“Get in Megumi! Don’t be a baby!” You shouted, your voice piercing through the sound of the waves as you swam a bit farther from the shore to where Yuji and Nobara currently were.
“No,” he huffed, a grumpy look on his face as he stayed seated under the beach umbrella.
Megumi wasn’t a big fan of the beach but although he didn’t want to go, the thought of spending time with you and watching you enjoy yourself made him reluctantly go with you and the others.
The only thing he wouldn’t do was get in the water, it wasn’t like he was scared or anything but he just didn’t want to get wet at the moment.
You pouted as you began to swim back to the shore, telling the two who were also in the water with you that you’d be right back but they were too busy bickering and playing around that they probably didn’t even hear you.
You walked out the water, your wet feet pressing against the hot sand as you approached Megumi who seemed to be reading a book under the shade, typical.
He soon noticed your approach, closing the book he was reading seconds ago and placing it back into his beach bag. He looked at you, expecting you to speak up first since you normally did.
“Megumi come get in the water with us!” Your voice cutting through the silence as you looked down at him, your arms crossed.
“..do I have to?” He mumbled, his brows furrowing just slightly.
You immediately nodded, sitting next to him as you leaned into his ear, whispering, “if you don’t, then you won’t receive any kisses or cuddles for an entire week.” You shifted back as you stood up, wiggling your eyebrows, unable to hold back your giggles, “think carefully” you said with a hum as you began to walk back towards the water, not waiting for a response.
Megumi’s face turned red immediately, a worried look appearing on his face because he knew you would do it.
You had punished him with no kisses or cuddles for two days straight months ago, those two days were the worse days of his life so imagine not receiving any for a whole week!
You grinned widely, your arm finding its way to wrap around his, “I was lying anyways, I love cuddling with you and giving you kisses.”
Megumi couldn’t help but smile, a rare sight that only his close companions would see, his hand intertwining with yours.
“Aww look at Fushiguro being lovey dovey!” Yuji teased, causing Megumi to glare at him and attempt to go back to his usual stoicism but failing miserably.
Nobara laughed, “never become an actor Fushiguro” she said before she and Yuji went back to joking around in the water.
You placed a soft kiss on his cheek, causing his heart to feel all fuzzy and warm, as you jumped into the water, pulling him in with you.
None of your lives were perfect, but moments like these made Megumi’s life better.
