He was in a dazed stupor. Piles upon piles of paper were stacked on his desk. He just blankly stares on the ceiling.
As he was about to snap from his stupor, a gentle breeze brushed by his cheek and a familiar scent woke him up.
"Arghh I think this is the impact of not getting enough sleep lately. Then small unexpected things keep popping up lately..."
He just sighed and scratched his lead lightly. Well there's no use complaining about it, he thought and went back to work. He does love getting himself busy after all.
As he was about to pick up the first pile of paper, he noticed something glistening by his desk. It was wrapped elegantly in a red ribbon with a neatly scribbled note at the bottom reading "A small magic has been cast upon it. Consume with care ✨." He smiled. Ah, so that's what's happening here.
Unwrapping the small lollipop that was glistening red, he started to lick it first and determined its flavor. Is that...? Strawberry? Hmm interesting. And he fully popped it into his mouth. "It's just an ordinary lollipop..." He chuckled. He then proceeds to continue his work.
After half of the pile was done, he took the lollipop out of his mouth and was deep in thought. He held it out by his right ear.
After a few seconds he could hear a soft "nom" and felt his hand going heavy. He looked by his side and saw a redhead with white streaks. He was sucking the lollipop.
"Ah! Hey, that's mine!" He tried to tug it back from the intruder's mouth but the intruder just tightened his teeth. After a few tugs he just gave up.
"Thanks for it though. It really has magic in it." He smiled. The redhead just blushed slightly and let go of the lollipop.
"You sure are busy, saRI."
"What, missed me?" He grinned which was just replied with rolling of the eyes. He laughed.
The redhead was about to leave the room in annoyance when he called out.
"Hey Natsume, come here." He beckoned the other into his lap. Natsume hesitated for a bit, clear irritation from his face but went anyway. He sat on his lap. Mao looked like flowers just popped out of his head and smiled happily. He started caressing the redhead's head and rested his chin on his shoulder.
"TsK, if you're just messing with me I'll LEave."
"No, no wait. I'm recharging..."
"That's what's supposed to happen with the small magic bundle I left dumMY."
"Eh, but I need more~"
A sweet sensation burst forth from his mouth.
"Ah... ???" What was that?
The redhead was blushing and swooped half of the paper on the desk. He started writing furiously and kept stacking the finished papers on the side.
He took what was forcefully shoved into his mouth and saw another lollipop, but this time it was cherry flavored.
Mao laughed heartily at his cute little cat's antics. Ever since they started dating, he did fell victim to Natsume's small pranks here and there labeling them as "revenge" for taking his place, but he didn't even know he was easy to tease and gets easily flustered. 'He does have his cute side sometimes,' he thought to himself and kept hugging his cute boyfriend.
"The papers won't move by themselves you KnoW."
"I thought you hated physical contact like this." He then proceeds to blow Natsume's neck which in turn makes him shiver in response. He laughed heartily at the reaction.
"Gah, I'll leave now and put a potent curse on you."
"Wait, wait I'm sorry. Please stay." He got truly annoyed, he thought.
That's how they spent their afternoon together.
