Work Text:

The birds were chirping, the sun was shining, and the sky was clear of gloomy clouds. Bison stretched his naked body after a good night's rest. He carefully pried the hand on his waist, not wanting to disturb the sleeping owner.

Still sleeping soundly, the owner grumbled and tightened his grip on Bison’s waist. The younger man chuckled as he patted the other’s messy hair, “Kant, I need to pee.” Only then did the sleeping figure loosen his grip, and continued sleeping.

Before going to the bathroom, Bison took one pair of new underwear and pants to wear while stealing some of his boyfriend’s clothes. Since the older man's body was much bigger than his, the clothes fitted Bison like some oversized shirt.

Only then did he go to the bathroom. His first agenda was, of course, to pee. And since he was already there, naked, he went and took a shower as well. Kant cleaned him properly last night after having sex, but a good shower to start the day always feels good after a good rest.

As Bison wore his chosen necklace for the day, he double checked his look for the day until an arm circled his waist and a head nuzzled on his shoulder. “Where are you going?” Kant mumbled, his sleepiness still evident.

Bison couldn’t help but smile at his boyfriend’s cuteness. “Last time, you said you liked that sweet bread I gave you. I’m going out to buy some for your snacks later.” He said with a warm smile as he slowly patted his boyfriend’s head.

Kant didn’t move for a second, still nuzzling his head on Bison’s shoulder. Before raising his head, and placing a kiss on Bison’s temple. “You can still go there later, come back to bed. I still want to hug you.” The older man said as he lowered back to Bison’s shoulder and inhaled his boyfriend’s scent.

Seeing his antics, Bison chuckled and kissed his boyfriend’s head. “I can’t. Apparently, they only sell it in the morning. I have to go now if I want to buy you some.”

Kant tightened his hug on Bison, “My penguin keeps spoiling me. I might become spoiled if you keep doing this.” He said with his sleepy voice, as he kept showering Bison’s shoulder with light kisses.

“Enough~~” Bison with a smile as he leads his sleepy boyfriend back to bed. “Get more sleep. When I woke up around 4 AM, you were still awake.” He said as he tucked Kant back to bed, “If there is still some time after I come back, I’ll snuggle with you till you're satisfied. Ok?”

Kant slowly nodded before puckering his lips, signaling he wants a kiss. Bison couldn’t help but roll his eyes, yet he still leaned down to grant his sleepy boyfriend’s wish. The kiss started off as a light, until one of them decided to deepen it and turned the warm kiss into a full blown make out session.
Bison was still unsatiated and wanted to keep kissing but he had to go. So he pulled back and softly teased, “Your breath stinks.” Kant smiled back at him, “But you still like kissing me regardless.”

Bison chuckled, “Yes, yes, yes, go to sleep. I’ll get going now.” Kant nodded and softly muttered, “Take care.”

The last thing Kant was able to remember was Bison giving him a light kiss on the forehead before falling back to deep sleep.

Bison wasn’t really expecting to go grocery shopping this early on. But on his way to the bakery, he noticed there was a newly opened store nearby, so he checked it out. Leading to his current predicament of having one full bag of items, and going back to their house past 9 AM.

As he walked to their house, he noticed a group of people standing and blocking their front gate.

Bison stood for a couple of seconds, hoping they would notice him and get out of the way, but was ignored. So he had no choice but to clear his throat and said, “Yes?”

Finally realizing they were other people, the group looked at him. Bison looked at them and looked at the gate, “Sorry, but you're blocking our front gate.” He pointed with his head as he told them off.

“Oh! Sorry…” One of the girls in the group spoke, and signaled the others to move aside. “Do you guys have a tattoo appointment?” Bison spoke as he whipped out his keys from his pocket. He already noticed that they might’ve been clients since the moment he laid eyes on them. Most of them were covered in tattoos and one of them had their phone open to a SMS message.

He also noticed that three of the people in the group had a confused look on their face as he whipped his keys out and unlocked the gate. The girl, named Lyre, took half a second before replying, “Ah! Yes, we have a 10 AM appointment.” She said as she signaled her friend to show the appointment message.

Bison didn’t really have to look at it, he already noticed and heard their chatter earlier, but for formality's sake, gave it a quick glance. After “confirming” the message, Bison opened the gate’s door and moved aside. “Come in, then.”

The group of 5, 3 girls and 2 boys, entered after Bison’s invitation. It was quiet as they waited for Bison to close the gates door, and for him to take the lead. But as they walked to the stairs, one of the boys opened a conversation, “Are you a new assistant of Khun Kant? I’ve never seen you before.”

Bison smiled and answered back, “Not really.”

Bison’s answer only further confused the group, while Bison mentally sighed, “What’s my connection here gotta do with any of you?”

The boy continued to ask, “Then, are you new?”. Bison answered, “I’m not really new. I’ve been here for 7 years.”

Bison continued as he opened the sliding door, “You guys must’ve never met me cause I either was working or was away.” Bison noticed on his peripheral that the lights on the living room were open, which means that Kant was already awake.

As Bison entered, he didn’t close the door and just allowed the other to enter. He went to the kitchen to place his groceries as he told them to take a seat, “Wait here, I’m gonna call him.”

As Bison went to find Kant, Lyre immediately looked at her friends. She whispered, “Who do you think that guy was?” She was a fan of Kant as she saw his works online, luckily, her friends liked to get tattoos so she would always accompany them to glimpse at Kant as he worked. It’s been two years since she has become his fan and not once have she ever seen the younger man.

“Maybe his cousin?”, one of her female friends named Marie suggested.
“A friend?”, another friend, named Sida, guessed.
“Maybe he's really just an assistant and was just trolling us earlier.” Josh, the person who tried to strike a conversation with Bison earlier.
“No, All of you are wrong.” Xane, the other boy whispered. “I’ve told you before that I’ve felt a strong gayness from Kant. That cute boy must be his-”

Before he can even finish, Lyre hits him on the head. “Stop it! You're not helping, how many times do I have to tell you, P’Kant isn’t GAY!”

Xane rubbed his aching head and pouted, “Hey! How can you say a hot guy like him is not gay?”

Lyre looked him up and down, “Because you're only calling him gay cause you want him to go to you and not me.”

Xane rolled his eyes, “Anyways, who do you think he was?”.

“Doesn’t P’Kant have a younger brother?” Lyre said as she tries to be a detective. “I’ve heard online say that he has a younger brother, that guy’s cute. Maybe that’s his brother!”

Her friends thought that her line of thought could be the most plausible.

“That aside, are you prepared with how you will be…” Sida asked as she gave her dear friend a meaningful glance.

“Of course!” Lyre said as she leaned over revealing her breast, exuding sex appeal. “Did you really think I would wear something with so much sex appeal for nothing?”. That’s her agenda for today, to seduce Kant and be his girlfriend. That’s why she scheduled an appointment today for herself, not only because she wants to get her first tattoo but her first boyfriend as well.

As they speak about their plans, her beloved “future-boyfriend” Kant is in his bed sulking with his real boyfriend, Bison on his lap. “You told me, you will get back home early.” Kant said with a pout, he didn’t really mind but anything just to be able to kiss his boyfriend. Bison easily saw through it and coaxed Kant as if he was coaxing a child, “Oho, is my poor baby disappointed?” Bison pecked his pouty lips, “Sorry, I forgot. Can P’Kant forgive N’Bison?” Bison said with a baby tone as he tried to conceal his smile.

After seeing his boy act cute, Kant’s imaginary disappointment has long dissipated. He smiled as he sniffed Bison’s head that was nuzzled on his neck, “You have to make it up to me later then.” he said softly. Bison smiled and just nodded as he hugged him.

After a few minutes the both of them finally remembered the clients in the living room. They fixed their appearance and went to meet the clients. Kant went first and greeted them while Bison went to the kitchen to store the grocery items he had both.

“Please take a seat” Kant signaled as he double checked his equipment, then sat on his chair. Placing his hands on his thighs, he looked at the client sitting on his tattoo chair, “The design that we will be going for today was the one that was decided on last time, correct?”. Lyre gave a shy smile and spoke with her most coquettish voice, “Yes, P’Kant.”

Kant ignored her weird tone and nodded, before rolling his chair over to get his ipad and the printed version of the design.

“Let’s see,” He said, moving closer to her just to make sure that the design was what she truly wanted. “You said you wanted a flower with vines around it and a butterfly on top. Here is the final design that was chosen last time.” Kant handed over the printed version, avoiding making contact but Lyre, who had other plans, ‘accidentally’ touched his fingers with a very obvious linger.

Again, Kant decided to ignore her weird advances to give her some face and secretly looked at Bison who was at the kitchen counter. Of course, his ex-assassin of a boyfriend already caught on with what she was trying to do since the beginning. Bison is a man who could see the slightest changes in a seemingly perfect place, he saw everything that was happening in that corner even when he acted preoccupied by the groceries.

He was ignoring it to give the girl some face, and because he also trusted his boyfriend’s decision. If Kant decides to ignore it, then he will also try to ignore it.

Not realizing Kant was ignoring her advances, Lyre spoke “Oh! Sorry P’Kant. I didn’t mean to touch you.” Her tone was bashful to the point of ear bleeding. Her friends were snickering and giggling as they heard her from the couch. Bison gave them a quick look, a look they missed, before side eyeing Kant.

He was getting impatient with this woman’s antics. If he gets pissed, he will put that bitch into her place.

Kant obviously noticed and gave a dry cough. Not getting the hint, Lyre spoke worriedly, “P’Kant are you sick?” she reached over for the cup of water Kant placed in the corner for his clients, “Here drink this, it’ll wet your throat for a bit.”

Kant raised a hand and shook his head, “No, it’s fine. I merely…choke on my saliva. Let us get started.” Lyre smiled and laid on the tattoo bed, she intentionally hiked her dress up which went over her knees.

The tattoo was gonna be placed on her upper arm, just below her shoulder point. When she was watching some of Kant’s videos, she noticed that he had a tattoo on the very same spot, so she wanted it placed there.

Before starting, she said, “I’ve heard that P’Kant has a tattoo on this very spot. So I wanted to match with you.”

Kant froze, “I’m sorry, What?”. Kant immediately turned off his tattoo pen and looked at her seriously, “I wanted to get the tattoo so that we can have matching tattoos in that place, did I say something wrong?” Lyre looked at him innocently but deep down she was confused.

“Forgive me but I will be blunt, Are you trying to do this to pursue me? Or atleast get my attention?” Kant spoke slowly as he slowly took off his glasses. “Uhm…Yes? Is there a problem? You're single and I am single, what’s the matter of me pursuing you?” Lyre looked at him more confused, reasoning with him.

Her friend’s giggling has long stopped and their smiles vanished. Now whispering and frowning with the sudden shift in atmosphere. Bison smiled inwardly.

“And may I ask where did you get the idea that I was single?” Kant spoke as he rolled his chair to his desk, trying to widen the space between them. “Online? There was never any relationship status on your page, not to mention many other clients said you were single –”

“But I never stated I was single, have I?” Kant calmly said as he stood up and leaned on his desk. “Ms. Lyre, please fix your clothes but I apologize as I won’t be able to do your commission. I will send you back your down payment immediately.”

“Huh? Wait! Does this mean you're not…” Lyre looked at his as she quickly sat up from his tattoo chair. “I’m not single. Ms. Lyre, I am sorry to lead you on to have you believe that I was single, I never was.” Kant started slowly, he wasn’t to blame with her having wild imaginations but he will be a jerk if he does.

“Not to mention, I have never had any sexual desires with women. I like men.” Lyre slowly fixed her clothes, keeping her head down after realizing how much of a fool she had been. Kant reached over on his desk to take some tissue and handed it to her.

“And the main reason why I cannot do your commission is after learning your reason behind it…I just simply can’t.” Kant looked at her gently, “That tattoo was something I deeply cherish in my heart. That tattoo was designed and etched by my boyfriend before a long separation between us.”

Bison, who was listening from the kitchen, paused and looked at Kant from behind. A smile blooming from his face.

Lyre looked at him, at a loss for words. “Tattoos are symbols that are forever etched in a person’s body. It will be best if they are the most meaningful to the owner, so I simply cannot do your request.”

Lyre took the tissue Kant was offering and stood up, fixing her dress and self one last time. She walked to her friends, who quickly stood up to greet and support her. Kant walked out of his studio and looked at Bison, while Bison looked at them and most specifically the girl.

Lyre and her friends took their belongings as Kant opened the door and escorted them outside. “You don’t have to return the down payment, I still want a tattoo but for now let us reschedule.” Lyre said as she looked at Kant, “Let me rethink first, what I truly want.”

Kant smiled and nodded. “Also…you said earlier that you and your boyfriend… Did you two break up?”.

“To answer your question, we did not.” All of them looked at the sudden voice that was inserted in the conversation. It was Bison with his arms crossed walking towards them, “We are still together, even after separating for a long time.”

Lyre looked at him, finally piecing together that information in front of her. Her face immediately went red, “I-I am sorry for doing such shameful acts to your boyfriend right in front of you.” She immediately placed her hands together and repeatedly said sorry to Bison.

“If you put it that way, it seems like you and my boyfriend did something debaucherous. It’s fine, you didn’t know.” Bison lazily waved her off, “Besides, he already talked to you. I believe that’s enough.” Bison looked at Kant who smiled at him and wrapped a hand on his waist.

“Then, we will be leaving now. Thank you and sorry again.” Lyre said as she and her friends bowed and walked off. After walking a meter from the house, the tears she has been trying to hide finally burst.

“Being rejected sucks!!”, she said loudly as she wailed in her friends’ arms. “Let’s go and eat ice creams and cakes, just cry it out.”, Xane and Sida simultaneously said, cheering their friend up. They continued off as they carried on their day cheering up their friend and letting her move from her crush on Kant.

“I was about to slaughter that bitch if you were gonna give her the James treatment.” Bison said through his smile as they started to walk back to the house. “Hey now, do you not trust me?” Kant spoke with a pout.

“That’s why I said ‘about to’, if I didn’t I would’ve long done it before you started talking.” Bison said as he wrapped an arm on Kant’s neck, “But next time cut the suspense and just tell them outright.”

Kant smiled and leaned over to give his boyfriend a kiss, “Yes, my little penguin.”
