What else wasn't she telling hem? All five of them stayed there together, in that room. Entrapta began planning another experiment in her head, one that would actually work. She wasn't done yet. This was only the beginning...
