Work Text:

Minho is mad. He is furious. He doesn't recall being mad like this in so long, but now he is mad mad. It’s Christmas time, the 23rd of December to be more accurate, and of course he and his stupid husband went grocery shopping. Not only he and his stupid husband, but the entire city seemed to have the same idea, because it was all very, very crowded. That was not what made Minho mad, though. He loves grocery shopping.

For context, the Bang family had just landed in Korea to spend the holidays together with Chan, Minho, Jeongin and Minho’s parents. Their flight got delayed due to the weather, so they spent more time than expected at the airport. They seemed very tired after landing, so Chan picked them up at the airport, took them home, and then left with Minho and Jeongin for late grocery shopping. They had been so busy these days that they forgot to fill up the fridge with enough food for more than their little three-person family.

They were also supposed to have a long schedule prepared for today, like the whole Bang-Lee family and some friends going to the mall to see Santa Claus with Innie, but in reality, Minho hates the mall, and his parents are only driving from Gimpo tomorrow. So they changed the plans to leaving the Bangs to settle in at home and letting their friends take their son to see Santa Claus, while he and Chan dealt with the last end-of-year issues. That was not a bad idea, this way, Chan’s parents and siblings would have enough time to feel comfortable, and rest from the trip before anything else.

Another thing was a bad idea, which takes us back to Minho being mad. He left his husband alone for less than two minutes to go to another aisle in the grocery store, and when he comes back there is this random woman throwing heart eyes at him and standing waaaay closer than what is supposed to be usual for anyone in the middle of a supermarket. Minho is probably being carried away by his anger, they are not that close, but Chan seems unbothered by it anyway.

When he gets closer to the two, the alpha is more listening to the woman than talking, but Minho still doesn't like his posture. He likes it even less when he hears the female voice calling him ‘Chris’ and speaking in english. The only ones who call him that way, are either his family, their best friend Felix, or people from his workplace. He works in an international company, there's a lot of non-koreans there, so they basically only communicate in english. She must be from there. Minho doesn't recall her face or Chan mentioning anyone new besides the ones he already knows, so she must not be important, but jealous Minho is not rational at all.

“They don't have it here.” He tries to bring back his acting skills from second grade, when he played a tree in the holiday play (his mom says it was the best tree she had ever seen, so he must have some talent), and interrupts the conversation between the two as if he hadn’t notice he was disturbing them, and Chan immediately turns his attention to him. “Innie’s favorite, I mean!”

Talking about Innie, he is right there, tangled in Minho’s right leg. He walks just fine now, like a two-year-old-almost-three boy walks. He also talks and makes a lot of choices, like this one snack that he likes and is currently not accepting any other.

“Oh, hi there! That must be Jeongin!” the woman says enthusiastically, looking down at the kid. She does not look at Minho even for a second, which makes the omega angrier. If Chan doesn't seem to notice his husband's discontent, the little alpha does, because he isn’t happy at all about this strange woman talking to him. He quickly hides his face in Minho’s thigh. “I’m your father’s friend, you’re not gonna say hi?”

“He’s a little bit shy!” Chan says politely. That’s a lie. He isn’t shy at all, he’s probably the most outgoing kid he has ever seen, that actually worries the alpha a lot. There are a bunch of weirdos out there, so they need to be extra careful with a friendly kid like Jeongin. “Say hi, Innie!”

“Mama!” He just ignores his father and asks for Minho’s attention, raising his arms to be picked up.

Well, that’s another thing that changed about their family. Jeongin calls Minho ‘mama’ now. Chan had introduced him to an Australian cartoon that he used to loved as a kid, and even though Jeongin has limited screen time, he got obsessed with the story of that little wolf family and decided he wanted to call his appa that way because the little puppy in the show called their parents mama and daddy. They are both fine with it, and it warms the omega’s heart very much.

“Come on up.” Minho takes him immediately, struggling a little because his lower back hurts.

“Let me carry him,” Chan says, turning to take the kid, who refuses, burying his face into the omega's neck and hugging him even closer.

“That’s fine,” Minho shakes his head, throwing a sharp glance to his alpha. “He's just overwhelmed by the number of people,”

“He's such a cutie alpha, just like you said, Chris!” Why is she still speaking? Minho wonders. “He resembles you so much!”

“Oh, you think so?” Chan smiles awkwardly, running one hand to his nape. “Actually, I think he’s a perfect copy of Minho, but I’ll take it as a compliment.” He doesn’t want to make his coworker uncomfortable, but he’s starting to notice that his partner doesn’t look happy at all with the interaction that’s happening. Not only his partner, but also his little one, who’s complaining about something while keeping his face buried in his mama’s neck.

“He is in a really bad mood,” Minho interrupts the conversation before he has to hear anything else that would make him nauseated with anger. “Give me the keys, I’ll wait for you in the car, just pay for this stuff. We figured out how to do the rest afterwards.” That was not a question, and even if it was, Chan wouldn’t argue. They have had this system since they were dating, when they never discussed anything in public, they would agree on anything and everything, and later, at home, they would speak their minds alone. The alpha just takes the keys out of his pocket and places them in Minho's hand. “Nice to meet you,” Minho says (read: lies), staring at the unnamed female omega with a polite fake smile. “Merry Christmas to you and all your family.” That is, if she has one, because the way she was looking at his, she probably doesn’t.

And just like that, Minho leaves with Jeongin, not before raising his eyebrows almost like a threat to Chan, in two minutes, he dismisses the girl and heads to the long line at one of the cashiers.

“Are you feeling better, Innie?” the alpha asks when he arrives at the car, after leaving the groceries in the trunk. “Feeling calm?” He tries to be playful with his son in the back seat, but the kid doesn’t bother looking back at him. “What happened? Did you tell him off?” he whispers to Minho, who is in the passenger seat, the omega only shakes his head. “Is he mad at me?” Again, no words, Minho only shrugs. “Are you mad at me?”

Of course, the stupid alpha would ask that stupid question.

“What do you think?”

“I don’t know, baby. Are you?” He obviously knows. He knows Minho like the palm of his hand, and he is so transparent with Chan. He is mad, and the alpha knows it, but he kind of likes seeing his omega like this.

“Don’t play dumb.”

“I’m not playing dumb,” he smirks as he says, "Tell me what happened!”

“Start driving, Yongbok already called me twice, asking if we were on our way.”

“Baby, talk to me please. Santa will be at the mall until late at night, Felix can wait a few more minutes to take Innie there.” The kid finally looks at his daddy after hearing the combination of words he loves: Santa, mall, Felix and Innie.

“Hmmm 'anna see Santa,” he murmurs cutely.

“You will, baby! Yongbok will take you, didn’t he promise?” Jeongin nods quickly while Minho continues speaking in a soft tone. “Then why don’t you ask your daddy to start driving you to Bokkie’s house? He is waiting for you, didn’t he just tell you that on the phone?”

“Go daddy!” It came out of Innie's mouth almost like a growl.

“Wow, okay! Let 's go!” he says, starting the car. “He’s mad at me because you're mad at me right?” Chan asks Minho.

“He’s a loyal alpha to his mama, nothing like you!” he says the last part in a lower voice.

“Nothing like me? Exactly like me, you mean!” Maybe Minho didn’t say it quietly enough, but that’s fine, deep down he wanted Chan to hear it.

“Well, that was not what it looked like.”

“What do you mean?” the alpha says, hiding a laugh.

“Who was that woman?” Minho is so direct, and Chan loves that about him.

“Just a friend from work, love, I thought you heard her saying that.” He continues pretending to be innocent to irritate the omega.

“Oh, a friend? I thought I, Lee Minho, as your husband for so many years, knew all of your friends.”

“Bang Minho,” the alpha corrects. If he wants to tease his husband, he should be aware that he will be teased back. “You are right. She is not a friend, just a colleague.”

“Well, she seemed to want to be much more than that.”

“She's new at the marketing team, she’s just trying to fit in.”

“Trying to fit in... in your bed, by any chance?”

“Baby, you're just being jealous!”

“No, I recognize the look of an omega with nasty intentions towards my alpha,” he says, shaking his head, and Chan bites his lips to hide a satisfied smile. “Your son didn’t like her either,” Minho points, recalling the way the little alpha has been treating his daddy. “Right, Innie?”

“Smells bad,” he explains, “Only mama smells good!”

“You smell good too, baby!" Minho smiles at him.

“You’re right, son. Mama smells the best!” He sees Minho rolling his eyes in his peripheral vision, and Jeongin is back looking out the window, his favorite part of the ride. “As I said she works at the marketing team, so I don’t see her very often, there’s nothing you need to worry about.”

“Oh, so if she worked on your team I should be worrying about something, Bang Chan?”

“No, baby! Of course not! You are mixing up everything that I say.”

“I guess you need to be clearer!” Minho says.

“Clearer? You already know you’re everything that I want!”

“Do I?”

“Now you’re questioning my love?” Chan is almost shocked.

“I’m not!”

“What do you want me to say?”

“You know exactly what I want you to say,” the omega hisses, raising his eyebrows at Chan, who has just stopped at a red light, “Don’t You?”

“That I should ask the CEO to promote her from the marketing team to my team?” He’s back at teasing his omega.

“Don’t test me, Bang Chan!” Minho is the one who growls now.

“Mama?” Jeongin calls from the back seat after the omega’s scent becomes strong.

“We are almost there, baby!” He smiles at the kid.

“Mama okay?” he asks, always so cute and worried to his omega parent.

“Yes, baby! Mama is okay, your daddy is a pabo, that’s all,” he explains.

“Daddy pabo!” Jeongin repeats.

“Guilty,” The alpha raises his hands in a sign of surrender. “You like this pabo, though! You wanted him all to yourself, right?” He’s so bold.

“We're gonna leave Innie at Yongbok’s, and then I’ll S U C K your D I C K so bad, that’s what you want, right?” he teases back, spelling the words so Jeongin doesn’t understand. The alpha twitches in his seat, seeming shocked again, a different type of shock this time. “No more words, just drive. I already told Yongbok to wait downstairs.”

They arrive in less than five minutes, Felix is, in fact, waiting on the sidewalk in front of his apartment building. Minho is the one who gets out of the car, since Chan seems to have a problem in his pants. Felix doesn’t need a lot of instructions, he knows how to take care of Innie really well, but Minho gives a few anyway, like ‘don’t take your eyes off him, the mall will be crowded’ or ‘call me if you need anything’ and also instructions to his son like ‘behave’, ‘listen to Yongbok no matter what’ and ‘be a good boy’. That last one is unnecessary, he’s always a good boy. Felix and Jeongin only wave to Chan inside the car, because the couple claims to be in a hurry, and just like that, Minho is back in the passenger seat.

“I’m allowed to talk right now?” the alpha asks after waiting for his friend and their son to enter the building.

“It depends on what you want to say. Be wise.”

“I’m hard!”

“That’s not very wise.”

“It’s your fault!”

“That’s even less wise, Chan-ah!” The omega comes close, as if he’s checking the volume in his alpha’s pants. “I can’t believe you got all hard just from listening to me spell some words. What a shame.”

“Are you really gonna suck me off or were you just proving your point?” Chan asks impatiently and Minho pretends to think about it, “Grrr, don’t be such a teaser, you won okay? I’m backing off. I’m all yours.”

“What do you think about driving to the block over there,” he points to a direction, “There’s a bunch of buildings still under construction, and since it’s almost Christmas, there’s probably no one working, so I can suck your dick without worrying about someone passing on the sidewalk.” Chan just agrees, immediately checking the review mirror to see if he can get on the road. “Do the words make you hard as well, or is it just when I spell them?” Minho places his hand on Chan’s thigh, close to his crotch, but not quite there yet.

“Minho,” he whines.

“What, baby? I haven't done anything yet,” Minho plays innocent.

“You're such a freak. Can you wait, please?”

“I'm a little bit impatient, you know that!”

“It will take less than a minute,” Chan says, turning to the left, “Hmmph…” He holds back a moan, feeling Minho’s lazy hand trailing over his abs and back to his thigh.

In fact, a few seconds later, they park on an empty street, tinted windows completely up, and Minho doesn’t even bother to look around to make sure there’s no one nearby. He just lays his head on Chan’s shoulder, kissing his neck, and easily opens his jeans button and unzips his pants. The alpha seeks his lips for a kiss, but Minho pulls way and murmurs something as if saying his husband doesn’t deserve it.

“Baby… please!” He whines again, he’s suffering so much, poor Chan.

This might sound weird. Refusing a kiss when you’re about to put someone’s dick in your mouth can be quite controversial, but Minho’s number one kink is making Chan’s life difficult, it always has been. The alpha values kisses a lot. It’s probably one of his favorite things to do with Minho. He could kiss his husband for hours and hours and still not be satisfied, so even though he’s about to receive a blowjob, the refusal of a kiss really drives him insane.

The omega wastes no time, the next second he’s bending down to pull Chan’s hardened member out of his underwear. He lets out a small laugh before licking the tip and feeling the alpha tremble and sigh. Without much warning, his warm mouth is already enveloping the head of Chan’s dick while his hands roam over his thighs covered by his pants.

Chan still tries to remain quiet, biting his lips. One hand gripping the steering wheel tightly and the other resting on Minho’s back. The omega sucks him a little harder and hears the alpha moaning his name in a soft groan. He lets his tongue wander along its entire length, leaving it quite wet with saliva and pre-cun before abandoning it for a second.

“Is it good, Chan-ah?” Minho keeps his head down while asking in a sweet voice and innocent eyes, side by side with his dick, and this is the most sinful image he’s seen in recent times.

“It’s perfect, you’re perfect,” he responds quickly.

“Should I keep going?” he asks, holding the alpha’s dick close to his mouth.

“Yes, please.” What type of alpha is that, who whines all the time? The type of alpha who has Minho as his omega, that’s the right answer for that.

“Polite, my alpha is so polite, right, Channie?” To be honest, all Chan can do right now is nod. Minho’s voice vibrating right on his cock is actually making him mindless.

Minho does swallow him down, not too fast, because, again, his favorite hobby is teasing Chan, especially when his husband has tried to tease him first, and he is soooo good at it (at teasing and at blowing) and is so easy to drive Bang Chan crazy when you born as Lee Minho. His mouth is so warm and delicate around Chan's sensitive part, he knows exactly what to do and how to do it. He knows the perfect rhythm to control the moment and the sensations he wants Chan to feel. At some point, all the alpha can think is minho minho minho, no matter what you say to him, the answer will always be minho minho minho. He keeps whining and sighing, his head locked in the headrest, cause even if there's no one outside the car, he’s trying to stand still. He has some pride, or at least he thinks he does.

“Hyungie,” Minho says after letting his tongue swirl over Chan’s head. “Can I ask you something?”

“Anything.” He struggles to answer.

“That’s why you’ve been wearing a turtleneck to work? To hide your mark?” He raises his left hand to touch the alpha’s neck, where his bite is.

What kind of question is that? Chan thinks. Is that what’s crossing his omega’s mind while sucking his dick? That is not right at all.

“What? Of course not, oh my god, Minho.” The hand who was in Minho’s back is now cupping his face. They were not in the best position, but he manages to hold the omega’s jaw. “It was just cold, “ Minho raises his eyebrows, unimpressed. “By the way, everyone in the company knows I’m yours. I talk about you all the time and...”

“You’re what?” Minho is still playing innocent, as if he doesn’t know any of this. “Can you repeat, please?” He is still touching Chan’s cock slowly.

“I talk about you all the time?” The alpha seems confused.

“No, before that.”

“I’m yours?”

“Yep, that part, say it again.” Minho orders, ready to lick all of Chan’s length again. His hand is touching his abs, lightly scratching the skin under his shirt with his short nails.

“You’re a fucking possessive, you know that, right?” Minho pinches his waist, “I’m yours, baby, all yours– oh my god, you’re good at it,” he babbles the last words when his husband goes really down on his cock, he could feel all his throat for sure. He takes his hand off the wheel and grabs Minho’s hair, while his other hand slides down Minho’s back until he reaches his ass, trying to get inside his pants to touch his skin for real. He is going crazy, all the blood of his body must have rushed to his dick, because it’s all he can feel pulsating in Minho’s mouth. At that moment, they both hear a buzz, Minho’s phone vibrating somewhere on his seat. Somehow, Chan manages to grab it to check. “It’s Felix," he annouces.

Well, two words with the power of changing everything. Minho immediately forgets about Chan’s cock and gets up, taking the phone from his alpha’s hand.

“Is my son okay?” He answers the call, but his friend doesn’t respond for a moment (in reality, Minho only waited for half a second, so it was kind of impossible for Felix to say anything). “Yongbok, what happened?”

“Wow, slow down, hyung,” he laughs a little. “Nothing happened. Innie and I just wanted to ask you something.” Minho breathes a sign of relief.

“Oh, okay. Chan will talk to you, I’m a little busy.” He puts it on speaker and hands the phone to Chan without waiting for an answer. The alpha takes the phone, and Minho bends down again, turning his attention back to the forgotten hard cock out of his boxers.

“Hi Lix!” He sounds very weird, and he’s aware of it, but he’s trying his best.

“Hi hi, Chris, so…“ Felix starts, they can hear Innie's infant voice talking to Jisung in the background, so he is, in fact, okay. “We know today’s tuesday, but Sungie bought a lot of candies...”

“They're all Christmas-themed,” Jisung says from a little far from the phone, but they can still hear him.

“So we were wondering if Innie is allowed to eat some sugar today,” Yongbok's voice comes through again.

“Oh, okay,” he’s about to agree, but when he looks at Minho, who has the tip of his dick in his mouth, he is shaking his head, denying, “Hmmph,” Chan takes at least two breaths before continuing, “It’s a weekday. He can’t.”

“But it’s Christmas time,” that’s Jisung’s voice again. “Ask your daddy, Innie!”

Kwismas, daddy!” The little boy does exactly what his uncle told him to do.

“I’m afraid you can’t, baby!” Chan’s voice goes lower as his husband goes down on his dick.

“Okay, hyung!” Felix sounds understanding, respecting the way his friends decided to raise their son. “We can eat all that another day, on the weekend, right Innie?” he says a little louder so the kid can hear it. “We’re leaving for the mall in a few minutes, he will forget about this, hyung,” he adds more quietly, meant only for Chan (and Minho) to hear.

“No!” That’s Jisung’s voice again, almost screaming. “Call him on facetime, he needs to see Innie’s face right now, there’s no way he’ll say no to this angel’s face.” Minho’s eyes widen in shock, and Chan almost chokes with his own saliva.

“No!” Now Chan is the one screaming on the phone, “I mean, I can’t facetime right now,” he tries to explain, trying to sound calmer, but it’s kinda hard when you got a perfect warm mouth around your cock, “Look, Minho’s gonna kill me, but…” The younger lift his eyes to meet Chan’s. “He can eat some candy, not too much, okay? Maybe one or two.” Minho is pinching his waist again as Jisung and Jeongin celebrate on the phone.

“I’ll make sure to supervise them,” Felix says. “Thanks, I’m sorry to bother you. I’ll see you later, bye!” He ends the call.

“Minho’s gonna kill you?” the omega teases.

“I panicked, okay? Imagine if he actually facetimes us,” Chan says, squeezing Minho’s shoulder.

“You could maybe, just not answer the videocall.” He blinks ironically.

“I actually couldn’t think about anything but your mouth,” Chan reveals, and Minho is back at swallowing his head. Chan feels desperate to touch Minho. “Oh my god, you’re so hot, please let me fuck you here, baby!”

“One,” Minho starts, taking a break from Chan's dick. “We are not teenagers who fuck in the car. Two, there’s no space for us to do it comfortably. And three, you don’t deserve it. I’m being too nice with you already blowing you off, so talk less, okay? Just enjoy.”

“I am, I just want to make you feel good as well,” Chan murmurs. Minho’s mouth is heaven for him, and his whole body trembles. The omega spends a lot of time in the head because he likes it the most, one of his hands stroking at the base in a good rhythm. Chan is a mess, babbling things like ‘oh my’, ‘don’t stop’, and a lot of ‘baby’ in his desperate voice. “I’m close,” he warns Minho, who doesn't seem to care, but he does. A lot. He takes Chan’s hand and places it in his hair, giving him control of the rhythm for the first time.

Things don’t take long to come to an end, with Chan fucking Minho’s mouth after all the work the omega already did, the alpha comes in his mouth less than a minute later.

Minho swallows everything before sitting back at his original position (in the passenger seat, of course). Chan is all red, eyes closed and head resting, Minho holds him closer until he’s resting at his chest instead of the headrest.

“Let me make it up for you too,” the alpha says, gently squeezing Minho’s thigh.

“No need, I’m fine, hyung!”

“I really missed my parents, but I wish they hadn’t arrived yet, so I could take you home and fuck you all over the place,” he says, voice muffled by the proximity with Minho. “You better be ready, cause tonight, when everyone’s asleep, we will fuck quietly.”

“No, we’re not, in case you have forgotten, your siblings are sleeping in Jeongin’s room, so he will be sleeping with us for the next week.” Minho cut his wings.

“He loves his aunt and uncle. He can sleep with them just fine, they will let him play on their phones, he’s not gonna complain!”

“Does his aunt and uncle agree with that?” Minho asks, cupping Chan’s face to make them look into each other's eyes.

“They don’t need to. It’s my house, my rules,” he jokes.

“Don’t even start with this annoying older brother card,” he rolled his eyes.

“I really want to, though,” Chan says.

“Annoy your siblings?”

“Fuck you!”

“Do you?” Minho smirks

“Want to knot you,” he whispers in Minho’s ear, “Want to breed you.”

“Oh, now you wanna breed me? Like half an hour ago you weren’t with another omega, not even remember I existed.”

“Not true, I’m always thinking about you, love.” He tries to kiss Minho’s mouth, but the omega pushes him away. “Really, baby?”

“I still think you don’t deserve it!”

“What do I have to do to deserve it? I’ll do anything.” He’s always so bold until Minho puts him in his place.

“I’ll be waiting for tonight’s demonstration of how badly you want to breed me,” Minho says with their mouth really closed, but not touching.

“You already know how much I want to, my knot is only yours.”

“Is it?” He keeps teasing Chan, like he hasn’t literally come in his mouth a minute ago.

“I’m all yours, love! Don’t doubt that.”

“Good!” Minho does not kiss him, he pushes him away again and leans on the back seat to take a water bottle. It’s Jeongin’s and it’s supposed to be on his little backpack, but Felix and Jisung can manage to give him some water. He drinks half of it and hands Chan the rest. “Are you good to drive or you need five more minutes of recovery, old man?”

“Baby, I can’t go home to my parents looking like a mess,” he says, looking at himself in the review mirror. “I’m all red.”

“Like your parents don’t know what we do, they are aware that you’re a freak!”

“The concept of them knowing that we have sex is one thing, but them knowing that we just did something in the car is another…”

“Besides, you’re all pink anyway,” he laughs mischievously.

“Minho,” he scolds him.

“What? I’m talking about your skin,” Minho explains. “Anyway, I just want you to drive two blocks to that other grocery store so I can buy what is missing. You’ll stay in the car and recover, okay?”

“I’m not allowed to go grocery shopping anymore?”

“Nope!” Minho smirks again, with those cat-shaped eyes gleaming, and Chan just laughs, shaking his head. “Just drive!” He does, parking close to the entrance, and asks his omega again for a kiss. “I’ll think about it,” the omegas says, leaving the car. Chan keeps laughing incredulously as he watches his husband’s back while entering the store. Before actually going in, Minho turns around and catches him staring, walking over to the driver’s side, and Chan promptly rolls down the window.

“Were you checking my ass?” Minho asks.

“Yes,” Chan replies. “You felt bad and came back to give me my kiss?” the alpha asks, already pouting.

“I need your card,” Minho ignores him, holding his hand out as he waits for the card. Chan looks completely disappointed, but he still leans a little to grab his wallet from his pocket and take out the black card.

“Here, my luna,” he hands over the card. “Do you need anything else?”

“Yep, this,” he leans in quickly and kisses Chan’s lips, catching him by surprise. “Thank you, hyungie, I’ll be right back.”

It takes him 20 minutes to return with some bags. He places them on the back seat since Jeongin isn’t there, and Chan is already back to his normal state, scrolling on his phone. He drives calmly back home, finding his family already settled and getting everything ready for Minho’s parents, who will arrive the next day.

Chan’s mom got mad for two seconds because they came back without her grandson, but Minho explained that his favorite person in the world, beside his parents (Yongbok), had promised a while ago that he’d take him to see Santa Claus at the mall and they would be back soon.

Eventually, Jisung and Felix did bring Jeongin back, and he was all excited talking about his ride to the mall and everything that he saw. Thank God, Felix is a little obsessed with taking pictures, because he sent Minho every possible angle of Jeongin in the Santa’s house setup.

“Did you talk to Santa, sweetheart?” Minho asks gently, right after his friends leave the house, as they all sit in the living room to spend some time together with Chan’s family.

“I did! He was so nice!” He’s so happy that he even forgets he was mad with his daddy earlier, sitting on his lap on the couch, so he can have a better view of everyone.

“Did you ask him for any particular gifts, champ?” Chan’s dad asks, trying to find out if the gift he bought was enough.

“A baby sister, like Johnny and Lila in Wolf Family!”

That takes everyone by surprise, Minho goes pale, the alpha gets a coughing fit, Chan’s mom and dad share a little smile, while their siblings, though, burst into laughter.

“That's a great wish, Innie, but Santa cannot bring babies in his sack. Let’s stick with toys for now, okay?” Minho keeps his gentle voice as he talks with his son. The kid doesn't seem to understand all the commotion, but if his mama says so, he believes, because he’s a mama’s boy and Minho always knows better.

“You still want a bicycle and that fox plushie, right?” Chan asks quietly, so only his son and husband can hear. “Cause that was what we wrote in that letter we sent to the North Pole.”

“Yes, daddy,” he says jumping out of his lap, “Mama, wanna see the pictures again, please! Innie and Santa.”

“Here baby,” Minho gives him his phone, “Be careful, okay?”

“Mmkay!”

He shows the pictures to his grandparents again and again. At some point, after exchanging a few glances, Chan and Minho leave for the kitchen to get some water and catch their breath. It seems they need a little time to be ready for whatever this holiday season has in store for them.

“Mama, can we call Nanny Lee? I 'anna show Soondoongdori to my aunt!” Their little kid comes running into the kitchen with the phone in his hand, almost tripping, but Chan is quick enough to catch him.

I guess with a two-year-old-amost-three you never got some time to prepare for anything.
