I Dare Not Confess to my Own Soul

Summary:

Yunho was sure that he was not attracted to any of his friends, much less had romantic feelings for any of them, but when Mingi starts joking about wearing a dress for Halloween, Yunho starts to question himself. Even more so when he discovers Mingi is not joking.

Work Text:

Yunho stretched out on Hongjoong’s dorm bed, long legs dangling over the side. Wooyoung sat next to him, his legs tossed over Yunho’s stomach. Yunho looked over questioningly as Wooyoung scooted himself up to address the entire room.

“Are we all going to Heesung’s party on Halloween?”

Several hums of agreement rang out followed by Yeosang stating, “I’ll go if you all are.”

“What’s everyone dressing up as?” Hongjoong asked, “Should we go costume shopping together?”

“I’m down,” San piped up, “I don’t have a costume yet.”

“Me neither,” Wooyoung added in, “I think I’m gonna do Harry Potter.”

“I’ll do Draco then,” San grinned, “It’ll be a couples costume.”

Yunho rolled his eyes as Wooyoung giggled. He was happy for the couple, don’t get him wrong, but he’d been friends with this group long enough to wonder how long this would last. At one point Wooyoung claimed to be basically in love with Yeosang while San was obsessed with Mingi. They claimed they’d actually liked each other the whole time, but were too scared to admit it. They were a group of eight men that liked other men, with the exception of poor Jongho- the token straight, and Yunho knew that throughout the years there had been many crushes and hopeless flings within the group. Yunho swears he’s the only one who hadn’t tried to fuck one of his friends.

“I’m gonna be a pirate,” Hongjoong decided, pursing his lips with a nod. “What are you thinking Mingi?”

Yunho quirked an eyebrow, annoyance sparking. Is Hongjoong’s new interest Mingi? Yunho considers Mingi to be his closest friend in the group, so he’d prefer if Mingi stayed away from all that, for his own sake. He remembers that Mingi kissed San once- and had immediately regretted it- as he told Yunho later and Yunho had been so annoyed by the stupidity of it all that he’d gone two days without speaking to the other.

Mingi picked at his nails thoughtfully, “I’ve been thinking about going as Princess Peach.”

Yunho sat up, eyebrows furrowed. He and Mingi had a long-standing inside joke of calling Mingi ‘princess’ due to his lazy nature around Yunho specifically. Mingi would constantly ask Yunho to do small tasks for him. ‘Yunho, can you grab that?’ , ‘Yunho, can you hand me that?’ , ‘Yunho, can you drive me somewhere?’ , ‘Yunho, can you make me a snack?’, and one day Yunho had sarcastically responded with, ‘Sure, princess’. Mingi’s shocked expression had been hilarious to Yunho in the moment and it had stuck, but only as a joke between the two of them. The others were unaware of the joke as far as Yunho knew and the idea of them joining in on it had Yunho sulking on the bed. Several gasps rang out as the rest of the group cheered Mingi on.

“That would actually really suit you,” Hongjoong gushed.

Yunho flopped back down with a smirk, he knew they wouldn’t understand it. He caught Mingi’s eye from across the room and winked teasingly, Mingi flustering.

“Is everyone free to go shopping tomorrow?”

Yunho glanced around the large shop with a sigh. Truthfully, he had no idea what he wanted to dress up as. Wooyoung came to his side, screeching as an animatronic witch reached out as they walked past it. Yunho heard Mingi giggling behind them and smiled lightly.

“Do you know what you’re looking for?”

Yunho shook his head, “Not really, don’t have any ideas.”

Wooyoung snickered, clearly amused by whatever joke he’d come up with, “What about Mario? To match Mingi’s Princess Peach?”

Yunho snorted, “As if.”

“What’s wrong with my idea?” Wooyoung pouted.

“Why would I do a couples costume?” Yunho rolled his eyes. This isn’t the first time Wooyoung has tried to push Yunho toward Mingi romantically. Part of him thinks it’s because he still feels a bit insecure about San’s past feelings towards the man.

The idea of him and Mingi being together was hilarious to Yunho. To put it simply, Yunho’s not opposed to bottoming, but definitely prefers topping. He likes to be in control and to have someone at his will. Him and Mingi have never talked about their preferences, but he’s seen Mingi in action. Mingi flirts a lot, but never pursues, and from what Yunho can see it’s all cheeky grins, squared shoulders, and using his height to his advantage. Yunho doesn’t think he’s ever seen Mingi hit on someone over 5’10 and Yunho is definitely out of that margin. That’s also why Yunho finds it kind of hilarious that the rest of the group seem to think Mingi is legit about this whole Princess Peach costume thing considering he’s normally adorned in baggy hoodies and baseball caps, Mingi was so boyish.

“Leave him alone,” Mingi snorted, flicking at Wooyoung’s forehead. He never seemed as bothered by the dating jokes as Yunho was, but Yunho’s sure he used to it after making his rounds through the group.

Wooyoung scurried to San’s side to avoid the attack. Mingi fell into step beside Yunho, “Should we find you one first?”

After minutes of looking through various costumes, Yunho finally decided on Spider-Man, claiming he wanted to live out his childhood dream. Mingi eyed the skin-tight outfit and nodded with a grin.

“It’ll look good on you.”

Yunho grinned, waving his hand in dismissal, “Let’s find yours? What should we get, MJ?”

Mingi burst into laughter, Yunho beaming proudly. The dating jokes were different coming from themselves.

“Which version?” Mingi played along, walking toward the women’s section.

“Zendaya, obviously.”

“So you want me to forget about you? Ouch.”

“Too soon,” Yunho shot back, shaking his head in disappointment.

Before Mingi could respond, they were interrupted by Seonghwa calling out for them.

“Mingi! I found it!”

Seonghwa raised his hand for them to see where he was and they made their way over. Seonghwa held the costume out to Mingi with a light smile, Mingi lighting up at the sight of the outfit. A short, pink and white fluffy dress that Yunho was sure would be even shorter on Mingi’s long legs, completed with a yellow crown sat inside the plastic bag.

“Her dress was definitely longer than that,” Yunho deadpanned, staring at the bottom of the dress and picturing Mingi’s legs sticking out from beneath it.

“It’s a sexy Peach,” San argued, “You should buy those long, frilly socks to go with it.”

“Thigh-highs?” Wooyoung questioned, nodding along in agreement.

Yunho’s breath got caught in his throat, watching Mingi who nodded and pursed his lips like he was considering it.

“Why Princess Peach exactly?” Yunho asked, hoping Mingi would drop the bit.

“I’m living out a childhood dream,” Mingi teased, “She was always my favourite.”

Yunho felt dizzy as they checked out, the women behind the register went red as Mingi set his costume down. She stuttered out his total, keeping her eyes on him as he paid. Mingi grabbed his bag, biting down on his bottom lip and letting his eyes linger on her for a moment before speaking.

“Thank you, have a nice day.”

The others teased him as they walked to their cars.

“What was that for?” San snorted, “You do the most unnecessary shit.”

“Do you even like women?” Jongho added in and Mingi immediately snorted.

“No.”

This fueled more laughter from the group, Yunho rolling his eyes in disbelief.

A few days later Hongjoong invited everyone over to Seonghwa and his dorm again, stating they needed to have a scary movie marathon before Halloween actually started. Everyone confirmed they could make it and they just decided to come over anytime after six. At six-thirty Yunho shut his door behind him, dressed comfortably in sweatpants and a hoodie. He swung the door to Hongjoong and Seonghwa’s room open, not used to knocking after months of coming over. He stopped dead in his tracks. Mingi stood in the middle of the room, stumbling as he pulled his foot out of the dress. He was naked except for his boxers and socks that were meant to be much higher but had been rolled down to his ankles. He grinned at Yunho awkwardly as he handed the dress to Hongjoong who quickly shoved it back into the plastic bag it came in.

“What the fuck did I just walk in on?” Yunho tried to cover his growing agitation with a teasing tone.

“Mingi wanted to try on his costume,” Hongjoong explained simply, walking forward to stand next to Mingi who was now rolling the socks off his feet.

Hongjoong offered his shoulder for Mingi to hold onto and Yunho bit down on his tongue. Wondering when those two suddenly got so close put Yunho in a sour mood straightaway. The atmosphere was tense as Mingi began redressing, avoiding Yunho’s gaze. Hongjoong stood off to the side to give Mingi some privacy, not that it mattered at that point. Yunho strutted over to the pair, only fueled further by Hongjoong’s questioning glances. His fingers hooked in Mingi’s belt loops, yanking him forward and buttoning Mingi’s pants himself. Mingi blinked in surprise, cheeks going red as Yunho maintained eye contact with him as he slipped the button through the hole.

“You’re not gonna let me see?”

Mingi smiled sweetly, tilting his head, “It’s a surprise.”

“But not for everyone?” Yunho eyed Hongjoong discreetly.

“Only you.”

Yunho hummed, not even trying to hide his disappointment. The others started arriving soon after, much to everyone’s relief, and the eight of them all piled onto the sofa and surrounding chairs in front of the TV. Yunho and Mingi sat side by side, Yunho’s legs outstretched to the floor and Mingi’s thrown over Yunho’s, his feet dangling off the end of the couch. Seonghwa sat on the farthest end, Hongjoong laid with his head in Seonghwa’s lap, the rest of his body stretched into Mingi’s lap. Yunho glared at Hongjoong’s socked feet that bumped his legs every now and then. Sure, they were all pretty touchy with one another, proven by San who was currently laid atop both Yeosang and Wooyoung who were cuddled up on the loveseat, but hadn’t Hongjoong been more touchy towards Mingi than normal? Yunho spent the rest of the movie sulking.

Apparently he wasn’t the only one who’d noticed Hongjoong and Mingi’s sudden closeness. Yeosang and Yunho sat in the back of the class together, both bored out of their minds as the professor droned on in this hour long lecture. Yeosang suddenly leaned closer to Yunho, whispering under his breath.

“Have you and Mingi been fighting or something?”

Yunho’s eyebrow raised, whispering back, “No, why?”

“He’s just been spending a lot of time at Seonghwa and Hongjoong’s lately, every time I’ve gone over there this past week he’s been there. Usually he’s at yours all hours of the day.”

Yunho hummed softly, “I guess they’re just spending more time together.”

Yeosang nodded, dropping the subject and focusing back on the lecture. Yunho’s lips set into a frown, eyebrows furrowed. Were Mingi and Hongjoong already dating? Yunho had noticed Mingi being distant as of late, but he assumed it was due to Mingi being busy with school, not that the other was spending his time at Hongjoong’s. Yunho spent the rest of his day in a daze. He kept switching from hurt to anger, both emotions filled with confusion. If Mingi and Hongjoong truly had feelings for one another shouldn’t Yunho be happy for them? Hongjoong was Mingi’s type after all, at least from what Yunho had seen. Despite this, Yunho found himself hating the idea of the two of them together, especially since he now knew Mingi was ditching him to hang out with Hongjoong.

Yunho swung his door open, agitation seething off of him. Jongho sat on the couch staring at him with narrowed eyes.

“Why are you stomping around? You’ve got company.”

Yunho glanced around, eyes stopping at his bed where his anger immediately melted. Mingi patted the space beside him with a small grin, “Rough day?”

Yunho fell with a grunt, rolling over to his side to peer up at the other, “Yeah.”

“I’m sorry,” Mingi frowned, fingers playing with the stray strands of Yunho’s hair that were now sticking up everywhere. “Want to order takeout and watch a movie?”

As the days leading up to Halloween passed, Yunho’s frustrations grew. He became extremely snappy if Mingi wasn’t around and everyone had taken notice, but chose not to speak up, assuming he must not feel well. All Yunho could think of as of late was Mingi. Mingi spending time with Hongjoong, Mingi changing in Hongjoong’s dorm, Mingi possibly having feelings for Hongjoong, and most of all Mingi in that stupid pink dress that Yunho has still yet to see him in despite everyone else claiming they had.

They were spread out in Seonghwa and Hongjoong’s dorm, per usual. Yeosang, Jongho, Mingi, and San sat on the floor in front of the TV in the middle of a heated Mario Kart game. Mingi had picked Princess Peach as his character, which he always did, but this time it sparked some joking comments from the others, much to Yunho’s dismay. San groaned as his first place spot was stolen by Mingi and leaned closer to the TV as if that would somehow make Toad drive faster.

“Yeah!” Hongjoong cheered Mingi on, “First place, Princess!”

The rest of the group cackled as Mingi turned with wide eyes, almost losing his first place spot. Yunho felt a prickling sensation growing in his chest. It spread until his entire body prickled with an unexplainable emotion. He blinked blankly at the TV, the screen blurring as his ears rang.

“Oh shit, back in first!” San exclaimed, “Suck it Peach!”

The finish line was in sight, San hunched over his controller with furrowed brows, only for his mouth to fall agape.

“Who the fuck blue-shelled me?”

Yeosang grinned wickedly as he took the number one spot and crossed the finish line.

“You bitch!” San ended in second, falling to his back afterwards.

Mingi came in third, setting the controller aside with a frown. Jongho came in fifth as Bowser.

“Switch,” Hongjoong announced, snatching San’s discarded controller off the ground.

Seonghwa and Wooyoung picked up their controllers as well, flipping through the characters. Yunho numbly took the controller Mingi handed to him, scrolling through the characters until he landed on Yoshi. Seonghwa chose Princess Daisy and Wooyoung picked Waluigi. Hongjoong took the longest to choose, Seonghwa and Wooyoung complaining since everyone else had already made their selections.

“Fine, chill,” Hongjoong huffed, deciding on Mario.

“Basic,” San sang out.

“Leave him alone, he just wanted to match Mingi’s Princess Peach,” Wooyoung teased.

Hongjoong snorted with a shake of his head. The prickling sensation grew. Yunho could barely focus on the game, resulting in him being either last or close to last the whole time. No one teased him about it, weary of his recent snappiness. Wooyoung placed first, standing and lifting his leg to pop his ass out as Hongjoong slouched back in shock. Yunho placed seventh, only because Seonghwa was absolutely horrible at this game.

“It’s okay,” Wooyoung sympathised, patting Hongjoong’s head. “You and Mingi both got third.”

“You and me, Princess,” Hongjoong reached out to high-five Mingi.

Yunho bit his tongue hard enough to draw blood.

“Aw, how cute,” Wooyoung laughed, plopping himself down on the armrest next to San. “Couples who lose together, stay together.”

Mingi flipped him off with a sarcastic grin, “I’ll easily beat you.”

Why weren’t they denying the couple comment? Yunho’s chest ached.

“Woah,” San interrupted, fanning a look of offence, “I lost and you won.”

Wooyoung paused for a moment then clicked his tongue, “We’re the exception.”

Yunho set his controller on the ground, staring down at his crossed legs.

“That’s not how the saying goes,” Hongjoong argued, “You’ve got it wrong.”

Seonghwa piped in, “Play together, stay together. That’s how it goes.”

“Then you two need to pick up a controller!” Wooyoung exclaimed, motioning between Hongjoong and Mingi. He then turned his head away and smugly crossed one leg over the other, “Leave me out of this.”

“Leave you out of it,” Hongjoong cackled, “You started this!”

Yunho suddenly sat up, glaring at Wooyoung, “You’re always doing shit like this.”

The room fell silent, Wooyoung raising an eyebrow at Yunho’s snappy tone. He cleared his throat, smiling tightly to try and ease the tension, “I was just joking around. We can drop it, sorry.”

“Joking around,” Yunho scoffed, “Why is it always Mingi?”

The tension hung heavy in the room, Hongjoong eyed Yunho wearily, debating whether speaking up would make things worse. Yunho could feel Mingi tense up beside him and his mind was telling him to shut up, shut up, shut up, but his mouth was moving too quickly for him to process, his body feeling like it was on fire. And he knew Wooyoung wasn’t the real target of his anger, but he was sitting in front of Yunho and voicing his worst nightmare out loud and it made him such an easy target.

“I didn’t realise it bothered-” Wooyoung paused, eyes flickering between Yunho and Mingi as he chose his words carefully, “him. Sorry.”

Mingi looked up as if he wanted to say something, but glanced at Yunho and decided against it. His hand crept beside Yunho’s, fingers lightly brushing against Yunho’s own and Yunho felt like he could cry. He didn’t understand what was wrong with him, why he was so angry as of late, why he was taking it out on the only people he really cared for, and how they didn’t see that it bothered him. Wooyoung stared at him, lips set into a frown and something cut deep into Yunho’s chest. Wooyoung knew that it hurt him and suddenly Yunho was overcome with the urge to hurt Wooyoung in the same way. To have his chest aching and limbs feeling numb, to have his head pounding and eyes burning, so he said something that he knew would hurt.

“Whatever,” Yunho shrugged nonchalantly, “It just seems like you’re trying to push Mingi into a relationship because you’re insecure about San’s past feelings. I get it, I would be too since they made out and all.”

Wooyoung’s expression changed a million times in a single second. Starting with the tense frown, then quickly forming into irritation, and then nearly laughing at Yunho’s audacity. Only to fall into something that had Yunho’s body going cold as guilt froze him over. Wooyoung’s eyes slowly travelled to glance at his boyfriend then over at Mingi who hung his head, hands covering his eyes. He slid off the arm of the couch, standing up and taking a step away from San. His mouth opened and closed a few times as he processed the information.

“They-?” He swallowed, voice trembling. He turned to San who had paled, “Is that true?”

San blinked dumbly, stuttering over an explanation. Wooyoung glanced around the room, cutting San off, “Did you all know about this?”

Yeosang, Hongjoong, Seonghwa, and Jongho spoke over one another as they all denied. San sighed, sitting up straight. He rubbed his forehead, scrunching his eyebrows together.

“None of them knew,” San explained calmly, “It was a mistake. It was impulsive and awkward and we agreed to never speak about it again and tell no one.”

“I didn’t tell anyone else,” Mingi finally spoke up.

“I thought he knew,” Yunho’s voice was strained, Mingi refused to look at him. “I swear I wouldn’t have said it if I knew he didn’t. Fuck, I’m sorry”

“You’re only sorry that Mingi’s upset with you?” The look on Wooyoung’s face was enough to nearly bring Yunho to tears as he struggled to dig himself out of the hole he’d dug himself into. “Like that wouldn’t be a fucked up thing to say even if I knew?”

Yunho felt everyone’s eyes on him, “No, I am sorry. I shouldn’t have said that. Wooyoung, really-”

“I don’t care,” Wooyoung cut him off, “Thank you, actually. If you hadn’t said it I would’ve never known, right?”

San shrunk underneath Wooyoung’s stare, “Like I said, it was meaningless. I had basically forgotten about it until Yunho said something. You’re telling me you never did anything with Yeosang when you had feelings for him?”

Wooyoung closed his eyes and took a deep breath. Yeosang stayed silent, but he turned to watch Wooyoung with wide eyes. San glanced between them at Wooyoung’s silence, wincing as the realisation hit him.

“Oh my fucking god, he didn’t know.”

“I’m going to my room,” Wooyoung announced, lips stretched into a tight smile. He nodded towards San, “You can go fuck yourself. Goodnight to everyone else.”

The door clicked closed behind Wooyoung, the room still eerily silent. San groaned loudly, throwing his head back against the back cushions of the couch. He stood and rushed out the door to chase after Wooyoung.

“Well,” Jongho cleared his throat once San had left, “That was awful. Thanks, Yunho.”

Yunho stayed glued to his spot, staring straight ahead at the Mario Kart selection screen. Mingi stood abruptly, pulling on Yunho’s arm to get him to follow. Numbly, Yunho let Mingi lead him out of the dorm. Mingi pulled him further down the hallway, out of the other’s earshots.

“What is wrong with you lately?” He hissed underneath his breath.

Yunho blinked with a frown. He shook his head, unable to answer.

“We’ve been able to handle your sudden mood swings and distance, but whatever that was in there,” Mingi pointed toward Hongjoong’s dorm, eyes flaring in anger, “was not okay. If something’s going on you can talk to us and we’ll help you in any way we can, but you can’t go around saying fucked up shit. What were you trying to accomplish? Did you wanna ruin their relationship?”

“No,” Yunho hung his head, feeling small in the face of Mingi’s scolding.

Mingi stared at him for a moment, letting his anger simmer down, “Don’t bring my name into shit just because you feel like being a dick. I’m being serious, Yunho. When you wanna talk about whatever you’ve got going on, or when you’ve got it all figured out, come find me. Until then, stay to yourself and stop taking it out on us.”

Mingi turned on his heels and left Yunho standing in the middle of the hallway. He numbly walked to his dorm. Yunho stripped down and climbed into bed, pulling the blanket up to his chin and facing the wall. He heard Jongho arrive home a while later and quickly shut his eyes, hoping the younger didn’t mention his outburst. He didn’t, but it didn’t make Yunho feel any better.

The others kept their distance, understandably. Jongho acted like normal, at least in the dorm, and Yeosang still made small talk in class, but if they didn’t have to speak to him, they didn’t. From what Yunho could tell San and Wooyoung were still rocky. They were attached to one another as usual, but the normally bubbly, laughter-filled atmosphere around them was now filled with silence and forced small talk. The both of them skipped classes on Halloween and Yunho hoped it was for a good reason. Yunho himself had yet to figure anything out. He was more confused than ever, but the two people he relied on the most were the two he didn’t want to face. He knew Mingi had spent all the time he usually spent with him hanging out with Hongjoong. Every time Yunho had seen Mingi, Hongjoong was right there at his side, sometimes paired with Seonghwa. Yunho wishes it was someone else Mingi was doing this with, because Hongjoong could have Yunho’s emotions settled with a single conversation, but there’s no way Yunho could talk to him about this.

Jongho exited the bathroom, adjusting the two fake, plastic teeth that were glued over his canines. He glanced over Yunho with an unamused expression.

“Why aren’t you dressed? I’m about to leave.”

Yunho’s head snapped over to him, “For the party?”

“Obviously,” Jongho motioned over his costume, black cloak whipping behind him.

“I wasn’t planning on going.”

Jongho rolled his eyes, “You bought a costume.”

“Yeah.”

Jongho huffed, walking over to Yunho’s bed and pulling him up, “Stop sulking, get dressed. We’re tired of you avoiding us. You were a dick the other day, whatever, it happens. Come to the party, talk to Wooyoung, and move on.”

Yunho blinked rapidly, “Yeah, okay.”

He grabbed his costume and slipped into the bathroom to change. Mingi had told him to keep his distance, so Yunho assumed that’s what all of them wanted. But to them it just seemed like Yunho was purposely avoiding them and Yunho wondered if they knew about the conversation between him and Mingi at all. Yunho looked himself over in the mirror and immediately decided that he’d need to pair this outfit with a pair of pants.

He walked out in search of some sweatpants when Jongho exclaimed, “Yo, put that thing away!”

Yunho laughed, covering himself up as he dug through his drawers. He stepped into a pair of grey sweats and Jongho whistled.

“Damn, that thing can make a man forget he likes women.”

“Fuck off, you’re disgusting.”

Jongho slapped his ass as Yunho walked by, and Yunho tossed a half-hearted glare over his shoulder.

Yunho stuck to Jongho’s side as they arrived at the party. People overflowed the house, the music pounded in Yunho’s skull, and various drinks were scattered across any surface people could find. In other words, it was the perfect place for Yunho to down a drink and let himself relax in for a moment before he seeked out his friends. He filled a red solo cup with the first drink he could find and chugged it, immediately pushing through the crowd on a mission. He spotted Yeosang first, sitting on a couch between two vaguely familiar men in a heated conversation. The tips of his blonde hair were dyed blue and pink, messy lipstick applied over his lips. He looked good. Yunho continued through the house, deciding to make his way back to Yeosang later. Yunho made his way over to the staircase and grinned upon seeing San and Wooyoung. The two were dressed in their matching Harry and Draco outfits, sitting huddled together on one of the steps. Wooyoung laughed loudly at something San said, letting the upper half of his body fall into San’s lap as San continued speaking, motioning with his hands like crazy. Yunho approached them cautiously and San saw him first, looking up with a light smile.

“Hey,” Yunho breathed out, relieved at the grin Wooyoung greeted him with, “Can we go outside to talk?”

“Sure,” Wooyoung grabbed his cup off the stairs and stood.

He leaned down to peck San’s lips before nodding at Yunho to let him know he was ready. Yunho led him through the crowded house into the backyard that had considerably less people around. Wooyoung leaned against the railing of the porch and took a sip of his drink, pushing his round glasses further up his nose.

“What’s up?”

Yunho swallowed roughly, “I’m sorry about the other day. That was- yeah, I shouldn’t have said that.”

Wooyoung nodded, “Yeah, you were being a dick.”

Wooyoung grinned at him, Yunho offering a weak smile, “Does that mean we’re good?”

Wooyoung giggled, opening his arms and Yunho immediately fell into them.

“Is it bad that I’m still kind of upset he wasn’t gonna tell me?” Wooyoung’s voice was muffled as his face was pressed into Yunho’s chest.

Yunho’s lips twitched downwards. He shook his head, “No, I think you’re right to feel that way. I’d want to know, even though there’s not anything there.”

Wooyoung sighed, “I don’t think they ever actually liked each other. It’s like me with Yeosang, you know? Sometimes you just love someone so much and it’s easy to confuse that with romance.”

Yunho pulled away, gnawing on his bottom lip, “How did you know? That it was different with San, I mean.”

Wooyoung pouted his lips thoughtfully, “When we all started hanging out as a group, I found myself feeling the same way towards all of you that I felt toward Yeosang, except it was just stronger with him. And then with San it was more. I thought I wanted to be with Yeosang, but I was perfectly content staying the way we were and I wasn’t with San. It was tearing me up, truthfully. If he didn’t like me, I would’ve dealt with that, but it would’ve killed me. And I didn’t even realise until he mentioned going on a date one day and the thought of him with someone in that way made me feel ill. I care about all of you and want to know your worries and how you’re feeling, but I wanted to know every detail about him. I could spend hours with him and never get bored. He’s special, you know?”

Yunho’s body prickled as thoughts he’d only previously let enter his mind late at night flew through his head. The way the mere sound of Mingi’s voice could bring him happiness, the way the man’s presence melted all of Yunho’s worries to nothing, his smile could make all the annoyances of Yunho’s day worth it. He thought about how Mingi easily flirted with all those people and how Yunho would sometimes stare at the ceiling at night and imagine it was him instead. He thought about his hands in Mingi’s hair, Mingi’s lips against his own, and he could almost feel the way Mingi would smile into it and it all came crashing around him as Wooyoung’s voice sliced through.

“Hey, are you okay?”

Yunho nodded quickly, trying to make his expression nonchalant. That’s not what Mingi wants. Mingi wants someone shorter than him, smaller than him, quieter than him, that would let him take control. Yunho’s too tall, too lanky, too loud, and too upfront, Mingi doesn’t want him.

“Let’s get back in there and find everyone else. Jongho brought it to my attention today that I was unintentionally avoiding you guys.”

Wooyoung snorted, “Unintentionally?”

Yunho shrugged, “I thought everyone was mad at me.”

Wooyoung tossed an arm over his shoulder, “We’ve all been assholes to one another at some point. It’s hypocritical to hold a grudge.”

Yunho grinned and Wooyoung pressed a sloppy kiss to his cheek that had Yunho grimacing and trying to wipe the saliva off. Wooyoung giggled, leading them through the crowd until they met back up with San on the stairs who was now joined by Yeosang. San whistled as Yunho sat next to Yeosang, Wooyoung going back to his seat next to San.

“I wasn’t paying attention earlier but you look good.”

Yunho chuckled, “Thanks, the whole outline of my dick is showing so I had to put pants on.”

Wooyoung burst into more drunk giggles, San chuckling along.

“Don’t be shy,” Yeosang nudged his knee against Yunho’s, “Show.”

“Not you too,” Yunho groaned, “I already had Jongho claiming I was turning him gay earlier.”

“Now you have to show,” Wooyoung wheezed.

“Show what?” Hongjoong shouted, approaching the stairs. His boots clambered up the stairs. He looked around at the small group, one of his eyes hidden behind an eyepatch.

Seonghwa followed behind him, his long black hair swishing with the movement. Certain strands glinted a dark, earthy green, peeking out from the void of black. Green vines were painted up his neck and over his hands, extending from his all green attire. Poison Ivy, and Yunho could tell Seonghwa was proud of the final product. And of course, Mingi followed behind as well, grinning brightly.

“Yunho was gonna show us his dick,” San answered.

Yunho, meanwhile, was frozen in place watching Mingi walk up the stairs. His mouth went dry as Mingi stopped in front of him. His legs were the only thing in Yunho’s vision, hidden behind a pair of sheer white thigh highs. Delicate bows sat on the hem, looking, oh so pretty against Mingi’s tanned skin. Yunho peeked up and the bottom of Mingi’s fluffy dress nearly touched his face. The fabric brushed against Mingi’s toned thighs as he moved. Mingi used a sneaker-covered foot to kick Yunho’s feet farther apart and sit on the stair below, right in between Yunho’s legs. Yunho startled, jerking back, and Mingi glanced back concerned, but was quickly distracted by the conversation.

“In the spiderman suit?” Seonghwa questioned.

“Apparently it almost turned Jongho gay.”

“Anything any of us do almost turns Jongho gay,” Mingi laughed, Yunho’s eyes strained on the way his shoulders and back moved underneath the fabric.

They fell silent as a small group walked the stairs between them. One of the guys eyed Mingi as he walked past. Mingi rested his elbow on his knee and propped his chin in his hand, grinning up at him. The man quickly looked away, only to glance back once more and when he did, Mingi’s grin became cheeky, winking at him. The man’s cheeks flushed.

He cleared his throat, building up his confidence, “I’ll make my way back to you, Princess.”

Yunho grit his teeth, glaring at Mingi’s side profile.

“No thanks.”

Hongjoong sighed in a mix of embarrassment and disappointment while Wooyoung cackled loudly. The man rushed off, clearly horrified by the interaction.

“That was so mean of you,” Hongjoong scolded.

Yunho was only slightly relieved by Mingi’s rejection of the man. He knew there was much more flirting to come and he’d have to be witness to all of it. Especially now that it was filled by his nickname for Mingi, their joke, Yunho wanted no part in it. Yunho scooted back, gaining his friends' attention as he stood abruptly.

“I need to find a bathroom,” He announced, sulking his way up the stairs.

Heesung had been smart enough to label the doors. Yunho came face-to-face with one that read “personal bedroom- go in here and I’ll kill you”. Yunho chuckled, continuing down the hall until he reached one that read bathroom, but was occupied. The door label read “bathroom - there’s a half-bath beside the guest room”, so Yunho looked around until he spotted it. It was empty, much to his relief. He tried to swing the door closed behind him, only to jump out of his skin as a foot jammed it before he could.

“Jesus, dude,” Mingi huffed, pushing his way in and closing the door behind him. “I’ve been calling for you.”

“Oh, I didn’t hear,” Yunho responded truthfully.

Mingi leaned against the sink, crossing his arms, “I saw you talking to Wooyoung.”

Yunho bit his tongue, already exhausted with the topic, “Yeah.”

“You two are all good now?”

“Yeah, we’re good. He wasn’t really angry anymore.”

Mingi hummed, eyeing Yunho, “Are you ready to talk about what’s been going on yet?”

Yunho sighed heavily, “Is that why you followed me?”

Mingi continued to stare at him.

“If I’m not, do I have to go back to keeping to myself?” Yunho attempted to glare, but felt it quickly morphed into a frown.

Mingi shook his head, “I shouldn’t have told you that. I was just pissed off and didn’t really mean it. I missed you, even if it was just a few days.”

“You were with Hongjoong,” Yunho blurted out, wishing he could keep his mouth shut, but the dam had opened and he was overflowing. “You were with him the whole time, and even before the fight you were spending a lot of time with him.”

“Yeah,” Mingi agreed, keeping his answer short knowing it would get Yunho to spill more.

“He got to see you in your costume first.”

“Is that what you’re upset over?”

“Well,” Yunho stuttered, “You choose fucking Princess Peach and now you’ve got Hongjoong and all these random people calling you princess and that’s our joke. And they don’t even get it!”

Mingi raised an eyebrow, “You’re jealous.”

Yunho fluttered for a moment, then weakly argued, “You’d be too. That’s been our joke for years and now all these other people are joining in on it.”

“Yunho,” Mingi sighed, shifting uncomfortably, “I didn’t wear the costume as a joke. I picked it because I wanted to wear it.”

Yunho blinked, “Seriously?”

Mingi stared, deadpan, watching the cogs turn in Yunho’s head.

“Okay, yeah,” Yunho nodded slowly, clearing his throat. “But that’s still- and people keep-“ Yunho groaned, letting his head fall back against the wall with a thud.

“What now?” Mingi huffed, “Just keep your jealousy in check for one night. No one is stealing your spot or whatever you think is happening.”

But they are, Yunho thought, his frustration growing. Cause Mingi had been spending all his time with Hongjoong and had been winking at men who called him Princess, and Yunho hadn’t been able to get his mind off of Mingi in a dress since he had bought the stupid thing and now Mingi was stood in front of him wearing it and Yunho thought he was going insane.

“That’s not it,” Yunho squeezed his eyes shut and Mingi sucked his teeth like an annoyed parent.

“Then what’s the issue?” He pushed himself off the sink. “You’ve been acting weird since we brought up costumes and if it’s not some dumb jealousy thing then what really is the issue?”

Yunho’s eyes snapped open, brows furrowing at Mingi’s tone. Mingi stepped closer, coming eye-to-eye with Yunho.

“Tell me, what’s your real issue here?” Mingi’s arms crossed over his chest, the thin fabric straining against his muscles. “What’s wrong with my costume?”

“If you’re implying that I have an issue with you wearing a dress you’re ridiculous,” Yunho shifted his eyes from Mingi’s arms.

“Really? Cause it seems like that’s the issue,” Mingi’s eyes were wide, lashes fluttering in the way they always did when he was teasing someone in his flirty little way, except this time it was directed at Yunho.

Mingi’s tongue poked at the inside of his cheek and his eyebrows raised at Yunho’s silence. Yunho’s skin prickled with sweat underneath his outfit and he wondered if Mingi could hear his heart thumping, the blood rushing through his body, because it was so loud in Yunho’s own ears. Mingi cocked his head, smiling sarcastically like he’d caught Yunho red-handed, and Yunho wanted to tangle his fingers in his hair, prove him wrong.

“Right,” Mingi clicked his tongue, squared shoulders deflating as he dropped the front, looking more disappointed than Yunho had ever seen. “That’s it then.”

“I don’t have an issue with it,” Yunho rushed the words out, “I’m not freaked out or anything, I didn’t even consider you might think that’s what’s going on. I just don’t like how other people are reacting to it.”

“Other people?” Mingi frowned, “So why are you refusing to properly look at me?”

Yunho forced his eyes to focus on Mingi’s. He was sure his face was flushed, the rest of his body was on fire. He swallowed harshly, eyes flickering between Mingi’s. Mingi’s crossed arms dropped, his frown disappearing as his expression became unreadable.

“You’re not weirded out by me wanting to wear a dress?” Mingi’s voice dripped with insecurity. His fists balled up in the fabric, tugging lightly and making the material fluff around his legs.

Yunho shook his head instantly, mouth working before his brain, “Suits you, Princess.”

Mingi’s hand cupped his jaw, pulling him in and Yunho’s stomach exploded. He tugged at Mingi’s hair, his plastic tiara clattering onto the floor. Mingi followed the pull, pushing his body impossibly closer to Yunho’s own and letting his hands travel down to rest on Yunho’s chest. Yunho pulled back suddenly, breath heavy. Mingi followed, their noses brushing together as their lips ghosted over one another.

Yunho moved back slightly, “Wait.”

He swallowed, throat feeling too dry, mind racing. Mingi’s hand ran up his chest and stopped at his nape, playing with the hair at the back of Yunho’s neck. It was too much, too fast, Yunho could barely register anything except Mingi’s touch and the sound of his breath.

“Why?” Mingi’s breath fanned over his face, “Don’t you wanna fuck me?”

Yunho’s breath left his lungs, choking over his words. His head felt like it had popped like a balloon, leaving his mind blank. Mingi wanted him. Mingi wanted Yunho to fuck him. The sole reasons Yunho had rejected his feelings were irrelevant the whole time. Mingi took the opportunity to reconnect their lips, pulling Yunho closer until they were stumbling back into the counter. Yunho reached down and gripped underneath Mingi’s thighs, lifting him with ease to sit him beside the sink. Mingi parted his legs, and Yunho fitted himself between them. Yunho’s hands rested on Mingi’s exposed thighs, squeezing lightly. They travelled up until they finally slipped underneath Mingi’s dress. Mingi let out a surprised sound, startling when Yunho’s hands came in contact with his hips. Yunho chuckled, one of his hands moving back down to Mingi’s thigh and pushing the fabric of Mingi’s underwear further up his thigh to expose more. Yunho regretted his costume choice as the gloves were a consistent layer between his fingertips and Mingi’s skin. Mingi, however, didn’t seem to mind, arching to press more into him and Yunho thought he was so perfect, flinching every now and then when Yunho’s fingers would graze over an area where he was ticklish and giggling against Yunho’s mouth. Wooyoung’s words echoed in Yunho’s head. Could he cross this line with Mingi and go back to the way they were? Could he stay just friends with Mingi? Listen to their friends make jokes about Mingi dating someone else and watch Mingi flirt with random people for hell of it? Yunho pulled away, meeting Mingi’s confused eyes, his pupils blown, and the answer crashed over him, his heart swelling.

“Mingi, seriously,” He breathed out, “Wait.”

Mingi backed down at the desperation in Yunho’s voice, his hands holding onto the edge of the counter.

“It’s just,” Yunho struggled to put his thoughts into words, “You’re my best friend, you know?”

Mingi’s face dropped. He bit down on his bottom lip and nodded, letting his head drop. Yunho sighed, setting his hands on either side of Mingi’s body and leaning forward to rest his forehead on Mingi’s shoulder.

“If we do this, I can’t go back to being just friends,” Yunho squeezed his eyes closed, “So if this is all you want from me, please, let’s just stop here. Otherwise I’ll lose you and I’d rather not have you at all than have you just to lose you. I think I’m, like, in love with you or something,” Yunho chuckled weakly, feeling utterly defeated by Mingi’s silence.

Another beat passed then, “I think I’m, like, in love or something with you too.”

Yunho’s head snapped up, eyes searching Mingi’s for a sign of insincerity, but there was none, only Mingi’s genuine smile.

“You were the last person to figure this out, by the way,” Mingi added in, “Apparently I’ve been incredibly obvious about it.”

Yunho rolled his eyes, “Wooyoung knew what he was doing.”

Yunho tried to mask his grin and failed. Mingi cupped his face and kissed him lightly, igniting a fire in Yunho’s chest.

“You wanna go back to my dorm?” Yunho murmured against Mingi’s lips.

Mingi hummed, “Mine. I have a surprise.”

Yunho raised an eyebrow, moving back so Mingi could hop off the counter, “A surprise?”

“This is not at all how it was supposed to go, but the night was supposed to end at my dorm all along,” Mingi laughed at Yunho’s shocked expression, “Hongjoong’s been helping me plan this for a while, although I’m sure he’ll be fine that we went off script.”

Yunho chuckled in disbelief. He’d been so dumb. He clasped Mingi’s hand in his own as they exited the bathroom. They earned a few suggestive looks from people standing nearby, Yunho smiling bashfully. Their friends still sat on the stairs and they glanced up as the pair approached.

“Welcome back, princess,” San teased, “Yunho.”

“Princess is getting courted,” Yunho responded, lifting their intertwined hands with a grin. “Goodnight.”

“I’m sure you’ll have one,” Wooyoung shot back, San snickering behind him.

They made their way through the house, fingers still intertwined. Mingi giggled once they made it out of the house, Yunho giving his hand a squeeze and nudging him. Mingi pulled himself together only to fall into another fit of giggles when he looked over at Yunho.

“What?” Yunho grinned.

“Sorry, this is just,” Mingi grinned brightly, “I can’t believe this is happening.”

“Me either,” Yunho grinned stupidly.

He hesitated for a moment, eyes flickering from their intertwined fingers to Mingi’s wide grin. He held Mingi’s jaw lightly and pressed a chaste kiss to his lips, biting down his own afterwards. He walked faster, pulling Mingi along with him.

Yunho’s stomach was a mix of excitement and nerves as they approached Mingi’s dorm, “You don’t think Yeosang is planning on coming back soon, do you?”

Mingi snorted, “He’s staying at Hongjoong and Seonghwa’s tonight.”

Mingi opened the door, motioning for Yunho to follow behind him. They kicked their shoes off at the door and Yunho looked around the room, eyes wide. A trail of red and black lead from the door to Mingi’s bed and upon closer inspection, Yunho realised they were hearts. Mingi’s blanket had been switched from his usual plain grey one to a plush black comforter. String lights hung from the wall above Mingi’s bed, illuminating the room with a soft glow. Mingi’s pillows glistened underneath them. Right in the centre of the bed sat a large gift basket overflowing with candies and snacks.

“Sorry, is this dumb?” Mingi rubbed his nape, smiling sheepishly. “Yeah, it’s dumb. I’ll just-”

“You were serious, you’ve been planning all this out,” Yunho interrupted, grinning giddily. “Holy shit, I’ve been so dumb.”

“You like it then?” Mingi questioned unsurely.

“This is so corny,” Yunho giggled, “I love it. I can’t believe you put in so much effort.”

Mingi beamed, bouncing on his heels as he spoke, “The original plan was to invite you to stay the night after the party and I’d confess and if it went well we could watch movies and eat snacks and candy. Obviously that went a bit haywire, but if you wanted to do that still, then, yeah.”

Yunho grinned as Mingi’s ramble trailed off, “Well, we have all night.”

He pulled Mingi in to connect their lips, both smiling into it. Yunho pulled back a moment later, “I will need your help getting out of this though.”

Mingi laughed, nodding in agreement and Yunho turned around, grinning back over his shoulder, “Unzip me?”

Mingi pulled the zipper down slowly, staring at Yunho’s exposed shoulder blades fervently. Suddenly, Yunho whipped around, shoving his hand in Mingi’s face. Mingi screeched, stumbling back and Yunho burst into laughter. His hand still hung in the air between them, formed into the Spiderman web-shooting motion. Yunho jutted out his other hand, pointing it in Mingi’s face as well.

“You’re an asshole,” Mingi deadpanned.

“I’m here to save you, Princess,” Yunho grinned dopily.

“Spiderman doesn’t say that.”

“You want me to be Mario instead?” Yunho’s arms dropped to his side.

“Please, no.”

“Aw,” Yunho's bottom lip poked out, “No roleplay?”

“Maybe later,” Mingi hummed thoughtfully, “Right now I’d rather you just fuck me.”

“Oh,” Yunho’s cheeks dusted pink at the bluntness, eyes shining brightly. “Yeah, I can do that.”

Mingi shrieked again as Yunho scooped him up bridal-style, carrying him to the bed. He placed Mingi down, moving the basket of snacks to the floor. Yunho then stepped back to strip himself of his costume. Yunho managed as much gracefulness as Bambi on ice. He struggled to free his arms and continued to struggle with the rest. Mingi watched in amusement. The fabric caught Yunho's foot, him falling onto the bed and kicking it the rest of the way off. Mingi covered his mouth to stifle his laughter.

“Enjoying the show?” Yunho chuckled, winking teasingly.

Mingi cracked, laughter filling the air between them, “Can’t you try to be sexy for once?”

“I am!” Yunho defended himself. He crawled toward Mingi, the latter breaking into another fit of laughter at the sight.

Yunho shoved against his chest and Mingi fell back into the blanket, propping himself on his elbows. Yunho lifted the bottom of Mingi’s dress as he spoke, “Like you could do it any more sexy than I did.”

“I definitely could,” Mingi argued back, “The bar is literally on the floor.”

Yunho kneaded at Mingi’s thighs right above where his thigh highs stopped, lips grazing over the skin, “Spiderman is very sexy, thank you.”

“You’re literally naked and crawling at me like some sort of-” Mingi gasped loudly, falling back against the sheets. Yunho mouthed over his clothed cock, humming softly when Mingi fell silent.

“Continue?” Yunho’s head poked over the fluffy dress, lips stretched into a teasing grin.

“I’m good,” Mingi’s voice went up in pitch, his eyes squeezing shut.

Yunho chuckled and sat up on his knees, motioning for Mingi to sit up as well. Yunho unzipped Mingi’s dress for him. His breath caught in his throat, the sleeves slipping from Mingi’s broad shoulders with ease. Mingi lifted his hips from the bed, allowing Yunho to slide the dress down his legs. Yunho tossed it aside carelessly, eyes raking over Mingi’s body heatedly. Mingi strained against his underwear, legs spread seductively.

“What was it you said earlier?” Mingi’s head tilted, the lights twinkled in his eyes.

“Yeah,” Yunho breathed out, “You win, whatever.”

Mingi grinned and lifted his hips again, inviting Yunho to undress him fully. Yunho discarded Mingi’s underwear, fingers toying with the thigh highs after.

“These can stay on,” Yunho ran his finger underneath the hem and pulled on it. He let go, causing the material to snap against Mingi’s skin.

Mingi’s eyes fluttered shut at the action, head craning back, “You’re such a weirdo.”

“You want me so bad,” Yunho drawled, grinning. “Please tell me you have lube and condoms.”

“Obviously,” Mingi scoffed, “Look in the snack basket.”

“Seriously?” Yunho snorted. He clambered off the bed to rummage through the basket, bursting into laughter when he got to the bottom. “I don’t even know what to say to you.”

He resettled in his spot between Mingi’s legs, setting the condom to the side. The lube bottle opened with a pop, Yunho pouring a considerate amount over three of his fingers. He used his thumb to spread it over the digits and leaned over to look Mingi in the eye as he pushed his first finger in. Mingi scrunched his nose uncomfortably and Yunho started speaking to distract him.

“You really had the night all planned out, huh?”

A smile grazed Mingi’s features, him relaxing and laying back against the blanket, “That was a precaution, just in case.”

“Sure,” Yunho added a second, scissoring Mingi open. “How long have you been trying to get me into bed?”

Mingi chuckled, shaking his head. Yunho nipped at his inner thigh and Mingi squeaked, hips jerking upwards.

“Tell me,” Yunho demanded.

“Since I met you,” Mingi confessed, “Are you seriously that oblivious?”

Yunho’s mouth hung in disbelief, “Apparently.”

He put a hand on the pillow beside Mingi’s head, hovering over the man. The pillow suddenly shot from under him, flying off the bed. Yunho fell, barely catching himself with his elbow and saving his and Mingi’s heads from colliding.

“What the fuck?” He exclaimed, running his hand over the black sheets. Mingi covered his mouth as he shook with laughter. “Is this satin? Did you buy satin sheets for this?”

Mingi nodded, unable to answer through his laughter. He calmed himself, “I just wanted to try it out.”

“Trying to take me out,” Yunho scoffed, adjusting to balance on his hand.

“I didn’t think you could fuck up this much,” Mingi giggled.

Yunho clicked his tongue in disapproval. He twisted his wrist, all three fingers now buried in Mingi, and thrusted knuckle deep.

“Oh, god,” Mingi fell into a groan, tossing his arms over his eyes. “Stop doing that when I’m trying to make fun of you.”

Yunho pulled his fingers out and thrust back in, humming thoughtfully, “I might need to do this for a bit longer, I’m not sure you’re ready yet.”

Mingi grit his teeth, patience wearing thin, “Don’t tease.”

“I’m not,” Yunho faked concern, “I just want to make sure you’re all stretched open.”

Mingi’s dick twitched painfully and he caved easily, his arm slipping beside his head as he widened his eyes pleadingly.

“Please, fuck me,” His voice cracked, “Yunho, please, I need you so badly.”

Yunho sat up quickly, also giving in easily, “Well, since you asked so nicely.”

Mingi hissed as Yunho removed his fingers, shivering at the emptiness. Yunho ripped the condom packaging open with his teeth, a shock of arousal shooting through Mingi at the sight. Yunho rolled it on with ease.

“Do that often?” Mingi scoffed teasingly.

Yunho tilted his head to the side with a smirk. He gripped the underside of Mingi’s thighs and tugged Mingi closer, his thighs on either side of Yunho’s waist, “How often did you fuck those guys you flirted with in front of me?”

He squirted more lube into his palm, looking at Mingi questioningly when silence followed. He stroked himself as Mingi chuckled breathlessly, “Does it count if I didn’t call them after?”

Yunho clicked his tongue disapprovingly, lining himself up with Mingi’s entrance, “You’re such a dick.”

Yunho lifted Mingi’s hips as he pushed in, large hands encasing Mingi’s waist. Mingi’s mouth fell open, eyes squeezing shut at the stretch. Yunho’s head craned back, snapping up once he bottomed out to check on Mingi.

Sluggishly, Yunho leaned to kiss along Mingi’s jaw, “Good?”

“Yeah,” Mingi’s voice was strained, “Don’t go slow, we’ve already drug this out for an hour.”

Yunho sat back up, one hand gripping the underside of Mingi’s thigh and the other holding his hip. He pulled out, thrusting back in slowly despite Mingi’s request. A drawn-out whine fell from Mingi’s lips, his fingers flexing against the sheets. Yunho picked up the pace once it seemed Mingi was adjusted. Mingi was vocal, whining and moaning with each movement. Suddenly Mingi cried out, back arching and legs wrapping around Yunho’s waist.

“Oh god,” He choked out, legs tightening to try and get Yunho even deeper. “Right there, harder.”

Yunho hooked one of Mingi’s legs over his shoulder, snapping his hips and causing Mingi to cry out once more. Yunho hovered over Mingi’s body, bending his leg to his chest. His bangs hung in front of his eyes and he peered through them to glimpse at Mingi, breath catching at his expression. Mingi’s eyes squeezed shut, his mouth agape, skin flushed red. Yunho reached between their bodies, wrapping his hand around Mingi’s cock and catching the pre-come with his thumb. Mingi gasped, chest heaving. Yunho rubbed his thumb in a circular motion over Mingi’s tip, eyes strained on Mingi’s face. Mingi’s jaw went slack, mouth opened in a silent moan. His body jerked with every thrust, Yunho’s hips snapping against his own. His eyes opened languidly, head lolling to the side to look into Yunho’s eyes. His hair sprayed over the sheets, eyes reflecting the lights back at Yunho. Yunho couldn’t look away from the sight. Eyes boring into Mingi, Yunho’s lips ghosted over his skin then pressed firmly to Mingi’s inner thigh sending electricity sparking through his body.

“So beautiful, Princess,” Yunho muttered against his skin.

Mingi’s eyes widened a fraction then closed completely as a breathy, high-pitched whine ripped from his throat. Yunho pumped his hand in time with his thrusts, increasing in speed when Mingi’s hips started to jerk. Mingi’s lips opened and closed repeatedly, trying to speak, but only choked sounds escaped. Yunho hushed him softly.

“I got you,” Yunho’s voice was unsteady, “Come for me.”

Mingi’s back arched, head thrown back as a final cry fell from his lips. His body went limp, eyes blinking beadily up at Yunho. Yunho’s fingers dug into Mingi’s skin, breathing heavy as his stomach tightened. He groaned, head craned back and tightening his hold on Mingi before he let go completely. His hands on either side of Mingi's body, Yunho crouched over, catching his breath. Mingi’s knee nudged his side and Yunho finally peered up, instantly grinning at the sight of Mingi already smiling down at him. He kissed Mingi’s hip bone, then the other, then leaned up to kiss his chest, right over Mingi’s heart. Mingi laughed breathlessly, flicking Yunho away. He sat up and stretched his arms, joints popping. Mingi hissed when he pulled out, Yunho shooting an apologetic grin his way. He stood, legs wobbling under his weight, and disappeared into the bathroom. He reappeared only a second later with a rag. Mingi laid boneless as Yunho cleaned his stomach.

“Can you take these socks off now?”

Yunho snorted, “Need help?”

“My leg is sore,” Mingi frowned, lifting it and dropping it back down on the bed for effect.

Yunho rolled them off, dropping them and the rag to the floor afterwards. Still sporting a grin, Yunho clambered back onto the bed and flopped on top of Mingi who huffed in annoyance but instantly turned to wrap himself around the other.

“Wanna watch the Mario movie?”

Yunho grinned against Mingi’s shoulder, chest thrumming happily, “Sure, princess.”
