Sprawled out upon his bed laid Jimin. His surroundings filled with rap music playing from Taehyung’s phone that rested in the middle of them. Beside him also laid his friend: who tried to mimic the rap that, unfortunately, spoke all in English.
It sounded pleasing to Jimin’s ears as he nodded his head along to the beat. His friend’s voice sounded so deep compared to the original and, in his opinion, sounded way nicer. Though when Taehyung stopped, he looked over towards him for an answer as to why he did so suddenly.
“Argh,” Taehyung grumbled and laughed afterwards. “This song is hard to rap to.”
At the same time, Jimin laughed. He wouldn’t have guessed that would be the reason as to why Taehyung stopped. “You were doing so good, TaeTae, sing another song.”
“No,” Instantly answered the other as he sat up from the bed and he grabbed his phone. “You know who sings better, right?”
“Me.” Jimin answered cheekily. His smile so wide that his eyes almost disappeared.
For a brief moment, Taehyung looked over towards him with a grin. “No, Jungkook from BTS, duh.”
Another laugh escaped from Jimin at the absurdity he found in that comment. “Sure, the great idol, Jungkook, a great singer, sure, yeah, okay, Tae.” he spoke in between fits of laughter. It took him at least a good few minutes before he finally calmed himself down. Well, enough for him to at least say, “You know I think he’s overrated, right?”
“Yeah, but it’s because you don’t like their music.” Taehyung defended, keeping his eyes onto his phone as he scrolled through it.
“No,” Jimin responded, the earlier laugh still lingering within his voice. “I like their music, at least some of it, but I don’t like Jungkook’s voice or personality.
“You heard of what he did, right?”
“Something about him yelling at his co-stars for whatever reason.” Taehyung lamely responded. “I’m sure he had a perfectly good reason for that.”
Jimin puffed out a laugh. “Yeah, that reason being a giant asshole, you didn’t look at the full article, did you?” he asked as he turned his head around, still not understanding why his friend couldn’t see it the same way he saw it.
“No and I don’t want to, Jiminnie,” Taehyung huffed as he tapped something on his phone. In that instant an unfamiliar song started playing and then that singing voice that Jimin really couldn’t stand. “Just let me listen to my favorite idol in peace!”
Hurriedly Jimin grabbed a nearby pillow and set it on top of his head to muffle out the music. It worked slightly, but not well enough since he still could hear it. Though it still felt better than nothing.
“I don’t understand why you like him so much,” Jimin thought aloud, his own voice muffled by the pillow on top of him. “He’s worse than that American singer, Justin whatever-his-last-name-is.”
“Excuse me, he’s my favorite singer, too.”
At that moment, Jimin had just about enough of his friend. So he took the pillow from his face, sat up, and threw it directly at Taehyung. It hit against his face with laughs uttering from their mouths afterwards. In the process, it had also caused the phone to fall out of his friend’s hand and onto the ground. The song immediately changed into a new one as it fell onto the carpet and Jimin silently cheered from that god awful song going away.
Taehyung jokingly gasped as he yelled, “How dare!”
In an instant, he took the pillow and threw it back to Jimin. The pillow hitting him with such force against the face, but he laughed anyway as it fell onto his lap. The laughs of them not dying out just yet.
“It’s not my fault you have bad taste in music.” Jimin mused as he set the pillow aside.
“Maybe it’s you who does.” Taehyung responded as he stuck out his tongue at him.

Finally, the moment had came for what they both waited for practically all day. Jimin and Taehyung cozied up on his bed again. His head rested comfortably against his friend’s shoulder as the laptop faced them both, airing a live stream coverage of the concert that they couldn’t attend.
During the hour long concert, Jimin found all of the performances to be quite amazing. Though it had to be a shame that he couldn’t actually be there. One reason being because of university and another being that he had no money to even travel anyways. So watching the livestream was the second best option to him.
After a while a pair of MCs started to present the next act. Taehyung shifted in his seat as he readjusted the laptop so he could see it better. An excited sound came out of him as he spoke, “BTS is coming up soon, Jiminnie.”
Jimin sighed, not really that enthused about it. “Hopefully they play a song with few singing parts from Jungkook.”
“Uh, that’s impossible.” Taehyung deadpanned though it soon broke as he smiled widely when the members came out on stage. He leaned back into the comfortable position as from before as he stared at the screen. “Besides, you can’t hate them too much if you have a bias. ”
In response, Jimin nuzzled his head closer and giggled from behind closed lips, “Yeah, well, Suga is cute, okay?” he paused for a moment before he whispered, “Besides, my bias is better than yours.”
As Taehyung almost laughed, he got interrupted by the performance that just started.
Their eyes were glued to the screen as the group performed just as good as they usually did. To Jimin’s dismay, however, the one that the cameraman really put focus on had been Jungkook. So he rarely got to see his favorite member, Suga. Though he sat through it patiently and without much complaining.
After a good amount of time, the performance ended along with the concert. They watched the end of the livestream so that they could see the idols who performed come all onto stage one last time. The confetti flew everywhere as the camera panned up on some of the groups. That of which showed mostly the members of BTS.
Finally it ended indicated by Taehyung quickly pulling his laptop closer to him. Jimin sat up and stretched out his limbs. So sore from having to sit in the same spot for a complete hour.
When he caught a glimpse of the browser that Taehyung looked at, he wondered what his friend been up to. Until he saw the familiar website of Twitter pop up.
“Isn’t too late for people to be on there?” Jimin jokingly asked as he sat back against his palms.
Taehyung’s gaze from the laptop’s screen didn’t falter. He clicked something on the screen and took that moment to respond, “Yeah, but I’m not tweeting, actually Seokjin hyung texted me earlier that after the concert BTS was going to do this thing where whoever retweets this,” he paused as he moved the cursor around the tweet he had up on the screen, “will win a chance to meet BTS.”
As Jimin looked more closely and read the tweet, his eyes widened. Though when a certain thought came up, he grimaced. “But, Jungkook’s gonna be there, too.”
“Then you can hang out with your future boyfriend, Suga, while I hang out with mine.” Taehyung teased, implying that Jungkook would be his future boyfriend.
Jimin laughed and slapped his friend on the back. “Okay, okay, and Rap Mon, too, oh and J-Hope, that would be so cool to hang out with them.”
The thought seemed to put them in a little daze of fantasies going wild within their heads.
Quickly Jimin rested his chin on Taehyung’s shoulder. His eyes scanning the screen and he saw how many retweets there were. “Did you retweet it, yet?”
“Yeah, but should we use your account and retweet again, just in case?” Taehyung asked, looking up at him.
“Yeah, just in case.”
✻ ✻ ✻
The squeaking of shoes and music playing echoed off the walls from the small dance studio as Jimin meticulously moved to a piece of choreography. His eyes focused on his own reflection from the large mirror in front of him, trying to pinpoint which moves were spot on and which ones weren’t.
After the full routine, the music stopped and thus his dancing stopped as well. In that moment, he heard the doors of the studio burst open with a familiar voice yelling out his name.
When he turned around, he laid eyes upon Taehyung: who came at him in a full run and, eventually, pounced onto him.
The two almost fell to the floor, but Jimin’s reflexes caught them just in time. Though now he had his friend spouting out gibberish in a fast paced tone inside his arms. It didn’t help when said friend couldn’t control his breathing from the mixture of talking so fast and the run from only seconds ago.
“TaeTae, talk slower, please,” Jimin pleaded as he pushed him away to arms length. His eyes searched for any signs of something bad on his friend’s face. “What happened?”
Taehyung took a deep breath, composing himself before nearly shouting, “We won, Jiminnie! We’re going to meet BTS!”
The moment he heard that, Jimin could’ve sworn his heart skipped several beats. Instantly, he pulled his friend into a hug. “I get to meet Suga?”
“Yeah.”
“And Rap Mon?”
“Yes, yes.”
“And also J-Hope?”
Twirling them both around, Taehyung exclaimed, “Of fucking course we are, Jiminnie. We won and I get to meet Jungkook, too!”
A squeal left Jimin’s mouth as he allowed his friend to twirl them around the dance floor. He couldn’t believe that this actually happened. This would make his whole entire week; actually, it may have made his whole entire year.
After a few minutes of twirling and squealing about the idea of them winning the contest, they had stopped. They sat down on the floor with their backs against the cool mirror with the remnants of a laughter dying out. Jimin still felt a little dizzy from the earlier twirl, but it could also be due to the surrealness of the situation.
“So,” Jimin began as he turned to look at the side of his friend’s face. “Tell me everything.”
“Well, I went on Twitter today and got a new message, you know I never get messages unless they’re from spambots or people asking me if I’m an idol, anyways, I got a message and--”
“Yeah, just tell me when we get to meet them,” Jimin interrupted as a giggle followed. “And, also, am I even allowed to come?”
Taehyung tilted his head upwards, staring up at the ceiling. He stayed like that in silence for a while which slowly started to concern Jimin. After another few seconds of that, he couldn’t help to ask: “TaeTae?”
“I can’t remember,” Taehyung finally spoke and got out his phone from his pants’ pocket. He stared at it as his thumb moved along the screen. Until finally he nodded, “Okay, yeah, next Saturday and I think he said that I could bring anyone, but I don’t think it matters since it’s not going to be filmed or broadcasted.”
Jimin let out a sigh and stared up at the ceiling. “That’s good.”
It only took a few minutes until the full realization of everything came pouring over Jimin and as soon as he realized it, he squealed as he crawled over towards Taehyung. His hands firmly placing themselves upon his friend’s shoulder as he smiled as big as he could.
“Next Saturday, we’re going to meet BTS!”
Taehyung’s boxy smile matched his own. “I know!”
“I can’t wait!”
✻ ✻ ✻
That morning proved to be even more hectic than Jimin could ever imagine. They had gotten up earlier than usual: well, Jimin had and he basically dragged Taehyung out of bed, reminding him of what the day meant for them. Soon after, they both took turns taking a shower and getting themselves ready to meet their idols. Though, unexpectedly, Taehyung was the only one ready to go.
Standing in front of the closet with both doors open, Jimin thoughtfully scanned the array of clothes. From t-shirts to sweaters and jackets as well as different types of jeans. All these clothes, yet he still didn’t know which kind of look he wanted.
“Cute boyish charm or sexy boy who’s hard to get but would still be down if you’re hot enough?” Jimin asked aloud, still trying to decide which one would be good.
From behind him, Taehyung groaned as he dropped his back onto the bed. “Why do you want to look sexy? I mean, I’d like to believe that I could also get with my favorite idol, but what if they aren’t even gay? So, what’s the point?”
As Jimin turned to look at his friend, he raised an eyebrow. “Point is: I want to look good for Suga. Even if he isn’t interested in me, I still want to be able to say “At least I tried.” ” he explained before turning back to look at his closet.
With a slight hum, he took out some articles of clothing that were draped over hangers. “I think I’ll go with sexy.”
Finally, he hurried off into the bathroom with the outfit in hand. Just a simple black V neck shirt and a red jacket. He quickly got out of his simple white undershirt and put the two items on. Since the jeans he already wore now matched the items well, he didn’t feel the need to change them.
When he came out of the bathroom, he stood at the doorway of his bedroom. He leaned against it and posed as sexily as he could. “Sexy?” he asked with a slight tilt of his head.
“Yeah, can we go now?” Taehyung asked, already trying to walk past him. “I don’t want to be late to meet my Jungkookie!”
“Alright, alright,” Jimin laughed and kicked himself off the place he just leaned against. “Let’s go.”
The two followed each other out of the apartment building. The sky above them a nice light shade of blue and the cold morning air greeted them while they walked side by side on the sidewalk. Jimin followed Taehyung’s lead since the latter knew where they should be going.
All he did was fantasize about everything that would soon happen.
Adrenaline pumped through him as he kept thinking about it. That the sidewalk they were on now lead them closer to meeting J-Hope, Rap Monster, and, of course, Suga. And, unfortunately, Jungkook as well, but he knew Taehyung would be easily captivated by him so he probably wouldn’t get to see him that much.
Suddenly, Taehyung knocked him out of his thoughts as he grabbed onto his hands. “Gahh, I’m so nervous.” he said with a smile, looking down at the GPS app on his phone.
Reassuringly, Jimin squeezed his friend’s hand. “Me too, but I’m actually more excited than anything. I can’t wait to hug them, feel them, see them, and talk to them.”
Taehyung broke eye contact with his phone to give him a knowing look. “Sure, because talking is the only thing that you want to do with Suga.”
With his free hand, Jimin slapped at his friend’s arm. “I’m not a pervert,” he defended, “Unlike you, Mr.I-didn’t-sleep-until-three-AM-because-I-kept-reading-Jungkook-imagine-if-he-were-your-boyfriend-scenarios.”
Taehyung bumped into him with a blush as he whined, “Stop.”
They both laughed afterwards and continued to walk for a few minutes longer. It grew quiet and the time passed significantly faster than Jimin expected. Before he knew it, the two of them had stopped as soon as they got close enough to the building.
The building itself was tall, but not so much so that it stood out to just anyone. It had a modern feel about it indicated by the large blue tinted glass windows and the unique shape of the building. He thought of it as obvious that BTS would be part of such a professional looking company, but just like any other idol group as well.
The more he looked at it, Jimin’s whole being sunk. Though nothing negative could be felt from it. He only felt small compared to how beautiful the building looked and how they were about to go inside.
“We’re here.” Taehyung spoke, the smile evident within his tone.
Jimin turned to look at him and found his friend’s grin staring at him. He smiled as well as he said, “Yeah.”
The inside of the building looked just as modern and professional as the outside. Though Jimin couldn’t really take the time to process his surroundings since a man walked towards them. He looked as if he could be one of the managers or an assistant. Though he couldn’t tell which one.
“Hello, welcome to BigHit Entertainment, congratulations on winning the private meetup, if you could, please follow me and I will lead you to where BTS is.” The man spoke gently, but also as professional as one of Jimin’s professors. And not even seconds afterwards, he had turned to start leading them to the group.
Jimin tucked both of his hands into his pockets as he followed closely behind Taehyung as they were lead by the man through corridors. Every step felt so dream like and he remembered every single time he wished upon this very moment to happen, thanking whoever out there who listened to his wishes for making this all possible for him.
After walking through the maze-like corridors, they had finally reached the doors of the dance studio. The man opened them up and revealed the insides of it. Something that Jimin had only saw through dance practice videos online and in pictures.
The walls were colored white and one side of the wall had the company’s logo plastered on it. It reminded him of any other dance studio with the same large mirror and the same polished, hard wood floors. Though, this one just happened to be BTS’ dance studio. Which made it even that more better.
It also gave him the vague thought of what it would be like to practice his own moves here or how he would love to dance alongside the members to any sort of choreography.
“Boys, these are the winners of the meetup contest,” the man announced, breaking Jimin out of his thoughts and into the fantasy-turned-reality.
Only the two members stood up from the ground, setting their half drunk water bottles aside before approaching him and Taehyung. They all looked as if they were in the middle of a well deserved break and Jimin couldn’t help to think of it as perfect timing or the opposite.
“Hi, we’re BTS, it’s nice to meet you,” the taller one, that Jimin knew solely as Rap Monster, spoke smoothly. “I’m Rap Mon, but you can call me Namjoon if you want.”
“Yeah, call me Hoseok, too.” J-Hope, or Hoseok, added from behind the taller one.
Shyly, Jimin looked over towards his friend in hopes he would do all the talking. Though he had nudge him with his elbow to get him out of that blank stare.
As Taehyung blinked out of it, he beamed at the two members. “My name is Taehyung and this is my friend, Jimin, we’re huge fans and it’s nice to meet you, too.”
After their introductions, the professional man walked away, leaving Jimin and Taehyung alone with the idols. And without any hesitation, Taehyung started to chat up the two members.
Jimin stood beside him as he faintly listened to his friend talking about how much he loved their music and praising them. He couldn’t really hear anything though as he stared at the person he actually came here to see, Suga.
The blond leaned against the wall cooly. His focus on the person beside him as he whispered something that Jimin couldn’t really hear due to the loud talking from Taehyung. Jimin couldn’t help to soak up the sight of him. He loved watching him. Whether right here in this moment or other times online in the form of fancams and other types of videos that focused around Suga. Jimin just couldn’t help to watch him.
“Oh,” Hoseok cooed as he put an arm around Jimin’s shoulder, nearly making him jump from the unfamiliar contact. “You like Yoongi, huh?”
For a few moments, Jimin blinked trying to process what just happened. His heart raced from the sudden question and the fact that J-Hope actually had his arm around him. He really couldn’t deal with any of this because how could all of this be possible.
“Uh, yeah, I like him, he’s one of my favorite members from BTS.” Jimin softly spoke, as he scratched at the side of his cheek.
“Then let’s go meet him, yeah?” Hoseok suggested, patting his back before guiding him over towards the other rapper. “Yoongi hyung, this guy wants to meet you.”
Jimin felt himself, literally, being pushed by Hoseok towards the idol. His heart grew louder within his chest as he watched Suga or, as Hoseok called him, Yoongi meet them half ways.
Yoongi’s hands were in his pockets and his face indifferent. Jimin couldn’t describe him anymore other than the word great and cool because that’s all he could think about. How surprisingly intricate and interesting his movements were. He thought that he would faint right then and there from the powerful presence of his favorite idol.
“Hi, I’m Suga, or you can call me Yoongi or whatever, it doesn’t matter.” Spoke the rapper, his voice the same as any other time he heard it through earphones. Though the fact that Jimin didn’t have earphones on and that this really happened in real life felt like the best thing in the world.
The introduction could be barely processed within his mind and he blankly stared at his favorite idol. The same one that, on many different occasions to Taehyung, he jokingly called his boyfriend.
Blinking, Jimin finally spoke, “I’m Jimin, hi.”
When he heard what he just said, he wanted to cringe at how lame it sounded. He couldn’t help to not function properly. How could anyone in this type of situation?
Slowly, he started to feel lightheaded and he really hoped that he wouldn’t faint right there in front of everyone.
Yoongi nodded and grinned. “Nice to meet you, Jimin.”
Soon Jimin’s heart raced, his mind also spun around dizzily and his legs gave out. He would’ve fallen if not for Hoseok’s quickly catching him.
The thought of the situation weighed heavily on his mind. That right here, in front of him, stood his favorite idol, Suga. Suga had spoken his name and talked to him. He actually got to talk to his favorite idol.
“Whoa, Jimin, are you okay?” Hoseok asked, still holding onto him.
“Yeah,” He responded, his voice a higher pitch than usual.
Quickly, Jimin composed himself and stood up on his own. He took several deep breaths to calm his wild insides before trying to re-talk to them. “I’m fine, I just can’t believe this is really happening,” he said, clearing his throat and continuing, “I really admire you Su-, I mean, Yoongi hyung, you really inspire me but since I can’t really rap I decided to take on singing and dancing. Your songs really made me want to pursue my own dreams.”
“Thank you, that really means alot to me to hear that.” Yoongi sincerely responded.
Jimin smiled as he continued to stare at his favorite rapper and idol. He wanted so bad to say “No, thank you.” because he felt as if Yoongi did so much more than he could ever do in return. Even when Hoseok jokingly said something beside him, all of his senses were on Yoongi. He looked so close, so real and he was. So much better than any high definition screen could give him. And he felt thankful for getting the chance to have this happen to him.
Until suddenly the perfect image had gotten ruined by arms snaking loosely around Yoongi’s neck. A familiar grinning face, that Jimin always had the displeasure of seeing, popped out from behind the rapper.
“Hi, I’m Jungkook, who’re you?”
Averting his gaze, Jimin responded. “I’m Jimin.”
The gaze from Jungkook were piercing through him. He could feel it. Whether it’d been bad or good, Jimin didn’t want any part of that. Though he wasn’t about to act rude about it though.
After all, it was different hating an idol that he never imagined getting the chance to meet and then finally standing face to face with that idol.
Suddenly, Hoseok patted him on the back. “Hey, Jiminnie, it’s alright if I call you that? You said that you danced, right?”
Jimin looked at Hoseok, his insides sinking. “Yeah, and yes, I do, but I’m not really-- I’m alright at it, but not that good.”
Before he could give a reason as to why him dancing would be a bad idea, Taehyung suddenly came towards them with Namjoon following behind.
“Of course he’s good, I watch him all the time! Not only that, but he’s great at singing,” Taehyung shouted. “Jiminnie, show them!”
“Ah, I don’t think--”
“You should.” Yoongi encouraged quickly.
“Yeah, show us,” Jungkook chimed in. “I wanna see how good you are.”
Nervously, Jimin looked around at the excited gleam in everyone’s eyes. His stomach churned at the thought of dancing so mediocrely in front of someone so professional as BTS. They were so good, Jimin should know, but he didn’t compare to how good they were.
Though, he felt himself cave into doing it. “Okay, I will.”
Instantly, they all gathered to the sidelines, leaving room for Jimin to dance. Taehyung had provided the music from his phone and Jimin, knowing his friend all too well, knew that he would put on a song that he could dance well to. Which so happened to be a song from BTS and that added to the nervousness he already felt.
As the song began, Jimin moved to the choreography he practiced for hours on end a few years back in promises of an audition. Despite not getting accepted into the company he auditioned for, he still remembered the routine by heart.
As the choreography came naturally to him, he heard the bouts of encouragement from the others. Well, they sounded mostly from Hoseok and Taehyung, but he also heard Namjoon encourage him as well. It made his heart flutter and also eased his nerves.
As the dance ended, Jimin posed. The song died out, replaced by everyone’s claps. He let out a breath he held in and the woozy feeling overcame him. Something that always happened every time he did this dance.
Though the drained feeling made him feel as if he were doing something right and it made it all worthwhile.
Breaking out of the pose, Jimin tried to regain his breath. He looked over to everyone clapping and smiled at the unexpected reaction he got. He fanned himself to cool off the sweat that formed and also to keep him from fainting again as he saw the standing ovations of Yoongi, Namjoon, Hoseok, and, also, Jungkook.
Jimin beamed. “Thank you.”
After that, the rest of their time spent with BTS had gone by fast. As soon as Jimin went to go receive feedback, he got endless praise from them. They went on to talk about dancing and also singing. Which lead to Namjoon and Yoongi showcasing their rap skills because they insisted that rapping was just as good as singing (and Jimin gave a loud applause from hearing it first hand; he may have squealed as well, too.)
They continued to have their fun by having a mini dance party. Jimin laughed as he saw Namjoon’s true dancing and Yoongi somehow dancing a lot better than him, but still not as good as they do in choreography. Though Jimin loved it nonetheless.
True to his word, Taehyung stuck on the sidelines near Jungkook. Jimin didn’t pay too much attention as he joked around with the other three members, enjoying his time spent with them.
Though, unfortunately, it all came to an end as the professional man--who Jimin still couldn’t figure out if he were the assistant or manager--came in to tell them that BTS needed to continue practicing and that they had to leave.
Hoseok’s arms brought Jimin into a hug. “Aww, and I was getting to like you, too!”
As Jimin laughed at the statement, Hoseok continued, “I really do hope we can meet again at a concert or a fan signing though.”
“Yeah, we always go to those whenever we can, but since we have uni, it’s hard.” Taehyung responded.
Hoseok nodded as he pulled himself off of Jimin. “Ahh, we’ll I’m glad we got to meet then.”
“Me too,” Namjoon chimed in. “You guys are really cool and, Jimin, you’re really talented.”
Yoongi stepped forward. “Yeah, if we could, we would’ve asked you to join BTS.”
That put a blush onto Jimin’s face and he looked down at his shoes, not helping the fluttery feelings inside of him.
“Yeah, well, soon Jiminnie will be an idol,” Taehyung reassured, patting Jimin on the back. “He’s working on it.”
Soon after they exchanged goodbyes and the manager reminding the members that they shouldn’t be giving out their numbers to just anyone, Jimin and Taehyung left the building.
It didn’t occur to Jimin how late it gotten as he stared up at the dark grey skies above him; not completely dark, but darker than when they first arrived here.
Taehyung squealed as they walked together through the same path from earlier. “That was so fun, I can’t believe I got to talk to Namjoon, I mean Rap Mon, and also Jungkook, too while you danced, you got to dance with J-Hope, I mean Hoseok.”
Jimin giggled as the memory came back to him, “Dancing with Hoseok and also in front of BTS was so fun, I still can’t believe it happened either.”
Bumping into him and giggling, Taehyung responded, “I think Hoseok likes us, he was clinging to you so much and he even held my hands a few times.”
“No,” Jimin dismissed, “We’re fans, so that’s why he did that. Idols do that all the time with fans.”
“I guess you’re right.”
The moment they got home, Jimin headed straight towards his bedroom. His mind and body exhausted as he got himself dressed in comfortable clothing and plopped himself onto his bed. He brought a pillow close to him and cuddled it.
The memories of everything flooding deep into his mind. Even the image of Yoongi applauding him and rapping in front of him. Still so vivid in his mind.
Soon enough, Jimin had fallen asleep with dreams of his idol crush. Though the sound of his phone buzzing from it’s place on his desk woke him up. He sat up and saw his phone light up the small area within the darkness.
He checked the time on his clock situated on the nightstand; one am.
As he got up from his bed, he went over to his desk to grab his phone. He looked at the bright screen shining in his face as he saw an unknown number displayed. He stared at it and rattled his brain to think of who would be trying to call him at this time of night.
It wasn’t as if he had many friends who may have recently changed their numbers. Nor did he just give out his number randomly to other people either.
That’s when his fanboy mind ran wild with a single thought. What if, he thought but he dismissed the idea as soon as it came, doubting himself of it. Though it still lingered in the back of his mind as his phone vibrated in his hand. Even after he gave rational ideas to prove that it wouldn’t be what he thought.
Yet, the single idea of it being true gave him plenty of reason to believe it.
Once the last few buzzes came, he felt pressured to think quickly. Until he finally decided to answer it.
His insides bubbled as he greeted, “Hello?”
As soon as he heard the caller’s voice on the line, his eyes widened.
