i am human and i need to be loved (just like everybody else)

Summary:

the white haired man's eyes peaked over his sunglasses as he leveled his glare on to his supposed partner.

"give me one good reason why i shouldn't kill you, gojo." leon scowled, jaw tense as he stared down at the other man.

satoru huffed, "sure you're even able to kill me, kennedy? you're strong, but i'm better. i'd hate to mess up your pretty face."

Chapter 1: chance encounter

Chapter Text

satoru’s piercing blue eyes met the agent’s icy blue ones as they both held their respective guns at each other.

“woah there, agent, i’d be careful pointing that gun anywhere,” satoru teased, a sly smirk on his face as he sized up the shorter but more muscular blonde in front of him. “someone could get hurt.”

the agent--who’s name satoru didn’t even care to remember, suguru would later scold him for not listening--narrowed his eyes, “who are you?”

knowing he was another agent from the same agency he was under, satoru placed his gun back in its holster. the agent watched every move of his with his gun still stationed to shoot satoru. the white haired man’s eyes skimmed over the agent’s toned arms before rolling his eyes and pulling out his badge to show the other man.

“go--ah, i forgot you guys say it backwards here,” satoru tsk’d. “satoru gojo, usstratcom, of course.”

the unknown agent lowered his gun, still cautious as he nodded, “leon s. kennedy. what’re you doing here?”

upon hearing the blonde man’s name--leon, satoru tries to remember--satoru chuckles as he recalls the infamous raccoon city survivors. well, the ones partially documented. he pushes back the memories of countless near-death experiences umbrella handed to him like a shitty gift.

“s’posed to be helping you, agent kennedy,” satoru stuck out his tongue childishly, showing his pearly white teeth as he placed a hand on his hip casually. “dunno why they stuck me with babysitting, considering i’m their best agent. damn geezers.”

before leon could respond to the man's whining, his communicator started beeping as he quickly answered the call with hunnigan.

“roost to condor one, just checking in,” hunnigan spoke clearly into his ear. “you’ve been stationary, you’re not sleeping on the job are you?”

leon suppressed a snort as the joke attempt, quickly replying, “no. i ran into agent…gojo. My backup for the rest of the mission.”

The blonde briefly made contact with the other man before looking away as he heard hunnigan take in a sharp breath.

“agent gojo? as in, satoru gojo?” hunnigan spoke into the mic, her normal collected cadence jumping around as she rushed the words out. “please tell me you read the case file on six eyes.”

leon scoffed, running his other hand through his hair as he replied back lowly, “didn’t think he’d be so…eccentric.”
