Work Text:
Being a new doctor at the Pitt is something you’re still getting used to, especially being night shift. But something that’s even harder than that is working with Dr. Abbot. Besides that fact that he’s super tough on you, he’s also super attractive.
You’ve never told any of your coworkers about your attraction towards him. Mostly because he’s your attending and he’s well over 20 years older than you. But that’s what makes him so alluring. He’s well-informed in his line of work and does everything so effortlessly, even under pressure. Like one time when he brought you in when a tracheostomy was needed and it was your first time. Obviously trying to stay calm but you were shaking like a leaf, so instead of doing it he stands behind you and takes your wrist to help with the incision. You can still remember the way he was whispering in your ear telling you were doing a good job.
Fast forward to the current situation, a new patient came in with a large arm laceration and multiple bruises. Dr. Abbot called you in to help with the stitching of the arm. You came in with supplies and sat down on the right side of the bed getting ready.
“Right here is Dr. L/N, she’ll patch you up in no time. And you won’t feel a thing.” He quickly flashed you a smile as you got started.
You flash him a smile back and then focus on your work. While halfway through the stitches you realize there’s a presence behind you. You quickly glance back and notice it’s Dr. Abbot. He’s practically breathing down your neck watching you.
“Is this really that entertaining to watch Dr. Abbot?” You quickly glance at him, “Don’t you have other patience to get to?”
“Sorry, sorry. I just wanted to watch my favorite resident at work.” He slowly backed up and walked to the door, “Just come get me when you’re done and we can move him outta here and into another room.”
“Got it captain. Shouldn’t be much longer.” You quickly saluted him and went back to stitching. You could hear the door open and close, signally he was gone. You let out a breath you didn’t realize you were holding and focused back to the task at hand.

You checked your watch and realized your shift was close to an end. 6 a.m. You got so swept up in patients coming in you noticed you needed to go to the bathroom.
While on the way to the bathroom someone just had to stop you right before you got to the door. You turned around to where you heard your name called and it was no other than Dr. Abbot.
“Hey, did you manage to discharge that last patient? They were having a bit of trouble and I wasn’t able to be there for the rest.”
“Yes, I discharged them 15 minutes ago and they left in good condition with some medication if the pain started again.” You slowly started to shift towards the door hoping he’d get the hint you were trying to go somewhere.
“Ok, good, good.” He seemed fidgety and was anxiously putting his hands in his pockets.
“Yup, good! If you don’t mind, I need to use the restroom. I’ll be out in a little bit if you need me.” You quickly turned around and walked straight into the bathroom to relive yourself.
As soon as you sat down in the stall you could finally relax. No longer under the gaze of Dr. Abbot. You feel like you can’t do anything properly when he’s around you. Just before you finished you remembered that one time you were switching over with the day shifts. Mohan came over to you and told you how Dr. Abbot had showed up with someone he knew that was injured. While she was on her way to one of her patience rooms Dr. Abbot was in there shirtless.
She was mostly talking about how upset that her patience had ditched and how she was trying to help. But the only thing you could focus on was how jealous you were that she got to see him shirtless and help him with an injury.
Your recollection of events got you thinking about things you shouldn’t be. Especially on the job. You quickly tried to snap out of it but you could feel your stomach getting fuzzy. You are such a pervert! You quickly finished up and washed your hands, slapping some water on your face for good measures.
You walked out of the bathroom ready to get back to work. You needed something to distract yourself from your perverted mind. Luckily someone new was just wheeled in from an ambulance.

Your shift was finally ending and morning shift staff were coming in. You knew Dr. Abbot would sometimes be on the roof after shifts, but you don’t know if this is one of those times. You were secretly hoping it was as you walked up the stairs to the roof. You weren’t expecting anything, maybe a friendly conversation before leaving. Something to feed your imagination for later.
You slowly opened the heavy door leading onto the door, its hinges making a loud and obvious noise. So much for trying to be subtle. Yet Dr. Abbot didn’t turn around, like he was expecting you.
“Hey, how was the last bit of your shift?” You slowly came up beside him and leaned against the railing. You could see him glance in your direction before answering.
“Oh, just the usual. What made you come up here? Wanted to see me before you leave?” He turned around and used his forearms to lean on the railing. You guys made momentary eye contact before you got too nervous and looked away. You could tell he was still looking at you.
“Yeah, something like that.” You chuckled to yourself hoping he couldn’t tell your response was serious.
You peered at his arms as they flexed under his weight and noticed the veins in his arms move. He slowly came closer and looked down on you.
“You really like staring at me.” He let a large smile splay out on his face. Your heart nearly stopped beating.
“What do you mean?” Your scrubs slowly started to become uncomfortable and you had to readjust your standing position.
“Come on,” he leaned in, close enough you could feel his breath on your ear. “You don’t think I don’t notice when you stare at me? Especially when I’m arms deep in someone trying to save them.” He paused for a moment and laughed to himself, “You look like a deer caught in headlights.”
You could feel the heat grow in your face and expand to your ears. “I never realized it was that obvious…” Suddenly the feeling of embarrassment flooded your body. “I- I’m sorry- I’ll try to maintain a professional attitude in the workplace.”
“Oh really?” Abbot knew what he was doing was wrong, he shouldn’t be feeling this way towards his resident. Especially with how much younger you are than him. He feels like an old creep. But something about you is so alluring. “What if I don’t want you to stop?”
His words took you by surprise and you whipped your head up to check if he was being serious. Before you knew it his hand had slipped down to your lower back and he pulled you closer.
“This isn’t supposed to be happening- you’re supposed to reprimand me and then act like this never happened. This is wrong on so many levels.”
“That’s what makes it so exciting.” He placed his face into the curve of your neck and breathed your scent in. “Do you want me to stop? Or do you want this?”
Your mind was running at a thousand miles per hour. Was this really happening? Even if this is so wrong, you’re just a woman who hasn’t been touched in forever. And to be touched by Dr. Abbot? Might as well let it happen.
Your body relaxed into his hand as your conscience settled. “Don’t stop, please, Jack.”
You could feel his body tense for a second as you called him by his first name. You rarely did it, maybe one or twice since you started working as his resident.
“God, you don’t know what that does to me.” He started kissing up the side of your neck to your jaw until he stopped at your lips.
You both glanced between each other's eyes and lips waiting for the other to move first. You couldn’t hold yourself back as you wrapped your arm around his neck and closed the space between you two. At first it was normal kisses but you started to get eager and started swiping your tongue in his mouth. He groaned as your tongues fought over dominance. He couldn’t remember the last time he's done this, always stuck at the hospital and never having time to go out.
His other arm started roaming your body before stopping at your ass and squeezing your cheeks. It caught you off guard and you gasped into the kiss. He slowly slid the hand down from your butt onto your thigh lifting it slightly, allowing himself to slot his muscular thigh in between your legs. Promptly after he took both hands and began grinding your hips onto his leg.
“Oh- Jack, what if someone comes up here?” You could barely gather the thoughts in your head to form a normal sentence. You could feel you were getting close and you didn’t want to stop, but the thought of someone coming up here was haunting your thoughts.
“Hey, don’t worry baby. No one really comes up here, besides Robby. But we have time till he gets here.” He leaned in and kissed you until you gave up on arguing.
You could feel the peak coming close and Jack knew too. “Come on baby, almost there. You’re so close. Be a good girl and finish on my leg.” He flooded your mind with praises and before you knew it your legs spasmed and clamped down on his leg.
He slowly set you down on the ground and sat next to you. “You did so well.” He fixed some flyaways, tucking them behind your ear. He gently kissed your face as you came down.
“I would’ve never thought this would happen. You’re seriously so hot.” You leaned your head onto his shoulder as you looked at the sky slowly changing colours.
Before he could get an answer out the big door creaked and a figure emerged from the stairwell. Robby walked through looking caught off guard before speaking, “Am I interrupting something, Doctors?”
