Tutubarão, The Great White Shark was walking calmly through the ocean, she was so happy because she had managed to catch a good hunt, so she was well fed to continue his journey with her babies that were still in her womb.
This was her first pregnancy, the older sharks had already explained to her everything that would happen. Although she was confident about being a first-time mother, she feared those monstrous beings of the land whose presence haunted even the ancient sharks. Abominable beings, and difficult to describe, were not inhabitants of the waters, they are evil beings that like to capture other animals just for their own pleasure.
She never had the unfortunate surprise of encountering one of these, but others have, and it's horrible what these monsters do, especially to the puppies. In the middle of her daydreams, she heard a sound that scared her to her core coming from the surface. She knew that was the monsters, and getting closer she recognized the smell of another shark, her friend, Machado, the Hammerhead Shark. These beings were trying to attack her with those claws that went through the water and almost caught her. Even though she was very scared, she couldn't leave her friend alone.
“BESTIE, WATCH OUT!” shouted Tutubarão, when another claw came out of the surface and almost hit Machado, but she managed to avoid it.
“Tutubarão!” said Machado in relief, heading towards her friend. " Good that I found you. These monsters were after me for some time”, said the friend, relieved to find another shark.
The relief was short-lived, suddenly another claw from the monsters passed through the middle of the two, narrowly catching Tutubarão. “BESTIE” shouted Machado.
“I’m fine,” said Tutubarão, swimming away from the claws. “Machado, do you remember what Dona Raia told us? If we turn these monsters over and they fall into the water, they lose their claws and become tiny.”
“I tried when they released the first claw, but I couldn't turn them. Do you think we’ll make it in two?”
"We can try. Ready?” asked Tutubarão, heading towards the attack.
“Ready!” Machado positioned himself next to his friend.
"Excellent. Let’s attack this one that’s in our line.”
"Right!"
“On three, One.. Two.. THREE!" Both threw themselves against the metallic being that fell face down. The screams of despair when the colony fell apart and these lands beings left in despair, some returning to the surface, others unable to climb back up and sinking deeper and deeper.
Tutubarão couldn't feel sorry for them, these beings were trying to attack them for no reason, messing up the cycle of life. They circled around them twice just to scare them and moved far away, now they were completely harmless.
After a lot of laughter, Machado said, “Wow bestie, that was fun despite being scary! I'm glad you were passing by because otherwise they could have caught me.”
“Don’t even tell me, I’m glad I found you.”
“By the way, where are you going?”
“I’m heading to warmer waters to give birth.”
“Oh!” exclaimed Machado, only now noticing his friend's belly, circling with excitement and joy. “That’s amazing, congratulations! Can I go together? I can’t wait to meet my nephews.”
“Thank you, Of course I would love for you to come along.”
The two friends followed their path together as they swam the fastest of the scary monsters, which from the screams of despair didn't seem so terrifying anymore. They were calmer because they knew that sooner, these monstrous beings would drown and die. Tutubarão was more confident now, knowing that she would be able to protect her children from these disgusting beings.
