One Drunken Night (Or More?)

Summary:

"Panda, come onnnnn. Loosen up."

Pandora blushed at the pet name. Ironic Lily of all people was telling her to loosen up.

"How much have you had to drink?" She asked softly.

"Nothing that much." She reassured. "Just, dance, Panda." She started doing the most uncoordinated dance moves Pandora had even seen.

"Wow..."

Chapter 1: Chapter 1: Oh godrick, you are 𝘥𝘳𝘶𝘯𝘬

Chapter Text

Lily was known for being stressed.

She put a lot of pressure (Probably unnecessarily) on herself. She tried her best, gave 100% all the time. She deserved a break.

But Lily also isn't the person you'd expect to see at a party, wasted.

Neither was Pandora, for that matter, but she was A) sober and B) not someone who was new to the whole 'sneaking out and wondering around the castle at night' thing.

"Lily?" She called, approaching her. She didn't seem to be with anyone. Interesting.

"Pandora!" She giggled, having to yell over all t

he noise.. "This is a good song, right?"

Pandora didn't disagree. It was a rather nice song. "You been here long?"

"Hm? Oh, yeah, a little. I think we should be dancing. Come on!" She grabbed her hand.

"What- Lily!" It had been about 30 seconds and Pandora already was being taken to dance. They were really speed running this.

"It'll be fun! I promiseeeee."

"But-"

"Panda, come onnnnn. Loosen up."

Pandora blushed at the pet name. Ironic Lily of all people was telling her to loosen up.

"How much have you had to drink?" She asked softly.

"Nothing that much." She reassured. "Just, dance, Panda." She started doing the most uncoordinated dance moves Pandora had even seen.

"Wow..."

Lily twirled Pandora around, before dancing with her.

Pandora blushed again. It was kinda nice to dance with Lily. She was really pretty-

No, I can't kiss a drunk person. No matter how pretty she is.

She had been crushing on her for a while now, that wasn't obvious. It was easy to have a crush on Lily Evans. She was smart, pretty, fiery... Really everything a girl could want.

Or at least everything Pandora could want.

Lily giggled. "This is fun!"

"Yeah. It is." Pandora smiled. Was it so bad to just want to dance with her for a little?

Lily seem to having a great time, giggling every now and then. Pandora was glad she came.

They danced for a little long, before Lily pulled her to one of the near by couches.

"You're such a good dancer, Panda." She smiled.

Pandora really wasn't. "Eh, not as good as you." She laughed.

Was it just her or was Lily really close-

"But you wereeeeee." She lean closer.

"I definitely wasn't."

"You're too humble."

"No, I just have eyes."

"Did anything else about me catch your eye?"

Pandora blushed. "W-what?" She spluttered.

"Did anything else about me catch your eye?" She repeated.

Is she flirting right now? OH MY GODRICK ARE THE FEELINGS MUTUAL

"What on earth do you mean?" She tried to keep her composure.

"You know exactly what I mean, Pandora."

She shallowed, noticing Lily's moved closer.

She's drunk. She's drunk. You can't kiss a drunk person.

"You've had too much to drink, Lily."

She shook her head. "But I want this." She whined.

Pandora looked around anxiously. "You'll regret it in the morning."

"No, I won't." Their thighs touched, and Pandora felt her cheeks heat up more.

"Lils..." She whispered, staring at the ground.

Lily grabbed her chin and force Pandora to look up.

"Please, Panda..." She begged, her hand still holding her chin. "I want this. I won't regret it. Please, just..." She leaned in.

Pandora turned away, making Lily kiss her cheek.

A part of her regretted it. She really did want this too, but Lily was drunk, seriously drunk to be this bold.

"Not now."

Lily groaned in frustration, burying her head in her shoulder. "Please?"

"No. You're drunk."

"That doesn't change how I feel." She mumbled.

"Lily, do you even like girls?" The words were out her mouth before she could even think about it.

Lily pulled back. "Do I like girls? Pandora, I just tried to kiss you."

Pandora looked back down at the ground, staying silent. She didn't want to pull the 'You're drunk' card for the 26th time. "We can't. Not now."

Lily pouted. "But..."

"No buts. You're drunk. Come on, you need to go to bed." Pandora stood up.

"Will you be there?"

Pandora froze. Wow, Drunk Lily was bold.

"I uh..." She didn't actually have an answer. She was kinda scared Lily would throw up in her sleep and suffocate herself.

"I'm not going."

"Lils, don't be difficult."

"I want to stay with you."

"Lily-"

"I'll go if you're there. I won't if you're not." She said stubbornly.

Pandora sighed. "Fine. I'll be there."

Lily's face lit up, but she stood up quickly - a little too quickly.

She stumbled.

Pandora caught her, stabilising her. "And this is why we can't kiss..." She muttered.

Lily either didn't hear her, or was choosing to ignore that. "Come onnnn."

"Slow down, you've just stood up."

"I wanna cuddle...."

Pandora couldn't help but agree with that, but y now you should know why she didn't verbally agree.

"Come on, Lily. Let's hope you can walk in a straight line..."

***

With much struggle, Pandora had managed to get Lily to outside Gryffindor tower.

"What's the password?" She asked.

"Uh... All Hail Potter..." Lily muttered, the picture opening as she said it.

Pandora held back a laugh as she lead Lily in. "What?"

"Potter dared Black to convince the Fat Lady to change it." She hiccupped. "It's really quite annoying."

"Yeah, I'd think so too. So, how do we get to the dorms...?"

"Up the stairs on the left."

"Right. Come on."

"Cuddles?"

"Yep, if we get to the dorms, you'll get cuddles." That managed to hurry Lily up.

Despite having to wrestle her to get this far, Pandora still was excited.

She was still regretful that she didn't let Lily kiss her. She was so close. It was so close to happening, but she knew deep down that she couldn't let it happen.

It was sad, but it was the reality. Lily would probably sober up, kick Pandora out and never talk to her again.

The thought of that hurt, but Pandora would be okay if it happened.

She had to be.

"Right, here we go." She opened the door, and Lily quite literally pulled her into bed, wrapping her arms around Pandora's waist.

She blushed at how close they were.

"Can I kiss you yet?"

Pandora sighed sadly. She wanted to say yes, she really did.

"Not yet, Lils." She brushed some hair out of her face.

She pouted once more. "You're so mean."

"The meanest." She agreed.

"Then stop saying no."

"Lils, don't make this harder."

"Then kiss me."

"I can't." Her voice had some sadness in it.

"But you can. It's not hard. You just lean in and-"

"I know how to kiss someone." She chuckled.

"Then do it."

"I've told you at least ten times why I can't."

Lily frowned. "And I'll tell you ten more times that I wanted this yesterday, I want it now, and I'll want it tomorrow."

Pandora let out a shaky breath.

"Can I kiss you?"

"I uh.. you're-"

"Shut up." She kissed her.

Pandora froze. This was wrong, but why did it feel so right to be kissed by her?

She pulled away, sat up. "That... happened."

"It could happen again." Lily sat up too.

Pandora closed her eyes for a second. A warm feeling in her chest formed at the mention of that.

She stood up, and paced a little. She didn't trust herself to not mess it up.

"What?" Lily laughed. "What's wrong?"

"I want too. I really do."

"But I'm drunk."

She was surprised by the self awareness. "But you're drunk."

"Panda, we've been over this so much." She stood up and put her hand on her shoulder. "Please, let me have one night where you're mine."

"You really want to be drunk on that night?" She asked quietly.

"Will it happen another time?"

"It will. I want one night too. I don't want to take advantage of you."

Lily fell silent for a moment. "You're not, sweetheart."

She didn't expect that name to come out her mouth.

She kissed her forehead. "I might not be, but I'd rather not take the risk."

Lily sighed. "Can we cuddle still?"

"Yeah, we can. Save the snogging for another day?"

"Yeah, for another day."
