"pa-kiss na please, hoon." youngjae tries to nudge the boy beside him who's staring at his game like it's the most interesting thing in the world, even though he's just playing the same level of mario kart for the nth time already.
this makes youngjae try another approach—entangling his limbs around his boyfriend's and trying to snuggle closer, his cheeks touching dohoon's shoulder, but the latter just seems more unfazed than ever by the affection youngjae is trying to give him.
"may nagawa ba ako, hoon? sabihin mo na, please?" youngjae says, and he swears that's the most desperate he has sounded in his life, clearly begging for his boyfriend to reconcile with him and give him the sweetest kisses like he always used to.
it's been a little over five minutes since his last attempt to get dohoon's attention, and he's still not getting anything in return. dohoon is letting him cling to his arm, though, and he takes that as a sign that he's not actually MAD mad at him.
youngjae brings his hand to his boyfriend's face and tries to grab his chin with his fingers to make dohoon look at him, but dohoon brushes it off so easily, even youngjae is worried that maybe he's actually mad.
"labas lang ako, baby. just tell me if you're ready to tell me what happened, i’ll give you some time."
youngjae is about to give up as he removes himself from dohoon's shoulder and gets up—until dohoon presses the gameboy button too hard and the loud sound of his character crashing in mario kart makes youngjae halt.
"kanina, nu’ng kasama natin sina yu."
youngjae completely stops and turns around to look back at dohoon. it's the first time he's heard him talk since they've been left alone a little over a couple of hours ago.
"humihingi ako ng kiss pero ayaw mo. nahihiya ka ba sa akin?"
dohoon finally spills his thoughts. the words immediately travel back to youngjae's dome and make him remember the events earlier that day.
dohoon is right. he remembers shaking his head as dohoon pouted at him, asking for a kiss while their friends were being loud in the background. he swallows the lump in his throat as he realizes his mistake.
maybe he was just overstimulated at the time, maybe his social battery died down before the others’ did, or maybe he was thinking it's not a big deal for dohoon. but maybe it is.
"baby, hindi naman sa gan’un." he immediately tries to mend what dohoon just pointed out. he knows he can't really pinpoint the reason himself, but he wants to assure dohoon that what he’s thinking about him being ashamed isn't true.
dohoon shifts his gaze to youngjae for the first time as the latter tries to attach himself back into dohoon's arms. youngjae is being apologetic—like genuinely, because you can tell just from his puppy eyes that he's remorseful for what he did.
this alone makes dohoon heave a soft sigh. he doesn't want to be mad at his boyfriend; he's never actually been mad to begin with. he was just asking for an explanation. the sincerity in his boyfriend's words slightly makes him regret ignoring him since they've been left alone together. "i'm sorry, hoonie ko."
and that breaks the dam for dohoon, breathing out heavily as if to exhume all the negative emotions he's feeling before he lifts his hand to mess up youngjae's hair. this makes youngjae pout as he clings tighter to dohoon. "hindi naman ako galit, jae. i just wanted to ask. i'm sorry for ignoring you."
hearing dohoon reassure him just makes youngjae stick himself more to his boyfriend, eventually lifting his head to start smooching dohoon's face multiple times to make up for what he did. this makes dohoon chuckle a bit—it’s not like he wanted this in return, but he doesn’t want to complain either.
"okay na, jae. thank you, hm?" he retaliates as his boyfriend continues to drown him in kisses. he’s about to speak again, but youngjae suddenly captures his lips, which takes him aback. he immediately closes his eyes and kisses youngjae back softly before moving his hand to pat his head from behind.
as youngjae pulls away with a pout, he can't help but flash a smile at how adorable his boyfriend is. "bawi ako, hoon. may gusto ka bang bil’hin na bala for your gameboy? order ba tayo ng pizza?" youngjae continues to babble, and dohoon is slowly developing a cuteness aggression for his boyfriend.
he presses his lips against youngjae's this time, completely shutting him up. he smiles against his boyfriend's lips and pulls away before planting a soft kiss on his nose. "let's cuddle while watching ponyo?"
that’s dohoon's favorite film. they've watched it multiple times already, and youngjae swears he can recite the lines from the movie perfectly. but if watching it once more will give him a chance to hug his precious boyfriend and give him kisses in between scenes, who is he to decline?
he nods and gives dohoon another kiss. the night is still young, and maybe he'll give him more kisses—if that means making up for what he did earlier.
