It was a usual day for Lucifer as he sat in his office filling out paperwork. Fortunately, it was the weekend and he was looking forward to having a break from schooling. If only he could get a break from his brothers too, just for a couple of days of peace. As he writes he hears thunder rumbling outside before it starts to pour down. Hopefully, the rain will calm the house down and his brothers won't be so riled up. After almost half an hour he hears the front door open and shut. Curious as to who would come over in a storm this bad, he stands from his desk to go check. Starry stands at the front door soaking wet with the freezing rainwater dripping off of her. Her tank top and shorts stick to her body and water squished in her shoes. She hugs her arms around herself shivering while her teeth chatter softly. She didn't know it was supposed to storm and was on her way back from walking around town when it started. After being out there for so long her body felt like ice compared to the warmth of the house.
When Lucifer enters the main hallway he finds Starry standing at the door. Her pale skin looked even paler from the cold and she was shivering like a leaf in the wind. Her ears drooped low and her tail lay limp at her feet. He couldn't believe how stupid humans were sometimes. How could they not predict a storm this bad? Without a second thought, he rushes over and wraps her in a tight embrace to warm her up. She stiffened at first but slowly started to relax into his chest. "You absolute fool! I told you that humans weren't to be out in a storm this bad and yet here you are half frozen." After what seemed like forever of hugging the girl he let her go. He looked down at her with a slight look of concern as she shivered violently. "Go change into dry clothes and then meet me in my study. I'm going to make some tea to warm you up." She nodded softly before rushing up the stairs. After she was out of sight Lucifer made his way to the kitchen to make some hot tea. Usually Starry would argue with Lucifer, especially after a snide remark. But she didn't have it in her and instead had a stiff nod and headed to her room. She quickly peeled off the cold wet clothes and put on a warm sweater and sweatpants. She sneezed and sniffled as she dried her hair the best she could before brushing it out. Afterwards Starry goes into the study and sees Lucifer isn't in there, most likely making tea still. She walks over to the lit fireplace and lays down on the rug. Her body is still cold and shivering as she curls up in front of the fire. Despite being cold, she could feel herself sweating and a headache coming on. But she wouldn't say anything to Lucifer, he was annoyed enough with her as is. Starry knew she was going to end up sick but that didn't mean that she had to tell him that.
By the time Lucifer entered his study with a mug of tea, Starry was fast asleep on the floor in front of the fire. He stared down at her with a blank expression as he set the mug on his desk. How could someone be so damn irresponsible? He shook his head as he went to pick her up. When he did though she curled into his chest and held on tightly. This action made his heart beat quicken slightly as he looked down at her. Why did this woman make him feel so different? "Starry... You can't sleep on the floor like that. You'll catch your death out here. Wake up and drink this tea. Then I want you to go to bed and rest." She just curled more into his chest and muttered a small no. "Don't say no to me Starry. Come on now wake up." He lightly shook her to try and wake her up. When he did he saw how flushed her cheeks were. Was she getting a fever? Starry felt dizzy and didn't want to open her eyes as she felt Lucifer holding her. She feels his turn and sits down, presumably on the couch, before shifting her in his lap. When she feels his hand on her forehead she grumbles and swats his hand away. "I'm fine Lucifer. You can scold me later, I'm going to go lay down." She grumbled out and tried to stand up from his lap. Her limbs were already feeling heavy as she shifted and moved to sit up. Her head pounding as she stood up and stumbled towards the door. She didn't want to hear Lucifer bitch right now and knew he was probably pissed at her, she couldn't deal with a lecture right now.
Lucifer grabbed Starry's wrist before she could leave the room. Her skin was burning up and it felt like he was being burned as he touched her. How long had she been out in the rain for? Was it so bad that she got sick this quickly? "No Starry you are not fine. I told you that humans can't be in a storm like that without repercussions and now look what's happened. Sit back down. I'm going to go fetch a thermometer." She gave him a small glare but did as she was told and sat back down on the couch. After grabbing a thermometer he walked back to the study and sat down beside her. He looked over at her as he placed the thermometer under her tongue. Even when she's sick she still glares at him. She truly was stubborn. He was brought out of his thoughts as the device beeped signaling the results were ready. "Your temperature is at... one hundred and three degrees!? How long were you in that storm?" His tone came out more shocked than angry. He knew that he needed to bring her fever down fast or else things could get bad. Lucifer looked over to the neko and she gave him a small glare. This meant that she was going to try to take care of herself when he knew she couldn't. Her stubbornness was really starting to get on his nerves. "Starry please listen to me for once in your life. I don't have time to argue with you about this. Just please let me help you."
Starry crossed her arms and sniffled as she struggled to keep her burning eyes open. "Your thermometer is probably busted. I was out the for maybe an hour... I didn't mean to. It just started pouring out of nowhere and it took forever for me to get back to the house. I just need some sleep..." She says with a huff and looks away from him and towards the fire to avoid his gaze. As if she would in be stupid enough to intentionally stay out in this crazy storm. He's more a fool than she is if he really thinks she did it just for fun as if she wanted to get sick. Lucifer sighed heavily. There was no getting through to her at this point. It was either fight her about it until she gives up and listens to him or he just lets her do it on her own. At least if he's there to watch her he can make sure she doesn't do anything to make it worse. After thinking about it for a moment he nodded to himself and stood up. He turned to her and bent down to her level. "Okay. I understand that you didn't mean to. I'll let it slide for now. But... I want you to promise me something. If it gets worse I need you to promise me that you'll come and find me to help you. No trying to hide it or taking medicine and saying you're fine. I want you to find me and tell me. Okay?" When she didn't answer he raised a brow at her. "Understand?"
"yeah yeah, I got it." She rasps out and clears her throat with a slight cough. As she stands up again the whole room spins and everything seems to meld together. But she's able to get up and make it out of his study without stumbling this time. Lucifer still follows her towards her room until she gets there and closes the door behind her. Despite her temperature being a dangerous 103 degrees, she feels like she's freezing. So she puts on a second sweater and another pair of sweatpants before crawling into bed. Starry shivers as she snuggles up into her blankets and eventually drifts off to sleep. As she closed the door in his face Lucifer knew that she wasn't going to get any better on her own. He leaned against the wall by the door and sighed to himself. If he didn't get her to admit that she needed help soon she was going to get much worse. It wasn't normal for someone's body to rise this high without medical attention. He looked up at the door and wondered if he should go inside and see how she was doing. If he was to walk in though would she get mad at him and yell at him to get out? No, he needed to do something. If she got worse it would be all his fault.
The next thing he knew he was inside her room not even an hour later and walking over to her bedside. She was buried deep under a pile of blankets. She was panting softly and her hair was sticking to her face, drenched in sweat. As he got closer he heard her whimpering. The sound was pitiful and sent a pang through his heart. She didn't deserve this. Not at all. She didn't do this to herself on purpose. He reached out and pulled back a layer of the blankets to see her face. Her face was flushed red and her eyes were shut tight. A pained expression was on her face as she continued to pant. Her ears were pressed against her head and her tail was wrapped around her legs. She looked absolutely pitiful like this. "Starry." His voice was soft as he reached out and brushed a lock of hair out of her face. "Are you okay? Do you need anything?" When he didn't get a response he knew she was too out of it to answer. That left him to his own thoughts. Should he stay here? Would she want him to stay? What would probably be best? He stood up and turned to walk away when he heard her whimper his name. Lucifer was back at her side in seconds. His eyes searched her face for answers. Did she want him to stay or get Diavolo? Before he could decide he felt her small hand grab his. Her fingers wrapped around his in a vice grip as she squeezed him tightly.
"Luc..ifer..." She whimpered out, in her delirious state she couldn't be for sure it was him. But her heightened sense of smell, even dulled, was able to pick up his smell... or what she thought was his smell. As much as she didn't want his help and got bitched at about it later, she needed someone. Her body was covered in sweat and hurt, her head was pounding and her eyes could barely open. A cool hand presses down against her forehead and she weakly tries to shake it off. She feels the blankets being pulled off of her making her whine and reach for them. "Noo m'cold..." She mumbles out and opens her unfocused eyes, squinting slightly and seeing Lucifer talking on his DDD. "Yes, I know you're busy helping Diavolo. I would never bother you with this if I had any other choice. The human has fallen ill because of a storm and has a dangerously high fever. She's barely coherent and needs someone who knows what they're doing to come take care of her. Human meditation will take too long, can't you just come cast a quick spell?" Lucifer pleaded with Barbatos to just come quickly. He knew it was wrong to plead with anyone for anything. Especially since he's normally the one who tells everyone else what to do. He could feel Starry's hand gripping onto his own as she shivered beside him. He sighed softly as he listened to the other demon talk to him about coming to help. When he finished explaining to the demon what was going on the line went dead.
A few moments later Barbatos teleported into the room and walked over to the side of the bed where Starry lay shivering under a mountain of blankets. Lucifer watched as he reached down and ran his hand through her sweat soaked hair before resting it against her forehead. "Lucifer she's burning up. How long has she been like this?" Barbatos asks as he looks down at the trembling neko who rubs her face against his cool hand. Barbatos offers her a soft smile before turning back to Lucifer for an answer. "I can use a spell that will prevent it from getting worse. By tomorrow morning she should be fine but for the rest of today, she will need care. I'm sure I don't have to remind you how important it is to keep our human exchange students healthy. I trust you will see to it that she is taken care of until tomorrow morning." Lucifer sighed before looking over to Barbatos with a small nod. "Of course I know that. I will see to it that she has everything that she needs to recover. And when she's well again she won't be going outside in storms like that anymore." Barbatos nods before casting the spell to stabilize Starry's condition. The green glow of his magic fades after a moment and he turns to Lucifer. "She will most likely still be cold and in pain but she should be fine. I can give you a bottle of medicine for her to take and make her feel better." He says and snaps his fingers, a bottle filled with a thick green liquid poof in his hands. Barbatos hands it to Lucifer and gives a slight bow because opening a portal and leaving. "Let me know if you need any further assistance." With those final words he leaves and it's only Lucifer and Starry in the room.
Starry whines softly as Lucifer shakes her and tries to wake her up. She swats at him before curling in on herself and hugging her arms around her shivering. "Lucifer... m'cold..." She complains and hears him sigh softly as she looks over at him and tries to focus. Lucifer pours the medicine into the bottle cap and holds it out to her. As soon as the smell hits her nose she scrunches her face up and turns around to lay on her other side. "I know that you don't like the taste but you have to take this so you can start feeling better," Lucifer explains with a small frown. He watches as Starry slowly turns around and looks at him with her tired half-lidded eyes. It took everything in him not to just pull her close and hug her right there. She was so vulnerable right now that she was completely trusting him to help her. Even if she didn't realize it herself he knew. He sighs softly before holding the medicine out again. When she took it he was a bit shocked but glad she didn't fight him this time. Her face contorted into a grimace as she swallowed the disgusting liquid and gave him the bottle back. "Good girl.” Starry coughed softly and sniffled as she looked up at him with hazy eyes. She felt like she was freezing even though she was soaked in sweat from her fever. Having two layers of clothes on didn't help either and the under layer was stuck to her skin. As Lucifer tries to pull her jacket off she weakly struggles and pushes at him. "Nooo..." She whined out and gave a hiss before weakly biting on Lucifer's jacket covered arm. It wasn't enough to hurt even as she put in slight force, her fangs didn't even pierce his clothes.
"Stop your fussing. I know you hate being helped and you always say you don't want help but right now I'm doing this whether you like it or not." He huffed as he peeled off the top layer of sweat soaked clothes and threw them in the laundry basket. When he tried to take off the other layers though she started to struggle more. Lucifer had to pin her arms down and lean against her to stop her from moving too much. Why did she have to make this so difficult? It would be so much easier if she just listened to him. "Stop moving and let me help you dammit! I am only trying to help you so stop fighting me and let me!" As soon as those words came out of his mouth he regretted them. How could he have let himself lose control like that? The way she flinched made his heart shatter and he felt terrible. That was never his intention. All he wanted to do was get these wet clothes off of her and give her new ones. Why did she have to fight him so much? Tears filled Starry's eyes and started to roll down her cheeks. She was cold thanks to the fever and was too far out of it to understand that the wet clothes were making it worse. Even though Barbatos's spell would have her cured by the morning it didn't help her current situation. She is always so strong and independent, refusing help from anyone no matter what. But now in this state, she needed it whether she liked it or not which frustrated her even more.
"Please stop crying. I didn't mean to upset you." He spoke softly as he moved his hand up and gently wiped away the tears. Her eyes followed his movements before flicking up to meet his gaze. Those emerald eyes were clouded and hazy with illness. His hand moved down to rest against her cheek. He knew he shouldn't be doing this. It would only make him want more. It was bad enough that she already made him feel like this but he couldn't stop himself. He didn't want to. When he finally moved his hand back he was surprised when her hand caught his wrist. Was she trying to make this even harder? "What is it? Do you need something else?" He asked with a raised brow as he watched her. She holds his hand to her cheek and gently rubs her cheek against it while closing her eyes. While his hand felt cold on her face his touch was comforting to her. Starry tugged at his jacket sleeve trying to pull him closer to her and nuzzles her face into the palm of his hand. Lucifer felt the air leave his lungs as she nuzzled into his hand. Why was she making him feel this way? Why did she always make him feel like he couldn't control himself? She was like a drug to him and he was addicted to her. No matter what he did she made it hard for him to concentrate on anything. Just by being near her, she made him feel like he wasn't himself. With a sigh, he pulled his hand back and shook his head. This was not the time to be thinking about things like that. "If you want to get warm I can wrap you in a blanket and bring you to the living room where you can sit by the fire. If you're hungry I can bring you food and tea.
Before Starry could register what he had even said he pulled off the last layer of her clothes making her whine. Leaving her in just her bra and underwear, Lucifer wrapped her up in her blanket and lifted her bridal style. She clung to his jacket and curled into him as he carried her. However, instead of going into the living room, Lucifer decided to just bring her to his study. That way he could still work and watch over her, or at least that's what he was telling himself. Lucifer puts Starry down on the couch in his study and leaves to make tea and bring her back some food. Her eyes flutter open at the loss of contact and she cracks them open and looks around. "Lucifer?" She mumbles softly and feels tears forming in her eyes again. Did he abandon her? Was he too aggravated to deal with her? Several of these questions swam around in her delirious mind as she lay there with tears streaming down her face as she sniffed softly. It hadn't taken very long to get the tea and bring back a few snacks for Starry. When he re-entered his study he found her asleep on the couch. But there was something different about it. There were tears on her cheeks and she looked as if she had been crying. He felt guilty that he might have done something to make her upset. He set the tea and snacks down on the coffee table before kneeling in front of the neko. His hands reached out and softly ran through her hair and rubbed her ears. She seemed to like it when he played with her hair and ears. So maybe she'd feel better if he did that. After a couple of minutes, her eyes cracked open and she stared up at him with an unfocused gaze.
Fresh tears started to roll down her face as she recognized Lucifer and she reached out and hugged him. "Lucifer... please don't abandon me... I'm sorry... I didn't mean to get sick..." She babbles out through her tears and sniffles as she nuzzles into his neck. "It's okay I'm not going anywhere," Lucifer whispered softly as he held Starry in his arms. Her body trembled in his embrace as he held her. He couldn't believe she would think that he would ever leave her alone when she needed him. How could someone as smart and beautiful as her think that someone like him would want to leave her? She didn't understand how much power she truly had over him. How with just a word from her he would drop everything and be at her beck and call. Even if he knew it was wrong. Even though it goes against everything he stands for. If she wanted it he would move mountains just to hear her say his name. The thought of him abandoning her was absolutely preposterous. It almost made him laugh out loud. "I'm right here with you." After what seemed like an eternity to him, he leaned back to see that she had fallen asleep against his chest. A smile formed on his face as he gently laid her back down on the couch and went to work at his desk. Occasionally he would look up at the sleeping neko on his couch and he couldn't help but smile. This is the side of her that she doesn't show anyone else. The part of her that is so fragile and weak. She doesn't trust anyone with it. Only he gets to see her like this and it makes his chest swell with pride.
The next morning Starry woke up feeling much better, it was as if she was never sick in the first place thanks to Barbatos's spell. She sits up and instantly realizes that she isn't in her room... she's in Lucifer's room. Her cheeks flushed dark red remembering all the embarrassing things her fevered self said and did. Specifically remembering why she's in his room, he had tried to leave her in her own room but she refused and begged to stay with him. "Goddamn it Starry..." She curses herself and gets out of his bed to go take a shower. Starry returns to her room and gets dressed before heading out to find Lucifer. The last thing she wanted was for the others to find out about the things that happened while she was sick... if they didn't already know. She happens to come across Beel and stops him in the hallway. "Hey Beel, do you know where Lucifer is?" She asked as the demon nodded and continued to eat a bag of chips. "He's probably in his study," Beel said as he munched on another handful of chips. His stomach rumbled loudly as he glanced down at it and rubbed it with his free hand. It seemed as though he wasn't going to be satisfied until he ate more. So he turned and began to walk away from the neko. Most likely to find more food. Starry nodded thanks and quickly turned to head towards Lucifer's study. She burst through the doors not bothering to knock and saw him sitting at his desk. His head shoots up with a surprised look as he watches Starry march in.
When the door to his study was slammed open and a frazzled looking Starry marched in Lucifer nearly fell out of his chair. What had he done wrong this time? Was he about to get yelled at? "Starry. You seem to be... better today." He stated with a small chuckle. Her face turned beet red as she crossed her arms over her chest. That was when he noticed that she had changed clothes and was showered. "What can I do for you?" He asked before standing from his chair and walking around to the front of his desk. He leaned back against it and placed his hands on either side of him. If she was going to yell at him then it wouldn't matter if he stood or sat. She stared at him for a moment feeling her face heat up more and more. She wanted to yell at him and tell him that he should have minded his business. But no matter how she looked at it, he's the reason she feels better today. He took care of her. Starry lets out a deep exhale as she focuses on her feet and shifts her weight. Her ears are cocked back and her tail swishes low behind her. "T-Thank you for.. you know... helping me out yesterday..." She mumbles softly and glances up at him for a moment. "Did... did anyone other than Barbatos see me while I was sick?" She asked hoping that no one else saw her like that, it was bad enough that Lucifer did.
He watched her silently as she avoided looking at him and shifted uncomfortably in front of him. She really hated showing this side of herself. Even if she was sick and couldn't help it. The sight of her being so embarrassed made his chest tighten and he couldn't help but smile. He couldn't remember the last time that he had seen someone so uncomfortable around him. She really was different than any other human he had met. Her reaction was genuine and it made him feel warm inside. "No one other than Barbatos and I saw you. I promise you that your dignity remains intact." Starry's ears cocked back further as she let out a harsh hiss at his snarky remark. Lucifer simply chuckled as she crossed her arms with a huff. After a moment she looks back up at him feeling her face warming up again. "I would like to keep it that way... I mean, I'd prefer if the events from yesterday stayed between you and me." She says while rubbing the side of her neck. His eyes trailed over the woman's features as he took in the meaning of her words. She was asking him to keep her vulnerable state a secret. But what would she offer him in return? Surely she wasn't that naïve. A smirk formed on his lips as he pushed off the desk and walked closer to the neko. "And what are you offering me in return for my silence?" The air around the two became heavy with tension as the man towered over her. Lucifer stared down at her with a knowing look as she struggled to speak. He was playing a dangerous game and he knew it. But he couldn't resist seeing how far he could push her before she backed down. He could see the gears turning in her head as she looked up at him.
Starry narrowed her eyes and cleared her throat as she thought to herself. Of course, he would pull something like this. But she would do just about anything if it meant keeping her pride intact. If the other brothers found out about how vulnerable and pathetic she was yesterday they would never let her live it down. Especially Lucifer, he would be the worst of them since she said so many embarrassing things to him while she was in his care. "Alright goddamn it... What do you want in return?" She spits out and shifts her weight on her feet, figuring it would be easier for him to just tell her what he wants. A dark chuckle erupted from the demon as he heard the neko's response. Oh, how she must regret those words right now. How easy it would be to ask for something that could get her in trouble or even hurt her. But where would the fun be in that? What he wanted wasn't something that would harm her. At least not physically. He had already thought this out thoroughly. It had taken him a good portion of last night to figure out what he wanted from her. "If I told you what I wanted would you be willing to do it?" Starry clicked her tongue and rolled her eyes with an annoyed sigh. "That depends on what it is Lucifer." She states with a huff and watches him look at her for a moment before he reaches into his pocket. Lucifer pulls out his DDD and starts to text on it making Starry freeze. "Who are you texting?" She asks and takes a step towards him as his smirk widens.
"Just texting my brothers." He answered nonchalantly before pausing and looking up at her with a daring smile. The air between them grew tense as he continued to text. "You said anything correct?" He asked in a taunting manner as she gave him a glare. She looked like she wanted to slap the DDD out of his hand. It amused him that she was this upset over it. "I'll let you decide for yourself whether or not you want to honor your deal. You've got ten seconds before I send these texts to the rest of my brothers." As the realization dawned on her face she looked as though she was ready to pounce on him. Her eyes widened and her ears pressed back. "Lucifer" She growled out as her pupils narrow into slits and she glares at him. It wasn't until he started counting down that she gave in. Besides, she didn't stand a chance against him anyway even with her enhanced abilities. There was no way she'd be able to get that DDD from him no matter how hard she tried. She holds her hands up and takes a step forward shaking her head as he gets to the last few seconds. "Ok ok! I'll do whatever, alright? Fucking asshole... just... just don't ask me to do something stupid.." She grumbles as he chuckles and erases whatever the message was he typed before putting his DDD back in his pocket.
"Oh please you act like I asked you to strip for me or something." He mused with a chuckle as he looked down at the blushing neko. She was truly adorable when she was flustered. The way her nose scrunched up and her ears flattened against her head made his heart skip a beat. He knew that this wouldn't make her want to spend time with him but at least he would get some of his frustrations out. "All I want from you is for you to do the simple tasks I ask of you for the rest of today. If you do then I'll pretend yesterday never happened and no one else will know about it. I'll even make sure Barbatos doesn't say anything to anyone about it. Do we have a deal?" Lucifer held out his hand with a confident smile as he awaited her response. If she denied then he would gladly tell everyone about what happened. She seemed to weigh her options for a moment before nodding her head in agreement and taking his hand. Lucifer smiled and shook her hand gently before releasing it. He walked back to his desk and pulled out his paperwork. Starry watches as he grabs his pen and situates his papers before looking at her. He turns his chair and motions for her to go to him, his gaze never leaving hers. She walks over with a weary look and stands in front of him as she crosses her arms. "What?"
Lucifer looked up at the neko as she stood in front of him with an expression that told him she was clearly upset about what he was about to ask her to do. He didn't want to force her to do it but if he didn't then she would just ignore him all day. This way he could get rid of a large amount of paperwork while also getting some personal satisfaction out of it. With a sigh, he gestured for her to sit on his lap. "I'm afraid I have quite a bit of paperwork to get through today. But if you were to sit here and just be near me while I work then it would be more tolerable. I just want to have your company for a while." He explained as he watched the neko stare at him with her brows knitted together. She really had no clue how badly he wanted her near him. If only she knew the lengths that he would go to just to see her. It made his heart race just thinking about it. Starry's face starts to burn as her ears press flat on her head and her tail whips behind her. She slowly walks over to him as he holds his arms open to her. As she turns to sit down she feels him grab her hips and spin her around. Lucifer pulls her into his lap making her straddle him as well as face him. She gasps when he pulls her flush against his body making her hug him. Lucifer turns and rolls his chair back up to his desk. He picks up his pen and starts to write and work on his papers. Starry's face is a dark red with embarrassment as she sits with her head on his shoulder. Her tail smacks against his desk as it whips back and forth aggressively. She couldn't believe that he would make her do anything like this, something so intimate so damn embarrassing. But he simply sits there and does his work with her hugged around him as if it’s the most normal thing in the world.
The sound of the neko's tail hitting the side of his desk made him realize how agitated she really was about being this close to him. He knew it must be very embarrassing for her. It was obvious just by the way she was fidgeting that she wasn't happy with this arrangement. However, he also knew that if he had asked her to sit next to him she probably would have refused. At least this way he would get the same amount of contact with her and she would be less likely to get away from him. He couldn't help but chuckle when her tail hit his desk again. When he felt her move closer to him and rest her head on his shoulder Lucifer's pen stilled. Starry huffed softly and shifted in his lap to get more comfortable as she laid her head down. Despite her current situation she knew how busy Lucifer was and knew that if he made her sit here the whole time it would be a while. She figured she might as well get comfortable and even considered taking a small nap. At least then she would be able to escape this embarrassment in her dreams.
After several minutes of working on his paperwork, Lucifer was starting to feel rather bored. There was nothing exciting about doing all of this paperwork and knowing that the neko on his lap was sleeping did nothing to ease the feeling of boredom. He looked down at her face as she slept soundly on his shoulder. How was it that someone could look so innocent while they slept? Her brows weren't knitted together as they normally were and her ears twitched slightly. Even the way she breathed was soft and gentle. If she wasn't asleep he would have found himself reaching up and rubbing them just to feel the soft fur. His hands rested on her back and he gently traced her spine. A smile formed on his lips as he listened to her purring quietly as she slept. He was lost in thought of how calm she looked when a knock on the door startled her awake. Her eyes snap open and she quickly sits up to look over her shoulder at the door. Starry squirms to get out of Lucifer's lap only for the demon to hold her firmly in place. "Lucifer let go! It's one thing to do this when we're alone but I don't want the others to see." She whispered out harshly as her cheeks started to warm up at the thought of the others seeing her in such a compromised position. She hissed at him and let out a growl when he wouldn't let her get away and instead hugged her tightly against his body making her freeze. He was... hugging her? Even though she was fighting him and making things difficult, he was still choosing to hug her.
"Shhh..." He whispered to her as he gently rubbed her back. "Just stay here. Unless you're backing out on our deal and would rather me tell my brothers about yesterday. Actually, I think I even have a few pictures that I sent to Barbatos still on my phone." The neko instantly tensed up at his words and turned to look at him. Her eyes widened in fear as she realized what he was implying. He reached into his pocket and pulled out his DDD to show her what he was talking about. She quickly reached out to try and grab it but he easily kept it out of her reach. Lucifer chuckled as she pouted and tried to wiggle out of his grasp. But he kept her pinned in place as he put his phone back in his pocket. "See? I thought so." Another knock came from the door and they could hear Asmo and Mammon on the other side. Those were the last two that she wanted to see her in a position like this. "Lucifer please, I'll sit right back down after they leave." She tries again this time pleading with him as he chuckles with an amused smile. The sadistic bastard was clearly enjoying this and didn't even bother to hide it from her. "I told you before that if you agreed to this then you wouldn't be getting off until I said so." He leaned forward and spoke in a low voice against her ear. Her cheeks flushed bright red as she stared up at him with shock written all over her face. Her breath hitched and her pulse quickened at the sight of the sinister smirk he was giving her. "Are you really that eager to leave me?" He teased before leaning back in his chair with a smug expression. This was a new side to Lucifer that she had never seen before. She knew he was a tease but this was something completely different. He seemed to be enjoying every minute of this and it was clear he wasn't planning on letting her get away.
Before either of them could speak further another knock sounded at the door making Starry jump. She was startled by the sudden noise and the way her heart rate had increased when Lucifer spoke in such a sultry tone. Her mind was racing as she tried to figure out what to do. But it seemed that she wouldn't have time to come up with anything. The sound of the doorknob turning told her that their visitors would soon be entering. There was no time to get away from Lucifer before he wrapped his arms around her and held her tightly against him. Starry was now completely trapped in his lap with no way out. She quickly buries her red face into the side of Lucifer's neck to hide it from the others. There was no way she would be able to look at Asmo and Mammon while she was like this. So she decides to pretend to be asleep, thankful that her back is to them. "Oh~ Lucifer you didn't tell us that you two were having fun. I'm so jealous~" Asmo spoke in a sing song tone as he eyed the scene before him. The way she was wrapped up in Lucifer's lap was very telling of what was happening earlier. Not to mention her ears and tail gave her away as she hid her face in the demon's neck. He was clearly enjoying this more than she was as he looked over at the two with a mischievous glint in his eye. "You're interrupting important work. Is there something you need?" Lucifer asked with an uninterested tone as he continued to work on his papers. He could see the frustration building on the two brothers' faces at the fact that they were being ignored. Lucifer didn't care though. He knew why they were there and it wasn't for any important reason.
"Aww are ya really going to continue workin’ with her sleepin' like that?" Mammon complained as he watched Lucifer with a sour expression. The demon simply hummed as he worked and ignored the other. The room grew tense as the silence stretched out longer and longer.
Asmo let out a frustrated sigh and rolled his eyes before he finally spoke up. "Fine~ You're no fun! We just wanted to ask you about the plans for dinner. But since you're sooo busy we'll come back later. Bye bye, Starry!~" Lucifer watched with a smug grin as the two turned and left the room. As soon as the door was shut Starry relaxed in his hold and sighed. She leans up and looks back at the now closed door that the pair just walked out of. Her blush was all the way down her neck as she snapped to glare at Lucifer. "One day I'm going to get you back for this you bastard." She growled out and buried her face back into his shoulder as he laughed. Starry couldn't look at that handsome smug face right now, she felt like she was about to die from embarrassment. It wasn't hard for Lucifer to tell that the neko was absolutely humiliated about what had just happened. Her body trembled and her skin burned. It was almost too adorable to handle.
"Come now. I didn't even have you doing anything inappropriate." Lucifer mused with a chuckle as she let out a whine and pushed herself away from him. With the loss of warmth, the demon frowned. It had felt good to have her in his lap and be able to touch her like this. He missed her already. "If you would prefer to be elsewhere I can always text my brothers." He said with a knowing smile as she shook her head vigorously. She seemed to get the point because she sat back down on his lap with a huff. Once again she tried to get comfortable with him and he allowed her to do so. Lucifer watched her as she shifted around on his lap. The way she wiggled was not helping the growing problem that he was now faced with. When he was finally able to ignore his body's reactions he went back to doing his work. He was able to focus on it better this time because the neko was laying her head on his shoulder again. Occasionally she would rub her cheek against his shoulder and it caused him to pause in his writing. She really had no clue what she was doing to him. He had to constantly remind himself to stay calm and keep his composure After what seemed like forever Lucifer sighed and put his pen down, finished with his work. He rolls his chair back and feels Starry lift up her head and look behind her at his desk. Lucifer unwraps his arms from her and motions that she can get up now. Starry stands up with her cheeks tinged pink as he follows suit. Lucifer stretches his arms above his head and groans as his joints pop. He takes her hand and walks her over to the couch before grabbing her shoulders and sitting her down. His face is serious as he snaps his fingers and points down while looking at her.
"Good. Now stay. I don't want to hear a peep from you. You are not to move until I come back with food." The demon said as he glared down at the neko. His tone left no room for argument so she simply nodded her head with a pout. With a smile, he stood back up and smoothed out his clothes before heading for the door. Before leaving he glanced back at her one last time with a smirk. "Be a good girl for me. I won't be long." The sound of his office door shutting rang out in the silent room as the neko sat in silence. After a few minutes she let out a heavy sigh and laid back on the couch. Lucifer really had gotten her to agree to do some weird things today. "I'm not a dog you son of a bitch." She grumbled to herself while crossing her arms. What the hell was the point of all of this? Did he just enjoy seeing her like this? Regardless she fully planned to check the weather every single day to make sure this predicament didn't happen again. If only she hadn't gotten sick then this wouldn't be a problem. After some time Lucifer walks back in with a tray of food and tea for them. He smiles seeing that she's still sitting where he put her on the couch. He places the tray down on the coffee table in front of the couch and sits beside her. As she reaches for a piece of fruit he grabs her wrist to stop her. Lucifer grabbed the piece of fruit she was reaching for and held it to her lips. Her eyes widened as she leaned back and shook her head at him. "You are not feeding me." She states and looks away as he raises his eyebrow and keeps the fruit held towards her lips.
Lucifer chuckled lightly at her stubbornness and moved the piece of fruit closer to her mouth. The way she was avoiding his gaze told him that she was more flustered about this than she would admit. "Oh? Is that so?" He questioned in a mocking tone. He moved the piece of fruit over her lips again as he watched her with an amused smirk. There was no way he was going to give up now.
"I don't remember asking your opinion on the matter. Now be a good girl and eat. Unless you would rather be in my lap again. After all, these are small simple tasks that I'm asking of you. Would you rather I start making you do... other things?” The demon let his voice drop to a low tone as he spoke to the neko. It was very apparent how uncomfortable she was by this whole situation and he knew that she wouldn't argue back. "So what will it be? Do I feed you or would you rather me do other things to you?" The atmosphere around them grew tense as they stared each other down. Neither one of them would be the first to look away. They remained silent for what felt like forever until the neko finally spoke. "F-Fine..." She murmured, not wanting to find out what he was hinting at making her do. Starry leaned forward and allowed Lucifer to feed her a strawberry. She snaps her fangs at him as he quickly withdraws his hand so she can't bite him. She begrudgingly chews the piece of fruit in her mouth as he chuckles and reaches to grab another piece. He holds the second piece out to her and watches her ears cock back as her tail smacks the couch behind her. "Seriously? again? I can feed myself just fine Lucifer." She says and takes the grape from his fingers while glaring at him.
"You are quite the little brat aren't you?" Lucifer said as he picked up another piece of fruit for her. She took the piece of fruit from his hand again and made a show of biting into it and swallowing. She knew how to push his buttons and she wasn't afraid to use that to her advantage. The demon couldn't help but laugh at her behavior. It was cute to see her trying to be rebellious like this. However, it wasn't going to get her very far. He was enjoying teasing her far too much to stop now. He grabbed another piece of fruit and held it to her lips again with a knowing smirk. Her face flushed bright red and her ears flattened on her head as she avoided eye contact. Lucifer waited patiently as she stared at the food in his hand. After a moment she looked away with a soft huff and slowly leaned forward to eat the piece of fruit. Lucifer continues to feed her and offer her tea as they eat together in silence. Eventually Starry gave up and just let him feed her food by hand. She glares at him as he hums contently as if he isn't purposely putting her through embarrassing situations. "What the fuck are you playing at Lucifer?" She finally blurts out as he finishes his tea and pours them both another cup.
"Playing? Who said anything about playing?" He asks as he leans back on the couch and looks at the neko with a knowing smile. The demon watched as she squirmed uncomfortably under his gaze before sighing and setting his cup down. She clearly wasn't going to back down so easily. He had hoped that she would be a little less stubborn and let him continue his ministrations without fighting. But alas she was never one to let others have their way. "If you must know I'm just having fun with you. Is that so wrong? Have you considered maybe I simply wish to spend some time with you? Perhaps even get to know you better?” Lucifer's tone was mocking as he watched her roll her eyes with a sigh. Her response was something that he expected from the fiery neko. She was stubborn and strong-willed. He could tell just by looking at her that she wasn't someone to back down easily. And honestly, he found it quite amusing that she could be so aggressive when she wanted to be. "I'm simply doing what you agreed to do. After all, you did say you would do whatever I asked. This should be simple enough for you." Starry growls and narrows her eyes at him searching his face and trying to figure out what he was thinking. "Bullshit. I always cause you trouble and lock horns with you. You expect me to believe that you're doing this because you want to get to know me? Pft." She huffs out and shakes her head while crossing her arms and staring at the fire in front of them. Did he really expect her to believe that? He was a fool if he did. "If it's just to get to know me then why make me sit in your damn lap and let you hand feed me?" She asks as her cheeks start to warm up, she is just ready for today to be over with. Then she could forget about all of this and not have to do Lucifer's requests anymore.
"Why? Isn't it obvious?" Lucifer's eyes trailed over the neko's form as she sat there on his couch. It was very obvious to him why he had chosen these particular actions. She didn't seem to understand just how much power she had over him. And that thought was absolutely maddening. How could she be so blind to her own appeal? The way her ears twitched every so often made his heart beat faster and her tail swaying side to side drew his attention. Everything about her made his chest swell with warmth and his mind go fuzzy. Just looking at her was enough to send his pulse racing. "You fascinate me." The demon leaned forward and rested his elbows on his knees as he stared into her green eyes. His red and black gaze locked onto hers as he spoke with a serious tone. "You're stubborn and prideful but also kind and compassionate. You put everyone else before yourself without a second thought. It's... refreshing. Most people in this world only think about themselves. And to top it all off you're absolutely adorable. I love seeing you squirm and get all flustered." His voice dropped to a low growl as he spoke those last few words. She was like a drug to him. She made him feel intoxicated whenever she was around. Lucifer's gaze wandered down to her plush pink lips as they parted slightly. His hands balled into fists as he fought the urge to pull her close and kiss her.
Her blush darkened as she listened to him speak about his fascination with her peculiar personality. She couldn't tell if he was being serious or just messing with her again. So she says nothing and instead turns her head towards the fire and drinks her tea. After a moment Lucifer gets up and retrieves a book from his desk before sitting back on the couch. She raises an eyebrow as he opens it and beckons for her to scoot closer. "For fucks sake... now what?" She grumbled and scooted closer to him, wanting to smack that smug smirk right off his face. "Just lay down and put your head in my lap while I read. You're welcome to get a book as well or play on your DDD, I'll even read my book to you if you'd like. Just stay with me." He spoke with a soft tone as he leaned back against the armrest and motioned for her to lie down. After a moment she let out a heavy sigh and laid back across the couch and put her head on his thighs. Lucifer watched her every movement carefully. The way she looked up at him with those big green eyes made his heart skip a beat. A light chuckle escaped him as he smiled and ran his fingers through her hair gently. He loved being able to touch her like this. The softness of her hair made him want to rub his face in it and he wanted nothing more than to feel her in his arms again.
Starry shivered feeling his hand in her hair as his nails gently grazed against her scalp. It felt... nice... Though she would prefer to not be lying in his lap at least laying on the couch was comfortable. She couldn't help but purr loudly as he started to carefully rub and scratch her ears. Starry turned and looked up at him as he sat there reading his book, mindlessly playing with her hair. She couldn't figure it out. Why was he catering to her like this when he could make her do anything with his blackmail? He could make her do terrible things or order her to do something ridiculous, yet he hasn't. She turns back towards the fire and watches the flames dance as her body relaxes slowly. "You know... you're really trusting me here. I could turn and bite your dick in a split second." She says with a smirk and starts to giggle when she feels him stiffen and his hand pauses in her hair. Clearly, she would never do something like that to him but his reaction was worth the comment. "Oh really now? So you think it would be wise to provoke me when I've got such a hold on you?" The demon's grip on the neko's hair tightened as he glared down at her with a scowl. With a smirk, he leaned down close to her ear and spoke in a low growl. "If you think for one second that you would get away with something like that then I would gladly show you just how much control I really have over you." His eyes locked onto hers and he could see the shock on her face at his words. The neko froze as he spoke in such a sultry tone and his words left no room for argument. After a few seconds, Lucifer relaxed and returned to his book as if nothing had happened.
Starry's gaze was locked on the fire in front of them as her heart pounded against her ribs. She was certain that he could hear it beating so hard that it might burst out of her chest. The feeling of him stroking her ears was comforting as her breathing began to calm down. However, the tension in the air between them was thick and she could tell that the demon was still very tense from her threat. "I was just kidding..." She mumbles and gasps when he pulls her hair again before going back to rubbing her ears. Her ears lowered and her tail wrapped around her leg as she blushes and curls her legs up. After playing on her DDD for about thirty minutes she finds herself getting bored. She sighs heavily and turns her head to look up at him again while he reads. "Can't we do something else? This is boring to just sit here." She complains as his eyes break from his book and look down to meet hers. "Something else?" He hummed as he marked his place in the book and set it aside. The neko continued to watch him with a bored expression as she shifted her position slightly. The sight of her squirming around in his lap was causing him to have... indecent thoughts. And he was starting to regret not making her sit in his lap again. It seemed she was having trouble keeping still as she kept wiggling around and adjusting her position. The sound of her clothes rustling filled his ears as she tried to get comfortable again. His hand stopped moving through her hair as his gaze locked onto hers. There was an odd look in her eyes as she stared up at him and he found himself becoming lost in her deep green eyes. "Do you trust me?" He asked the question carefully as he watched her brows furrow together.
The sudden shift in her mood made it clear that she wasn't expecting him to ask that question. Her hesitation and the way her body tensed made him want to hold her and keep her safe from everything bad in the world. Even if she didn't trust him fully yet he knew that there were still ways for them to bond and become closer. But for now, he would settle for the fact that she didn't seem to be uncomfortable around him. After a few minutes of silence, she finally answered. "Yeah... I trust you..." She says softly and turns back on her side to face away from him. It was true though. When it all came down to it, despite their quarrels, she really did trust him and his brothers. She knew that they would never actually put her in harm's way or hurt her. He nodded and closed his eyes as he thought about what to say next. It was obvious that she didn't know where he was going with this so she was waiting patiently for his response. The demon was having trouble putting his feelings into words so he decided to simply ask what he wanted. "Do you think you would enjoy cuddling? Since you find this to be boring." His face burned bright red as he waited for her answer. It was embarrassing to admit that he was craving physical contact with her but he would take what he could get. There was nothing worse than the feeling of being lonely and empty. After several minutes of silence, the neko rolled onto her other side and looked up at him with her head on his leg.
"Are you going to actually give me the choice?" She retorted back and watched a smile spread across his pink face. He leans her up off his lap and lays down on the couch before pulling her down beside him. Starry freezes as he wraps his arms around her and tangles their legs together. The little room on the couch leaves the two of them pressed against each other. "Lucifer isn't this a bit much?" She asks as she squirms against him and listens to him chuckle. "Is it really? Is it really that hard to share a couch with someone? Especially when they are in your care? It's just for a little while. I promise I won't do anything... unless you want me to." He said in a teasing tone as he looked down at the neko lying beside him. The blush on her cheeks only deepened as she stared up at him in shock. She quickly averted her eyes and tried to wiggle her way from him. "What's wrong? Can't handle being close to someone for once? Are you scared to be near me? I thought you trusted me." He teased as she tried to get out of his grasp. It amused him to see her acting this way. She growls and lets out a harsh hiss as she bares her fangs at him, her tail thumping against the couch. "I'm not scared of you Lucifer." She snarls out and watches him raise an eyebrow at her as they lay there.
"Hmm is that so? Good, then it shouldn't be a problem for you to behave. I want you to lay here and keep still. Do not move and do not speak until I say you can. If I find that you don't obey me I will tell everyone what you did yesterday. Now be a good girl for me and let me hold you." Lucifer spoke in a firm tone as he watched her face flush dark red and her ears flattened against her head in shame. The sight of her looking away from him told him all he needed to know. She didn't plan on moving an inch from this spot. He reached out and cupped her cheek in his hand gently before turning her head back to face him. A small smile formed on his lips as she looked up at him with confusion. "Thank you." His voice dropped to a whisper as he looked down at the neko trapped underneath him. He leaned forward and kissed her forehead before wrapping his arms around her tightly. He took in the scent of her hair and allowed his eyes to fall closed. It felt good to have her pressed up against him like this. He knew he would never be able to get enough of her. She smelled so good. It was intoxicating. The demon buried his face in her neck and nuzzled her soft skin. Her scent was addicting. He knew he wouldn't be able to stop himself now that he was here with her. Starry tenses as they lay on their sides on his couch cuddling close together. Her face gets more and more red every time he kisses her cheek or the top of her head. Why is he kissing her? Is this just another way for him to taunt and embarrass her? A quiet purr escaped the demon's throat as he felt the neko in his arms tremble slightly. It felt good to be this close to her and he enjoyed having her body pressed up against his. She felt so warm and soft against him that he couldn't help but lean in closer and inhale the sweet scent of her hair. Her scent was intoxicating. He knew he wouldn't be able to resist anymore. He couldn't wait to feel her writhing under him as he left a trail of kisses down her neck. Lucifer leaned in and brushed his lips along her jawline as he held her tight. Her breath hitched at the action and he heard a low growl rise up in her throat. He smirked and trailed his kisses back up to her ear before stopping to nibble on the soft furry appendage. Her ears flickered as he nipped and blew on them making her shake her head. He continues to shower her with kisses leaving her a stunned and flustered mess. It pained him to think that she couldn't see herself as anything other than a nuisance to others. "Why are you looking away? I want to see your face. I want to see the expressions you make when I touch you. Please... let me see your beautiful eyes." He whispered in a husky tone as he gazed down at her blushing face. "I thought you found me annoying..." She admits and looks up at him trying to hold his black and red gaze. Starry gasps when he reaches down and lifts her leg to hook it over his waist. He gently rubs the thigh sitting on his hip and continues to kiss her. "Of course, I find you annoying sometimes. That doesn't mean that I don't like you. I wouldn't be here right now if I didn't like you." He murmured between kisses as he pulled her closer and hugged her tightly. His heart fluttered in his chest as she clung to him desperately. She trembled as he nuzzled her neck and inhaled her scent. It was intoxicating and addictive. He loved the way her body responded to his touch. Starry's face felt like it was going to explode from how hot it was. This was the last thing she had to do and then she didn't have to worry about Lucifer telling his brothers about yesterday. Yesterday when I was sick and everything that has happened today? Swear it will... I want you to swear that this stays quiet and we move on once it's done..." She says as he hums and continues to pepper kisses across her face. This whole situation was odd to her, sure, but this was Lucifer. One of the most handsome men she's ever laid her eyes on, well... most handsome demon. And even though he's just giving her kisses and petting her, it's definitely turning her on. He nodded slowly as he pulled back and looked down at her with lust filled eyes. He couldn't help but stare at her body as she lay there beneath him. She was perfect. He could feel his heart racing as he gazed down at her beautiful face. Her cheeks were flushed a dark red and her eyes shined brightly with need. It was absolutely intoxicating to him. "I promise.
