Soraye didn’t understand what was going on, she was still upset over her parents' death. When the blonde-haired man with wings took her to this place she could only describe as ‘white and powerful’, she was still confused. Where was Sakae and Lune? Minhyeok? If this was heaven as the people said, where were her parents? Did she die? Did she leave Sakae back home by himself? She wanted to crawl into a ball and cry. She was only 4. “Where’s momma and papa?” The young girl asked, looking up at the blonde-haired man who took her here. He looked down at Soraye but didn’t reply before returning to conversation with the silver-haired man and the black-haired man who only had one eye. “...I wanna go home…” Soraye was scared, she missed her brother and her cat. Looking around, she saw lots of men around, all wearing white and having wings and halos. They were all staring at her, their gazes locked on her. A few moments passed before she started to cry and wail, clinging to the man who brought her here. “..Tch, what an annoying little brat…” Hisses the black-haired man with only one eye. The man who Soraye was clinging to picked her up by the collar of her shirt. “You’re loud. Shut up.” He says, which only causes Soraye to cry more and more. “Brother, may I shut her up?” “For once I am going to say no. If she is the reincarnation, or at least blessed by our Lord, then we mustn’t bid any sort of harm on her.” “Take her to Tatrasiel, he’ll know what to do with the girl for now.”
“Oh, it's been forever since I’ve taken care of any children, of course, I’ll watch over her!” Soraye was now in a room with Raphael and an elderly man with wings, he had two pairs of wings and long violet-red hair that went to his knees. He was adorned in white and gold silk robes, multiple holy marks scattered his arms and he looked very kind unlike most of the people Soraye had seen so far. Picking the young girl up, the elderly man smiled softly at her. “Hello there young one, I’m Tatrasiel!” “..Tatra.. sei.. siel.. Tatasei..?” “Close enough, welcome to your new home young one!” For the first time that day, Soraye smiled and giggled a little. Tatrasiel had this happy presence that made Soraye smile. “So you’ll watch over her until we are ready for her enchantment?” Raphael asked, watching Tatrasiel spin Soraye around in the air. “Enchantments? You are going to enchant a human child?” “Gabriel wants to turn her into an angel.” Tatrasiel’s eyes widened slightly. “Angelification on a human child is widely different than on a devil!” Tatrasiel protested, holding the child close to his chest. “Our Lord forbade us from using such enchantments on humans! She could die!” “Since when did that ever matter? Besides, if she’s the one blessed by our Lord she’ll be fine.” “Yet she is still a child nonetheless, have you ever thought about what might happen mentally to her?” Tatrasiel wanted to protect this child, not cause more harm to her. “You’ll have to talk to Gabriel about that, not me. Goodbye, Tatrasiel.” Raphael left the tower, leaving Tatrasiel and Soraye. “...Ugh, those Seraphim are going to be the end of heaven.” Tatrasiel looked down at Soraye who was also looking up at him. “What is your name, child?” “..Soraye…” “Soraye, a name that invokes compassion and uniqueness.” Tatrasiel chuckled and brought Soraye to a soft bed. “It’s late, get some rest, my child, I’ll teach you about our world when you awake, alright?” “..Alright, Tatasei..” slowly but surely, Soraye fell asleep.
Once Tatrasiel was sure that Soraye was asleep, off he went to confront Gabriel about his plan. It was already bad enough that the Seraphim resorted to removing childhood from the new angels and having them fight in this useless war. Tatrasiel was an angel who was originally a human but died by accident on one of Raphael’s trips to Earth. God then chose to take Tatrasiel’s soul and make him an angel as an apology for Raphael’s actions, one who watched over childbirth in Heaven and taught them about Earth and Hell, despite Gabriel’s protests that the young angels should learn all about God instead. It was only after God disappeared that Tatrasiel stopped teaching the new angels about Earth and Hell, and when Lucifer fell to Hell, he was ‘banished’ to his tower, the same one Soraye was currently sleeping in. “GABRIEL! Are you insane?!” Crashing through the doors of the altar where Gabriel spent most of his hours when he wasn’t down in Hell, killing innocent devils. “Angelifying a human child?! That’s insane! Do you know it might affect Soraye mentally?!” Tatrasiel was fuming, he couldn’t believe Gabriel would do such a thing. “And? The girl is only so young, she won't remember anything.” “She might not remember what happened, but she will always remember the emotions that came with it, don’t you understand?” “If she is truly the reincarnation or blessed by our Lord, then she will be able to handle it.” Tatrasiel wanted to punch Gabriel then and there, but he knew that wouldn’t be the best way to get him to understand. “Gabriel, she is a human child, she is fragile and delicate, the human mind doesn’t work the same way as us angels, if you put such a heavy burden on her now, it will affect her in the future, especially since you plan on using forbidden enchantments!” A scoff came from the Seraphim, his white shoes tapping on the floor as he approached Tatrasiel. “Tatrasiel, your job is to watch over the girl while she is still human, you are only an Ophanim and have no say in what we do.” Gabriel spat, his cold eyes narrowing at the violet-red-haired angel. “I may only be an Ophanim, but I was also once human myself, I know what will happen if you do this, Gabriel. Please, spare the child this pain and let her-” “TATRASIEL. Go back to your tower.” Gabriel’s voice was loud and commanding. Unfortunately, Tatrasiel had no choice but to listen to the Seraphim’s command. Turning away, Tatrasiel stormed off to his tower, upset over Gabriel’s insane idea.
Tatrasiel couldn’t do anything as he watched the Seraphim proceed to angelify the poor girl, her cries loud and heartbreaking for Tatrasiel. He watched as two sets of wings were ripped out of Soraye’s back, unable to save the poor girl from being harmed more. Tatrasiel continued to take care of Soraye despite that day, as she refused to listen to any of the other angels except for Tatrasiel. Whenever he was asked why, Tatrasiel would always respond with a ‘I told him so.’ A pure soul was deprived of home that day, that day Soraye was forcefully angelified, the day things went even more downhill for the angels, or so Tatrasiel believed.
Tatrasiel was so relieved to hear that Soraye was ‘kidnapped’ by the Son of Solomon, though if he were to tell anyone that, surely he would be killed. Soraye finally was back with her brother, and even if Tatrasiel might not see Soraye again, she was at least safe, and that’s all that mattered to Tatrasiel.
