sophia teases the shit out of megan, until she can’t take it anymore.

Chapter 1: don’t think you’ve made it under my skin

Chapter Text

megan was tired.

they'd been at rehearsal for hours, learning the choreography of their newest song.

the squeak of their shoes on the floor, sweat dripping down her temples, the low hum of the air conditioning.. and of course, sophia.

sophia had been teasing her all night, sneaking small glances or touches here and there, knowing it drives megan crazy.

and god.

it does.

everyone knew megan had a thing for sophia, she didn't hide it. and fuck, sophia always thought megan was hot too.. her lips, her curves.. goddamnit she drooled at the thought of her.

"anddd break!" the instructor yelled, sighing softly. "go hydrate, i don't need anyone passing out."

megan dragged a hand across her face, pushing her damp hair back as she reached down and snagged her water bottle from the floor. her legs felt like jelly, but she willed them into motion, padding toward the small kitchen tucked into the studio of the studio.

as soon as she got there, she spotted manon and yoonchae huddled by the counter. manon had her chin propped on he hands, exhausted. while yoonchae as gently poking her cheek, teasing her.

"unnie, you look like you're melting." yoonchae said, giggling softly.

"i am melting." manon groaned, elbowing yoonchae in the stomach.

megan snorted, unscrewing her waterbottle.  "we all are, that choreo is gonna be the death of me."

"you'll live." manon responded. "you and sophia were practically dancing like you two were in your own music video."

megan nearly choked on her water. "w-what? we were not.."

"please," manon snorted, her accent curling around the words with theatrical elegance. "if you guys were alone i swear you would've started slow dancing."

yoonchae lifted her head, searching megan's face. "you're red.. why are you red?" she teased.

"i'm not red." megan said, her cheeks blooming with crimson.

manon exchanged a look with yoonchae, one of those silent, looks that said "she's hiding something." and megan's stomach dropped.

"she was staring at sophia's hips again.." yoonchae whispered loudly, as if she was delivering breaking news.

yoonchae gasped dramatically, raising her hand to her chest. "the betrayal! the scandal!"

megan groaned. "you guys are the worst".

manon patted her back. "we are the best, and we're right."

before megan could fire back, she heard footsteps from behind her. she didn't even need to turn around to know who it was, her body knew before her brain did.

sophia leaned against the doorframe, arms crossed, a lazy smile plastered across her face. "what are we talking about?"

manon and yoonchae straightened their poster like they'd been caught stealing.

"nothing!" they chimed in unison.

sophia's gaze panned to megan. soft. curious. amused even.

megan swallowed. "absolutely nothing."

sophia's smile widened just a bit. "mm. sure."

she walked past the others, close enough that megan felt the brush of her shoulder, warm, deliberate. her stomach dropped. sophia's voice dropped low, just for megan.

"you really were staring though."

megan froze.

yoonchae squeaked.

manon covered her mouth to stop from laughing.

sophia kept walking, a little bounce in her step, fully aware of the chaos she just caused.

by the time break ended, megan had barely recovered from sophia's hit and run flirt session. manon and yoonchae were snickering as they shuffled back into the studio, whispering like they were directing a nature documentary about megan's suffering.

megan shot them both a look. "if either of you says one word-"

"we won't." manon said sweetly.

"we don't need to." yoonchae said, equally sweet.

megan groaned.

the music kicked on again, low as the instructor reset the track. megan took her spot, rolling her shoulders out, trying to shake everything off.

but of course, sophia sauntered over at the perfect, most inconvenient moment, taking her position next to megan. her purfume hit first, something warm and floral, and megan's brain short circuited.

"relax" sophia murmured, without looking at her. "you're all stiff."

"i'm fine." megan whispered back, her body betraying her.

sophia nudged her gently. "you're not. you look like you're bracing for impact."

"i am bracing for impact."

sophia pretended to be confused. "from what?"

"you."

a single dimple appeared by sophia's mouth, dangerous, deadly. "oh really? am i that distracting?"

"yes." megan snapped before she could stop herself.

the music volume rose. the instructor clapped. "positions!"

sophia slid smoothly into her position, but instead of facing forward, she leaned in just a fraction and whispered. "just try to keep up with me."

megan barely had time to process that before the beat hit, the lights shifted, and they were moving.

halfway into the chorus, sophia pulled on of her signature moves, a spin paired with a side glance, and she aimed it directly at megan instead of the mirror. she nearly stumbled.

sophia caught her wrist to steady her, her grip warm. "careful." she breathed. "didn't mean to make you fall for me that literally."

megan's face went hot. "why are you like this?"

sophia smiled innocently. "talent."

when the instructor called another break,  megan exhaled shakily. sophia stretched, her arms above her head, bsck arching, and glanced at her.

"you're fun to tease, you know?" she said softly. "i like watching you pretend i don't get to you."

"you don't." megan lied immediately.

"mm." sophia stepped closer. "sure."

she reached up, slow, deliberate, and tucked a strand of hair behind megan's ear softly.

"that didn't get to you either right?"

megan froze.

"that's what i though."

the second break didn't feel like a break, just a countdown. megan barely made it to the mirror before sophia followed her like gravity itself.

megan grabbed a towel, patting her face, trying to ground herself.

"you're avoiding me." sophia said lightly from behind her.

"i'm not." megan lied.

sophia stepped into her reflection, standing close enough for megan to feel her breathe against her neck.

"you are." sophia said, lifting a brow. "it's cute."

megan turned. "you need to stop calling me cute."

"oh?" sophia's eyes glinted. "does it make you nervous?"

"no."

"it does.."

megan clenched her jaw. "sophia-"

sophia reached out, dragging her finger down megans arm. megan shivered.

"you're cherry red." she murmured.

"that's because we were dancing." megan muttered.

"mm no. that's because of me."

sophia's confidence should've been illegal.

megan stepped back, just one step, but sophia followed, until megan's back hit the the cold glass of the mirror. a shiver ran down her spine.

sophia placed her hand flat on the mirror, right next to megan's head, bot touching her, just close enough for megan to feel the warmth of her skin.

"relax." sophia teased. "i don't bite."

"you... say things like that on purpose."

"i do." she tilted her head, her gaze dropping to megan's lips for a split second, but it was long enough for megan to forget how to breath. "because you react every time."

"i don't-"

"you do." sophia whispered. "and then you flinch away like someone who got caught stealing candy from a baby."

megan's pulse hammered.

sophia leaned in, her mother near megan ear, her breath warm. "you don't have to hide it, you know?"

"i'm not hiding anything-" megan whispered, even though the tremor in her throat betrayed her.

sophia smirked, then pulled back far enough to meet megan's gaze. "then do me."

before megan could register what tha even meant, daniela's voice boomed across the studio. "HELLOOOO- oh my god? am i inturrupting something?"

sophia didn't move.

megan almost ascended to the angels above.

lara peeked out from behind daniela, eyes wide. "why are you guys standing like that?"

sophia, without looking away from megan said casually, "we were talking."

"mhm. that's one way to put it." daniela teased.

megan buried her face in her hands.

sophia just laughed and looked at her, the look that says i know exactly what im doing.

the studio finally emptied out, the lights humming softly as the last row dimmed. megan sat tiredly on the floor, stretching, but mostly recovering from the hell that sophia put her through all day.

her limbs ached, her brain ached, and she was... unfortunately horny.

she reached for her water, only to freeze when she saw a figure in the mirror behind her.

sophia.

of course.

"you're still here?" megan squeaked, far too high pitched for her liking.

sophia walked in slowly, swinging her bag around. "you didn't leave. so i didn't either."

megan scrambled upright as if she had just gotten electrocuted. "oh- uh okay.. cool. that's- cool."

sophia blinked. "relax, you look like i just threatened you."

"you kinda did." megan muttered.

sophia set her bag down. "how?"

"you exist."

sophia laughed. "that's new."

megan wished the floor would swallow her whole.

sophia stepped closer, not close enough to crowd her, but close enough that megan forgot all coherent thoughts. she leaned in slightly. "you've been jumpy all day."

"i have not." megan protested, her voice squeaking halfway through her sentence.

sophia smirked. "you've literally jumped when i asked for water earlier.."

"that's because you whispered it in my ear!"

"i used a normal voice. you were just sensitive."

"see, you're doing it again!" sophia said, eyes playful.

"i-" megan choked on air.

"you are." sophia poked her cheek gently. "cute."

megan slapped both of her hands over her face. "please stop calling me that!"

"no." sophia said, amused. "my new favorite hobby is watching you turn red."

"i'm not red!"

"you're matching you hoodie."

she definitely was matching her hoodie.

sophia crouched a little so she could see megan's eyes between her hands. "why are you hiding?"

"because you're- you're-"

sophia waited, eyebrows raised. "i'm...?"

megan sentence died almost as fast as danon did.

sophia smiled slowly, like she'd won something. "you don't have to say it. i know."

"you don't know anything." megan mumbled.

"sure i do." sophia leaned in just a touch,  close enough that megan felt her breathe. "i know you stare at my ass in the mirror when you think i'm not looking."

megan made a sound that was half gasp, half dying animal. "I- what.. NO-"

sophia bit her lip, holding back a laugh. "it's okay, it's quite flattering."

megan covered her face again. "please stop."

sophia tapped her knee lightly. "no, it's fun."

megan groaned, collapsing onto her back in the studio floor. "you are evil."

sophia laid down next to her, her hands behind her head, casual as ever. "probably. but just for you."

megan almost blacked out.

they lay there for a beat, the room quiet except for the low hum of the air conditioner and megan's racing heartbeat.

sophia turned her head, eyes warm and mischievous. "hey."

megan's jaw tightened. "what?"

"don't avoid me tomorrow."

"i'm not avoiding you!"

"you will." she grinned. "but i'll just chase you."

megan's soul physically left her body.

before she could answer, the door swung open behind them.

lara's voice echoed, "WE- oh my god? why are they laying on the floor like that?"

manon peaked in. "are they dead?"

sophia shot megan a look. "see you later cutie."

megan stayed on the floor for a full ten seconds, whispering to the ceiling. "i hate her."

she didn't hate her at all.
