Chapter Text
I was busy In the library after I had just finished up working with Alpha Trion studding the crystals, we hadn't found much on them yet but he said something about magnets before telling me to go study.
As I was studying one of the many books found in the hall of Iacon I heard some noises behind one of the shelves which was uncommon since nobody was usually here especially this late into the night.
I stand up and walk around the side of the shelf and my eyes land on a mech, with a simple color pallet of red and blue. I stare at him for a bit to much I guess and he looks up and we make eye contact. I recognize him almost instantly.
"You're Orion Pax!? You wrote the theory that there may be different species the exist outside of Cybertron!" My eyes go wide as I stare at him. He glanced around a bit before looking back at me and pointing to himself.
"You mean me?" He responds quite surprised.
"Uhhh yeah Orion Pax??" I say now quite worried that I had mixed him up with a different mech, but he looked so much like him.
"I-Uhh... Yeah that's me." He then nods slowly rubbing the back of his neck looking quite embarrassed.
"No way! I can't believe that I'm meeting you I've read all about your works and theorys you're like my idol!" As I finish saying that his eyes light up.
"Really?! I never thought my works were held in such light by some.." A smile creeps up on his face.
"I have so many things to ask you can we sit and talk?" I look at him with slight hope and excitement in my eyes.
He smiles before nodding and we go to sit down were I was sitting earlier.
As we talk I find myself staring at him he had such beautiful optics, and the way his face lit up while talking about stuff he loved warmed my spark.
"Is something wrong Smokescreen? You've gone quiet was it something I said?!" He looked embarrassed for rambling for so long.
I felt my face heat up as I realize I have been zoning out while admiring him. "Oh no you're all good its- just- I mean-" I stop talking and just rest my face in my hands. "I'm sorry" Is all i can say feeling mortified.
Orion smiled feeling better now that he knew he wasn't making a fool of himself, but I knew I was!
We end up talking later into the night only pausing when Alpha Trion came back holding something, probably the thing he wanted us to try and test he was talking about earlier. He walks up to me and Orion causing both of us to stop our conversation.
"I see you met my new apprentice?" He says looking over at Orion with a small smile.
"You two know each other?-" I was saying in surprise before interrupting myself "-Wait of course you two know each other."
Alpha Trion simply continue smiling while He looks at the both of us "I was hoping you two would meet my two best students. Smokescreen this is my late apprentice Orion Pax. Orion this is my new apprentice Smokescreen.
"So this was your new apprentice you mention to me a few weeks back?" Orion looks back over at me with surprise then a small smile "You made a good choice."
Alpha Trion Smiled "I know I did, But I need to finish some work with Smokescreen so may you please excuse us Orion."
"Of course" He says quickly standing up "Thank you for the chat I hope I get to know you more Smokescreen" He extends a servo out and I take it in a handshake as I also stand up.
"Likewise" And with that Alpha Trion and I leave the library heading to where we can test the knew theory.
