Chapter Text
Admin privileges were a luxury only a handful of people had, and for a good reason; they were a powerful tool, one that could destroy as much as they created.
007n7 was a perfect example of why nobody but the devs should have these powers.
007n7 watched as the house fell into pieces, every anchor removed and the entire building destabilized. If not by the shape the rubble fell, you probably couldn't tell this mess used to be a house. From the rubble, the robloxians crawled out like worms from the dirt, and complained. Complain, complain, complain, it's what they do best. "The server is being hacked AGAIN!" "Someone call admin!1!!" "##########" "Who is doing that" "This is the third time this week..." 7n7 got out the c00lgui, a red and black panel materializing out of thin air. Upon entering a few commands and clicking enter, an ear-shattering tune rung out upon the crowd, blaring that wonderfully spooky song he loved, before everyone was reset back to the tower.
Some players blocked their ears in a desperate attempt to preserve their hearing ability, while some blipped out of existence -- tired of his antics, leaving the game entirely. 7n7 was poker-faced on the outside, but was practically losing it. Sure, this was the 8th time he destabilized the map, used his c00lgui to mess around, and then reset everyone before any disasters could happen on the map (you know, the entire point of the game) -- but god damn, was it hilarious to him. He had done it once again; ruined a game of Natural Disaster Survival for Robloxia's players.
A light blue circle emanated around a new player who has joined right beside him, their avatar turning from a gray silhouette to a black and yellow hooded man. 7n7's eyes widened, realizing they finally got an admin's attention -- and not just any admin: it was Telamon himself, Mr. Almighty himself, right beside him, surveying the damage. Shit, looks like it's time to go, he thought. With a single press of a button, he was back at his home -- at least, a good walk away from it; if the admins had ever figured out how to trace where he teleports, at least it wouldn't show his address.
7n7 sighed in relief, his heart beating like a drum in his chest. He loved the high he got from messing with the very fabric of their reality, the tingly feeling in his fingertips he got when he turned the world upside down (sometimes quite literally), all with the flick of his finger. Knowing it made everyone around him outraged only made it better. However, he also realized that a single slip-up on his part will, not could, result in his swift removal from robloxia. So he always kept a low profile, never making it obvious that it was him that was the perpetrator of hours of gaming ruined. Just follow the crowd: advice so simple yet so effective.
007n7 followed the trail he had become oh-so familiar with, the blocky trees parting into a small neighborhood. It was evening, the sun cascading reds and purples as it sunk into the west side. At this time, most people were inside, preparing dinner or getting ready for bed. 7n7 witnessed a mother ushering her two sons in for dinner, to which they threw the soccer ball they were playing in to the wayside and ran into the house. Sometimes, at late hours of the night, 007n7 thought about how sweet domestic life sounded, being able to find someone and have kids was always seen as the dream. 'Maybe one day,' he told himself. 'But definitely not now. I have too much ahead of me to settle down now.'
Truth be told, vandalizing games with his shenanigans wasn't something he thought he'd see himself doing 5 years back. Half a decade ago, he was but a young college student with an interest in coding and development. C00lgui had been a pet project at that point, a GUI he had made hoping to make commands easier for devs and admins. It was only when a certain black and purple roommate of him showed him the thrill of setting entire games alight that 7n7's motives changed. C00lgui instead became a hacking client, easy to use and quick to access. 007n7 was a father, and C00lgui was his man-made child. He hadn't seen Noli in awhile though; they had both been busy, I guess.
007n7's feet had eventually dragged him to his own front porch. His house was.. unassuming, to say the least. He had no decorations out front, not even a doormat to greet any guests that may knock on his door. 'Like anyone would visit me anyways,' 7n7 thought, snorting softly at the very idea. He unlocked his door and was greeted by the pigsty that was his house: discarded wrappers, bottles and boxes litter the table, blankets drape off of his couch, and those trash bags should've been taken out last trash night.. but frankly, 007n7 didn't care, at all. He ignored the disarray his living room was in and plopped right into the couch, picking up the laptop and once again working on c00lgui. This was his life; wake up, hop from game to game to fuck with everyone, return home, and work on c00lgui until he inevitably passed out on the couch. Hell, he couldn't even remember the last time he slept in his bed. It's not like it matters to him anyways.
He was so engulfed in his work that he almost missed the knocks on his door. Once he registered that someone was actually knocking on his door, he shot up from his resting place on the couch. Frantic thoughts were running through his mind: Has an admin found me? Did they track my teleportation? How did they figure out my address? Was I being followed? Shit, shit, shit- his train of thoughts were interrupted by a.. cry? Yeah, it was definitely a cry, but not that of a grown adult. The crying of what was most certainly an infant emanated from behind his front door.
007n7's eyes widened, before he furrowed his brows again. That's a trick, that's a goddamn sick trick to get me to open the door, he thought, pulling out his c00lgui, getting ready to teleport away. I won't let them get me, not yet! I still have so much to do, I'm not ready yet. They can't take me, they can't! They're so fucked up, using a baby's cries to lure me out. I need to leave, I need to-
But what if there's a real infant behind that door?
The hurricane of panicked delusions was cut through like a knife with that throw-away thought. He slowly lowered his c00lgui and looked to the door, the sounds of wailing as loud as ever. What.. what if it was an actual baby? He couldn't just leave a baby sitting on his front porch. He may have been a villain in many people's minds, but by the swordfights on the heights, he wasn't a monster. Shaking now, he looked down between his c00lgui and the door, wanting to flee for his own self preservation, yet the what if? Keeping him grounded.
With trembling hands, he put his c00lgui away, the screen fizzling away into the air. He turned to the door and sighed. With slow, cautious movements, he began to stalk towards the front door. With each shaky step, 007n7 knew that he was getting closer and closer to what could be his doom. Step by step, his gut began to sank. It could be an innocent infant, or a banhammer just waiting to smack his burger-sat head with the might of Shedletsky himself. With his hand on the knob, his gut feeling told him that something horrible was waiting behind this door, something horrifying to see in his last moments as he is being killed, the end of it all for him.
He turned the knob and swung the door open, and sat right on his front porch, swaddled in a soft blanket in a basket, would be his very undoing.
