Work Text:
Rin isn’t a good person.
She posts about her exaggerated feelings online. She posts photos of her scars. She lies about her mental health to get the sympathy of others.
That’s right, she fakes being depressed and mentally ill online. She knows that it can be offensive for people who actually suffer from depression, but she does it anyways. Rin knew that doing this definitely isn’t normal, but she didn’t want to exaggerate it even in real life. So she cuts herself to the smallest obstacle in her life, and posts about it online.
Oh, a text came. It’s from Rin’s classmate, Miku.
“Rin-tan, are you free right now?!”, the text read. Ah, it was Miku’s texts that always cheered up Rin.
She lightened up, and waited a few seconds before opening the text.
"Yes, why?!"
Rin sent. It's not read yet. She'll go distract herself on Twitter until Miku texts back. And although a few minutes pass, there's still no reply back. She's always like this. Although Rin thinks hard and hard to think about what she said that could have been wrong, but there isn't any in mind.
Oh, it's dreadful.
Rin has a crush on her. For the past year, alot has happened between them, and they were not always happy memories.
On the start of a new school year, Rin had come up to Miku, saying to become friends. It was just a simple greeting to not be alone for the rest of the year, but they became the closest. At that time, she didn't know things like that would happen.
Going everywhere together, Rin had always thought they both were inseperatable.
Until Miku got tired of Rin, I guess. During the middle of summer, she had begun to distance Rin, and Rin got more and more unstable during that time. She shed blood, cried, and felt empty most of the time.
She knows deep down that Miku isn't a good person, but on the surface she thinks she changed, and she won't do the things she did to her anymore, and that's what Rin will believe.
The heaviness in her heart grows as she thinks more about it. A burden you can relieve with wrist cutting.
Rin replies to Miku. She still loves talking with her. It pains her to think that Miku is the same person who caused her all the pain and suffering she had. But for now, she loves her company. She still loves her.
Even though she suffers this much, she still has a caring family, a group of friends and has hobbies, so her life isn't bad. Her life is quite one of the better lives, out of all others. She doesn't deserve to get better, as if she was bad in the first place.
She puts down her phone, and gets ready to go to bed. The sun has gone, but soon, the night will end, and it will be another day.
She'll laugh again and again because of Miku's words.
She'll despair again and again because of her memories.
As tears fall down her face and blood fall down her wrist, she'll still allow herself to be fooled once again, and again, and again.
Besides, Rin will still love Miku. It's love.
It's definately love.
