It was Valentines day. The walls were covered in pink and red hearts and cupids were hung from the ceiling. Everyone was ready to celebrate the day of love and giving out gifts to their loved ones!!Well Everyone except for Shrimpo.
Shrimpo stomped around the lobby amd crossed his arms as usual. Whenever someone said happy Valentines day he'd either say to them to either buzz off or that He hates the person or the holiday. He stomped around for no real reason except for the fact that he didn't want to see a certain toon. He was almost able to make through the day without seeing him untill-
"Oh, Hey Shrimpo! I don't know if you heard but I'm hosting a Valentines day show where you have to answer a few questions about your partner to see how well you know them and I wanna know if you're coming or not, even though most likely no one likes you romantically" Vee said as she whispered the last part. Shrimpo was stomping around before being stopped when Vee ran in front of him and asked him about the show. Shrimpo flinched back a bit before crossing his arms angrily before responding.
"GAH!-DON'T SCARE ME LIKE THAT I HATE IT!! AND WHAT DID YOU SAY? I HATE THAT YOU WHISPERED THE LAST PART!!" Shrimpo loudly responded back.
Vee rolled her eyes before responding again. Her tail happily flicking behind her.
"As I was saying, have you heard about the Valentines show that I'm hosting tonight? It's where I ask you questions about your partner and-"
Vee stopped talking and just stared off behind Shrimpo's back like something more interesting was going on before looking back at him with a smirk. It took only 3 seconds before Shrimpo started to get pissed.
"WHAT? SPEAK!! WHAT HAPPENED?!"
Shrimpo asked before slowly turning to find Finn happily waving and running down towards them.
"Oh hey guys, how are y'all are doing today?" Asked Finn. 'God his smile looked so cute-I MEAN STUPID!! HIS SMILE LOOKS SO STUPID TODAY WITH THAT MISSING TEETH OF HIS' Shrimpo mentally yelled to himself while subtly blushing that did not go unnoticed by Vee but he was lucky enough to not get teased about it.
"Oh hey Finn, I was just telling grumpy guy over here that later today I'll be hosting my Valentines day show to see how good you know your partner!!" Vee said while twirling her tail mic. Shrimpo Just mumbled something underneath his breath, probably about how stupid and dumb her game show will be. His tail flicking a bit.
"Oh, well then if you don't have a partner then maybe I could be yours Shrimpo!!" Finn happily suggested. His smile growing wider by the second revealing his missing tooth.
It took Shrimpo a few seconds to comprehend what was just said to him before shaking it off.
"F-FINE, BUT AS LONG AS YOU DON'T MAKE IT WEIRD THAN I'LL DO IT!! BUT JUST SO YOU KNOW I'M GONNA COMPLAIN ABOUT IT THE WHOLE TIME!!" Shrimpo quickly responded back. Even tho his voice was a bit loud and aggressive, his tail was wagging a bit. This of course went unnoticed by Finn but luckily didn't say anything and just took it as another sign of yes.
"OH. MY. COD! FOR REEL??" Finn happily said. Basically vibrating from joy. Before Shrimpo even got the chance to make some snarky comeback he was quickly swooped into a tight hug by Finn. Shrimpo could practically feel the warmth coming off of Finn's body and how fast his heart beat was going off per second.
Cod-GOD!! God he was gonna regret this decision later in the future isn't he...

And he sure did. The show was chaotic with all the clapping and the overlapping conversations that were going on with the other contestants that were doing the show as well.
The moment Vee stepped up on the stage, Shrimpo immediately regretted saying yes. Shrimpo stood next to the other contestants which were sprout, Shelly, and Goob on the right side of vee while on the left standing was Finn, scraps, looey, and Tisha.((Goob and scraps are here to see how well they know each other. NOT A SHIP!!))
"Hello ladies and gentlemen, thank you for for coming and let's a big welcome to our lovely contestants!!" Vee said enthusiastically while holding her tail mic. Everyone cheered for the competing contestants and they all gave their own hellos and waves towards the cheering crowd. Everyone except for Shrimpo who was too busy looking at Finn.
'Ugh...Why did I agree to this piece of trash of a Show. I could do better than this....by giving me the award because I'm better than this and probably because I know Finn the most-WAIT WHY SHOULD I CARE ABOUT HOW MUCH I CARE ABOUT HIS FISH KNOWING FACT BUTT?! HE'S A FISHING-AH I MEAN FRICKING LOSER!!!' Shrimpo mentally yelled at himself when he accidentally made a fish puns joke, maybe he should really stop hanging out with him even though he is the only one who's willing to hang out with him and don't really mind his random burst of anger.
Soon the show began and it started off with simple things that the other person doesn't even have to think about for a second like what is their favorite color or their favorite food or even their favorite hobbies to pass the time, stuff like that. But eventually the questions got a but more difficult with each passing answer like "What is your partners morning routine" or even like "What is a tick they do when they get nervous or upset?" And eventually-and yet surprisingly- Shrimpo and Finn managed to make it into the last rounds before soon running out of ideas and placed in third place.

After the show, toons began cleaning up and putting away the Valentines decorations that were hung up around the stage room. The contestants and the other toons that weren't helping out with the cleaning began walking back to their own rooms while chatting away.
Shrimpo and Finn were walking back to their own rooms. Shrimpo had his arms crossed and Finn was walking next to him with his arm behind his head. The walk was quiet besides the sound of their footsteps hitting the wooden floor. The two were walking close, closer than usual, to the point that the two began to blush a bit. Soon the two reached their own separate rooms. The two just stood by each until Shrimpo decided to end the silence.
"...WELL THAT GAME SUCKED. WE GOT THIRD PLACE. THAT GAME WAS TRASH!!!" Shouted Shrimpo. Finn looked over to him with a soft smile and opened his mouth a few times like he was struggling to speak before just eventually giving up and resting his hands by his side, tightly clenching them like he was building up the courage to do something.
"I MEAN IF I WAS ALONE I COULD'VE WON FIRST PLACE BECAUSE I'M BETTER THAN EVERYONE HERE!!" Continued Shrimpo. As he continued to rant about much better he would've done if he was competing with himself and how he would win the game all by himself, Finn was slowly inching closer and closer to him until...
"I MEAN IF I HOSTED THE GAME THEN I WOULD'VE AWARDED MYSELF THE PRIZE-"
Something soft
Warm
And light
Touched his cheek.
A KISS FROM FINN.
Shrimpo just stayed still with his eyes widened before slowly turning towards to the fish bowl. Finn stood still before slowly backing away with a deep blue blush across his face before soon running away to his own room.
"U-uh uh...BYEHOPEYOUHAVEAGOODNIGHTILOVE-UH I MEAN GOODNIGHT!!!" Finn yelled out while running away from embarrassment.
Shrimpo just stood in place before slowly raising a hand to his cheek. A red blush slowly appearing across his cheeks.
"TSK...stupid loser" Shrimpo mumbled to himself before slowly walking back to into his own room
