Summary:

Uryū wants Ichigo. And he'll make sure that he gets him, too.

Notes:

Lots of mind control and possessive behaviour, done out of extremist, obsessive love. Very self indulgent fic, but I hope you enjoy too.

Title means 'eternal love.'

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Work Text:

Studying over at Uryu’s apartment was surprisingly enjoyable. There was a sense of companionship that made it all feel less lonely and daunting, like Ichigo might manage to get somewhere with this tedium after all.

Uryu had been so kind about it, too. He’d ordered in takeout and even offered Ichigo some chocolates for dessert, sitting next to him and not being too mean when he bungled the questions. It all felt so special and almost intimate, making Ichigo unable to help wondering what could have been between them, if only Uryu was attracted to men, which he obviously wasn’t.

With a sigh Ichigo finished the line of questions he was on and leaned back in his chair to stretch. They were making excellent progress, and Ichigo decided to reach over to the chocolate cupcake Uryu had set out for him. He’d asked multiple times if it was okay for him to have one when Uryu wasn’t, but each time he’d been waved off as if it was nothing. The cake was warm and moist and delicious, and Ichigo sank back into the chair with closed eyes taking it in.

“Where did you get this? It’s incredible.”

“I bought them from my favourite bakery,” Uryu said lightly, only half looking up from his own textbook. “I ate my own earlier.”

“Mmmm.” Ichigo finished it off, licking his fingers and wishing there was another half dozen for him to devour.

Satisfied, Ichigo went back to finish his math problems, but he found that focusing was getting noticeably harder than before. It was like a fog was seeping into his mind, making all the numbers seem to dance with one another and mock him for his attempts to solve them. After a while this was accompanied by a warmth pooling in his loins quickly followed by hardness, at just about the worst place for it to possibly happen.

He glanced up at Uryu, cheeks fire-hot, and noticed the boy was staring at him. Images of fucking and being fucked by Uryu danced through his head without abandon, more vigorous than ever before. His arousal was getting worse, too, and finally unable to bear it anymore Ichigo got up out of his chair with a loud screech and excused himself to the bathroom before the situation got any worse.

At almost lightning speed Uryu got up and intercepted him, grabbing his wrist and dragging him into his tiny bedroom.

Ichigo was still aware enough to know how strange this sudden turn of events was, glancing to see that somehow Uryu was also hard already without any reason, just like Ichigo. But he’d never been—not that he’d said—

Ichigo was becoming awash in the horniness now, however, and had no resistance when Uryu pushed him backwards onto the bed and tore his clothes off with abandon. Frantic and desperate now, Ichigo began to pant, staring up into Uryu’s eyes, babbling and begging to fuck him, or be fucked, he didn’t really care, he just needed a release. Any release at all.

“You want that, don’t you?” Uryu stroked the tip of Ichigo’s member, making him groan. “You want this more than anything right now, don’t you?”

“Yes,” Ichigo mumbled. He was so pent up, needed release.

“And you will get it. But you need to cooperate just a few things with me, first.”

“No! I need it—want it now!” Ichigo begged as Uryu turned away. “Don’t leave me!”

“Have patience.” Uryu moved back over Ichigo’s head, stroking his ear a bit, nipping and kissing before sliding something icy cold into his ear canal. It went deep, very deep, it seemed to almost be touching Ichigo’s eardrum. On the outside it clipped into his ear, seemed to almost drill straight into the sides of his ear canal and through the top edges of his ear. It hurt, but in Ichigo’s current state it made him so aroused he began to moan instead.

“There we are. I need to make sure these can’t come out, of course.” Uryu did the other ear, and Ichigo was left feeling full in the wrong hole, squirming. He reached for his member to stroke, to relieve even some of the pressure, but Uryu swatted him away.

“Not yet. That’s for me to do after you’ve been good and let me finish this.”

“What are those? In my ears?” Ichigo felt a spike of panic pierce his chest.

“Something special to make you the happiest man alive,” Uryu cooed, and it was both disturbing and strangely romantic. “Open up your eyes for me, Ichigo sweetie, now will you?”

“I don’t understand what’s happening,” Ichigo groaned, trying to think clearly through his wave of infuriating edging.

“I know. But hopefully you will soon, once this is all over. But for now I need to be discreet, okay? You’re not ready for the truth yet.”

With his fingers Uryu pulled the eyelids of Ichigo’s left eye open so wide he could have sworn his eyeball was going to be popped out of his socket.

“Breathe deep, Ichigo. You’re doing so well.”

Something large, slightly curved and icy cold went in over Ichigo’s eye and the whole world faded to a strange bluish green smear in his left eye.

“Ishida-kun?” Ichigo was still reaching down to stroke his member, getting closer, but Uryu lifted his hand away.

“Not yet, my sweetheart. And please, call me Uryu.” Uryu set his arm up and pulled Ichigo’s other eye wide, the same strange thing being put in his eye and the whole world being opaquely shrouded in the strange green and blue tones.

Suddenly, a buzzing noise started. It was static, and bees, hinting at deeper contents Ichigo couldn’t quite make out.

“Can you hear the sounds yet?” Uryu’s voice drifted, coming in loud and clear over the static.

“Yeah,” Ichigo mumbled, not quite understanding what was relevant about sounds, only that they were tickling the edges of his brain.

“Good. After this evening, I want you to let yourself sink into them, okay? Embrace the sounds, and hear what they have to say.”

“What do you mean?” Ichigo didn’t even know what to think anymore, only that he was so horny it was starting to get a bit painful and he couldn’t see anything and his heart was starting to beat frantically in his chest.

“Better you just sit back and watch.”

And then the light came back on, and Ichigo’s vision was dancing and swirling with three dozen shades of blue and green, blocking out everything but Uryu’s face above him, smiling calmly and confidently like it was just another day, and they were still talking over their homework.

“Calm down, Ichigo. I have a few special things to tell you, and then I can give you that release. Okay? Is that good for you?”

The shifting shapes were making it impossible for Ichigo to think properly or focus, his mind fading slowly into a horny, hypnotized mess.

“Your earpieces will remind you of all these things constantly, but I want you to hear them from my mouth first.” Uryu had begun stroking Ichigo’s member, and he could vaguely hear himself moaning underneath all the static.

But the colours were boring deeper into Ichigo’s mind, making everything melt away like butter, and the next words that came out of Uryu’s mouth immediately imprinted on him as the ultimate, unavoidable truth.

“When you wake up tomorrow morning, you will remember none of this. As far as you are aware, it was a normal study session that went late, so you slept on my couch. You will remember nothing: not the pieces in your ears, the lenses in your eyes, nor the mind-blowing sex we’ll have once this is done.”

The ability to completely forget had already entered Ichigo’s mind, trickling deeper like water into sand.

“I’ll ease you into things. But even so you’re going to be relaxed, and listen. I know listening to people isn’t your strong suit, Ichigo, but I want you to at least try, sweetheart.”

Ichigo felt like he was floating, and Uryu’s words kept washing over him. Listen…he could at least do that. The colours were so relaxing, and his face was pretty nice, too. Listening wouldn’t be so bad.

“I mean a lot to you, Ichigo. A great deal.”

Of course he did! Uryu was a friend. An important friend that Ichigo wanted to protect.

“I know letting go like this won’t be easy for you, so I’m going to ease you into it slowly. Step by step. This time next week, you’re going to come over so I can help you a little more. Slowly, slowly.”

Ichigo almost wondered what for, but his brain couldn’t muster the thought.

“But for now, I just want you to release your tension a bit and trust me. I’m your friend, Ichigo. You can trust me, can’t you?”

Ichigo waited for Uryu’s voice to speak up again, lost in the sea of calm, but when he did it was forceful.

“When I ask you a question, Ichigo, you will answer it.”

“I trust you,” Ichigo gasped out, barely hearing his own words.

“Good. Now, we can begin.”

The colours remained swirling in his vision, but suddenly Uryu began licking and biting his way down Ichigo’s body. The pleasure made him shriek.

Somehow, Ichigo’s whole week was in anticipation of the study session he’d planned with Uryu. Life had become so grey and dull, devoid of any real interest, but his last time over there had been so special. Why was something he couldn’t quite pin down, with the details of the last one being slightly fuzzy, but he knew without a doubt that nothing would possibly manage to rival it. The whole week in between was really no better than dreadfully boring.

Ichigo had to restrain himself from skipping up the steps to Uryu’s apartment. In the silence of his mind he could almost hear a faint static, not for the first time in the last few days, but as usual he paid it no mind. Things were going perfectly fine.

Seeing Uryu in the doorway made Ichigo’s face break out into a big grin. “Ishida-kun!” A sudden urge to hug him washed over Ichigo like a wave, tingling from head to toes and dripping down his spine on the way, but he worried that was a bit too familiar and restrained himself.

Then again, on their way inside, Uryu was brushing up against Ichigo’s arm an awful lot. Maybe it would have been fine. Maybe Uryu liked being hugged.

“How about we go into my room first?” Uryu offered with a small smile.

“Oh? I thought we’d study before we hung out.” Long-lost dreams of sleeping with Uryu briefly flickered through Ichigo’s mind, but they died before he could think about them.

“No, that can wait for later. This is more important.”

Once inside, Ichigo hung awkwardly in the doorway as Uryu rummaged through something in a drawer. “Whatcha looking for?”

“Oh, nothing much,” Uryu said flippantly, moving over towards Ichigo with something clenched in both hands, too tightly to be seen. “Just relax and don’t question things.”

“Are we gonna try some cool training moves?”

“Even better.” Uryu was so close now, Ichigo could feel his breath on his face. “Close your eyes…”

Without even thinking, nor considering that this was a strange request, Ichigo did as he was told. At once two experiences hit him: Uryu kissing him on the lips with soft, sweet, minty lips, and a slight pinch in his neck.

Before Ichigo could process the pleasure of the kiss or the shock of the pinch, his vision changed and the whole world turned to shades of blue except for Uryu’s face, perfect and undistorted.

“Our session begins now. Like last time, you will not remember anything after this time for the coming weeks.” Uryu smiled. “I injected you with an aphrodisiac, sweetheart. We are going to have the best sex of our lives.”

It took very little time, between hearing Uryu’s voice and the aphrodisiac, for Ichigo to get hopelessly hard, moaning as he was pushed down onto the bed and kissed all over. It all felt so good…all because it was Uryu. Giving in to Uryu, letting him go and come inside him over and over and over, not tiring even the slightest, hearing the quincy repeat phrases over and over again. With each release inside of him Ichigo felt more and more connected, like he was completing now, and he was losing a part of himself to make room for something newer and better.

Over again, Uryu repeated mantras:

“You’re mine, Ichigo.”

“You love me, Ichigo.”

“You are so very loved, Ichigo.”

“You love submitting to me, Ichigo.”

“You love being fucked by me, Ichigo.”

The words settled over Ichigo and felt so right, the more he heard them. All he could think about was the words Uryu was speaking and how true they all were, and how Uryu felt inside him. It was heaven, and Ichigo realized he never wanted it to end.

When Uryu finally got up, Ichigo found himself whining like a miserable animal, pleading for him to come back. The loss of touch and warmth made him feel dead, all his purpose removed.

“You are never, ever going to be able to have sex with anyone else,” Uryu crooned as he bent over, first with a cock cage, pressing it up against Ichigo’s own member and forcing it inside. The strap went up and around, latching onto the back and seeming to dig into Ichigo’s skin. He whimpered, feeling it become an object of permanence.

“As a matter of fact, you will never be able to come again, unless it is with me. I am your sex partner. You will be hornier than normal, but only when you are away from me due to sheer longing, and you won’t be able to satisfy it.”

This sounded concerning, but that meant that being with Uryu would make him feel better, and Ichigo liked that idea. Being with Uryu was so nice…

“Once you are with me, your horniness will go down to normal. But only then.” Uryu slid a plug up Ichigo’s ass, and he moaned. “This cage, as well as the plug, they will be permanent fixtures unless you are with me—unremovable. But you will not see them. You will not be able to see them. Feel them, yes, on occasion. But you won’t know they’re there.”

The swirls were worse than ever, but Ichigo liked that; it meant he didn’t have to think about the implications of anything Uryu had just told him or what it meant. When Uryu lowered himself down and tucked Ichigo in his warm, soft arms, Ichigo let himself drift away into nothingness. If only life was always like this.

Ichigo wasn’t exactly a stranger to horniness. He’d had embarrassing trips to the shower more than once, usually accompanied by the mental image of one Ishida Uryu affixed firmly in his mind.

This week, however, was in a different league altogether. The horniness seemed to follow him everywhere like a shadow, never dissipating fully, only waxing and waning from time to time. He tried the shower, many times, Uryu ful and clear in his mind’s eye, but it couldn’t be helped. Orgasm always eluded him, relief seeming to have become a thing of fiction, and since he had no one to help relieve himself with it quickly became infuriating as opposed to arousing.

Part of him wanted to go to Uryu, knocking on his door, but there was something inside him that knew not yet. They had their study session, but he wasn’t allowed to talk with Uryu outside of that. Naturally. It would have been quite absurd if he did. Something about quincies and shinigami and a third thing that Ichigo couldn’t quite remember. Not that it mattered, because it didn’t.

All that aside, by the end of the week Ichigo was getting pretty desperate, grinding and humping the edge of his bed and even the arm of the chair, once, when no one else was in the house. He wished that there was a guarantee that he could have sex with Uryu, just once, but study buddies in their case wasn’t a euphemism. They just…studied…

He couldn’t remember much of what had happened last week, but he knew it had been special, and that this week was going to be even better. Regardless of whatever it was that actually happened.

Ichigo had caught himself with strange green floaters a few times, and hearing faint strains of static in his ears, but he brushed that off as nothing. Everyone saw and heard weird things sometimes, right?

Being around Uryu was near agonizing. When he left to put a pot of tea on halfway through their studying, Ichigo’s horniness was at a new peak, and with only minimal guilt he slid over to the chair Uryu had been sitting in, still warm, and started grinding against the edge. It wasn’t enough, not even close, but he had to try, had to manage, and as he ground he heard the static in his ears grow so loud it was almost discernable into words, the green floaters dancing like water reflections in his whole frame of vision.

“I don’t even need to spike your tea this time,” Uryu mused as he walked back into the room. “A bit of a shame, but seeing you all aroused at the mere presence of me is so satsifying. Do you want to cut to the chase and go into my bedroom?”

“Yes,” Ichigo moaned, feeling drool trickle down his lip. He should have been disgusted by himself, but he couldn’t even bother caring.

Inside Uryu’s bedroom; only then did he come alive again.

“There. I need to clear a few things up tonight.” Uryu had a silver collar with blue etchings in it held in his hands like a trophy. “You will fall asleep tonight with this around your neck.”

“A…collar?” Ichigo didn’t understand. “But I don’t wanna wear a collar.”

“See…that’s the thing. By the time I’m done with you, you will.”

The hypnosis spirals in his eyes, his whole vision, were more than they had ever been before, blocking out everything and trapping Ichigo’s mind in a rut, depriving him of the ability to think clearly, to do anything else but listen as Uryu stroked him through his pants.

Uryu began to speak, and continued for what felt like Ichigo’s entire lifespan, the same phrases over and over again, burrowing so deep into his mind they would never come out.

“You belong to me, Kurosaki Ichigo.”

“You love me, only me, and have no care for anyone else in this world.”

“All you can ever do is submit to me.”

“Your purpose in life is to submit to me, Ishida Uryu.”

“You will obey every word I ever speak.”

“Submitting to me is your only purpose.”

“You are incapable of doing anything other than submitting to me.”

“The only way you can gain release is by submitting to my words.”

“I own you.”

“You are released and pleasured and aroused by obeying me.”

“All you love is to obey me.”

Uryu alternated his movements, pushing a plug in and out of his ass and strocking his member and tweaking Ichigo’s nipples, but the barrage of affirmations never ceased. They seemed to be almost doubled, being spoken from two places at once, but it was only ever Uryu. Always Uryu.

Ichigo’s beloved…

Ichigo’s master…

At the end, before they drifted off to sleep, Ichigo felt Uryu put the collar around his neck. He couldn’t remember having ever been upset about it. This meant that he belonged to Uryu, completely, and letting him dominate him by putting a collar with the words property of Ishida Uryu around his neck, clicking it shut permanently, was such an intense pleasure he came again, right then and there.

Ichigo’s head felt like it was constantly stuffed full of cotton balls. It was a sensation he felt that he should have hated, but in truth it was too close to bliss for him to care. Thinking almost seemed effortless, like some sort of previously omnipresent strain on his mind was now absent. This bliss was a package deal, however, and despite his sudden lack of mental friction Ichigo now went about his days with some sort of stabbing, lonely aching in his chest. There was a piece of him missing, and Ichigo knew more than anything that he’d never feel truly happy until he had it again. It reminded him of when he’d lost his powers, in a way, just as desperate and lonely.

He did have one companion that week, which was a buzzing sound in his ears that almost sounded like words if he focused hard enough. The voice speaking them was reminiscent of Uryu’s, vaguely having words like ‘obey’ and ‘love’ and ‘belong’ drift in on occasion. Maybe Ichigo was hallucinating it all, but then again maybe he wasn’t.

The whole week was a strange mix of happiness and suffering until friday morning when he got a call while he was getting dressed in his room.

The ID announced that it was ‘My Beloved.’ Sparse on details, and Ichigo didn’t remember being in a relationship, let alone one so serious, but his heart started hammering with excitement as he picked it up.

It was Uryu.

“Hello, my sweetheart.”

His voice—Ichigo felt his whole body clench, anticipating something, longing. “Yes?”

“I have something for you to do. An order for you to obey.”

Ichigo was feeling himself getting aroused again. It’d been happening a lot lately, but this was different. The lust was targeted and purposeful, now.

“I want you to go to school, march into the office and tell them you’re dropping out. That you have more important things in your life than school and they won’t be seeing you again. No one else is to know that you’ve dropped out, but this way it will be official. Do you understand, my love?”

“Yes.” Ichigo had to bite back his moan, the sound of Uryu’s voice and the feeling of his instructions settling deep into the recesses of his brain.

“And once you do that, you’re going to call me again, and finally be able to release yourself. How does that sound?”

“Amazing.” Ichigo barely noticed his hand drifting downwards. Uryu’s voice…Uryu ordering him around…the idea of obeying him felt so good.

“Excellent. I trust my beautiful, wonderful sweetheart to do it properly. We’ll talk again once you’re free.”

Ichigo walked down the hallways in a black hoodie and black sweatpants, turning heads everywhere at his lack of decorum. He barely noticed: the voices in his ear were louder, Uryu reminding him in dulcet tones about how much he loved to obey and how aroused it made him. His pants were just loose enough to hide the bulge that his plan gave him, and only the desperation to obey Uryu distracted him from how unbelievably horny he was.

With glee Ichigo burst through the door to the office, pushed past the secretary, desperate to get it over with as fast as possible so he could know that he’d obeyed Uryu and hear his voice again.

“Kurosaki Ichigo,” he bellowed at the principal, prying his eyes up from the desk with a surprised look. It quickly transitioned into scorn, however, as he took a better look at the delinquent in front of him.

“I’m quitting. I don’t want any part in your stupid fucking school anymore, got it? So fuck you, fuck the school, I’m leaving.”

Ichigo needed to wipe the drool away from the corner of his mouth as he strode back out, marvelling at how lustful and good he felt. I obeyed Uryu! I did the right thing! I’m good! The thoughts came one after another, blending in with the audio and making him only just aware of his surroundings, running free and home desperate beyond measure to just hear Uryu’s voice again, for real, to finally be allowed to release.

Isshin was in the clinic when Ichigo barreled through the door and up the steps to the shower, thankfully unaware of his son’s behaviour, and Ichigo was left to dial Uryu’s number and jerk himself off with more satisfaction than he’d ever had in his life.

The voices in his head were even more insistent, words becoming clearer, and while maybe it was just Ichigo’s imagination, the people in the world around him were beginning to blur slightly. It could have been a sign of madness or mental decline, but Ichigo didn’t care.

All he cared about was that evening, he was going over to Uryu’s. And if the phone call was anything to go by, the aching hole in his heart would finally be filled.

When Uryu opened the door, Ichigo didn’t even ask for permission before he barrelled into his arms, moaning and sobbing and inhaling the smell of him, of his hair and clothes and soul. He let himself be carried inside, laid gently and softly and with oh so much care onto Uryu’s bed. At some point he must have started crying, because his cheeks felt damp, and there were dark specks on Uryu’s clean, beautiful white shirt.

“I’m so sorry I ruined your shirt,” Ichigo babbled, unable to stop the outpouring of emotion. “It’s just—I missed you so much. Being away from you made me feel so empty inside, like I was dying, and seeing you again was like suddenly I came back to life from the dead and—”

“Shh, shh.” Uryu perched on the bed next to Ichigo, stroking his hair. “It’s okay. Being away from you makes me feel dead inside, too. I think you understand a bit more now, don’t you?”

“Understand what?” Ichigo’s brain was fuzzy again, staring into Uryu’s too perfect, too beautiful eyes and wishing that nothing else in the world existed.

“Why I need to do this to you.”

“Do what? I already love you, Uryu. I’m already yours. Anything you want, I’ll give, just say the word.”

“I know, sweetheart. But I need to make sure you’re locked in with us, so that we don’t have to endure this agony of feeling dead any longer. Waiting this long has been painful, but I need to take it slow.”

“I don’t know what it is that you did to me,” Ichigo started, hand finding Uryu’s and his mind nearly breaking with how warm it was, “but I’m glad you did it. Whatever my life was before this, it can’t have been—not like this. This feels so perfect.”

“I’m so glad you say that, sweetheart. I think so too.”

And then Uryu directly had sex with Ichigo for the first time (that he could remember), and it was so many things: not only as joyous as he knew it would have been, but also gentle and caring. Uryu was treating Ichigo like a prized heirloom in the best way, praising him the whole time, mixing with the sounds in his head and the whole world fading away so that it was just the two of them. His assurances were soft and kind, that their love was permanent and inseperable, as well as slightly more sexy reminders of how Ichigo lived and loved to obey him, burning so deep into his brain that they would never leave. Good. Ichigo liked that.

After the most bliss he’d ever had in his life, Ichigo laid there, almost glowing inside, as Uryu crouched over him holding something new.

“You’re so beautiful, Ichigo, every last piece of you, you know that? Your voice, it’s so gorgeous, it makes me think that the gods are real and trapped inside your vocal box.”

All the praise made Ichigo shiver, whine, and shed a tear for how much the man he loved, loved him back.

“But I love you so much. And the idea that other people, horrible undeserving other people, are hearing your voice makes me sick. They don’t deserve a single eyelash of you, not a whisper of your voice.”

Ichigo felt himself clench and shiver at the words. Uryu was going to make him even better again, wasn’t he?

“You’re going to remember our night together. Everything but this last part. Yet you won’t question it either. You’ll just accept it.”

Ichigo’s mind blurred blank for a moment, then came back as a fuzzy compliant mess.

“You’re my beautiful, obedient strawberry. And I want you to give up something for me. Because you love to obey me, live to obey me, your only purpose in life is me and making me happy.”

Ichigo mumbled something indistinct in assent, agreeing. To think that once his purpose had been rooted in…what was it now? He couldn’t remember anymore.

“No one else will ever hear your voice. Your voice is now reserved for me, only me, and to ensure that it stays that way, I have a little thing for you.” It was a pearly white object that Ichigo couldn’t figure out in his hazy, detached state; but since Uryu held it he assumed it must have been important.

“You will never be able to talk again unless it’s to me. This gag won’t prevent you from eating or drinking, merely from speaking. But no one else will see this gag…except for you. Every time when you look in the mirror, you’ll see its white surface in your mouth, and remember that you are not your own. Isn’t that wonderful? From now on, you’ll always be aware of the things I have put on you to bind you to me, without remembering how they got there. And they prove that you belong to me. Forever.”

Ichigo’s brain was too deep into fuzzy, hazy confusion to question it.

“Now, open wide, my beloved strawberry.”

Ichigo obeyed without even thinking, getting a shiver of pleasure from it quickly chased by a second as it slid into his mouth, a shaft going all the way back and pressing his tongue down, the front coming flush with his lips and keeping his teeth permanently parted. Seemingly satisfied—and didn’t that make Ichigo so happy, that he’d done something right—Uryu began rubbing the front, making it blend into the skin around Ichigo’s mouth with an icy cold sensation. It felt good, though, like Ichigo was being fixed in some strange way.

Uryu retired for the night soon after, and time in his warm arms was more than welcome in Ichigo’s mind.

He didn’t hear the last words as he drifted off, spoken by Uryu.

“They’ll all start fading away from your world, soon, and it will just be me and you left.”

Kurosaki Ichigo awoke from a strange dream he couldn’t quite recall, brain all fuzzy and the world around him a bit warped and out of shape. He felt exhausted, something gnawing away at his heart, and his whole body was so tired…so exhausted…

He opened his jaws in a wide yawn, but not a single sound came out.

At first Ichigo’s brain was too sleepy to take more than casual note of this, thinking it was just a little bit odd, but he hauled himself out of bed regardless. It was a Sunday, which meant he had nowhere to go…

Remembering his explosive dropping out, it occurred to Ichigo that there wouldn’t be school to go to at all anymore. Ichigo felt through his mind, expecting to feel some sort of regret, but there really wasn’t any. Uryu had wanted him to drop out, and he’d done so, and he could see no problem with that.

Instead the day stretched out before him, languid and unfilled, and he wasn’t sure what he was supposed to make of it. What he really craved was Uryu’s company, but something inside him knew he couldn’t go back. Not yet. That nagging voice might end up being the death of him, but he knew it had to be listened to. Maybe he could go for a walk, or read a book, or any one of those things. Come the next week he’d have to hide from Isshin about his current status and make himself scarce—not that he’d care, but as far as Ichigo was concerned he couldn’t be too certain.

Ichigo let himself languish in bed for longer, putting off getting up even when Yuzu called up to him. He thought he’d called back to tell her later, but no real sound came out, so maybe he was imagining all of it.

According to the bedside clock, it was almost eleven by the time he came to the conclusion that no amount of resting and napping would relieve the bone deep weariness inside him. With a groan and a sigh Ichigo rolled out of bed and started getting clothing, pulling out the most basic, sloppy outfit he could imagine and splaying it on his bed. Dressing nice didn’t matter if Uryu wasn’t there to see him, after all.

When Ichigo pulled off his clothes, he got a shock of his life to look down and find a cock cage strapped firmly across his hips. Sure, he and Uryu had gotten a bit frisky, but they hadn’t gone to those lengths, and Ichigo didn’t even remember it being there. Curiously, he went and touched it, feeling a tingle of horniness without even a slight promise of release.

The static in his ears that he had now accepted as a part of life grew louder, Uryu’s voice washing over him like a waterfall of reminders of how beautiful his life was, how wonderful obeying Uryu was, and Ichigo didn’t think to question any of the statements. They felt real and true to his mind at least. It was just so strange…Ichigo hadn’t thought he’d been into any of those bondage sorts of things before, but now seeing the cage there made him feel almost naughtily happy and aroused. He liked it, whatever that was going to mean for him.

Pulling up his pants jostled something else up his backside, both startling and deeply pleasuring. There was a plug there, too, and Ichigo felt his cheeks get warm. He tried to move it up and down just a couple times, but it mostly just managed to make him both hornier and further from release, as well as realize that the thing was already lodged so firmly it might as well have been one with his inner walls.

For some reason this realization turned Ichigo on even more, and he moaned.

Or at least tried to, because absolutely no sound came out. Ichigo tried to speak again, saying nonsense words, but the air was suffocatingly silent around him.

This concerned him more than the plug that had presumably fused with his body to become unremovable.

Ichigo reached up to his throat, opening his mouth to try and see what the matter was, and his fingers met something cold and hard that was definitely not flesh.

By now, with the seemingly permanent installation of sex toys on his downstairs, his inability to talk and some unidentified surface around his neck, Ichigo should have been concerned. Yet somehow he couldn’t bring himself to. He didn’t even entirely want to get dressed, but he wanted to investigate for himself in the mirror and he refused to walk around the house naked when his family was around.

The silence was eerie, however. Ichigo may have found all the other developments exciting, but this one was a bit harder to get used to.

Once fully clothed, Ichigo slipped out of his room and marched towards the bathroom, letting out a silent sigh of relief that no one was around. Even in this short span he could feel the plug lodged up inside him, stubbornly filling him all the way up and not moving even a hair. How it had managed to become one with his flesh he couldn’t quite imagine, but it felt good enough that he didn’t want to question it. His walk was definitely more of a slightly eroticised waddle, now, and he had just enough good sense to blush about it despite how much he liked it.

Not wanting to be interrupted, Ichigo pulled the bathroom door shut behind him with a click and turned to investigate himself in the mirror.

What he saw wasn’t what he’d expected, extremely alarming yet so very hot and arousing his mind short-circuited for a moment.

His mouth was gone. In its place was a smooth, bright pearly white surface that bumped out where his lips had once been, yet showed no signs that they had ever existed underneath. The edges blended so smoothly with his skin it was like a part of him, meant to be there.

Ichigo couldn’t believe it. He held his hand up and felt for it, but there really was no seam. Just cold stone and skin, blended strangely perfectly.

Fear spiked through him but only for a few instants: it was quickly replaced with pure bliss and arousal. To not speak…no one could hear him. Somehow he understood that was a good thing. That soon enough he wouldn’t even need to bother with such things.

When Ichigo’s fingers trailed down to the pretty white collar around his neck, blue writing embossed on it, satisfaction bloomed within him anew.

It read Property of Ishida Uryū.

Yes, that seemed right.

Ichigo made himself scarce enough that day that no one noticed his sudden muteness, but things didn’t remain that way forever. By breakfast the next morning Yuzu came running when she didn’t hear Ichigo’s confirmation that he was coming, and when she loomed in the doorway he noticed a change with neutral, mild surprise.

Yuzu had become translucent overnight. He could see the hallway through her, and her repeated questions sounded a little slurred. Ichigo nodded, assuming she must have been asking if he wanted breakfast, but if he wasn’t paying severe attention he could have missed it all.

Going downstairs proved his whole family had gained this quality seemingly overnight, and Ichigo found himself…not afraid, not caring, not feeling much of anything aside from the smallest shred of surprise. It was easy to tune them out and pretend they weren’t even there, to let their voices melt into sludge that meant nothing. Maybe they were concerned that Ichigo wasn’t speaking to them, but did it even really matter? Ichigo couldn’t see how it would.

He went for a walk, after that, looking around admiring the town, feeling some sort of strange nostalgia in the pit of his stomach, some realization that things were soon coming to an end. Walking with the plug even became easier, almost pleasing, a constant reminder of something he couldn’t quite remember. A few times he went to whistle something, only to raise his hand and feel the smooth surface that kept him silent.

This had brought panic at first, but after a couple of hours of aimless wandering, Ichigo felt only peace. This was right, wasn’t it? Other people wandering the streets were fading, becoming fainter each time he passed one, and it all felt so comforting. Something inside him knew that he had to wait for them to disappear entirely, and only then would he finally be allowed to go home.

With mild surprise he realized that when he thought home, it wasn’t Kurosaki Clinic. That was what he was supposed to think of as home, right? But now, in his heart, home had a new form: Ishida Uryu, his warm arms and soft tender smile, Ichigo’s whole world in one beautiful beloved package.

In a strange way he relished seeing the people of Karakura vanish before his eyes. He wanted home, now, realized it was everything, and tears were dripping slowly out of his eyes in a chain as he stood alone in the park, breeze rustling his hair, wanting to be loved. Someone did love him, but he had to wait. Each person fading was another click of the timer, one less minute he’d had to wait before he could be loved again, loved forever. Why did Uryu make him have to wait? Sure, Ichigo knew that the best things came in time, but that didn’t make it any more bearable, make the yearning and sadness and desire to be loved any less acute or painful.

People began vanishing as they walked past him, fading into silver mist and that evaporating into nothing. The voices trickled away from the world, leaving only the sound of the wind in the trees, birds, and cars rushing past outside.

Still Ichigo stood, now alone in a world, waiting to be loved and held.

He didn’t need to wait long. As if by some miracle, Uryu appeared in the park, lit with a halo of silver-blue light. His arms were slightly open, a soft smile on his face, and Ichigo didn’t even need to think for a heartbeat before barrelling into his arms, tears rising to sobs, whole soul finally receiving its other half.

Ishida Uryu was laying on his bed, holding the warm presence of the man he loved against his chest. They were both naked, heat of their two skins contrasting and making him feel alive in a way he hadn’t ever thought possible, or that he deserved. And maybe Uryu really didn’t deserve it after what he’d done to get here.

The problem was, he didn’t regret anything. Ichigo was there, asleep on top of him, delicate breathing and heartbeat resounding in every cell of Uryu’s body. He loved him, Ichigo couldn’t live without him, and Uryu had known a long time ago that a life without Ichigo was as good as death for him.

Was it selfish, to want this young man all for his own? Maybe. Uryu wasn’t an expert on morals. But after losing so many people, he hadn’t been able to assure that Ichigo would stay with him. At first, when he had started falling in love, he had been terrified. Beyond scared that Ichigo too would leave him, die or realize just how broken Uryu really was.

After that had come planning, and with it guilt. Buying brainwashing equipment from Urahara hadn’t been right, he’d known that much at the time, and every hour spent setting it all up had eaten him away.

But when Ichigo had been there, in his house and in his arms, the beautiful soft-hearted man he was, Uryu had stopped caring. He was happy, he was safe, and Ichigo was never going to receive anything other than the complete loving force of his heart. Where was the problem in that?

Overwhelmed with the knowledge that he finally had everything he wanted, was being loved so deeply, Uryu buried his face in Ichigo’s hair and started sobbing. It was so soft…the conditioner smell was a bit acrid, but he could change that. He’d bought special strawberry scented shampoo, just for Ichigo. He’d smell perfect, then. Excellent to cuddle with while Uryu did some sewing, perfect to kiss the top of his head. But for now, this would do.

Uryu was sobbing with so many emotions—relief, love, overwhelming belonging and disbelief—so loudly that he didn’t hear it when fists started hammering on the door.

Even if he had, he wouldn’t have answered.
