Aether and Blaze were insufferable. They did everything from going to Inazuma's festivals together,to Netflix and chilling back in mondstandt. Life was good when you had a friend near to share all of these moments with. At least it WAS good…
Aether had always been the type of person who was genuinely friendly and tolerated many people. He had to be this way to keep up his adventures through Teyvat without being known as a total jerk. However, when he met Blaze for the first time it felt different. Aether felt as if he could be his full,true self around Blaze and cut the friendly nice guy role. He was still kind ,but with Blaze he could act out and yell and be weird. It took aether longer than anyone else around him to realize he was in love.
Blaze was bullied throughout all of his school days. After all, being an animated truck that could speak and that also had a face wasn't very well perceived by little anime boys running around Teyvat. He tried desperately to fit in with the crowd ,but you can't turn wheels into human feet. Despite all the mean comments and punches thrown, he still ended up graduating. Blaze unfortunately did not get a job seeing as no company in Teyvat was hiring vehicles. Blaze wanted to cry, he wanted to yell at every single one of those ship owners for being racist,but he just didn't have it in him. Once he met aether everything changed, aether was kind and overall just a lovely person to be around. Aether helped pull Blaze out of one of his roughest points and provided him with the mora to get back up again,life was swell.
Blaze realized first that Aether was in love,and being gay didn't sound that bad.
It was the first day of the poetry galla aether had been invited too. He told Blaze he could tag along until afterwards because there was something he wanted to talk with Blaze about. It kinda confused the vehicle because they had time before the event started. Why didn't Aether just tell him now? Oh well. The poetry galla ended eventually as people started filling out of the venue. Aether’s poetry was truly enchanting to Blaze and he was hoping for him to read more when they talked about what aether needed too. After Hu tao headed home it was just the two of them, together,alone.
“So …what did you need to tell me?” Blaze asked, sounding slightly concerned. Aether gazed into his headlights seductively. He reached up a finger to stroke his side mirror. Blaze blushed profusely.
“I think I'm starting to grow more and more fond of you.” Aether said after a moment of intimate silence shared between the two.
Blaze tilted himself up a little. “In what way?” Blaze asked, knowing the answer,he just wanted to hear it spoken. Instead of an answer,he got a kiss. The one small gesture that started it all.
PRESENT DAY
It was a bright sunny day in mondstandt,and the profound couple strolled through the streets together. Sometimes Aether wishes he could go hand in hand with his partner,but he was willing to give that up for Blaze. They had been dating for a year now and Aether wanted to take Blaze somewhere dear to his heart, Mondstandt. The start of his journey through this world ,that taught him the basics. Mondstandt was the only place Aether would want to spend his one year anniversary with the person he loved most. Everything about this day was perfect. Aether glanced towards Blaze ,who looked a little uneasy.
“I'm gonna go used the restroom…um be right back.” Blaze said and then rolled off path. Huh. That was strange. Aether thought. Little did Aether know that he's be waiting so long for Blaze’s return. Aether sat down on a nearby bench. It has been 3 hours,where was Blaze?
“Right now, he's probably slow dancin' with a bleach-blonde tramp
And she's probably gettin' frisky
Right now, he's probably buyin' her some fruity little drink
'Cause she can't shoot whiskey”
Aether decided to get up and search for Blaze,he wasn't going to let this day go to waste ,and plus if his boyfriend was hurt he needed to find him.
“Right now, he's probably up behind her with a pool stick
Showin' her how to shoot a combo”
Aether made his way into the men's restroom and heard a slight whimper. Was that Blaze? He carefully slid underneath one of the bathroom stalls to see something horrifying.
“And he don't know”
“B-blaze, how could you?!” Blaze stared at Aether with wide eyes after finishing making out with Itto. Aether considered itto a friend but this was too much. “I-I-I-I-I-I it's now what it looks like!!” Blaze screeched. “SAVE IT! I SAW ITTOS COCK IN YOUR MUFFLER!”
“I dug my key into the side (into the side)
Of his pretty little souped-up four-wheel drive
Carved my name into his leather seats
I took a Louisville slugger to both headlights (both headlights)
Slashed a hole in all four tires”
Aether started crying and slipped back under the stall. He ran away,away from this monster who he thought was his lover. Maybe Aether was better off not getting this close with people,let alone vehicles. Maybe he was better off being fake friends with everyone.
Maybe next time, he'll think before he cheats….
