“He'll realize it's a date and he's still in love with you!” Alya announced proudly.
The other girls blinked, stunned silent. Marinette had finally admitted that she was interested in Luka and Alya had launched into a scheme without pause.
“Or,” Juleka smiled mischievously. “You could kiss him.”
Rose squealed. “He. Would. Melt!”
Alya nodded emphatically. “Don't listen to me, listen to them. They know Luka best.”
A quick round of agreements and a pep talk later, Marinette marched down to Luka's cabin.
He looked up when she reached the door, flashing an easy smile. “Hey Marinette.”
Marinette squared her shoulders and moved confidently across the room. She sat on his bed and waited until he moved his guitar.
“So what brings you-” Marinette had interrupted him with a kiss before she could overthink it.
Luka froze, his face reddening and his head spinning. He heard Juleka’s cackle from the door and flipped her off before bringing his hands up to cradle Marinette's face. He kissed her back, more than happy to explore whatever this was.
When she pulled away, Marinette's face was an adorable shade of pink. “I'm sorry. I should have asked.”
“I'm not complaining.” Luka flashed a crooked smile. “What was that for?”
“I like you, Luka. I'm tired of pretending I don't have feelings for you.” She swallowed, waiting for his reply.
“Well, if we're done pretending we don't have feelings for each other, can I take you out this weekend?”
She smiled. “I'd like that.”
