Chapter Text
Your head was in your hands as you stared at the whiteboard. In front of you, there was a stack of papers the student council wanted you to complete. Beside you, your two friends, Mitsuri Kanroji and Rengoku Kyojuro rambled to each other about random things.
The classroom was mostly empty.
“Y/N! Y/N!” Mitsuri exclaims, causing her long pink and green hair to fall onto her face. “Wanna go for karaoke? Rengoku bought us VIP tickets!” You shook your head, glancing down at your watch. 4:38 it read. You completely forgot you had to rush home to make dinner before the twins, Tanjiro and Nezuko, returned from soccer practice. “I can’t today… Maybe next time?” You muttered, making Mitsuri pout.
You quickly jumped out of your seat, making your phone slip out of your pocket. You scrambled to gather your things. “L/N, why are you in such a rush?” Rengoku spoke up. “I gotta-”
Someone tapped your shoulder gently.
You turned around and saw a boy, who was slightly taller than you, holding your phone. He had messy, medium-length black hair in a low ponytail. He wore black-framed glasses that sat on the tip of his nose. “You… You dropped this…” The boy’s voice was soft and somewhat soothing. “I- um- thank you.” He handed you your phone and walked out of the classroom.
“That was Giyuu,” Mitsuri whispered. You didn't realize she was right behind you. “Don't bother with him. He never talks to anyone.”

Recently, you’ve had no motivation to cook. So the twins pressured you to make their favorite meal, rice balls. It was 5:02 when your doorbell rang. Was it the twins? You were supposed to pick them up. Did they get out early? You dried off your hands and opened the door.
“Y/N!” The twins sobbed as they ran into your arms. You crouched down to their height and noticed they had bandages all over their face. “What happened?” Nezuko held onto your hand tightly.
“They fell.” A voice said. You looked up and a boy was holding Tanjiro’s free hand. You didn't even realize he was standing there. That was embarrassing. “Oh- um..” you paused. “Thank you. They’re very clumsy…” You stood up.
The boy had long black hair and many different piercing; four on each ear and one on his lip.He also had his nails painted a starry black color. “W-would you like some tea?” you asked. “Yes please, thank you, L/N.”
How’d he know your name even though you've never met him?
Apparently, you were thinking aloud, because the boy answered with a quiet, “I’m in your class, L/N…” he paused. “It’s me Giyuu?..” You could’ve just jumped out of your chair at that point. How was that Giyuu? The boy who never talked? The boy who everyone called nerdy?
“Giyuu? You- you’re Giyuu? How?” You handed him his tea and he had a small frown on his face. “Can’t you tell? Yes, I got rid of the glasses, but that's the only difference! I still look the same!” You were about to say something back, but the twins busted into the kitchen and sat on Giyuu’s lap as if they didn't have their own seats.
“Tanjiro and Nezuko what are you two doing?” You murmured, but they ignored you. “Will you come back tomorrow?” Tanjiro asked. Giyuu looked over at you. “Would that be okay, L/N? My family owns a bakery, so I could- I could bring them a cake. I really don't mind.” He looked so genuine. The twins stare up at you with puppy dog eyes.
The twins stare up at you with puppy dog eyes. “Gosh, fine…” You murmur, causing the twins to squeal in excitement. Giyuu looked down at them with a small smile on his face.
God, his smile was cute.
