Chapter Text
Whispers hovered in the air. Most remained unheard. Faint and silent as they were, that was most expected but some screamed loud and clear into each ear, begging to be lent the attention they forever longed for.
Tonight was one of those nights, restless, long and filled with unwanted dreadfull thoughts that manifested as either gentle or cruel invasive whisperers, laughters and chatters.
Dusekkar's flame burned faintly as he laid on his bed drenched in cold sweat if you will, ears covered with a desperate grasp. He always wished for peace, just for a moment so he could catch some sleep as those stacks of reports awaiting him the next morning must be taken care of and a cup of coffee won't lend him enough energy to last him the entirety of the day.
His shut eyes reopened, all hopes for tonight's rest gone. He got up and left the warmth of his blanket to wobble around the room no goal in mind, just walking senselessly most likely to calm himself down. Suddenly he heard a nock and this one sounded more or less realistic and alive, enough to distinguish it from the rest of the sounds assaulting his ears as realization struck that he had to answer the door.
"Just...Just give me a moment!"
Dussekar hurriedly put on his pumpkin and with it clumsily his robes, he has to look presentable atleast, it could be builderman, it could be Telamon...whoever it is he must appear his best nonetheless.
He ran to get the door, totally forgetting how to float. He opened it gently and slowly as he peaked into the empty space hoping to see a familiar face only to be met with...a demolitionist?
They stood quietly, hands clutched together waiting patiently. Their face a void of nothingness, well hidden by the shadows emitted by their hood and a black bandana neatly covering the lower half of their face. They wore a uniform, equally black and worn-out, giving him his first impression of this mystery guest.
Dusekkar opened the door fully, the hooded person jumped in their place, their composed self withering at the sight of the admin before them. They lifted their hands up yet no further motion came out of them.
As the seconds went by their hands started shaking and trembling, hesitantly moving a finger or two clearly nervous.
"In...in the midst of night you reached, there must be something you seek or perhaps you have a problem so bleak!"
Dusekkar spoke with his typical rhymes despite his head being so occupied he came up with this one and he was so proud.
The demolitionist shook their head, gathering all their courage to move both hands delicately in the air, their movement so meticulous regardless of their shakiness they left the mage stunned and...well embarrassed that he couldn't understand a thing.
"I...suspect you're speaking with signs although it's meaning my mind can't align,... my deepest apologies-"
The demolitionist clumsily pulled something out of their pocket, shiny it was reflecting light back in a beautiful display.
"You're offering me...a gift?"
The hooded figure nodded extending their hand to the mage so he could inspect the object himself.
It was a golden compass. Dusekkar grazed a finger over it's glass surface then turned the curious object backward admiring its antricacy.
"Are you...sure? This item must be cherished, if not, brought expensive!"
Again, the hooded figure nodded, without a word uttered and rather excitedly. The wings tugged neatly behind them relaxing and extending.
"Very well then...thank you very much...uhh can I get your name? I must know who this thoughtful robloxian infront of me must be, for I should praise he!...or they...or uhh she?"
"..."
"my deepest sincerest apologies, I'm very sorry I really-"
The demolitionist cut Dusekkar off with a simple bold act, their stressed stiff motions turned confident as they took his hand and dragged a gloved finger against the warm glowing surface that was Dusekkar's palm, spelling out something that would lingering in his head for long.

"Taph..? Did I get that right?"
The demolitionist or rather Taph let out a soft coo, releasing the other's hand and tugging theirs behind their back.
A smile spattered across Dusekkar's face, this confusing and unsuspecting situation he was in right now was quite amusing. Who thought anyone would ever come to seek him for anything that wasn't a favor let alone to offer him such a gift. He never got a gift from anyone before, that is, if you didn't count the countless pairs of socks he was given for Christmas...Socks...it's not like he didn't appreciate the gesture, like they say It's the thought that counts but let's be honest they were never as thoughtful and sincere.
"I shall keep you in mind, you're welcome to visit anytime...well if you wish to."
Taph was beaming with joy, their trembling came back in a more intense wave then before. They were excited, happy. No. Overjoyed!
A first step in the right direction he thought.
The demolitionist turned and waved goodbye, letting darkness swallow their figure as they walked away to God knows where.
"I hope to see you soon!"
The mage screamed as the sound of footsteps stilled into silence and for a moment he felt peace. His mind went quiet, maybe tonight wasn't all that hopeless? Maybe he can still get the rest he oh so longed for?
He closed the door behind him, making his way back to his room and letting his body sink into the comfort of his bed.
The invasive trails of thoughts now gone leaving one to remain curious before he fell into deep slumber.
Such a nice demolitionist...Maybe I could spot them at HQ if I payed enough attention?
Maybe give them something in return? Oh...I haven't given them my name! Do they know my name..already? Maybe... yeah I'm an admin, everyone knows my name-
Wait- how DID THEY EVEN GET MY ADDRESS IN THE FIRST PLACE!?
