Chapter Text
The storm raged on and the plane was taking the brunt force of it. Lilianna sat in the back of the small private plane as it continued to shake and rattle from the intense winds and hail. Without a warning, lightning struck the plane, causing one of the engines to be engulfed in flames.
“We’ve lost an engine, the plane’s going down!” The pilot yelled.
Lilianna scrambled to tighten her seatbelt while the plane descended faster and faster. Thoughts of her life flashed before her eyes as her knuckles turned white from holding onto the seat below her for dear life. This was it. This was how she died, she thought.
Within the maelstrom of thoughts inside her mind, she regretted ever coming to this god forsaken place. All she wanted to do was be the first to break the story of a no name village whose inhabitants were cut off from society. She wanted to learn their secrets and how they managed to survive for so long without any outside influence.
She didn’t have anyone to say goodbye to for she never quite had a family, unless you count the orphanage she was raised in. She had no one except a few colleagues and acquaintances who she doubted would even miss her after she was dead. Then suddenly, the plane crashed and Lilianna was knocked unconscious.
Some time had gone by, but she didn’t know how long when her eyes fluttered open for a brief moment. The plane lay in pieces as she still sat strapped to her seat. She gave a quick glance around and through the rain and hail she could make out a lone figure wearing a brimmed hat and dark sunglasses. She was fading again as her eyes closed, but before she would pass out, she heard snarls and howls coming from all directions.

When she awoke, she had a deep searing pain on her stomach and she tried to reach for it, but couldn’t due to the metal shackles on her wrists. Her head was spinning while she tried to open her eyes and as her eyes adjusted, her ears picked up an argument that was happening in front of her. A woman and a man were arguing over who gets to take the foreigner for their experiments.
“Oh please, as if a man-child like you could ever be successful with such an important duty!” The woman rang out.
“Shut the fuck up, Alcina. I’m more capable than you and your daughters. She’ll be eaten in a day’s time if the foreigner goes with you!” The man yelled back.
“Mother Miranda, please oh please, let me take her back to my house! We’ll have so much fun!” A high-pitched child-like voice pleaded.
“M-mother, if you permit me…”
“Oh shut it, Moreau!” The woman, man, and child-like voice all yelled in unison.
Lilianna finally found her vision and what she saw before her made her yelp out loud. A strangely tall noble woman, a hunchbacked like creature, a creepy doll that sat on a hooded figure’s lap, a woman in black robes with a golden mask, and a man with the same brimmed hat and dark sunglasses that she had seen before after the plane crash. They were all looking at her now curiously as the woman in black robes and a golden mask stepped forward and unfurled her black wings.
“That’s enough everyone, it seems our newest experiment is awake. Heisenberg, you will take her and keep track of her progress. This is my final decision.” The winged woman said aloud.
“But Mother Miranda, if you’d just hear me out…” The taller woman began, but the woman with the wings fluttered them violently as if to shut the other woman up and it worked.
The man Lilianna saw before, during the plane crash, stood and yanked a big metal hammer over his shoulder before walking up to Lilianna and grinning broadly. Before she could say anything to him, she was passed out again due to the immense pain coming from her head and stomach area.
