Ichika Hoshino prayed to Ichika's goddess, Miku, everyday. All residents of the planet have struggled since the start of time. People did not have a different word to use to replace events. People had to fully describe events or refer to an object by the objects name.
The king called Ichika's father to the palace because Shinatarou, the king, needed Ichika's father and the king's other generals to strategize for the army's attack. Ichika's father decided to bring Ichika with Ichika's father.
"Saki! How is Saki? Months have passed since Ichika has last seen Saki, Ichika misses Saki greatly!" Ichika said to Ichika's best friend, the princess.
"Saki missed Ichika very much too! Saki has just received a letter from Shiho! The papers are in Saki's bedroom!" Saki greeted Ichika.
Words exchanged were always confusing. Nouns must have an alternative. People can not keep speaking in a way where people can not replace words for clearness and efficiency. Speaking is very difficult without the missing words.
"Miku, please give the people better ways of conversing." Ichika thought once again.
Ichika would think to Ichika, "Miku, please give the people better ways of conversing," every time Ichika spoke with a person.
Because Ichika was at the palace, Ichika decided to tell the king about Ichika's irritation with the language spoken on the planet Ichika and the other citizens reside on. The king considered Ichika's complaint and realized that the language really did have problems. The king called for the king's sorcerer, Rui Kamishiro.
"Rui, Shintarou Tenma needs Rui to fix the language," the king said.
"Of course. Rui will ensure of the language's improvement." Rui replied.
"Shintarou is very grateful for Rui's existence."
Rui immediately started on finding a solution. Rui returned to Rui's quarters. The room contained a large bookshelf along with hundreds of old scrolls. Rui is certain that Rui will find useful information in Rui's research.
After what must have been at least five hours, Rui finally figured out a spell. Rui went to one of the castle's towers and summoned a glowing red sphere.
He shouted the words and threw his magic sphere in the air, watching it expand and travel across the entire world.
It was done. Rui Kamishiro just invented pronouns.
It was greatly celebrated, people were sure to use his creation in the events they held. It was so beloved that the Great Goddess Hatsune Miku herself descended from her palace to see him that night.
"Miku! My goddess!" he stared at her in awe, watching her twintails flow. She slowly flew towards his window.
"Thank you, Father of Pronouns," she said, before fading back into the night.
There was a knock on his door. The king entered.
"Rui, my sorcerer! I must reward you! Anything can be your's. What do you want?" he asked.
Without hesitation, Rui said, "Can I kiss your son?"
To his surprise, the king agreed.
