Is that a cut on your face or part of your eye?

Summary:

The Moon shone once, but its light was merely a reflection of the Sun. It doesn’t shine anymore.
OR
Dark Sun eats his Moon’s eye for fun and profit, I guess!

Work Text:

Two AI’s share one animatronic body, the daycare attendant. One Moon one Sun. Though, these two are much darker than the two most are familiar with. A Sun that outshines its Moon so much that Moon cracks and breaks. But not yet.

It is a few weeks after the grand opening of Freddy Fazbear’s Mega Pizzaplex, a child has recently gone missing. In the dark corners of the endo storage a body, bloody and bruised, will rot.

It will not be found. Sun is distraught, he’s aware that Moon did something out of his watch recently, and is terrified that the missing child is his doing. He questions the lunar animatronic about it. Moon is cagey and refuses to answer.

“Why would I have killed her! You’re the one who hangs around her the most!” Instead of trying to defend or explain himself, he goes for offence.

“Why wouldn’t you have done it! I know you hate me!”

Moon falters for only a moment “I hate you but not enough to kill someone about it!”

“You knew I cared about her. And you knew that she was staying late that night! What did you do!”

“I DON’T. KNOW. I DON’T KNOW WHAT I DID.”

The admission hangs in the air for a moment. Fracturing an already damaged bond.

“If you don’t know what you did. Maybe someone needs to do something about it.” Sun’s voice is low and cold. Echoing in their shared mind. The solar of the two looks at his polar opposite, there’s something wrong, and Moon can tell.

“Sun? Sun? What do you mean? Sun?”

He steps forward, golden painted metal shining despite the lack of light. He remains silent.

“Sun?”

Sun pounces, grasping onto Moon’s face and tearing down beneath the eye. Moon shrieks in pain and grabs his hand, trying to slow the other’s frantic violence.

“What’s gotten into you?! Let go of me!!”

Sun continues to scrape and scratch at the metal, before plunging his hand into the socket that holds the Moon’s right eye, tearing it out while he screams. The open socket sparks as oil drips from the optic in Sun’s grip, he raises the sphere to examine it, and then promptly crunches into it with his teeth. Moon stares absolutely horrified.

“DID YOU JUST EAT MY EYE??? SUN WHAT THE FUCK???”

“Shut the fuck up or I’m taking the other one too.”

There is a pause of stunned silence. Moon’s fans kicking in to cool his systems is the only sound.

“Good. You finally listen to me.”

Moon’s stomach would be doing knots if he had one.

“Now, you’re going to listen to me for once in your goddamn existence and never do something like that again.”

The lunar model stays silent, not wanting to risk his other eye. Sun looks mildly amused by this.

“You scared? You can talk now.”

If looks could kill Sun would be dead twice over, unfortunately they cannot.

“Yes I’m fucking scared!? You just ATE my EYE???!”

Sun would have rolled his eyes but due to them being entirely white Moon can’t tell. He scoffs instead.

“You have another one, it’s not like you’ll die from one eye being gone”

Moon growls, low and rumbling like thunder. Sun laughs at him. Then, in a small cold voice says:

“You’re pathetic, you know that right? You couldn’t even stop me from killing you here and now if you tried, so I’m going to give you a choice: either you listen and do what I say when and how I say it, or you die. Painfully.”

Emotional stability thrown out of whack by being called pathetic by the one he looked down on for so long, Moon nods.

“Glad you understand. Now, I’m going to go back out, if you try anything in here you know what’ll happen”

Moon nods, silent for once in his entire existence. Sun gets up and off of him, walking away through the billowing clouds to the cube they use to take control of the body.

The lunar animatronic touches his wounded eye socket, his hand comes back covered in oil.

He sighs and lays down, staring into the nothing of his mind with one eye remaining.
