The Radio Demon

Summary:

Lucifer tries not to worry, but it's not easy when her husband mysteriously disappears during the night. After all, a pregnant demon couldn't go that far. Could he?

Notes:

If I got a coin for every story I wrote about a missing pregnant omega, I'd have three coins

Not a lot, but weird that it happened three times

English is not my first language

Work Text:

There was a reason why Alastor trusted Rosie faithfully, also Minzy. They had seen his worst side and survived, a version of him that Alastor couldn't bear the thought of others seeing.

For a long time, they were the only ones, until Lucifer appeared.

The king of hell was in one of his best naps when he felt the bed next to him empty, the plush mattress now cold. Where the hell was Alastor? He hoped the other demon hadn't agreed to engage in any activities with Charlie and the rest of the hotel demons. Since the last pajama party — which ended in a catastrophe — Lucifer decided that his sleep was more important, begging his sweet daughter to exclude him from certain activities to make the demons more friendly.

Unlike them, he would never return.

Lucifer turned on the bedside lamp, noticing a small puddle on the bed where Alastor should have been. The first thought that crossed his mind was to check the bathroom. With only a few weeks left until the birth of his future son or daughter, he imagined that these kinds of accidents would happen. He had read about things like loss of bladder control in human books he had come across, certainly not from Alastor or Lilith.

Stumbling in his slippers, Lucifer discovered that Alastor wasn't in the bathroom.

Making sure of it by knocking on all three hotel bathrooms' doors, he got only a response on the third door, but it was a curse from what seemed to be the voice of the ponytailed cyclops.

His second guess wasn't much comforting. Lucifer reached for his phone, immediately remembering that his dear husband didn't use such technologies. He sighed, touching his face. Still with the screen on, Lucifer considered calling Charlie, but a glance at the time made the demon quickly change his mind.

What kind of father would he be, waking up his own daughter before sunrise, just to worry her with his problems?

Lucifer decided to handle this on his own.

"Uh, uh... Okay, stay calm, Lucifer. What could go wrong? Are you going to freak out just because your pregnant husband is about to give birth and disappeared?" he chuckled to himself, trying to relieve the pressure in his chest, which was undoubtedly pure accumulated anxiety. "Alastor is fine, he's one of those big guys, right? No one would mess with him! Of course not...

Unless it's him. Lucifer already had a subtle suspicion about his current husband's nature, which might hurt a little to know that the other demon would never share his weaknesses. Still, Lucifer couldn't confront him about it because the blonde was not so different, never revealing a single word about the times he lived in paradise.

So, it would be wrong to blame him for such behavior.

The connection he had with his offspring was how he located the radio demon or what seemed to be the place where he was. It was a part of the city in ruins, the entrance to what should be a crumbling building. It wasn't the ideal place for Alastor, but considering that maybe he was just passing through and ended up stopping here, it made sense.

It was a place falling apart, and thanks to that, it formed a beautiful maze and thus, a good way to get rid of intruders. Alastor was a clever demon.

Lucifer touched the walls and felt the dust coming off, he sneezed, his eyes widening at the noise he made. He hated the clumsy way he acted, but there was no time for reprimanding thoughts when something in the shadows seemed to move. Lucifer heard noises in the background, something probably beastly sounding from that region.

"Al, darling? Are you there?" he asked, his voice shaky. Another loud noise. Well, this was getting a bit scary.

Lucifer took a step back until he heard a muffled groan of pain that made him take two steps forward.

"Are you okay?" Silence. "Talk to me! You know, I came here to help you, you just disappeared. I'm so worried, I haven't even taken off my pajamas!" he said, and although it sounded a bit silly, it was a good way to lighten the mood.

Tentacle like shadows began to circulate around them, and Lucifer realized they belonged to Alastor. But where was he?

"You shouldn't be here." a voice with claws emerged, intense and deep. Lucifer dodged what should have been one of the claws trying to reach him.

He wasn't accepting that Alastor could kick him out when he was in trouble.

Lucifer jumped, avoiding one of the tentacles, and made his way into the destroyed building when another claw reached him and managed to grab him.

"Stay away.” a murmured pain followed the voice, and Lucifer raised an eyebrow, it was more than enough for him to decide to continue intervening.

Transforming into a serpent, the demon flees towards the source of the sound he heard earlier.

Returning to normal, Lucifer feels as if he's tracking a wounded animal when he sees the trail of blood leading to one of the rooms. He sighs, wondering how far Alastor would go to maintain appearances.

If his suspicions were correct, their offspring could arrive at any moment, and he should be there to support him. However, Lucifer knows Alastor's mind doesn't work that way, and his presence might be the opposite of comfort.

Yet, judging by the increasing trail of blood, intervention is necessary.

"Found you." said the king of hell, finding Alastor in the last empty rooms where the blood trail ended.

Alastor had his ears lowered, blood accumulated on his hands and clothes, his bulging belly being protected by his hands. The smile still fixed on his face, as if everything was fine, but his eyes betrayed him, they were scared to see Lucifer.

The fallen angel was caught by the claws again, they appeared behind him in large numbers, knocking him to the ground, and due to the force they exerted to sink him, a crack began to appear.

"You didn't hear me, dear?" There was irony in Alastor's tone, he was panting. "I told you to stay away."

"I know, I know! But... let me help you!" Lucifer pleaded, and judging by his position, it seemed like he was the one who needed help.

He had done a horrible thing by seeing one of the overlords known for his perfection in such a vulnerable moment. However, besides being an overlord, the radio demon was his husband and carried their baby. He needed to do something.

The claws left Lucifer when Alastor's eyes became small, he seemed to suppress a moan, red staining his clothes even more.

Lucifer got up, patting his apple-patterned pajamas to remove the dust and walking toward the radio demon, who, like a cat, wriggled and dragged himself until his back hit the wall. Alastor was completely different from his usual self, the bicolor strands of his hair were glued to his face, his belly covered by the suit seemed lower than the last time Lucifer saw it, along with the man's chest rising and falling intensely.

Alastor glared at him furiously, cornered. The man lowered his head, emitting something like a growl to himself, which would be enough to scare any demon from the pentagram city.

But he wasn't just any demon, he was Lucifer.

He continued to approach, touching Alastor's feet, who seemed to be shrinking more and more. Removing the man's shoes, the radio demon raised his eyebrows, his gaze completely focused on him, composed of large eyes and a wicked smile, turned into short pupils and cute ears turning toward the sound of his shoes falling to the ground.

Lucifer avoided laughing, Alastor looked like a peacock showing off all his pomp to ward off larger predators.

"Let's get your pants off," he said calmly, touching his thigh and staring Alastor directly in the eyes. He couldn't believe Alastor hadn't even gone through the basics of taking off his clothes. Alastor touched the man's hand on his, and the murderous look was there again.

Lucifer took a deep breath and forced the best smile he could without showing his teeth.

"I think it's time for this baby to be born. Right? You must soon feel the urge to push," he explained calmly, squeezing the fabric of Alastor's pants firmly. "But for that, I need you to let me take off your pants, okay? I know you want to get this over with."

The grip of Alastor's claws ceased, and Lucifer could continue what he wanted to do. He leaned in close to Alastor, unbuttoning his pants and then pulling them down. Throughout, he was being watched by the demon who had temporarily given up "killing" him.

Lucifer realized that Alastor had no idea how to do this. He was desperate, so different from the confident radio host who was confident enough to remove his patience. It was more than understandable that he didn't want to see this side of himself.

A murmur of pain escaped Alastor's lips, so low that Lucifer only noticed it from the twitch the man gave.

"Stay calm. Breathe deeply," said the king of hell. Choosing each word he would say seemed to be important to Alastor now, who listened attentively, waiting for just one mistake to try to escape, even without the strength to do so. "I need to check how dilated you are, okay?"

Alastor didn't respond, just turned his face away. Lucifer decided to take that as a yes.

As he had predicted, the bicolor-haired demon had progressed more than enough. He could see the head emerging in the middle of all the blood, but something seemed wrong, and Lucifer had a small clue of what it might be.

This was going to be difficult.

"Okay, um... I..." The demon resisted the urge to rub his hair. He looked at Alastor, who still had a distant look, with his face still turned, breathing irregularly. "Alright."

Summoning a dagger in the palm of his hand, Lucifer quickly glanced at Alastor and then back at his opening. If he were fast, maybe it wouldn't hurt so much, and the pain of the cut could blend with the contractions.

Lucifer decided not to think too much about it, cutting a bit of the opening to allow the passage of the little one. A groan of pain from the radio demon filled the place.

The room was taken over by a greenish light, Alastor's horns threatened to grow along with his form, but nothing happened, only his smile on his face increased, and with them, Alastor tightly held Lucifer's wrist, claws sinking deeply. Everything magically disappeared, making room for a surprised Alastor.

"Nggh..."

"Relieved, I imagine? The pressure must have decreased," Lucifer laughed in relief when Alastor's claws left his wrist. Not out of fear, but happy to know that he had accomplished something. "I'm sorry. Now I ask you to push—"

A scream of pain surprised Lucifer, Alastor touched his stomach and tried to get up to flee, colliding again with the wall. The blonde immediately got up from his place. He needed to calm this omega to make him have this baby, a good way had already been traveled.

"C-Calm down!" He got up, holding Alastor's arm and forcing him not to run away. He was restless like an animal, and the discomfort that made him want to move wasn't good due to the blood loss. "I need you to trust me. Well, it was me who got you into this. So let me help." He approached Alastor's face, adjusting the monocular that threatened to fall from his face.

Lucifer wanted to celebrate because, for the first time, Alastor listened to him and returned to his place. Taking advantage, the demon removed the rest of his clothes, but the omega stopped allowing it when he was free of his coat and vest. Alastor began to move his legs, his teeth rubbing with force.

"Oh, okay! I got it, it's time!"

It was as if Alastor finally trusted him, even after months of being married, Lucifer felt that somehow, he had managed to evolve in their relationship.

Between requests to push, Lucifer kept monitoring Alastor, the little one was getting closer. Alastor gave up resisting like a lamb being sacrificed and allowed Lucifer to start instructing him.

"I'm going to kill you, Lucifer," threatened the radio demon, who seemed very serious, but Lucifer just laughed nervously, as no black tentacle had appeared to grab him again.

"Sure, sure... But let's finish this first, Al!"

When the baby's head is fully out, Alastor supports his head on Lucifer's chest and uses more of his strength to remove the little one. His ears are strongly turned back at this point, Lucifer's apple-patterned pajamas are covered in blood, which doesn't compare to anything when the baby finally comes out completely and is caught by the blonde, who removes his shirt moments before so he can wrap the baby.

Alastor is panting, even being so quiet since he saw him.

Lucifer takes a good look at his little one before handing it to Alastor, his hair is blonde, and his cheeks are rosy like his, except for the eyes that seem to be identical to Alastor's. He is as adorable as Charlie, Lucifer bites his lip to hold back the tears.

Alastor's reaction surprises him, he holds his daughter with a strange look, as if he had never held a baby when alive and then dead. When Lucifer guides him appropriately, he watches everything curiously. Alastor extends his index finger to the baby, touching her soft, round cheek, and then strokes her hair.

"See? I told you there was nothing to worry about.” Lucifer says. Alastor turns his gaze from the newborn to his husband, the look fixed, and Lucifer wonders if he wants to say something.

"What? I don't know what you're talking about!" Alastor smiles in a way that hides his sharp teeth. "It was me who did all the hard work!" He swallows hard when he realizes that his voice is not in the radio effect because he left his cane so far away.

"What? No Way!"

He tries to get up, but quickly falls to the floor again, his hand protectively against the baby.

"Fuck..." Alastor curses. Lucifer walks over to the cane and hands it to the omega.

"I'll get us out of here," Lucifer says, crouching down so he can teleport with his husband and baby.

After taking Alastor to his home and ensuring he could take a bath and rest, Lucifer decides to take care of the baby and remove any traces of blood and fluids.

He is certain that the earlier event will never be mentioned again, but he realizes that somehow Alastor seems grateful, considering the way the demon expressed himself after the baby's birth. It seems like Alastor wants to completely erase the image of the demon covered in fear and insecurities that Lucifer found.

Alastor falls asleep in his bed after the bath, and Lucifer decides to stay with the baby in his arms, gently rocking the little one who enjoys a peaceful nap. While holding the baby, Lucifer admires the view of Hell through the window, with its red-hued skies, a bright smile forming on his lips.

Then, Lucifer quickly grabs his cellphone.

"Char-Char will be so happy about this! Your big sister must be excited to meet you, Beleth! How about Belle as a nickname like your sister?" he says with a childish voice, dialing as fast as he can with one hand while the baby sleeps in the background.
