Pun snuggled closer to the warm pillow still hungover from last day's shenanigans. The sunlight from the drawn curtains was getting to his eyes and he was slowly waking up. He cursed silently as he wished to spend more time in bed. It had been days since he got some sleep as he was busy studying for exams.
He sighed as he heard long snores and slowly realized they were still at Peem’s place as they were too tired to get back to their respective homes even when Tan's friends went back to theirs. He threw a pillow towards the direction of the snore. He heard a groan and the snoring finally stopped. He remembers Tan whining and begging for his “teerak” to stay back. That idiot. He still doesn't know how Fang is able to tolerate his snores while sleeping on his chest comfortably.
He was so comfortably cuddling the pillow that he was a bit startled when he realized that the said pillow was breathing. He opened his eyes alarmed only to realize he had been snuggling Chain who was still past asleep.
He pauses as the memories from the night before came crashing in his mind. He blinked as he recalled the events.
Chain had asked him to be his boyfriend! And they kissed!!!! Not one but two times. And the kiss was everything and nothing that he imagined it to be like. Surreal! Ughhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!
Did Chain really ask him to be his boyfriend or was that a dream ? He subconsciously touched his lips as he got lost in thoughts.
He had probably woken up to this same scene many times. He had cuddled Chain before too. But somehow today felt different. He was successfully hiding his crush on Chain for the past few years and was getting really good at hiding his feelings. If this was just a drunken dream it did feel real and it would take him a few weeks to get over this. He was still immersed in his thoughts when he got hit right on his head.
“Owww. What was that for Peem” Pun rubbed his head as he turned around to find that Peem, Q and Tan had finally woken up.
"Nothing just felt like it. By the way why are you touching your lips" Peem said smugly as he started smirking.
“What??? I wasn't" Pun said immediately.
“Wow, high pitched squeaking. So convincing man.” Q said, as he patted Pun’s back.
“What are you all on about? It’s nothing. Just had a weird dream last night. I was thinking about it.” Pun said, not taking his eyes away from Chain.
Peem blinked. And blinked again. Q and Tan exchanged glances. Chain stirred in his sleep with all the voices around him.
“Excuse me what?” Tan said, his jaw still on the floor.
"Dont tell me you dont remember yesterday?" Peem said as he glanced between Chain and Pun.
"What?" Pun asked, looking between Tan and Peem.
"You don't remember yesterday?" Chain said, absolutely sobered up from his slumber looking worried.
Pun gulped and looked at Peem and the others as if to say to please leave the room.
Peem nodded his head and said "We’ll be downstairs if you need us. We were about to go prepare breakfast"
Chain nodded as Peem,Tan and Q shuffled out of the room murmuring shit to themselves.
"Please tell me you remember yesterday," Chain said pleadingly.
"I don't," Pun said flatly, feigning innocence. Chain’s face fell as he looked everywhere else but Pun’s face."I think you should remind me what happened yesterday.'' Pun said with a smirk which went unnoticed by Chain.
"Well....we..." Chain’s stutters were cut short as Pun launched forward to get Chains lips in his. Chain caught him as he fell backwards to the bed feeling soft lips on him. Pun slid on his lap and held his face and slowly closed the distance between them as he had always imagined. He knew he did the same the day before but somehow doing it sober made it a lot better. A lot real.
Chain had to bite back a moan as Pun’s hands went from around his neck to his hair as he nibbled on his lower lip. He realized that kissing Pun has become one of his favorite things to do.He slid his hands around Pun’s waist to pull him closer. He wanted to continue even longer but the need to breathe caused them to part. They smiled at each other their foreheads still connected
“So you do remember huh?” Chain replied with a soft smile as he held Pun’s hand in his.
“Of Course I remember! It's not everyday that the love of my life asks me out right ? How was I supposed to forget that?” Pun said as if Chain said the most stupid thing ever.
“The love of your life ????”Chain said, as he choked on his saliva.”
“Of Course. You didn't know ?” Pun asked, confused.
Chain shaked his head. “Absolutely not. You always seem to reject any advances I make.”
“I thought I was being optimistic and being delusional whenever you did stuff. Didn't even think once that you would be actually interested in me”. Pun said,sadly. “I'm quite surprised that you didn't know that I liked you. I thought I was the oblivious one among us ?” He said with a huff.
“You really were, everyone else knew I liked you except you. They didn't know that you liked me.”
“That is because I've trained myself to be immune to any feelings that may occur when you do kind shit to me. I dont show it in front of them dumbass. I've been in love with you since highschool. So I had to be more cautious, you know.”
“What ???? High school?” Chain said his mouth open.
“Yess. Pardon me if I have become good at masking my feelings for you while you were on dates every other day.” Pun said sarcastically.
“But that was one time in my first year of college,” Chain said.“Why didn't you tell me”
“I didn't want to ruin this,” he said, gesturing between the two of them. “You are my best friend and I can't afford to lose you. You know?”
“Hmm I get you. But you know nothing can ruin this right ?” Chain said, mimicking exactly what Pun did.
“I know.” He said with a smile as he squeezed the other's hand.
“By the way….” Chain said as he pulled Pun closer “I didn't know you were such a good kisser.”
Chain thought Pun would pull away or be shy. But he soon found out that he was quite wrong.
“Oh you have many more things to find out babe.” Pun said, winking at his boyfriend.
Chains face changed color as he looked up at Pun as if a deer caught in headlight.
“Aww are you shyyy. That's so cute” Pun said, pinching Chain's cheeks.
“Stoppppp you were not like this before. Just act normally. I'm getting chills.” Chain said.
“Uh ah I’ve been waiting for years to call you babe. I mean i never thought i would be able to get to call you babe but still. By the way, when did you start liking me?”
“I'm not sure. I think I've always been in love with you. I was never brave enough to come to terms with my feelings I guess.”
“Hmmm…. So when is my boyfriend going to take me out” Pun asked mischievously.
“It's nice to hear you call me my boyfriend. It has a nice ring to it ”
“Are we going to be gross like Tan and Fang” Pun said, scrunching his nose.
“I'm afraid we might,” Chain said as he laughed.
They were startled as knocks were heard from outside. It was Tan, Q and Peem.
“Can you guys be gross elsewhere other than my bedroom?” Peem said as he scrunched his nose in disgust.
“Heyyyy!!! Were you eavesdropping on our conversation?” Chain said, seemingly offended.
“We just thought we should check up on you” Tan said making an equally disgusted face. “Didnt know it was a ploy to get us out so that you two can fuck.”
“What ?? They are fucking ?? In my bed ????”Peem asked, horrified.
"We are not. What the hell" Chain said.
“Good” Peem said, seemingly relieved.
“Well… not yet.” Pun said snickering as he saw his three friends' disgusted faces.
“Wow, I think this might be fun. Now I don't need to find reasons to annoy you. I can just be clingy with my boyfriend. Nice.” Pun said with a satisfied smile as he gave a sloppy kiss to his boyfriend who seemed equally amused.
“MY EYES MY EYES” Q said, as he closed his eyes with his hands.
"Ok babe we can continue this later" Pun said as he got off Chain's lap to go downstairs for breakfast.
"Eww when did you two become gross" Tan said in exasperation.
"Now you know exactly how we feel," Chain said, quite satisfied with himself.
