D’arce’s eyes shot open.
It was a quick, sharp noise that hit her. She didn’t move from her spot on the wooden bedframe. Her heart pounded in her chest, the fear overwhelming her mind with what could lurk just beyond the dark of the firelight in the prison cell they had taken shelter in, figuring at the time it was the safest place for a rest, with what the sturdy metal bars and lockable door offered.
Her eyes darted around the room. The fire they set up earlier had died down slightly, and the cell room was a bit darker than when she originally fell asleep, but besides the implication of the passage of time, there was nothing out of the ordinary.
She turned her head to glance over her shoulder, where she saw the boney back of the frail priest and a bunch of tiny limbs draped over him. The Girl must have worked her way between him and the wall at some point during the night, likely seeking warmth.
D’arce turned away. So if it wasn’t them, then…?
She searched the room with her gaze once more. No enemies, no immediate dangers -
Another short and sharp cry hit her ears. This time, it was followed by a gasping noise, a slap, and murmured words she had to really focus on to hear - she only caught the tail end of a deep voice.
“…gag you? Or you just enjoy the idea of getting caught?”
“Fuck, fuck, I’m sorry, okay? Just keep going. I’ll shut up. Just fucking— arghhh,” The voice was cut off by a gritty, low groan.
D’arce’s face fell. Carefully, as slowly as she could manage, she lifted her head ever so slightly and peered at the other side of the room.
And there it was. Ragnvaldr, flat on his back, face obscured under fatty thighs, head cushioned by his furs, shoulder muscles rippling to his powerful arms that led to thick, calloused hands which grasped Cahara’s hips. Cahara, who was kneeling over the Northman’s face, gloved hands desperately scraping at the stone wall for support. He had his back to D’arce, so she couldn’t gauge his expression -
Her head snapped up back onto the lumpy pillow, and she squeezed her eyes shut.
Oh Gods. Oh Gods. Oh Alll-Mer, save her!
Despicable! Disgusting! She felt hot under her clothed neck, squirming with embarrassment. How could they?! With other people in the room? They weren’t even trying to be discrete - Cahara was getting louder and louder by the minute.
Ragnvaldr seemed to think so too, because he lifted Cahara’s crotch off his face, and D’arce couldn’t remember when she’d started looking again, but now she could see the glisten of unspeakable fluid that coated Ragnvaldr’s chin and lips as he spoke. It left a bad taste in her mouth. Messy, unclean men, and their messy, unclean, unholy habits. Revolting.
“Cahara.” Ragnvaldr’s biting tone made her shiver. Cahara was shivering too, but she didn’t think it was for the same reason.
“You’re going to wake the others,” despite Ragnvaldr’s scolding, D’arce noted how he was actively massaging the Mercenary's hips, firmly running his hands up and down along his bare sides. She bit her lip as she watched Cahara melt and ease under the gentle affection, his legs ceasing their erratic tremors.
Cahara shook his head. “it’s fine, it’s fine, I’ll stop—just keep doing that thing with your tongue. Please?” He looked down.
There was a moment of quiet, then a sigh. “…I think you need a break,” Ragnvaldr urged. D’arce licked her lips … only to hold down her nausea, certainly.
“What?” Cahara sounded panicked, “Fuck— no, no no, c’mon, I haven’t even come yet,”
“You’re overwhelmed,” Ragnvaldr retorted. “Perhaps you sit on my lap for a little while. It’ll allow you some time to relax.”
Another beat of silence. It broke with a breezy chuckle, and Cahara slapped Ragnvaldr on the chest, making D’arce wince; but the man himself didn’t seem to mind. “Oh fuck you,” Cahara laughed, “I thought you were gonna leave me hanging.”
“Never,” Ragnvaldr mumbled. D’arce might’ve found his simple response strangely sweet, but any gentle thoughts were quickly sapped from her mind when she saw Cahara twist around and yank back the front of the other man’s skirt, reaching between his legs to pull out his -
D’arce looked away again, staring intently at the very, very interesting cell bars, and ignoring every sigh and moan and any amount of noisy squelching sounds that invaded her ears.
She also ignored the tingle in her groin, and resisted any urge to squeeze her legs together, making sure to tell herself that lightly adjusting her position on the exceedingly uncomfortable bed definitely didn’t count and that the dampness that smeared between her thighs when she moved meant absolutely nothing at all.
“That’s it. Yeah, yeah, fucking watch me take every inch of your—”
“Calm,” Ragnvaldr said sternly. “This is for you to relax, remember? Here, like this…”
D’arce repressed every single image that sprung in her mind with Ragnvaldr’s words. It was an agony she wouldn’t admit to, not being able to observe fully just what exactly was happening with each and every rustle or smack of skin or quiet whimper.
When D’arce opened her eyes back up, she rationalised it. Right! If those two were so busy ignoring their very important duties in favour of disgustingly indulging their base instincts, who was going to keep watch? What if something snuck up on them in the dark? She had to stay vigilant, she had to stay awake.
Lifting her head for a third time, she saw now the positions had changed slightly. Ragnvaldr was sitting up against the wall, and like she predicted Cahara was nestled comfortably in his lap, rocking slowly back and forth while Ragnvaldr doted on him, hands exploring the expanse of the Mercenary's toned body.
“I wish you’d just fuck me.” Cahara deadpanned.
“Another day,” Ragnvaldr hushed, tracing his hand up from Cahara’s midriff to tuck some of his thick black hair behind his ear. “I will take you properly in a time when we won’t be so easily interrupted.”
“Yeah, yeah, I know..” Cahara sounded mildly guilty, but if he was frowning it didn’t last for long before Ragnvaldr held his face and kissed him sloppily.
D’arce hadn’t realised she was chewing the inside of her cheek until she stopped out of awe and the side of her mouth throbbed in pain. The rest of her throbbed, too - where her heartbeat had been drumming in her chest before, now she could feel it pulse deep in her groin.
Still mildly at war with her own desires, a hand began to drift downward under the thin covers and between her clothed legs.
Cahara broke their kiss with a shuttering gasp. “Oh, oh fuck, keep doing that,” He urged, looking down between them, one hand on Ragnvaldr’s shoulder as he leaned back and bore more of himself to the Outlander. D’arce strained her neck to see what it was he was getting so worked up over, and what her eyes caught was Ragnvaldr’s hand making rhythmic, firm circles where the two of them met. She tried to copy the motion with her own hand, slipping her fingers underneath her pants and rubbing herself tentatively, finding her vulva was already slicked and softened.
She pushed down a twinge of shame at her own perverseness. Oh, how this unholy hellhole had tainted her so!
Cahara keeled forward, shuttering and letting free a string of whines and curses all too loud for the room. Ragnvaldr grasped the back of Cahara’s hair and yanked his face against his neck, muffling his hopelessly incriminating noises.
“Close?” Ragnvaldr asked this so quietly D’arce barely caught it. She let out her own tiny huff in response, quickening her movements. Her nerves lit alight, electrifying through to the tip of her beet-red ears. She struggled not to spread her legs as she sank two digits in, frotting her swollen clit with the heel of her palm and using her other hand to press a fist to her mouth, biting down on her knuckles.
She was sure that in any other scenario she was being too loud, but by the look of the other boys she knew by now they’d be too occupied with each other to notice her. She’d gotten this far, after all. “Yeah, shit, I’m almost there. You?” Cahara was shaking madly again, and no amount of coaxing from Ragnvaldr would ease him this time.
“Ja.” Ragnvaldr began to pant just as D’arce curled her fingers. She was panting too, her desperate gaze locked on the two men, subconsciously timing her movements with theirs. Ragnvaldr began to rut up into the willing Mercenary, and D’arce’s small whimper was covered up by Cahara’s own noisy moan.
“Fuck, yes, yes—oh my fucking god you’re so deep, so fffucking big,” He wailed, “Please, please, please—” He was cut short by a guttural choke, courtesy of Ragnvaldr wrapping a powerful hand around the smaller man’s throat and squeezing. That was one way to shut him up. D’arce’s hand that had been concealing her mouth drifted down, and she gently encased the front of her neck.
Still, Cahara’s spindly voice managed to get a few more words in through his restricted windpipe. “I’m coming, oh, oh I’m coming don’t stop, Ragnvaldr, d-don’t st…” He strained to sob, his entire body rigid even as Ragnvaldr fucked up into him, his pace broken occasionally by erratic twitching and punctuated by fleeting gasps from what little air Cahara could still get out. D’arce ground her hips into her hand, gods she was so wet, she was so close, she could feel the muscles of her weeping cunt clutch and convulse around her fingers, oh, the pressure was so intense, her body was on fire - especially her lower back, slick with sweat and growing to a searing white-hot that fucking hurt—!
“Ow!” She yelped, arching back and nearly falling off the bed. She immediately withdrew her hand from her pants even as her body cried out in protest, fighting the spasms of her ruined orgasm that made it quite the struggle to shoot off the bed and whip around to eye what in Alll-Mer’s name had scorched her like that.
D’arce was met with a scowling priest, his gloved hand still outstretched and baring a waning magical flame that sprouted from his fingers.
She was mortified. The pleasant heat that had overtaken her body before was gone, and what was left of it travelled to D’arce’s face and burned hot enough to make her nauseated. Out of the corner of her eyes she could see that Ragnvaldr had pushed Cahara off, who was scrambling to pull his leather pants up over sweaty skin.
“Imbeciles,” Enki hissed. “I expect nothing of you bumbling oafs, and yet you continue to awe me with each in every moment in your utter idiocy!”
“Back off, man,” Cahara bit back immediately, still struggling to shimmy his shorts up his thighs. “You-”
“Is the child asleep?” Ragnvaldr interrupted. He was shyly adjusting himself, pulling down his skirt and still sitting against the wall. D’arce granted him some privacy, politely averting her eyes.
Enki placed a hand on the Girl’s little head, patting it gently. She was facing the wall, and hopefully dead to the world. “Yes. No thanks to you three, mind you.”
“Then what does it matter?” Cahara reached for his vest, sliding it on and facing a similar issue with stubborn leather and damp skin. “Is it so bad we-... three?” His eyes narrowed.
All faces turned to D’arce.
She broke out in a further sweat, standing awkwardly. “I-” her breath caught in her throat. “I-I—well, someone had to keep an eye on things, you know! I was taking over your duties, I just didn’t interrupt you because… be-because it would be impolite,”
“Ah,” Cahara nodded. “Uh-huh. Yeah, you were watching us, weren’t you?” Oh curse that man, curse his awful grin, curse it all to hell!
“She was doing more than watching. Disgusting ritual, really.” Enki rolled his eyes.
D’arce could’ve dropped dead right there.
“You’re kidding,” Cahara laughed, twisted smile still burning a hole through the poor Knight. “But..” He continued, head slowly turning to pin Enki. “I can’t help but wonder…what makes you so sure?”
D’arce furrowed her brows. She didn’t catch onto Cahara’s meaning until Enki began to sputter and overreact. “Wait, yeah,” D’arce joined in. Anything to get the attention off her. “How long were you awake for?”
“Don’t try to turn this on me,” Enki’s lips curled back, sneering like a rat. “It didn’t take more than five seconds,” He crossed his arms. “Your lacklustre effort to keep your noise to a minimum made it abundantly clear.”
“Regardless,” Ragnvaldr’s brass voice boomed in the small cell. “We apologise. It won’t happen again.”
“It won’t?” Cahara turned to frown at Ragnvaldr. The man looked away.
“I don’t care about you or anything you brutes do,” Enki stood up from the bed, then quickly sat down again, smoothing over the front of his robe. Strange…
“Just do it somewhere else. Away from me. Far away.”
“I second that,” D’arce added, doing what she could to suppress the aftershocks that made her breath hitch.
“I get it.” Cahara was beginning to sound genuinely agitated. D’arce scoffed. Some nerve he had! “Whatever. All in favour of just forgetting this ever happened?”
There was a collective of nodding heads and timid agreement.
