Her friends managed to rope her to join a mixer with random boys from an all boys’ school but she soon realizes that no one compares to her brother, Caleb.
“He is the best cook, gives the best advice, he’s so smart, kind, cool and everyone loves him. He sets a certain standard in her mind for the kind of man that she wants but nobody does it like him. Not that she’ll tell him any of this, especially because it’ll get into that big dummy head of his and it’ll be insufferable to bear. But that’s all he is, her big brother. All that goodness in him only for one day to be enjoyed by some other girl instead of her. The thought of it makes her chest ache.”
